When I was in dire need of my hormone, weight loss medicine and creams or they order things I want, I found the staff at Pharmacy90210 and Dr. Sean to be the best! I get my prediabetes medicine and my boyfriend gets cholesterol and ED meds. The staff here go out of their way to help with finding the right durable equipment I needed here and supplies I need, and when my insurance didn't pay, it was reasonably priced anyway! This is the most unprofessional pharmacy known to man kind. An anti-depressant medication was supposed to be picked up today, they close early and do not tell you, really? And now, they are closed all weekend, because they are NEVER open on the weekends. There is zero sense of urgency for their clients. Their lack of communication is stunning. And the man who works there is a condescending fool. that said here are facts and being a person of few words they will see Monday exactly what my lawyers have been doing to ma sure their license is revoked immediately. my psychiatrist sent in two prescriptions, one week of Valium and one week of adderall. with a straight face they told me they were "doing me a favor" by only charging me $300 out of pocket for both. they said oh it's not generic so it's not covered by insurance. First of all, the female pharmacist was rude as hell over the phone and basically hung up on me because she was too busy to answer my question as she "had at least 5 people standing in front of her at the time." Then I showed up and she claimed that they don't take my insurance, which is CIGNA and that a prescription I normally pay zero dollars for will be $146. Next she claimed she could get me a better price, called someone on the phone and came back with the same price. I prefer to give my business to private pharmacies instead of chain pharmacies but I have to say, at least chain pharmacies are held accountable to a greater standard of customer service. Even 1 star is too much for this pharmacy. Absolutely the worst service you can think of. They are consistent in being very rude, you can never get a hold of them by phone and as soon as you walk in you feel the bad energy. All of this clearly comes from that male GM/owner, he has such an arrogant attitude and that clearly rubs of on everybody else that works under him. I don't understand how they are even allowed to operate this type of a business. Wish there was some kind of inspector or organization that could be able to strip them from their license and shut them down. When you're in the business of dealing with people that are sick and vulnerable you should be extra polite patience and friendly, not aggressive angry and arrogant. If you're sick pls don't go here unless you want them to make you feel worse.... On the way out somebody approached me and said he also had the worst experience with them and there are other pharmacies in the area that he goes to now. I can't say enough good things about this place. I had major surgery and the doctor had sent all my prescriptions through this pharmacy. We got off to a rough start but at their core they care deeply about their patients. They were extremely sympathetic regarding my medical issues and Shawn (the manager) explained to me their process with the medications I was being prescribed and how they don't generally keep them on hand but they specifically went out of their way to get me all my prescriptions. They even kept some on hand so I would never go without medication for when the doctor wrote another prescription. I 100% would recommend coming to this pharmacy. Heed the reviews! They are awful. I started with a new doctor who sent my prescription to Pharmacy 90210 for a compounded medication. I have used another compounding Pharmacy in the past (LA Compounding), but thought I would give them a try. I picked up a 30 day supply of the medication, and was a bit surprised by the price ($375), but as it is a new medication I thought that must be why. I can submit to my insurance and get half covered, so I thought it would be OK. It took me several calls and email to get them to send over the information necessary to submit, but the pricing info was absent, even after I asked several times and sent over the form from my insurance. Fast forward to my next Dr. visit, when I asked why that particular medication was so expensive. He said "that seems unusually high." I had the same prescription sent to LA Compounding, who charged $135 for the same 30 day prescription, and validated that the $375 seemed really out of the ball park. They also said that their pricing was on par with the market. I called 90210 and asked to speak to a pharmacist - I thought perhaps they made a mistake. Nope. The pharmacist was rude, condescending, raising his voice and talking over me when I tried to say anything in reponse. I finally hung up. The gist of what he said that that is their price, and other pharmacies can charge what ever they want, which I suppose is true. They seem very disorganized and their prices are crazy. But the response of pharmacist was disrespectful, unprofessional and felt assaultive. Stay away. i've been going here for 5ish years. i was born and raised in LA but moved 2 hours away a year ago. i come to LA once a month to visit my dad in a nursing home, go to the doc and get my meds, so i could keep the same providers and see my dad. i've never had any issues until today. suddenly they won't ship meds anymore. so if they don't have my meds, i have to come back. so i called my meds in 3 days early, and this was 2 days after my refill date. so my pickup day was 5 days after my refill date bc i had family in town and didn't want to leave for an entire day until they left. i arrive and they only hVe a partial. i was upset bc it was friday and this was called in on wednesday morning. why wasn't it ordered? monday was my refill date. this meant i would have to take an extra day off work and do a 4+ hour drive another day this month, losing $500 from not working, so yes i was upset especially since it should have been ordered wednesday. so i was told friday by a very nice Asian pharmacist that works there that i could come get the rest Monday when it was in. i call on WEDNESDAY to see if it's ready and holy crap.... i am met with the most hostile pharmacist, the