I took my car in to have the a/c recharged first thing in the morning. I talked to an employee inside and told him what I wanted. Next thing I knew a greasy, filthy employee came from the back to get into my car. He had no mask or gloves on and his clothing was filthy. I asked if they were going to put plastic down on my seat before he got in and they said NO. I asked if someone else could drive my car into the bay and they said NO. Suddenly an Asian man came into the shop from the back and told me he was the owner. He asked me to leave and not come back for making "trouble." I told him that I didn't want to 1) get my car dirty from that employee or 2) get COVID-19 from his employees. I left and will never go back. read more

Inspection, new cabin filter, vacuuming behind the filter and windshield patch which they quickly processed with my insurance...under 30 minutes and the customer service could not have been better! I try to always give locally owned businesses a chance before heading to a bigger corporate type store... I took my truck in here several months ago for an oil change. My truck only accepts full synthetic oil which is fine i understand that it will cost more than conventional oil. My truck takes more than the standard amount, again fine I understand the price will be a bit more. After waiting for an extended amount of time I went to check out and pay for services only to be charged 107.00 for an oil change... Absolutely out of this world expensive. I have since been to several other retailers all who have charged me 30.00 less per oil change for the same quality of oil. I will never go back here again and I'm highly disappointed. Do not trust these scammers. Those workers are probably on commission and want that extra bonus for up charging a customer $60. I originally started going to this place because I felt Gus ( I believe that's his name ) was going to be an open honest person and the shop would be awesome. I do have to say that their service is fast but their prices for oil changes and "extras" are outrageous and probably $15 - $30 higher than Firestone or other places. I went in today and was charged an extra $10 on the oil change because my 2008 HHR uses a "special" oil filter. This has NEVER happened to me here or anywhere else and feel they were trying to rip me off. The fellow who checked me out said I paid the same thing the last oil change and I told him there was no way. So here I am at home and the oil change I got May 19 cost $40.95 and today's was $55.28 (both receipts in front of me ). Being I live in Pflugerville I truly wanted to stay local and support these guys but after today there's no way in Hades that's going to happen. I also noticed ( as did another reviewer ) that the paper form an inspection sticker they had torn off was still all over my dash and my floor mats had a little extra "DIRT" in them....But the whole thing is I don't appreciate getting screwed over and I believe these guys are now price gouging and tossing un necessary "extras" in your face as well. Example here is that I had them flush my brake fluid ( $45 or so ) 2 oil changes ago and on the last oil change they told me my brake fluid was dirty and needed flushing. I advised them that they had done it 3 months before and the guy just kind of mumbled and went back to my car...... I'm sorry for rambling but I truly have to advise folks to find a different oil change place and that's my 2 cents. Myself and the wife will never go back and that's a shame.... This place is called PF Lube now. I usually do my oil changes myself because I don't trust shops like this, but I just moved to the area and I didn't have a garage so I decided to try this place out. I got an oil change and I requested that they flush the anti-freeze. The oil change was expensive, but otherwise fine as far as I can tell. However upon checking the coolant after I left, I noticed that they did not flush the anti-freeze. Taking advantage of customers like this is unethical and I will not be returning. read more

Been here a couple times before for an oil change. The staff was always friendly, the price was better than most of the big chains of "quick lube" establishments and they always got me in and out fast without trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I really didn't need. This weekend my radiator blew out, I had no idea where to take my truck so I called these guys. I got a really fair price ( I researched it after), good work ( trucks running great), but most of all great service. Gus (the owner?) even gave me a ride home while they repaired my truck and came and picked me up when it was ready. I will definitely refer family and friends to have automotive maintenance done here! read more

