Surprise, surprise, Greg P from Mr. Pets never acknowledged responsibility for his rude staff and hazardous shopping area that lead to my injury, pain and frustration, or offered any kind of help, empathy, or understanding. His suggestion to contact a lawyer myself was ridiculous, 3 different lawyers that I contacted told me that as well. Their legal opinions were all the same - the owner of Mr. PETS would likely make getting anything as difficult as possible. He never even gave me the information for his insurance company or any way to move forward. Due to the level of stress I was already experiencing trying to navigate life with one working arm and a toddler, I opted not to go that route. Since he refused to contact his insurance company himself as any decent business owner would do, or acknowledge the incident even happened, there was no information for the hospital and doctors besides my word. The doctor who read my ultra sounds and x-rays missed what was later called an obvious separation in my right shoulder. When the obvious injury was initially missed, I was told to use Tylenol/Advil until the pain went away. It took over a year to find a doctor who would listen and took another look at the original tests. He immediately prescribed me something to help and said that had I been able to push for the physio or surgery when the initial injury happened, I likely wouldn't be at risk of it happening again in the future. I have not returned to the store where I found the prices to be higher than others and the staff to be incredibly rude and poorly trained... Thankful for other options.

So much so that I had to stop going in with our fur babies as our family had fallen on some financial difficulties. We knew we needed flea treatment and could afford that but was denied the preferred treatment we had our pets on for years because I denied a check up that I could not afford at the time temporarily. We could afford the flea treatment at the time but when explaining this to her secretary at the time she didn't care, so I asked to speak with Dr. Chalmers herself. I patiently waited while she tended to another client and then her secretary went in and spoke with her. Not sure what was said but Dr. Chalmers sided with the secretary and we were denied flea treatments that I preferred unless we booked a check up for our 3 Tzu's. Fair enough. I went and saw my father who kindly came with me to help me out. The fee for check up, shots and flea treatment was well over $500 which I nearly had heart failure over as I told her prior to the appointment I could not afford much. Long story short I left feeling embarrassed, ashamed, angry and couldn't go back. I never did get my fur babies to a vet again and thankful they lived to be 12 and 14 years trying to treat fleas, and any other ailments myself. Hopefully Dr. Chalmers reads this and learns from it. It's not about the money it's supposed to be about caring for the animals, I was left feeling that she only wanted to treat those clients with money. She's a good Veterinarian but wish she would change the attitude within he clinic.

I signed on as part-time and enjoyed my employment alongside my co-workers who made working there a joy and made the hours go by quickly. Our work environment was friendly we all enjoyed learning and helping customers find everything that they needed with a smile on our faces. In December I requested to be taken off at the schedule due to mental health reasons. I am proud to say that I am a recovering addict of 10 years of addiction I have overcome and I am now celebrating 3 years of sobriety. I was so happy to have found a job that suited me and accepted me and my availability being a mom who is working very hard to prove I can maintain a healthy lifestyle and a job to be able to provide for my children going forward as I have three. I returned in January and was told that I would resume my regular hours previous to December. January and February are slow so I was understanding that my hours would be a little lesser than before Christmas. As March schedule was about to be sent out I was approached and told that I was not going to be on it. The owner of the store Terry had requested I be taken off of the schedule due to the amount of sick days I had taken. The sick days I had taken we're fully within my covid days the other day that I took off was after a close family member passed away and  mentally was not able to perform how I should be at work. The owner of the store seems to think that that staff who make their store run on a daily basis aren't going to stand up for themselves and recognize when things are not being done with in workers rights. I was taken off of the schedule for 2 months straight while being told that the owner of the store was requesting the manager to take me off of the schedule and not give me hours meanwhile telling me that there are no hours for me. Today being a week and one day since my last worked shift at bosleys , I have NOT been told the reason for my termination from my position...  or given any write ups or warning during my employment for there to be just cause. I've spent the past WEEK trying to retain my record of employment , to which they made EXTREMELY hard. The owner went as far as to block my personal phone number , (asking a fellow Staff member how)  ignoring my emails , and refuse to take my call while in store to explaine WHY I lost my job... Today I was told by the owner that I had QUIT my job and that quote "I don't understand why you are having such a difficult time in understanding that you quit" .... well that was a shock to me as NOT ONLY was that simply untrue and not factual in ANY nature , but there is absolutely no reason to speak down to me as though I don't understand basic social ques. I strongly suggest taking your buisness where the employees are VALUED and not discriminated against. Buckerfields has wonderful staff AND LOWER PRICES
