Friendly staff, they are good with my Mini Dachshund in the grooming department. I drive past the Wilsonville location to go to this one for better service in the grooming center. Only deduct 1 star because for a dog owner I feel the other big box pet store has better selection to spoil your furry companion. Haven't tried the pet hotel or daycare yet but will update review when I do. read more

I use the Petsmart pets hotel and doggie day camp. I really like it. My dog does too, her ears perk up at the word "camp" , and she heads right inside to greet her friends. The staff always treats her so well, and it has been excellent socialization for her, not only with other dogs, but also with other people. The hours are also excellent, it allows for lots of flexibility in my schedule. I never thought I would use day camp regularly, but it has become a staple. After all, a tired and well-loved dog equals a happy dog! It is also huge peace of mind to know that when we travel, she is safe and cared for. Thanks to all the staff for their kindness. read more

This place is incorrectly named. It should be Pet STUPID! I left my two small dogs with them for 5 nights. I'd taken great care to get all their food and other daily necessities organized, labeled, and in a bag. I'd also jumped through all of PetSmart's hoops to make sure my dogs were immunized, even though I knew they would not be interacting with other dogs while there. When I got back, it soon became clear to me that they'd been neglected during their stay. Obviously, the pet "hotel" was under-staffed and didn't give my two 10-pounders the TLC that PetSmart promises, even though their daily price is exorbitant! I'd arranged a pickup time with the manager, so expected my dogs to be ready to go at that time. Well, the staff member at the desk couldn't locate all their items because they were being "washed". This should have been handled in a more timely manner, but I was shocked to learn that even their little doggie bed needed to be cleaned. Seriously, everything had been sparkling clean when I brought them in. Only, NEGLECT can explain this. My dogs use a potty pad when they can't go outside, but they obviously had not been taken to go potty on a regular basis, so they'd soiled their bedding, etc.! Also, several of my dogs' items were "lost" and I only got their blanket and towel given back to me three days later when I went in to talk with the manager about the situation. I'd also arranged for my dogs to be groomed during their stay. They ended up being "scalped" and basically unrecognizable when I picked them up. The worst part was dealing with the ears of my Maltipoo because the so-called groomer had cut and razor burned the insides of both his ears. I had to take him to a vet to get medication to treat those infected/scabbed areas. My poor little guy whimpered in pain, kept shaking his head to dislodge the scabs, and couldn't sleep (nor could I). Three weeks later, the spots are just looking normal again. Nothing like that had every happened at the hands of a groomer previously and my dogs have been going to groomers for 8 years!!! There's no excuse for animals being treated in this manner!!! Furthermore, there has been no monetary compensation offered by PetSmart, Tualatin, even though it's quite clear that they did not fulfill their part of the care contract that I signed when I took my dogs to stay there. Lesson learned. The manager gave "lip service" to being able to handle the situation, but clearly, he either has no authority or makes empty promises to get unhappy customers "off his back". The only conclusion that I can draw is that other pets are likely to receive the same rotten care as mine because there's obviously no consequence for being incompetent! NEVER again will I take any pet that I love to that store! Hopefully, you readers will think twice before leaving your pets at the Tualatin PetSmart Hotel. read more

I took my dog to the Tualatin, Oregon PetSmart for training. The experience was excellent. I enjoyed the first class so much that I signed up for a second one. Trainer Joe was patient, had a great sense of humor, and best of all, incredibly encouraging. He was careful to keep us all separated in the large room, so the class felt very safe, even though it was indoors. Highly recommend! read more

So excited about about our experience at this PetSmart. We had tried this location before and we were not overly impressed and to be honest, I was hesitant to try it again but I gave it a try because we love and trust our groomer Kristin L. with our FurBaby and she recently moved to this company. Our experience was awesome- customer service was on point, our beautiful pup looked awesome and was happy. New management has made a BIG DIFFERENCE!!! Thank you PetSmart staff, I will refer my friends and family! read more

