This amazing hidden gem in the city of Compton doesn't disappoint. It's a very small restaurant, but the customer service is friendly, the store is very clean and the food is super yummy! The ingredients are extremely fresh.

The Pho was amazing. I got the shrimp pho and spicy wontons. The food was so delicious and I could taste the love in their dishes. You must try it!

    Chicken pad Thai

$18 chicken pad Thai is bland and the chicken is paper thin. I've had the pho before and it's decent, a little bit too salty for my taste but still good.

Some of the best pho I've had. I'm so happy I don't need to drive far for good noodles anymore. The broth is amazing, the service is quick. You're missing out if you don't try it.

    Beef Pho Xtra Spicy !

Love their beef Pho soup ! Always my go too and I always ask for it super spicy and it never disappoints

    Chicken pho !

Amazing service... and the chicken pho (plus the shrimp pho my friend got) were really really delicious. I loved it.. the scenery itself is pretty small, but clean. You get your moneys worth here. Don't over think. Just go!

Beef Pho, Spring rolls and a Squirt to wash it down! So delicious!

Food was sooo amazing! My first time having PHO and I absolutely enjoyed it. The beef Pho was so satisfying along with the spring rolls. Spring rolls only sold on Thursdays. I think I'm going back today lol. A MUST HAVE !

Ka-Theo with beef brisket, beef balls and tripe...with all the fixings and best chili oil(satay)

Amazing home cooked khmer noodles called Ka-Theo. Small, welcoming and very hospitable restaurant. A hidden gem...for sure!!! After we walked in they had to go orders going, and people ready to order and dine in. After the rush, we took our time making our selection and sat down ourselves. My kids are picky about their noodles. They had the beef ball Ka-Theo, my oldest ate all her noodles and helped her sister finish hers. My wife had the beef tripe Ka-Theo, she was speechless, enjoying every bite. I had their brisket, with beef balls and beef tripe Ka-Theo...DELICIOUS!! All the fixings were included, giving me all the best aromas and flavors I enjoy. I love a place that specializes in a simple menu, perfecting their ingredients, providing foodies like me, the best experience. If you are craving a nice warm bowl of noodle soup, swing by and try some of PHAT Noodle's Ka-Theo!! You won't regret it.

Feeling under the weather, so I came here for some pho. This is my second time coming here, unfortunately, no pictures were taken as I demolished the chicken pho I ordered. This place closes early and is only open during the week, but it is totally worth it if you can swing by. The chicken broth is so flavorful and you can request it spicy, which gives it an amazing kick. The service was good, and a few families were inside eating. It's a hole in the wall, but those are the best authentic places to eat.

    Are there vegan/vegetarian options (:?

We do have a vegan option. If you get #6 dry it becomes vegan. The rice noodles, tofu, broccoli, bok choy, and napa cabbage is sautéed with garlic oil and soy sauce.

I always order it when I go to Thai restaurants or places that have it. So I HAD to try theirs. My husband and I went last Wednesday night to order the mango sticky rice but they had sold out already. (The worker recommended I call them prior to going there to see if they still have some available) The worker was nice and friendly. The next day, I went with my kids because now I HAD to try it. This time, I called prior to see if they still had some on hand. When we arrived to the restaurant, the mango sticky rice was already stacked in containers ready to go - which is new to me. I've never seen that before. I ordered 2, we didn't order anything else. Idk if I had a bad batch or what but my kids & I thought it was ehh. It was .. okay I guess? But it wasn't the best we've had. Probably an unpopular opinion because all the reviews I see state it's the best they've had and i just didn't taste that. We didn't even finish it. The worker the second time I went wasn't the friendliest either. Parking is great since it's part of a big shopping center. There's tables & chairs outside as well where you can eat, which is where my kids & I ate. Tables are shaded so that's good.

I also loved that they have healthy açaí bowls available in the same building, which is a nice bonus if you're in the mood for dessert afterward. For my first visit, I ordered the Garlic Noodles with Bulgogi Short Rib Steak, and it definitely did not disappoint. The garlic noodles were flavorful, and the bulgogi short rib steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. The dish comes with two sauces, and they really elevate the meal. The cilantro-lime green sauce has a nice kick to it, but it pairs incredibly well with both the garlic noodles and the steak. The sweet and savory brown sauce was equally delicious and added another layer of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making my first visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself has a clean, cozy ambiance that makes you want to sit back and enjoy your meal. Overall, I'd give the food a 10/10. The quality, flavors, and portion size made for an excellent dining experience. While the menu is a bit of a splurge, the freshness and taste make it a place I'd happily come back to when I'm craving a flavorful Vietnamese-inspired meal. I'm already looking forward to trying more items on the menu!

We ordered the xiao long bao, broccoli beef, beef rolls, and chicken chow mein. The xiao long bao was excellent with a good amount of soup in each dumpling, and the beef rolls were probably my favorite item, especially dipped in a mix of black vinegar and soy sauce. The broccoli beef had a nice flavor, though I wished it had a little more meat. The chicken chow mein was the weakest dish for me: the noodle texture was great, but the overall flavor didn't stand out as much as I expected. Ordering was easy and the menu was very approachable thanks to the pictures. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which actually made it easier to get a server's attention when needed. Food also came out pretty quickly. The ambiance is straightforward and comfortable -- nothing fancy, just a solid neighborhood restaurant. Because it's small, you may have to wait if it gets busy, but tables seemed to turn over quickly thanks to the fast service. One practical tip: the portion sizes are bigger than they look. Beef Chow Fun: The seasoning was super flavorful, and the glossy, but non-greasy sautéed thick rice noodles had a perfect texture. The beef pieces were tender, and the portion of bean sprouts was just right without overcrowding the dish. Wonton Soup Noodle: The thin noodles were perfectly al dente. The inside is nice and spacious, a little dimly lit and clean. The worker was very friendly and service was quick. We asked for his recommendation and he suggested we try any of the yukgaejang. He brought out two sets of banchan - fish cakes which were firmer and more seasoned with sesame oil than some other place which was pleasant, a nice sweet fresh kimchi, and some chive kimchi, as well as the condiments for our dishes. To split, we got the small bossam, the rice cake and dumpling soup, the mul naengmyeon, and the yukgaejang with fresh pasta. Everything was super flavorful, large enough to split between the 5 of us, and delicious. The standouts are definitely the yukgaejang - the fresh pasta may sound weird but is a nice chewy thick noodle and the broth is rich and flavorful with just a bit of spice - and the bossam - at a lot of places the small bossam is still huge, and this was a good size so that we still had room for other dishes, and the meat itself was more flavorful, tender and nice and warm on the steamer that it came out on! The rice cake and dumpling soup and the mul naengmyeon were also solid. I'll definitely be back at Yuk Dae Jang for a warm comforting bowl of yukgaejang and bossam with friends :) Bonus, you don't have to go to ktown!