They are honest which is so important, they don't try to over sell you on shit and make you feel like there is all this additional stuff you have to have. What a great crew over at Pfast Lube. Went in with a car needing an inspection and oil change. They had someone sitting there helping to check windshield issues, and had everything done in a matter of minutes. I hate getting my oil changed or anything like that because I feel they see a girl and start "adding" things that need to be done. With Gus' team I was told one thing needed to be replaced, by showing me exactly what was wrong with it, and what it's doing to my car. My oil was changed and I wasn't having to argue with them about which oil I wanted to use. Most other places tell me I have to use X and of course it's so much more! First off I can't say enough good things about these guys. I've been here in the past for oil changes and inspections but this was my first experience here getting a repair done on my car. After being treated horribly at Firestone, these guys came to my rescue. We determined that I had a bad alternator. After purchasing a new alternator they installed it for me quickly and efficiently. Not only was their work superb but they came in an hour before opening accommodate my previous appointments that I had already scheduled. A+ service from some wonderful guys. I took my wife's 2008 Q35 sedan here for a quick inspection, first place I saw with the Texas inspection station sign out front. I had barely pulled in before a kid who works there came up and offered to "de-glaze" the headlights, this was before they even knew why I was there. No thanks, I can use plastic polish every few months like I always have. I go into the office, there were like 4 guys kinda just standing around, told them I needed an inspection, handed them the keys and insurance. Some other kid got into the vehicle and peeled out into the parking lot. Um, it's a 3.5 liter V6, kinda quick, no need to floor it, punk. After the inspection, I go in to pay, the goober at the desk said it failed. "Why?" Well, the parking brake doesn't hold it. Bullsh*t, same car for 6 years passes no problem. I walked outside with some meth-head looking guy with rotten teeth, start the car, engage the parking brake & put it in gear. No movement. He said you have to put it under a load, I'm like, that's not a thing, any car will overpower the parking brake if you rev it hard enough. This Deliverance-looking meth mouth then offered to adjust the brake cable for $100. Are you f*cking kidding me? I was so pissed, they knew I had to pay whether I pass or not, what a scam! I went a few miles down the road, spent another $18 & it passed as usual. This place is just a hustle, bunch of kids learning to rip off regular people. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I decided to try out a small shop and boy did I pay for it. I went in for an inspection sticker and was given the (wiper blades, belt, parking brake, power steering fluid, etc..) I asked them to button it up and I would take it to my mechanic. Now to be fair, the parking brake did need to be tightened and one of the hoses to the power steering needed a new clamp. My mechanic checked over everything and I returned. I stated the belt and the wipers do not need replacing they have been inspected. Well that didn't seem to go over well with the larger guy - telling me he never said anything about the belt. To which I replied no you didn't but it's one of the reasons (piece of paper) you failed my truck. I said ...that does say belt doesn't it? He mumbled something and went over to his employees (who he does nothing but scream at). I walked inside and in no less than one minute one of them came over to tell me there is power steering fluid on the sway bar so they will not pass it but they could fix it. Mind you they did not look for a leak just ran their hand on the sway bar. It had not been cleaned but they wouldn't hear that. I asked if there was a leak they found. Rather than argue I said thanks and went over to my mechanics place. He was dumbfounded at their actions. His crew washed the power steering fluid from the truck and took it over there themselves. They got the sticker put on the truck but stated they really tried to find a leak at all costs. PFast is not the place you want to take your vehicle for an inspection or for anything else. They will find something for you to buy, up sell you at all costs. Stay away from this place and go elsewhere you will thank me. Horrible customer service, horrible management and just a terrible place all around. I will spread the word as much as I can to steer clear from this place. Terrible and Rude! I went in on 12/5/2016. When I rolled up they asked what I needed, I said an oil change to direct me in to the correct bay. Guy says "get out" (of my Van). I thought that was abrupt, but OK! I then go sit down like normal, but this time it took a while for someone (Voo was his name) to tell me my vehicle requires 0W- 20W which is pure synthetic so I said, forget it. I'll go somewhere else. To which Voo replied, "uh oh, we already dropped your oil" WHAT? You did What? Before asking me exactly what I was wanting? Let me speak with your manager! Voo, starts yelling Gus, Gus!! Gus comes in and just starts yelling doesn't ask me what's wrong just starts yelling...you need this and you need that, if they check the Carfax this will happen, if you go with the synthetic blend it may void your warranty...then I said Stop! You mean to tell me this is all because you think it has a warranty? Well it doesn't and just put the synthetic blend in. But first, why didn't you ask me what I wanted first before dropping the oil? Gus said because we ASSUMED and I stopped him right there and said... exactly you assumed! To which Voo (not sure about the spelling) says "JESUS CHRIST" and walks out to finish my oil change. Gus walked out too! I never heard I am sorry for the misunderstanding, never heard "Let's put the synthetic in and we can take $10-20 off because you have been a loyal customer for years. What I heard loud and clear was JESUS CHRIST and WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU OR YOUR VAN! Normally they vacuum the car out and send me off with a smile... this time they finished in less than 10 minutes and handed me my keys without the extra goodies. Nice to know the level of customer service is variable depending on if you get your way or not. Shame, shame shame... You'll never see any of my vehicles or any ones vehicles that I ever speak to. You lost a lifetime customer today that owns a car service business. read more

I moved to Austin three years ago, and pflube was the first oil change place that I went to in Austin, I met this nice but very professional man, he limps a little but very very good hearted and honest. I sooo much appreciated this man professionalism that I decided to be using them permanently. But today 6 took my son there for his oil change because my son who is 18 years old just bought a car. So I took him to Pflube so that he can do his oil change, I personally took him there to show you how much I like this place. But oh my goodness I regretted it. I met this older man so cold, so mean, so inhumane or can . This man overcharged me, was non challant so wicked, when I insisted to know why am been over charged, he told me carelessly that the car has a special oil filter, and also that he charged me for dumping the oil blablabla am soooooo turned off by his attitude and I was so disappointed because I told my son that they nice people but what he met is the opposite. Even one of the staffs told him not to change that he does not need to charge me the extra but he said, " well I have charged the card already" Please make sure that they tell you everything before getting your oil changed to avoid extra charges that you did not bargain for. I will look for another place to go for oil change. read more

My new truck leaked oil after chang. They failed to disclose a sub contractor. The sub contracter double billed me. Manager refused to refund my $57 for the bad oil change. I sued them and won. The judge even gave me more than i asked. If I don't get my $358 by monday I will file a writ of garneshment and liens on the business owner. read more

Very pleased with them. Told me I had a leak on a seal and they told me to take it back to the previous shop, that it should still be under warranty. They could have tried to get me to pay for it but instead they saved me some money.. I will be going back. read more

I had my oil changed here about 2 months ago. I noticed that towards the end of this oil change time period (I got the standard 5W30) my car was starting to make funny noises. I planned to take my car to the shop and when I called and described the issue to my mechanic he asked if there was oil in it. I thought of course, I had the oil changed about 3000 miles ago so yes. I took my car to another oil change shop today. Without me mentioning any issue they immediately came in and told me I had no oil in my oil tank. I had them check for leaks, there are none. Not only did Pfast Lube overcharge me for a standard oil change, they didn't even put enough oil (if any) back in my car!! Also they "changed my cabin air filter" but I checked it myself today before going to the shop. It was never changed. They screwed me there too. I can't believe this place has good reviews. They're either total crooks or completely negligent. Either way, this is atrocious. My car could have been severely damaged and I could have been put in a very unsafe way out on the road. Needless to say they will never get my business again. I'll be reporting this place to the BBB and TCEQ. Unbelievable. read more