We adopted our dog (Mini Pin) from a nearby rescue a few months prior to taking him to this PetSmart for beginning training lessons. Both my wife and I grew up with dogs (German Shepard, Bordercollie lab, chihuaha, daushund) untrained, and we wanted to do our rescue dog right by getting him some beginning trained right away. This PetSmart, specifically Joe was an awesome trainer.  First, Originally we had our training scheduled with Marge, but Joe personally called us to notify of trainer changing and the time changing. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating for all the questions we had throughout all the training sessions.  Second, Our dog (Mini Pin) was super expressive and crying and whining, and we though he was just excited to be there, but Joe let us know that sometimes dogs do that when they're concerned or anxious, leading us to try different methods and teaching techniques to make sure our dog's comfortable and still able to learn.   Third, Joe was very open and honest about feedback, and how to improve the relationship between owners and pets. This helped my wife and I understand our dog more, and become better dog owners through walking tips and techniques, to diet/grooming and impulse control.  We definitely recommend Joe for the beginning training class for all dog owners looking to know their dog better and how to help them become the best they could be. read more

Grooming Salon manager rude and condescending at unsafe check-in. Will be taking my dogs to Wilco in Lake Oswego from now on.

Wonderful exceptional customer service. Everyone here is knowledgeable about my dogs breed and his needs. Nobody pushes anything on me they simply explain what they can do to make my life easier with my dog, services that really are applicable and makes sense, and just a really well-trained staff. I feel so good leaving him in their hands.... read more

One cashier on a Saturday afternoon? Not only was he rude, but he kept on insisting a lady bring her golden to him for his training class. So all of us in line had to watch him feed her dog treats, and talk about how awesome he is. That's great dude, but right now we all just want to get our pet food and leave. No one cares. He also forgot to ring up some of my items, and I had to ask twice if he got everything, because I figured that was nicer than asking him to pay attention and stop talking about himself. read more

I took my dog to the PetSmart grooming in Tualatin performed by Kristi A. and when I got my dog back his haircut did not only look bad with random shave marks on his face but razor burn all over the bottom of his tail and butt area. He has been hyperventilating, crying, hiding and licking this area non stop since. When we called the manager to explain what happened they took no responsibility and said there was nothing they could do. read more

PetSmart - My dogs tail after his grooming - Pet Groomers Near Me - Tualatin, Oregon

Never going back there again. I needed my dog groomed as my fiance and I have our wedding next Saturday. Our dog is in the wedding and I need her looking clean. Was told my dog needed vaccines updated yesterday in order to be groomed. I spoke to Mark Kay on the phone and she never mentioned the 48 hr vaccine policy. She booked my dog for grooming and when I came in this morning was told, "sorry." When I mentioned that I was told yesterday all I needed to do what get her shots updated and bring in papers to prove she had gotten them, the woman I was speaking with said, "Mary booked you and she wouldn't do that." Then said she was sorry...some solice in this mix up but came off very ingenuious. She noted they could get her in tomorrow and I explained I couldn't do that because of work... Low and behold here comes Mary Kay. The woman didn't even greet me or apologize she just started defending herself in an agressive and rude way. I tried to explain that I didn't understand why you would have even booked my dog within 24 hrs of the phone call to make an appt knowing she needed her vaccines updated. Mary Kay just argued stating she remembered talking to me and for sure told me about the 48 hr policy...and I left in tears. AWFUL! If they treat their customers like that, how are they going to treat the pups. Also, not professional to be eating red vines while grooming dogs...gross. read more

