No nonsense no attitude. They will help you get meds fast and very nice people. Highly recommend . And they deliver. The best most professional pharmacy ive seen in years. read more

The price-gauging is absolutely disgusting! My dog's latanoprost ran out, so my vet called in and they wanted to charge $138 for a single bottle. Mind you, latanoprost is a very cheap medication (average ~$8). I'm not sure if these are their regular prices, or if they raised prices to take advantage of the fact that medication ran out, but this is evil! Fortunately, I found another pharmacy locally who only charged $20 for the bottle and expedited the pick-up process. Be aware -- please compare what they're charging you with market prices. If you have insurance, you might also end up paying far more than necessary due to their profiteering. I'm especially concerned about older people who may not be aware of market prices or know how to compare prices online. People who seek to excessively capitalize on healthcare should not be in this field to begin with. This profit-driven mindset is a major reason America's healthcare system is in the state it is today. read more

They are wonderful! Their delivery service is a lifesaver! Charmaine is very kind and has always helped me with insurance challenges.

I have been coming here for years and they have always been very friendly and professional. I have gotten other prescriptions from Costco and CVS but I feel that United is far superior when it comes to their value and customer service. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute best pharmacy I have ever used. They are always available and prompt. Unlike most chain pharmacies, you never have to wait in line for one hour to talk to someone or receive your medications. The staff are extremely kind and polite, and always ready to help and answer all your questions. I have been extremely happy with this pharmacy and I have referred many friends who all have had the same pleasant experience. read more

WARNING: DO NOT GO TO UNITED PHARMACY, UNLESS YOU ENJOY ANGRY, RUDE STAFF & POOR SERVICE. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in this business. My Fiance is currently not feeling well at all, she sent in her prescription here and the a**hole who keeps answering the phone is being short, rude, hangs up and is essentially the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld but as a pharmacist. He picks up and says "what's your question, hurry up, not ready bye", not even giving her a chance to talk. 5 time over. This is not ok, you are dealing with people's health. I think this business should be shut down, the owners should have to pay for the disservice they are giving our commmunity. I can't imagine how many sick, old people have been mistreated. I will make sure to go on every review website available to warn people to stay away from this business. And to the jerk on the phone who was rude to my Fiance, you suck at your job, please change industries. read more

This used to be a great pharmacy, but something has changed. They now charge $25 for prescriptions, even when the medication is covered under insurance and is much much cheaper. They ripped off my 81-year-old mother, charging her $25 each for three prescriptions that are under $10 total under her insurance. They also tried to do this to me, insisting my prescription was $25 when it was under $3. When I showed them how much our insurance said it should be (and I've been taking this medication for years), they would not budge on the price. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to charge more than insurance allows. I don't know why this pharmacy has become so crooked, but it needs to be seriously investigated. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and whomever else handles crimes like this. read more

Great place! They're very helpful. They also deliver which makes it very convenient. Ask for Fred, he's always available to help.

Fantastic and friendly people. Excellent and Fast service. Small pharmacy. I am very happy I found them.

The people who work here have always been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They have gone above and beyond in customer service.

United Pharmacy = The finest pharmacy in Los Angeles, CA. Pharmacist Fred and his superb team, Charmayne and Cynthia, provide excellent service, support and care. It has been a pleasure going to this A+ pharmacy since Spring 2009. -- I highly recommend United Pharmacy. Five Stars. -- Neil Kirk read more

UNBELIEVABLY RUDE! I called to ask if my prescription was in yet (after waiting a very long time--days!) and the man just said no and HUNG UP ON ME! I am NEVER going there again. Don't waste your money unless you like rude manners. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would! (This is not the first time I have been hung up on)! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE . They sent out my medicine on a hot day & never called me to make sure I was home which they did in the past. I told Fred the medicine was in 82 degree weather and he said just use it. I asked him to send me a new one & he refused. My medicine costs 900 a month. All he cares about is getting paid, he doesn't care about the patient. Shame on you Fred. read more

Do not recommend. I was charged for 4 medications I did not accept and never had in my possession, my card was on file with them. They are the most unhelpful for returning the $60 worth of co-pays to my account. I've had to dispute the charges with my bank. It's unnecessary and unprofessional. read more