male owner, who tells me i cannot get my meds until exactly day 15, (one med i was only given a 10 day supply of and it's a med you cannot stop, i'd end up in the ER). so yes, i was argumentative as i only had a 10 day supply of one med and he was holding it hostage until day 15 because he deemed me a drug seeker (who picks up their prescriptions 5 days late last month? yeah ok, that sure seems like a drug seeker to me!!!) from being upset literally all of their policies changed overnight and he also told me the asian pharmacist wasn't there and didn't speak to me.... she literally was the one who went through the delivery boxes for me, and told me it wasn't in, and to come back monday. he blatantly lied multiple times. you cannot give someone a 10 day supply of a med and hold it until day 15 because your a baby and annoyed. how immature can you be. anyway prescriptions transferred for good. i'd rather deal with cvs than this guy. hope his power trip made him feel like a big man! read more

BEWARE- Other Yelpers have had similar fraudulent experiences. This was a nightmare experience for a potential new customer. I don't often have prescriptions filled but after a recent visit to my doctor was prescribed a new medication. This pharmacy is near my home and near the doctors office so I asked to have the RX filled here. My doctors called it in on Wednesday the pharmacy called me to get my insurance information and let me know they'd contact me as soon as it was ready. I didn't hear from them Wednesday, nor Thursday on Friday I called around 1 pm and got their voicemail which says something to the effect of "don't leave a message". I called back and did get a human!.. Who put me on hold for 5 ish minutes and then when they got back on the line hung up on me. I thought, "that couldn't be on purpose". I waited for a called back since they knew all of my information and when they didn't call me back, I called the pharmacy annnnd got voicemail. I called my doctor to get the RX filled elsewhere because for heavens sakes it shouldn't take 3 days to get medicine. My doctor's office called Pharmacy90210 who told them that the RX wasn't covered by my insurance and they had called me to tell me the price. SPOILER ALERT - they never called me to tell me any price AND my insurance does cover the medication. Please double check if they ask you to pay out of pocket as other reviewers have unfortunately had the same issue. Luckily my medication isn't life or death because now I'll have to wait until Monday to try to get a prescription filled at any other pharmacy! read more

I then called my agent and they told me the number I have is correct... so I said something to them and they tell me well we have the wrong group number... They thought they I would just pay the cash price instead of them saying, that they had the wrong group number... next I was there for over 45 mins and they told me I have to wait longer bc they have to do it all over again and it would be another 20 mins... I told him I don't have that time... he's like well you won't be saving much with insurance anyway, just only like $50 bc we already discounted the meds and your insurance won't cover it... I thought wait I already know they do bc I get these all the time... told him I have to leave and will be back... then he's like no no, I have it all ready for you... I just left. I went to CVS and had the whole thing filled for... wait for it.... $105 dollars... yup you read that correctly $105... plus my insurance red flagged something bc of the quantity and CVS asked if they can change the amount dispensed bc it won't be approved.. told them absolutely otherwise it would have cost $90 for 11 extra pills (oh and this med at CVS cost $5)this pharmacy didn't care they wanted to charge me the cash price and not think ok insurance flagged this quantity, let me lessen it bc they are saying it is not safe to have that many without developing a problem or other issues... stay away from this pharmacy just go to CVS for your safety as well as your pocket! read more

I live in DWTN L.A. but all my docs are in BH. I just started going to this pharmacy after my surgery and it's better than any I've been to. My doc prescribes a certain medication that's super hard to find not to mention all other pharmacies especially CVS give me a hard time filling it that's if they even have it plus the staff is rude & ask too many questions on why I'm taking it which is really none of their business but pharmacy 90210 is great they work with you. Horrible customer service. I called in a refill on a Monday night. Went in on Friday to pick it up. I was told by the pharmacist that they didn't have my refill request. WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, they charged me a $45 "Rush" fee. When I called to talk to the owner and explain that that was uncalled for as it wasn't my mistake, and I didn't even ask for it to be rushed, he couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone and talk to me. My God... I can't believe my credible and respectable Dr would refer his patients here. My very first phone call ever to check on my prescription that was said to be called in as it's been almost 2 weeks I was seriously hung up on multiple times for no reason on multiple days by what sounds like the same woman. While in the middle of saying my name she would hang up or put me on hold and never come come back. I call back they pick up and hang up without saying anything. I send email no response. They seriously have some issues that has nothing to do with their customers. There is no way they can be running a respectable business like this and expect customers to accept this. What horrid service! I waited at least 15 min inside this pharmacy then had a pharmacist come out to ask if she could help me. I told her what I needed as a compound product. She said she needed a RX and as I started to answer that I would have my dr fax a RX, her phone rang, which sent her scurrying away. She didn't come back and I decided to get a card as it seemed phone calls received more attention. Plus I had another appt. I called about 20 minutes later. I waited 32 min. 4 different people then answered and asked if they could help me. I answered all 4 people with the same