Not impressed with the grooming part of this PetSmart. While I prefer to take my dog to Urban Fauna, they were totally booked, and I am getting ready to leave the country for a few weeks. My furry golden is in need of some serious TLC in the grooming department. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment. I always carry my dog's records with me, so I thought I wouldn't have a problem bringing him. So, I drove all the way out there to find out they screwed up the schedule and did not have me on the books. Then, when I tried to get him in, when I showed them the vaccination schedule, they said they do not groom dogs within 48 hours of receiving a shot. Considering I had talked to the person the day before to confirm his appointment, and mentioned that he just got his bordatella, and they said nothing to me, I was pretty pissed. Their customer service was terrible. The girl behind the counter was talking to me like a 5 year old, but her comprehension was clearly that of a 5 year old, since she had to ask me 6 times what service I was asking for (wash and cut). After awhile, I just wanted to slap her for not listening to me, and for being so not helpful. I will stick with Urban Fauna and learn to plan ahead. And, Urban Fauna is much more reasonably priced, has cleaner facilities, and much nicer staff. read more

We left our 7 year old dog (german shepherd/golden retriever mix) at the Pet Hotel at this location for 5 nights and we were very happy with their hotel!! We use to board him at a farm, but last time they lost him and we had to cut our vacation short to come home and find him, thank goodness after 1.5 days in the cold here in OR he was found and mostly unharmed. I looked for an indoor only doggie hotel after that and came across Pets Mart hotel, and although at first I had my reservations about a pets store hotel, I was impressed after visting and talking with the employees their. Great customer service and totally set my mind at ease!! No way he can get out of that place and I knew he would be well cared for. He will chew his side if he is nervous or scared and he came home with no signs of that so we know he was taken care of and he was happy! I would highly recommend the Pet Hotel to any pet owner while they have to be away from their pet, peace of mind! (I have to agree with some other reviews that the PetsMart retail customer service inside this location is lacking, but INSIDE the Pet Hotel you will be very happy with the customer service.) read more

I am crying I am so upset with how my dog looks after going to get only his legs/paws groomed! He had long shaggy hair . . .they were told to cut only his feet NOT his body and he now looks like a poodle! I guess I won't be sending out Christmas cards - he looks horrible!! I am SO upset. I was very clear on the instructions and MaryKay even repeated them back. I didn't even think it was my dog when I got him back. DO NOT GO HERE FOR GROOMING . . . . . read more

Kristi groomed our dog today at 3 pm. My wife told her to not cut the dogs hair, but it was cut, including his rear which when cut he does not look like an eskimoe. I am really unhappy about the short trimmed hair, we have been going to this place for 5 years and no one else cut his hair, I do not think it was necessary and takes away the american eskimoe look. He is 6 years old and never had or needed his hair cut and his breed is not supposed to have a hair cut like the one he got. The other groomers got the knots olut with out cutting all his hair. The other groomer got the knots out without a complete trimm for over 4 years of servicing our dog. I have a photo of the rear cut that is not flattering. read more

We have had our dogs boarded here several times. It is not our preferred kennel especially for long trips since it is all indoors. But for a quick trip to Seattle this is the best place to take them to with their generous Sunday check out policy. Only $17 for both dogs to pick up between noon and 6pm. I like the little progress report they give when we pick the pups up. Overall, I trust this location to care for my dogs when I travel. read more

I used the pet grooming service for the first time at the Tualatin location. I saw one on the employees filing the nails of a small dog, the dog was screaming and the guy shut the dog mouth with his hand and told him " shut up!!". Not sure if this guy knows constant filing generates heat and will burn. He did that a few times. I took my dog there for a bath and nail trimming and I told the girl not to cut them too short or it will bleed, well they didn't listen, I noticed blood on his nails after pick him up and the nails were very short. Not only that, it was the first time after a service that as soon as we got home my dog hid in the corner crying and stayed there the rest of the day. I used to take him to his vet for nail trimming and this never happened (his vet is NOT at PetSmart). Never again. This guy needs to be fired, ask the other employees, I'm sure they know who he is, there were others there. read more

Petsmart in clackamas is the WORST!!! all they care about is money wanted to get my son a guinea pig for Christmas and they refused to sell me the guinea pig without me spending 300.00 yes I expected to spend and was prepared to spend 150.00 but they wouldn't even let ME pick the food or hay that I wanted to buy and we already had the cage and the guy did not believe me and wanted me to spend all this money...went to creature comfort spent only 50.00 got everything I wanted with NO HASSEL. read more