United Pharmacy has been my choice of pharmacy for over 12 years. They are highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable, and they make sure to make things right. As some reviews have mentioned, they can get swamped, but that's because they're an excellent pharmacy. Sometimes they don't have as much time to have a conversation, but they offer a wave and a smile, and I have always walked out knowing my order is as it should be. Most of my transactions have been with Fred, or Charmaine, who are super intelligent, kind, caring, professional, and personable. Cynthia has also helped me, and the same goes for her. Even though I moved out of their immediate area over a year ago, I have kept my business with them. I enjoy driving back to see everyone when I can, and when I can't make the drive, they have a couple of great guys who provide a very professional and reliable delivery service. I highly recommend United Pharmacy. read more

BEWARE - extremely racist. zero customer service. so disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. they would not write my prescription because she didn't directly have a relationship with my doctor? what type of pharmacy or individual with any remote knowledge in pharmaceuticals would exercise that? i never write reviews but this place is an actual joke. furthermore, their neglect with denying basic health care needs unless they know the doctor on a personal level - leads me to believe they are involved indefinitely in suspicious activity. read more

Truly an embarrassment of a pharmacy. Disrespectful staff to my mom and I. The rude woman at the front desk took 10 minutes to acknowlede my mom standing there with a walker. The pathetic man who glanced at the prescription didnt even bother looking towards us and the same woman at the front couldn't give a solid answer to what other pharmacies are nearby and laughed when I asked her the reason she didnt know why they don't carry this medication. This is why such businesses fail because of your non-existent customer service and disgraceful worth ethic. Good riddance. read more

We originally used United Pharmacy, as we needed a compounding pharmacy to make LDN (low-dose naltrexone) and ketamine to treat my wife's CRPS. The pharmacy itself is a rather depressed looking environment, but that's fine, we aren't there to hangout. However, individuals working at the pharmacy have quite less than a charming bedside manner, to say the least. There is always a wait and scowl on tap - which is not great for dealing with sick people. The issues come into play when talking product and price! United claimed to be unable to make the LDN Rx in pill/capsule form, only in liquid form. So in spite of the lousy taste in liquid form, we took what they said they could make. But the straw that broke the camel's back is the exorbitant price structure of their LDN price - with or without insurance! United Pharmacy claimed they were giving us a "deal" at $210 WITHOUT insurance and $70 with insurance. If you do your research like we did , you will find that the average price nationally for a one-month's supply of 4.5mg LDN (30 capsules) is approximately $38. Which is WAY beyond United Pharmacy's rates. We have been beyond ripped-off! We have found a more pleasant, accommodating, and price friendly compounding pharmacy closer to our house. Precise Compounding Pharmacy on Washington Blvd in Culver City has quoted us a LDN price of $65 WITHOUT insurance and $42 with! It pays to do your research and not just accept what you are given! Do your comparative shopping, you might find you too have been getting overcharged! We will no longer be filling our Rx's at United! read more

United Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

The attitude that the workers have towards their customers is horrible. I don't understand how they think it's ok to treat others so disrespectfully. Anyway it's over priced and they have messed up on my orders, resulting in being overcharged on more than one occasion. Pay attention to your copays and amounts they are charging. Check and double check. Best of luck read more

Best service you could ever ask for from a pharmacy. Never going to a CVS, rite aid, or Walgreens again.

I went in and tried to fill my script for norco after my hernia surgery. The second they looked at me they said they were out. My first year with this pharmacy was horrible! They had no customer service, they would hang in up your face and you'd ask for a manager or owner, and they would hang up in your face!! I couldn't believe how absolutely horrible it was and they were still in business! However, for the past year! This has been a 180 change! Not sure what happened. Not sure if a "real" owner stepped in or what. But they are pleasant, thorough, timely, and it is an absolute pleasure doing business with them! I have never personally witnessed a business do such an amazing change and so fast. But I recommend them! I will continue giving them my regular business. And everyone I deal with seems to be the same way ... pleasant, accommodating, and with great customer service. Good thing I didn't have a Yelp account back when I first started doing business with them. (Smile) It would not have been good. My doctors office tells me that the owner is extremely nice. I've never dealt with him personally but I'm sure he is the one setting the tone for the entire establishment. So, if you haven't dealt with them in awhile. Give them another try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!!! :) read more

