First of all, I do the oil changes on my two cars myself. An oil change may be a simple thing, but if you get it wrong, it can grenade your motor. I always use synthetic oil and WIX oil filters. One or more yelpers have already mentioned they use 3rd world oil filters, which I just don't trust. If I'm going to get an oil change, I'll use a dealership and pay a little extra to get it done right. That's especially true if you have an expensive import car like a Lexus or BMW. So why am I here? I came here to get my inspection (normally I use Koenig lane inspections, but I was in this area) and at the first and end of the month you can expect to sit in a line at one of their three bays. However, it's also likely that car in front of you is going to get an oil change, which means you'll be waiting for that as well. Apparently, there is not one line for inspections and another for oil changes. With one car in front of me getting an oil change, my total wait time was over 20 minutes. Inside the office, you'll see a list of other services they offer along with free popcorn for waiting. There's a tip jar on the counter if you think they did a good job. I've been coming here for years to get my vehicle inspected for my yearly registration and occasionally for oil changes. The service here is fast and I never have any issues with my car after the service. The inspection is cheap (just under $20 and if your vehicle doesn't pass they give you 30 days?? I think? to return and get reinspected) This inspection, the man servicing my car had noticed my breaks could use a tune up and I didn't really understand the parts that they would be fixing. These guys are always so nice and break it down for me and one of them even showed me a diagram inside. They never pressure me into getting another service with them, just gently offer and I really appreciate it. read more

Pricing is reasonable and fair and the customer service always leaves me with a smile on my face! Took our truck in for an oil change. It started leaking oil so we took it back. After telling the person working there the problem, they placed blame on the oil filters because they "come from third world countries." So, I guess they knowingly install defective parts and when something goes wrong, they point the finger at "third world countries." Then he goes back, looks at it and said, oh it wasn't tight enough and then blamed the new technician. We went home and it's STILL LEAKING. We bought a new filter from O'Reilly to switch it out ourselves. When we took the one out that they had installed, it was the completely wrong filter. That's why it was leaking. It's pretty infuriating to bring something back so they can make it right only to be given excuses and still not fix a very basic problem. This isn't rocket science. We won't be back. Brought my bmw in for a new battery, due to lights blinking. They changed out the battery but while doing so, rolled down the front driver's side window. Found out it wasn't the battery, but a module that needed fixed. They weren't able to fix the module, no big deal, but the window wouldn't go back up. While they were trying to get the window back up, they scratched up my vehicle wrap and didn't tell me about it. I noticed it while hand washing it two days later. read more

Irresponsible, negligent and unsafe. They left a bottle of oil under the hood. The oil spilled over the engine, resulting in a horrible squeaking noise. They cleaned up the mess and tried to fix the noise by replacing an oil-clogged bearing in the process, breaking the engine cover and unsafely leaving it unsecured. They are now refusing to follow through on the repairs needed. They are irresponsible, negligent, and unsafe. Strongly NOT recommended. read more

