Winston and I moved to cook street almost 2 months ago. He was riddled with anxiety after a move and a sudden loss... I was not sleeping, eating, and had used up my sick time at work as I could not leave him alone.
I walked into Paws on Cook in total disarray and had no idea what to do or where to start. That's when we met Connie!! She was incredible. She CARED about my dog (and me) without having met us before. She showed immense compassion, and was filled with KNOWLEDGE. She talked me down, gave me some great advise, showed me some products that could help him, and ideas I never would have thought ooff... Such as taking his raw food, mixing it with some other tasty treats and stuffing a horse hoof, a horn - yes a literal horn lol-, or a kong, (all quality items available at Paws on Cook!!) and freezing these things. This would keep him occupied and distracted... as we worked on the separation anxiety and his confidence.
She leant an ear when i needed it most, and pets and kisses for winston when he needed it most! We now make sure to go weekly to visit Connie, and stock up on our raw bones and other yummy things!!! She also knew more then most should know when I was inquiring on his kibble change, and she continues to be my go to person for questions about my dog. I trust her, and have enjoyed the customer experience every single time i walk in Paws at Cook. It's for sure Winston's favorite place to visit on Cook Street!!!!!! We are blessed to have them! read more
