I signed on as part-time and enjoyed my employment alongside my co-workers who made working there a joy and made the hours go by quickly. Our work environment was friendly we all enjoyed learning and helping customers find everything that they needed with a smile on our faces. In December I requested to be taken off at the schedule due to mental health reasons. I am proud to say that I am a recovering addict of 10 years of addiction I have overcome and I am now celebrating 3 years of sobriety. I was so happy to have found a job that suited me and accepted me and my availability being a mom who is working very hard to prove I can maintain a healthy lifestyle and a job to be able to provide for my children going forward as I have three. I returned in January and was told that I would resume my regular hours previous to December. January and February are slow so I was understanding that my hours would be a little lesser than before Christmas. As March schedule was about to be sent out I was approached and told that I was not going to be on it. The owner of the store Terry had requested I be taken off of the schedule due to the amount of sick days I had taken. The sick days I had taken we're fully within my covid days the other day that I took off was after a close family member passed away and  mentally was not able to perform how I should be at work. The owner of the store seems to think that that staff who make their store run on a daily basis aren't going to stand up for themselves and recognize when things are not being done with in workers rights. I was taken off of the schedule for 2 months straight while being told that the owner of the store was requesting the manager to take me off of the schedule and not give me hours meanwhile telling me that there are no hours for me. Today being a week and one day since my last worked shift at bosleys , I have NOT been told the reason for my termination from my position...  or given any write ups or warning during my employment for there to be just cause. I've spent the past WEEK trying to retain my record of employment , to which they made EXTREMELY hard. The owner went as far as to block my personal phone number , (asking a fellow Staff member how)  ignoring my emails , and refuse to take my call while in store to explaine WHY I lost my job... Today I was told by the owner that I had QUIT my job and that quote "I don't understand why you are having such a difficult time in understanding that you quit" .... well that was a shock to me as NOT ONLY was that simply untrue and not factual in ANY nature , but there is absolutely no reason to speak down to me as though I don't understand basic social ques. I strongly suggest taking your buisness where the employees are VALUED and not discriminated against. Buckerfields has wonderful staff AND LOWER PRICES

    I started my first aquarium a month ago. And got a great sale price on a 20 gallon Hex starter…read morekit, with tank, filter, heater, and thermometer from petsmart uptown. The staff were patient and helpful with ensuring I got all the benefits I could out of the sale. They even refunded me and got me over $18 in credits. I also bought the main centerpiece there. I think it is lovely. I bought 3 juli cory catfish and they are happy and healthy, and a few colourful guppies. One guppy didn't make it through the transition but the other 3 are doing great. I was able to exchange the one that died at no cost. It has been a great experience so far. Thank you.

Today…read morewe went for aquarium section, asked the lady staff a couple of questions, she recommended us to buy a bigger fish tank for our desired type of fish, as ours is 2.5 Gallon. I talked to my daughter and husband and decided to order a 10 Gl from Amazon. With the prime membership that we have we can get in 2 days. I went back to the lady and informed her we would like to buy two guppy fish for now for the small tank and are planning to buy more fish in future for the 10GL tank. She responded for accountability reasons cannot trust us as we are truly planning to buy a bigger fish tank, "so I can not sell you the fish". Her response was shocking, how can you justify and judge us. If I were the manager of the store, I would have warned her or train her to properly talk to customers without judgement. We already received our first fish tank in two days from Amazon, absolutely can get the new one in two days, anyway, her response was so shocking and not respectful.

    I have shopped at this establishment in the past and have been pleased. Just a suggestion to…read moreperhaps have some clear signage for how curbside pickup happens when a purchase is made online. When I arrived, I double-checked the confirmation email to see if there were instructions for how the process would work, like what some other stores do. There was nothing. There were two women outside talking with one of the folks working (probably one of the owners?), so I assumed they were together. There were no signs advising what to do for curbside pick-up and the woman working with what I assumed were two customers together did not address me after seeing that I was waiting. Perhaps a "I will be right with you" or "the lineup is behind this nice person" would have been nice. So, after just standing there for a few minutes, when the customer came out, I stepped in and a lot of hysteria broke out. Some shouting about where I should be, etc...that I am not next in line, etc. It was embarrassing. I apologized and got in line and went in when invited. When I explained I am wanting to pick up an online order, the woman from outside said, "Oh, I could have just given this to you." I did say that it was a bit confusing and she agreed. Perhaps, to avoid shouting at customers again, there could be just a quick instruction or something so the customer doesn't just start trying to do the next right thing, which ends up being wrong thing and an embarrassing situation. I very much want to follow business' COVID guidelines, so I guess that is why it was so embarrassing for me to be shouted at as if I were not wanting to follow their instructions. There were none--only a sign that said "1 person or couple in the store at a time".