Why lie about what you told me which was nothing. I took my car to get an oil change first thing in the morning 9/5/19. The only conversation I had with an employee was what type of oil I wanted. When my car was ready, I paid received receipt and left. Later that evening I noticed a huge oil spot on my driveway and I took video with pictures of oil leaking from my car. I called today to see if you guys will make it right. Now you are saying you told me and you noted in the receipt there was damage? Really you said nothing to me. And my car wasn't leaking when I brought it in. This is not making sense. You guys are supposed to be honest but I guess not to everyone. You messed my car up. I brought my car to the Pfast Lube in Pfluggerville, to get my alternator fixed. The mechanic worked on the car, then at the of the day in started to rain they handed me the keys and said it was good to go, The red battery light was still on, I later learned that the light meant my battery was being drained from the new alternator that the mechanic had just worked on! I brought the car back several times the next day. But the mechanic was too busy to assist me. This situation cost me both for the rotten job that was done and at least several hundred dollars from my door dash job! I am still out there with a car that shuts down every 20 miles due to the botched alternator job by Pfast Lube. Worried for my safety! If only the folks at Pfast had that same concern! My.daughter and I went to Pfast Lube to have our cars inspected. It was fast, courteous and then shared where to go to get the Texas tags. Recently went to Pfast Lube for an oil change. My car is newer, so I only get a change every 10k miles. I knew I wasn't quite to 10k but my car was telling me my oil was at 10%, so I was just going to get it done. Not long after arriving, one of the guys came into the waiting room and told me "hey you've still got 3000 miles to go before you need a change. you pay extra for that special extended filter, so you really want to get your money's worth". I was blown away by his honesty. I came in fully expecting to pay $100 bucks and I wasn't THAT far off miles wise. They could have easily just performed the oil change and charged me, but they didn't. This was just the latest in a string of good experiences since I moved the Pflugerville 3 years ago. This is a great place with great service. I have yet to come to them with a car issue they could not fix. They are dedicated! I had to bleed my brakes on my 68 stang and did not have the time. I took it to them and they found a couple leaks (that I would not have found) and had some other issues, but the were determined to get it done and they did. They also will top off you oil between changes if needed... that would be my other car. I'm definitely a committed customer. Update: times change and so does the management. *BEWARE OF SNAKES IN THE GRASS!* My mom took her car here for service and was approached by employees working for American Certified Auto Glass. They told her they could fix the cracks in her front windshield glass for free and failed to mention that they would be filing claims against her insurance. They also reported fixing three cracks when there was only one. Insurance fraud is a very serious offense and Pfast Lube should boot these guys from their business because you don't want to be considered a privy party to something as serious as insurance fraud. **LADIES AND SENIORS BEWARE! They are preying on you!*** We are in the process of filing disputes with our insurance company and reporting these guys to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and Attorney General's office. UPDATE: A representative from the company reached out to me and told me that the employee in question works for ACAG and is not an employee of Pfast Lube. I still stand by my comment that if you KNOW this dishonest practice is going on and you allow the employee to stay on your premises, you are equally as guilty [thru association ]so my rating remains un-changed. read more

Stopped in on Saturday after I saw a sign stating a Mobil 1 semi-synthetic oil change was $35. Was immediately approached by the manager who told me that he would give me the $35 oil change, but it would immediately void my vehicle engines warranty should there be a failure in the future. He also stated the oil was not Mobil 1. If I wanted a Mobil 1 full synthetic oil change, I would also need to purchase a synthetic oil filter. The total charge would be $85. He stated my oil change interval would then be 12000 miles, despite me stating the recommended manufacturer interval was 7500 miles. As soon as the manager walked away, I got into my car and left. Having been a mechanic, I find this kind of dishonest up-selling abhorrent. The sign in front of the shop is misleading, and the manager was disingenuous at best, but I believe he was being deliberately dishonest to make extra money. read more

I have to give this place 5 stars. I needed an oil change and it was close to home. The service is nothing like I have ever experienced before at an oil change place! They were fast and courteous. The only issue I had is there is an in-house rep from a windshield replacement company. All of a sudden I had a chip in my windshield that I never noticed and asked to see. I still didn't see it, but was convinced better safe than sorry. If I experience the same next time, I may have to choose somewhere else. read more

Gus and his crew are constantly surprising me with their honesty and their ability to keep my car running smooth. Justin Mayes, manger at Pfast Lube apologized for the miscommunication on the end of his employees and admitted he should have handled this differently. He told me he wanted to make things right and agreed to refund me this difference in the cheaper oil change and the one we were charged for. He also said if my daughter wanted to, she could come in and he would talk to her about simple car maintenance since she's going off to college. This my friends, is how things should be handled. I heard a rude ugly response and I automatically got defensive since I've never experienced that so we exchanged back and forth. The male worker called me a bitch and told me to get the fuck out of there. I was told he was the owner. I was shocked of the disrespect I received from the actual owner. I've never been treated so poorly like that. I didn't even want to give this place one star. When I called to verify if he was in fact the owner and was told he was and that she will have the manager call me back. What could the manager possibly say to me to make the situation better.
