I work about half a mile from this restaurant, so had lunch delivered one day, to try something new. My order, the Santa Fe Wrap, was prepared really quickly, which is always great. The lettuce and tomato were very fresh and crunchy, and the chicken was seasoned pretty well. I will say if you're not a big fan of Fritos, then maybe remove the tortilla strips. Definitely recommend and will be back! Also, a little random but the NAPKINS! They are brown, but don't let that fool you into thinking they're those basic, scratchy ones. Phat Salads&Wraps has touted itself as the healthy food truck, frequently parking in front of HealthQuest. It appeals to the Californian healthy lifestyle vibe. They are more than happy to accommodate specialized diet requests, to their credit. The owner, Gia, is very friendly. They'd be at the now discontinued Thursday Night Chef's Market in downtown Napa. I'd often order their Santa Fe with steak (interestingly, salad is the most popular takeout item in Santa Fe) on whole wheat. The avocado&black beans make it filling. The chipotle lime dressing is excellent- perhaps Phat should bottle up its own dressings&sell them. However, they tend to overdo it with the lettuce. They're kind of pricey, but they're still OK. Phat is fine. Current status- According to the food truck's official website, they'll reopen on October 31st, due to change in ownership. read more

I asked to replace the meat for a substitute protein like avocado and they would not honor that option. Instead they wanted to charge for it. It's a mobile salad palace! Gia was fantastic (great customer service) and my Santa Fe chicken salad was delicious ... Love the chopped salad style with the perfect amount of dressing and extras (not overwhelming, just right). I also tried the tortilla soup which was amazing. I got a Chicken Cesar Salad Wrap from here a few days ago. They have many options and 2 different types of tortilla as well as the option to "make it phat" which is double meat. I only gave them 4 starts because it took a lot longer than I expected, especially when I only have a 30 minute lunch break. My wrap was huge, which is great for the price. But it fell apart all over the place and I had to use a fork and knife. The wrap had good flavor though and there was lots of chicken. I just wish it was slightly smaller and had less of the white romain lettuce ends. read more

This food truck was at Trentadue Winery happy hour event. I ordered an Asian Grilled Chicken Wrap for $10. It took 40 minutes for my order. Many many others waited an hour or more for their orders. Some couldn't wait and asked for their money back plus the tip they left. That is really too long for your order especially when they advertise "Phast and Phresh". I will say when I finally got my order the happy hour event was over and I just took it home. When I got home and removed the paper wrapping it was huge and not even cut in half! I couldn't eat it whole if at the event still. So at home I cut it in half but it needed more dressing. Luckily I had Sesame Ginger Dressing at home so I added it to the wrap and it was good. It was a bit messy and I wished I ordered it as a salad versus a wrap. When you're the only food vendor at an event, you've got to get the food out quickly since the event is only couple hours. read more

The Phat Wrap truck has changed ownership and sadly the quality has gone down hill. The last couple times I've ordered, I've found the salad greens to be not nearly as fresh. The old owner Gia always had the freshest salad. The new ownership seems to have also changed the recipe's somewhat, as I find the dressing they add to the wraps is slightly different much heavier application than before, which makes the wrap soggy. However, I love these! I've tried every wrap on the menu and they're all good. She uses very fresh ingredients and they're just the right size. My personal favorite is the Caesar wrap with chicken. It's simple, but has a great spicy dressing that I love. She also does phone in orders, which is great when you're in a hurry. Phat Food truck was at Trentadue Winery for Thursday night happy hour, June 13. Gave our order and was told it would take 15 minutes. 45 minutes later no food and lots of irate customers. We were told they were short one person. That being the case, they should not have said the order would take only 15 minutes. Either tell the truth or get extra help.