answers. Finally a female person asked me what I needed. I told her and asked what it might cost. She told me the pharmacist who knew prices would be in tomorrow. I asked for a return call. As I was giving my name this person asked why I had such an attitude! I told her I had been waiting 30 minutes and different people were asking me the same questions and leaving me to wait again. She had the rude attitude to tell me she couldn't compound my drug if I had such an attitude! If 4 different people did waste their and my time being so inadequate, maybe customers wouldn't have to wait so long! This person then hung up on me! No wonder your ratings are not any higher. Your company, and I am speaking as a business owner, has a poor attitude in the inefficient and rude employees you have! The female who told me she couldn't compound my product couldn't do it anyway because she is a pharm tech at most and more likely a retail salesperson. I desperately needed to pick up a specific prescription for a procedure being done nearby this pharmacy. It was filled here and I have PPO Rx insurance and was told that it was not covered when they didn't even run my insurance! Initially I was told to pay the full cost for a little tiny bottle $303 and some change. I told them there was no way I was going to be paying that astronomical price. Somehow, miraculously in an instant the price reduced by over 80%. WHAT A MIRACLE!!! Yet, I'm sure if I had this filled at another other pharmacy it would cost me $10! I needed it urgently at the moment so ended up scammed to pay $55 out of pocket. Then when I asked for the validation to the parking I was told they ran out of stickers and was forced to pay full price (even though I showed them the receipt from the pharmacy!) for parking in addition to all this. This place sucks, the pharmacist (and apparently business owner) Sean, treated me with utter disrespect. First, I let him know well in advance of presenting my prescription how many of what kind of meds I would need and the frequency of my needs. I also explained that I live 10 miles away and only come into Beverly Hills to visit my doctor. He knew exactly what my needs would be and the timing and yet he repeatedly failed to fully complete my prescriptions when presented. He has a surly, superior attitude with total disregard for his customers' needs. I learned my lesson and now use Super Care Pharmacy on Canon or The Prescription Center just across the street on Wilshire. With so many better pharmacies in the area I see no reason to patronize this one. UPDATE: 9/21/15: Sean has responded to my review with a "comment." Of course, I have not returned to his pharmacy since I had so many consistently bad experiences there, why would I give him another opportunity to cause more problems for me? A pharmacist ideally should be a trustworthy, considerate and helpful part of a patient's healthcare team. Based on my experience Sean could not care less. A successful business is built by providing consistently good service, one customer (patient in this case), at a time. Please note how in Sean's comments he attempts to diminish the significance of my one star review by stating "We have been successful in attracting and attaining almost 7,000 patients..." and "...we also understand that there has been and will be rare occasions where our service will not be satisfactory to a select few of our customers." My review and other one and two star reviews are only the tip of the iceberg, with such a surly and condescending attitude toward me I cannot believe that his attitude is not pervasive. His comments were not even specifically written to address my complaints as is evidenced by his statement: "We regret that our service was not satisfactory during your visit to our pharmacy..." I was very clear in my initial review that I had consistently bad service over several visits - not just one visit. And the only reason I went back was because of his proximity to my doctor's office and the difficulty in finding another pharmacy that stocked my Rx meds. I would now never visit this pharmacy again. It is only a very small percentage of dissatisfied customers that will take the time to post a review to warn others of potentially bad establishment. After being a slave to the pharmacy chains in this city (cvs, rite aid, Walgreens, etc) for the past decade, I felt compelled to rush to my computer and write this stellar review for pharmacy90210 right after my experience with them. I am blown away by the service and prices. I take medical grade probiotics that aren't covered by insurance. Pharmacy90210 beat the above named pharmacies' price margins by 20%. The best part of all though was how I didn't even have to leave my house. All I did was email my prescription. I was told the medication would be delivered next business day, but it ended up being delivered less than 2 hours later by a friendly uniformed gentleman . They even included an icepack in the bag to keep the drug cool as it needs to be refrigerated. Does service get any better than that? Job well done. I would give 10 stars if I could! read more

Warning! Fraudulent, Unethical The pharmacy takes advantage of customers by claiming their insurance is not accepted or that prescription medications are not covered by any insurance and that must be purchased in cash. We have a Cigna PPO plan and they wanted to charge us $160+ for what we got for only $38 at Walgreens. Example: we had a prescription for one pill for which my copay ended up to be $10. They claimed it was not covered by any insurance (not just mine rather by any insurance) and wanted me to pay $100. Later I found out that another patient used their pharmacy and ended up paying them in cash! I took my prescriptions to Walgreens and filled all 6 prescription including the expensive pill for a total of $38. Later, I called them on a different day and asked if they accept Cigna and the answer was yes. I suspect they take advantage of plastic surgery patients thinking the patient is already paying a lot of money for their elective surgery, let's milk them for a little more on prescriptions. If you are an out of town patience, which we were, we literally had no time or choice but filling our prescription at the nearest pharmacy. read more
