Worst place to take your dog to get groomed they didn't give me what I wanted. I showed them a picture of how I wanted my dog to look and told them if they couldn't do it like that then just to trim her hair and cut the motts but no they completely shaved all my dogs hair off ! Took my puppy in today for a puppy bath and I was more than happy with the outcome. Not only did she smell fresh and clean but they trimmed her nails down (so more more scratching) and even gave her a little bow I can tell she liked her groomer which was Tiffany because when I showed up to pick her up she was sleeping in her arms she hardly does that! Anyways, I highly recommend pet smart grooming at this location, they are wonderful, caring and super friendly with the pets and customer. read more

love Petsmart! so happy they finally opened one on this side of the valley! I used to drive to Canoga Petsmart, which is a good 30-40 mins with traffic to get treats/prescription food. When they finally opened a Petsmart in Northridge, I was happy there was one closer. but, Northridge is still a 20 min drive with traffic, last week I drove by the plant & saw the Petsmart sign, so happy they opened one over here! its literally less then 10 mins away with traffic.. it's spacious inside, tons of parking and clean inside. The PetSmart staff at 7888 Van Nuys Blvd are usually helpful. In fact, that is where I purchased my first fancy goldfish. I have another small aquarium that has an angelfish. I have a third aquarium that I yet have to set up for a beta fish. I thought that I should add more fish into the small aquariums so I watched several YouTube videos. Of the separate recommended tank mates for beta fish and angelfish, the Rummy Nose Tetra was highly recommended. So, today, Friday April 9, 2021 at about 5 o'clock at the PetSmart store in Van Nuys when staff asked if they can help, I said that I am looking for a Rummy Nose Tetra, which the store did not have. While looking at live aquarium plants near the Beta Fish area, two plainclothes guys approached me from behind and sneezed, without looking away, as soon as they were at a distance of about one foot from my back. They were fake sneezes but with the Covid situation still not under control, that was just a terrible "joke". I looked at them and observed that one was giggling while the other was saying, "My bad." That threw me off. When I composed myself and looked for them, they were gone. They were gone fast because they went inside the employees only area. I suppose, that fake sneeze was PetSmart Van Nuys's version of Rummy Nose. read more

My little girl fell completely in love with this furry little cute creature known as a Russian dwarf hamster? LOL! Couldn't say no so I brought this little Russian mobster home with us. I took my dog in yesterday for his first time, I wouldn't recommend the grooming service at this store. My dog came back with fleas my dog has never had fleas !! I feel like I went to go pay for him to get fleas. They should really check every dog before they take them in. He was so uncomfortable so I started checking him. Now he has hives due to them biting him no wonder he wasn't being himself ! Worst experience ever, not only does he have hives but they didn't trim his nails and his ears were not cleaned. I honestly don't know what kind of people work there but they're not doing their job. read more

I usually do not write reviews but after going to PetSmart Van Nuys location me and my family we went inside to buy puppy food for my German Shepherd the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the products they had we where shocked at the customer service we got from the employees. The store was very clean like it was a new store the grooming department was very good also we talked to them to bring him in for a wash and etc. Also i talked to them to bring my puppy to help with the training ( school ) which we are going to enroll him. Every business I go inside there's always a one downfall but this one didn't have any there was nothing I can say bad except very good job to the employees. also the coupon book the have is worth it you save alot of money read more

If I could give this place 0 star I would! I'm crying while I'm writing this, I brought my dog to petsmart to get a bath and nails clipped February 4th @0530, I spoke with a groomer named Valerie and scheduled an appointment, I told her that my dog is sensitive with his nails and gets anxious, to just try and cut it and if he resists to stop doing it. I brought him and he was the same happy dog, with no medical issues. I picked up my dog within an hour and he looks very scared and shaking, And when I carried him to my car I noticed his legs were wobbly, I thought his toes were just sensitive since they were just clipped so I didn't make it a big deal until I came home, I noticed he was not able to walk at all. I called petsmart and talked to Valerie and asked what happened, why was my dog like that all of a sudden when he was walking prior to grooming, she said along the lines of " I know he was walking, but I noticed his legs started to become wobbly after I cut his right back toenails so I stopped when he was crying really hard, maybe it was pain from the nails thats why he didnt want to move it" I gave it time, until a couple of hours I noticed my dog couldn't lift himself at all, he was laying down with paws stretched out in fromt of him, hyperventilating with muscle spasms. I tried to stand him up and his legs literally dangled and were flaccid, I pinched his back toes with no reaction and thats when I realized that My dog was PARALYZED from his hind legs...I could not believe it, I couldn't stop crying and regretted bringing him to petsmart panorama, it was one of the worst nightmares I have ever had in my life..how could a completely young healthy dog can become handicapped helpless at a blink of an eye after a simple bath and nail grinding..And it just occurred to me when I picked him up, It took Valerie awhile (15 mins) to get him from the grooming backroom when it will take less than a minute to do that, thats probably when she realized his change of condition and did not tell me anything! I brought him to the emergency vet and was told that he was indeed paralyzed and most possible cause is acute trauma prior to the incident from an accident or a fall! My dog must have been mishandled and fell in grooming salon!! I was told that surgery will only fix him to be able to walk again which will cost $7,000 to 10,000 dollars!!!, I went to talk to the manager and asked for surveillance canera, he apologized that petsmart DOESN'T keep videos at all which is questionable, he also told me that he will file a case and expect petsmart to contact me, and they did not. So I filed a complaint myself through petsmart direct line since it was very shady and not followed through by manager. Right now my dog is going through physical therapy and if he doesn't recover completely I am definitely going to file a lawsuit, not just for the enormous vet bills that will commence just to bring him back, but the quality of life petsmart has tskrn from my beloved dog and the mental and emotional impact I had to go through with accepting that he might not walk again! Please DO NOT GO TO petsmart for grooming for the sake of your dog's well being! read more
