We needed a new groomer for our mature (over 17 years' old) Cairn who has been used to having home grooming for some years. I was dreading the search...and Victoria has various grooming places, but they are heavily booked most without spaces. I found the perfect place. Booked an appointment. Dear Dog had a bout of bad health which meant she couldn't attend the pre-booked appointment. I just about gave them the right amount of cancellation notice. They were VERY patient with us and understanding. I re-booked a few weeks' later. She was looking pretty shaggy by then. But at least a lot healthier. Our groomer was the lovely Kaylyn. I knew, walking through the door, that this was a good place. Sweet pegs up behind check in with dogs' names being attended to and their leads. Some separate areas (at least one) for dogs older and less sociable. Ours was waiting there for us on pick up. It looked very clean, tidy and welcoming. We felt confident leaving Olive. Returning over 1.5 hours later. What a treat that was. We'd found our dog again! One of the best cuts I've seen for a very long time. She wasn't nervous or upset. It was easy to see that she was relieved to have a lot less hair and to be able to see better. Tail wagging operative! I've re-booked and we'll be back in 5 weeks. 100% recommended. Be patient about their getting back to you (ideally by text). They are a busy shop, but always get there, just may take a few days longer than you'd expect. Worth the wait imo.

The worst grooming shop with unknowledgeable groomers who need more education and training. The…read moregroomers at this salon SHAVED a mini Aussie, which is a double coated breed. I am the breeder of the dog in question and her new owner called me in distress, telling me that they had shaved her. Any groomer with the slightest bit of knowledge knows that a double coated breed is NEVER shave unless it's very old or has a medical issue, making it hard for the dog to stand for a groom without discomfort. This dogs coat is likely ruined for ever and she will have skin problems, as well as not be able to properly regulate her temperature in hot and cold weather. She may even go bald in some area's or all over. This is a very sad state of affairs for this poor dog and her new owner. DO NOT take your double coated dog to this shop.

She demanded a $50 deposit without any return possibilities AT ALL. DON'T GIVE HER MONEY; she takes it. : ( I had no intention of "quitting" her services, but I moved, and according to what she said, when you move, or change groomers, she refunds this $50! Not so, due to unforeseeable circumstances (family matter), I needed cash fast to help out someone here on the Sunshine Coast where I live now, and she REFUSES to refund me, although we were her customers for over 4 years or so. I can't believe that greed is the main operator here, over customer service, relationships, AND good reviews that she would otherwise have gotten. To this day, I haven't seen a penny back despite different text messages or emails to her. Bad service, hate to say, don't choose her.

Surprise, surprise, Greg P from Mr. Pets never acknowledged responsibility for his rude staff and hazardous shopping area that lead to my injury, pain and frustration, or offered any kind of help, empathy, or understanding. His suggestion to contact a lawyer myself was ridiculous, 3 different lawyers that I contacted told me that as well. Their legal opinions were all the same - the owner of Mr. PETS would likely make getting anything as difficult as possible. He never even gave me the information for his insurance company or any way to move forward. Due to the level of stress I was already experiencing trying to navigate life with one working arm and a toddler, I opted not to go that route. Since he refused to contact his insurance company himself as any decent business owner would do, or acknowledge the incident even happened, there was no information for the hospital and doctors besides my word. The doctor who read my ultra sounds and x-rays missed what was later called an obvious separation in my right shoulder. When the obvious injury was initially missed, I was told to use Tylenol/Advil until the pain went away. It took over a year to find a doctor who would listen and took another look at the original tests. He immediately prescribed me something to help and said that had I been able to push for the physio or surgery when the initial injury happened, I likely wouldn't be at risk of it happening again in the future. I have not returned to the store where I found the prices to be higher than others and the staff to be incredibly rude and poorly trained... Thankful for other options.
