So I've been raving about this place for 4 years since I first tried it. I have been trying to get back here but their hours are not conducive for me. Finally drug my friend and my son down here last Friday. It was well worth it. I'm still raving about this place. My son got a little annoyed with me asking for more chili oil but he's a millennial what does he know. Good thing for me both my hostages agreed that this was worth the travel. This place is so good, I'm writing the review as I still sit here in awe of how good it is. I am shocked I have not been here sooner. I'm Cambodian and I know or I thought I knew of all the Cambodian spots near me. The owner told me they've been here for 6 years now. I have only been to all the spots in Long Beach, Cerritos, and Garden Grove has one I believe. This literally tops almost all the other spots I have had. Their menu is small and we tried only a few items but everything was sooooo good. My friend and I both tried the spicy beef noodle bc they were out of the spicy rib/beef noodle. The owner ended up bringing us some rib meat that fell off the bone to try and It was soooo tender and amazing. Super flavorful! If you love spicy and I'm going to warn you now, it is spicy, you'll love their spicy dishes. We tried the spicy wontons too. FIRE seriously.. can't wait to try the other dishes. I just ordered the number five and the broth is so rich. No complaints. Family owned restaurant, the little dude at the register is quick lol The service is fast. They are super fast and very very tasty and has modest prices for the portions you get! Honestly this place is the best to go to when it comes to that broth packed with flavors, damn it's so good. I don't have a photo cause I keep eating all my food lol I remember my first bite, the noodles were warm, which was a surprise but a welcome one of course. So like soft and chewy and the broth! Easily my favorite part about jury duty. It's a 5 minute walk from the courthouse and the food is awesome!! I had a #1 dry both times and thought it was delicious. The broth on the side was very tasty. The service was great! The place is family owned so don't be surprised if you see a little kid greeting you. i visited Phat Noodle while on lunch from jury duty, it's a tiny place at the shopping center which is fine ! I placed my order for dine in, there wasn't much of a selection of tables. I choice a table large enough for me being 6'3" and need some table space to take care of some work while I'm on jury duty. As they brought my order out, they directed my to chose a smaller table because I was the only one eating. I tried to explain my situation that I need the extra space, but still wanted me to move. I went to this new Cambodian place that is family owned. They are coming up on their year mark this month and they already have regulars. Lunch can be busy but the service is fast. We were served by one of the owners for lunch, she works here and bar tends on the weekends. She was very friendly and knew her regulars names and orders. There are very few Cambodian restaurants around and the firemen like the place. Parking: This located in a mini mall with lots of free parking. It is located a block away from the courthouse and Compton city hall. Ambience: They are not fancy, nor modern. The chairs are fine and the tables are good condition. Nothing special or unusual. Service: We have had good service, fast and efficient. Food: Flavorful ingredients! I ordered my noodles dry and liked adding in my own broth. The crispy scallions are so tasty. I made my own hot sauce of chili paste and hoisin sauce to add and it tasted great!! Their menu is small but they are so new, they are discussing what to add to their menu. Mostly noodles and boba Thai iced teas along with sodas. Monday thru Friday they have fried rice. I like this place and appreciate an alternative to fast food. I would recommend it. read more

This place is the best food experience I've had in a long time and that's saying a lot because I travel all over the country and search for unique great food. I am a PHO lover and was searching, came across this place and was pleasantly surprised to learn from the owner that it was Cambodian style PHO and it was phenomenal!!! I was blown away and the owners were awesome. They gave me a side of tendon. Oh and don't get me started on their shirts for sale. Have to buy one. Typically, I enjoy their food but I went in Friday and some of the employees were rude. Then the food came I I thought to myself no matter this is the real reason why I come here and lo and behold I found2 strands of hair in my food not one but two. I tried to discreetly bring it up to the worker and for some reason the worker coped and attitude with me like if it was my fault there was hair in my food. I'm bald. Long story short I will not ever be going back there they can keep their hairy food to themselves. read more

Today I was free and was headed there, when I called it was around 4 and they close at 5 and they said they were closing in 10 minutes because they ran out of soup and only had a little bit left so unless I was there in 10 minutes I wouldn't be able to place an order. I said I was around 15-20 minutes away and got transferred to an older man who said that they wouldn't make it for me if I couldn't be there in 10 minutes then hung up on me. I'm a Compton native and I've been eyeing this place for a while now I was a bit hesitant because not everyone has good pho but the reviews made me want to try. I went for the vegan option which the noodles are dry but seasoned to perfection . Way better the Panda Express. Love how helpful they were to explain the menu and the difference between the noodles with broth and those that come dry . The vegan noodles were perfectly cooked and seasoned like I was truly impressed ! OMG soooo delicious! Cambodian food is sooo underrated, probably because Vietnamese food kinda overshadows them a bit with their similar pho dish. But let me tell y'all! The Cambodian Pho (Kuytiew--I think that's how you pronounce and spell it) is like 10x better than Vietnamese pho! My husband is Vietnamese and loves his pho and even he agrees that Kuytiew is better! It's our first time trying it and at such an authentic Cambodian mom and pop shop and it's soooooo delicious, so much more flavor than pho, better toppings than pho, and they even make their chili oil in-house! They do spicy and non spicy for any Kuytiew dish. Excellent customer service, super friendly and make you feel at home and like family. The chicken in the Kuytiew my sons shared (1 yr old & 5 yr old) was a great portion for them and the chicken is so much more well prepared than Vietnamese pho. In Kuytiew, it's nice slivers and tasty. In pho, it is sooooo dry and honestly pretty inedible. It is located in Compton but seriously, calling out Carson heads, Long Beach heads, Torrance heads, Cerritos heads, etc...trust, the food, the service and even the ambiance is worth it and it's right across the police station and courthouse for reference. read more