Warning this place is a rip off!! Walgreens charged me $61 for my medication and they charged $109 the receipt said it was $61 but he added a $48 fee. When I nicely asked him why it was expensive he jumped to being rude and yelled "go over there!" Very unhappy customer. read more

This is the only pharmacy in Southern California which will fill my moms Parkinson's medications without a hassle. This goes without explanation of how important this is and how grateful I am. I wish I could clone this pharmacy and place it near Long Beach. My doctor prescribes one particular medication that is not covered by my insurance, is prohibitively expensive and extremely difficult to find. Nobody stocks it and wait times are 2-3 weeks at big-box pharmacies. Not only does United stock this medication, they bend over backwards helping to get the cost down. The staff has always treated me with courtesy and acted with professionalism. Sure, it takes me two-hours, round-trip to drive up there and back, but I spent that much time driving to local pharmacies who didn't have my medication in stock and for the most part, were unwilling to order it. read more

This is the best little Pharmacy on the Westside. Fred the Pharmacist loves having people come in to fill their prescriptions when you see how he goes the extra mile in his care and consideration of the patients need . I have been a patient of United Pharmacy for over 10 years. By far, THE BEST pharmacy I've found in Los Angeles for my needs. It is small which means I get very personalized care, and don't receive robocalls at all hours reminding of what I need refilled. They are always so gracious, warm and helpful. I see other reviews that claim Fred, the owner, is rude. That couldn't be further from the truth. He is so compassionate. He notices when I'm feeling better, or less better, and he cares so much. He's very knowledgeable about drug interactions, how something might affect sleep or other routines and gives me the information I need so I avoid side effects. He's given me referrals to really awesome doctors when I've asked. He even gave me the name of a great credit union to use when I bought my last car! Best of all, whatever I need, he always has it in stock, and they move very quickly to get my prescriptions filled. Are they a little bit far from where I live? Yes. But they are so worth the extra few minutes drive-time. Covid safe! Prices are competitive for a small pharmacy. If I could give 10 stars, I would! read more

Weirdest experience at this place I ever had as a courier. Arrived 11-12 minutes before closing, went to pick up something (because they called my company), when I get there the guy looks at me through the glass, signals to open the door, I try, it's locked. I tell him it's locked, guy ignores me for flat out 2 minutes. Call my company, company calls inside, dude tells them to tell me it's unlocked... Um... What? I'm outside for 6-7 minutes calling my company, talking to them, and the guy never makes eye contact or looks my way again. Woah. I mean some people treat courier's bad but this was just strange! They even send a second guy to come test the door, ya know to make sure I'm not an idiot, but hollllllllllly shit. Was this dude working here high on some pills from the back or something? The hell kind of Pharmacy is this? I feel sorry for whoever placed that order that night because someone didn't get their delivery because some jack ass didn't want to get caught with a hooker in the back. Guy even calls my company and tells them never to send me again because I didn't know what I was doing, he tried to get me fired! I was in my last two weeks anyway, what a loser! Anyone who would deny customers their meds seriously has no business working in a Pharmacy, and it's a disgrace this place didn't put more effort into screening their employees because obviously whoever is closing up shop is behaving very suspeciously. It's sad when the courier halls ass across town to get to a place to pick up something and some jackoff could care less. Don't order from these guys, not if you want customer service to be put first, and especially not if it's a rush. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've EVER dealt with. The pharmacist Fred is rude and has no compassion. He will not try to help if you're in a bad situation, he doesn't even treat his customers like human beings. Their prices are ridiculous and the staff is incompetent and speak inexcusibly poor English. I would not even recommend this pharmacy to my worst enemy. THAT'S how poor the customer service is at this pharmacy. Stay away at all costs! read more

If you like being interrupted over and over and over, this is the place for you. Staff is rude, won't let you get a word in before interrupting you and have a cold attitude.