This is the cheapest place I've found to purchase Swheat Scoop. I buy 40 pound bags for the same price I see 25 pound bags in other stores.... Now this causes some moral problems because I'd prefer to support local stores but when you have two cats, it's such a savings.... Also, I like to buy Kong Natural toys for my cats and they have one of the best varieties I've seen. Sometimes they hit the clearance end-cap so I can score great deals on the toys or I bought a comfy (or at least one cat thinks so) pet bed by that brand. They don't carry raw food and the rest of their food is mostly crap masquerading as quality cat food for roughly the same price. (Almost all of it has grain and usually as the first, second or third ingredient....) read more

We take our pup to get groomed here and he is always in ship shape once picked up! We appreciate our groomer Kristin!

Had my dog groomed today and picked him up and he was still wet.. I found that interesting as when I came in they stylist Rebecca explained to me that the dogs do not leave wet and that they get a blow dry.. my pup apparently missed that part. I have taken my dog here multiple times for doggy day camp and he loves it! (My two star review is specifically for the grooming treatment) the store and the staff members are always polite, friendly and helpful. But today I was very disappointed with my pups grooming service. Bummer, better luck next time? read more

Nothing but bad expierences and bad advice. I bought goldfish here, only to take them home and find out they have sickly diseases. I bought lighting from here only to find out the lighting isn't strong enough and could lead to death of some animals. For your sake, don't seek advice from these people. They do have a good section of pet food and feeder animals/insects though . If you want real help then go to a reptile or a fish store.. read more

If I could give Petsmart zero stars I certainly would. At least the staff they have on now.My dogs have been groomed there for the past 12 years often on and they've always gone above and beyond to take care of my older golden retriever with two bad knees, they groomed her on the floor. We took our dogs there tonight and explained that the older dog had this issue and please groom on the floor and give her breaks. They've always done this in the past and we had no reason why they wouldn't give us at the same level of service. Tonight after 10 minutes of being there they shaved my dog which I just want to haircut and they had to shave her to the point of looking ridiculous. They called me while my family was coming hike from dropping her off minutes saying they can't Continue grooming my dog on the table. I told them not to put her on the table. Anyway Mikala The floor manager, has no people skills and no dog skills and apparently the staff they're hiring there is unskilled.Instead of treating me professionally she hung up on me and told me that I didn't care about my dogs health and safety. She should look for another line of work as well as a person it was grooming her. read more

We were given mixed information from the first phone called making a reservation. Mostly uninformed staff and one particular young woman wa just lifelessly disinterested to the point of rudeness. We dropped our tiny Pom mix off for grooming and she came home with a huge chunk of fur missing behind one ear. Down to the skin bald patch. She still looks awkward and it's been a few months. You look at her straight on and her ruff is missing in that area. We also tried the doggie day care. She seemed stressed when she was done and. I wouldn't take her back there read more

I would take my Yorkshire Terrier here for overnight boarding, anywhere from a few days to a week at a time, and for day care. He simply LOVES it. I judge their service by how excited (or scared) my dog is upon returning. He would get so excited when I turned into the driveway. He simply loves everyone here. They remember him by name when we would stop by to shop and he would go into the Hotel just to say hi, they always remembered him by sight. We moved away from the area and I told the hotel staff that he would no longer be staying there. They seemed genuinely sad to see him go and even put a farewell and best wishes note in his last 'report card'. It was sweet. I'm very sad that there is no doggy day care as reasonably priced in the area. Because this is a big national chain of stores, their prices were competitive and I could afford to take him to day care several times a week and board him when I traveled and pay for all day social play and one on one play time. I cannot afford to pay for this type of day care in my new residence as there is no Petsmart in the area. I cannot speak for all Petsmart Hotels or all locations, but the Tualatin location is wonderful! read more

I purchased 3 neon tetras and 1 oto fish yesterday. Today the 3 neon tetras are dead. I had added the fish to an established tank after completing a 50% water change yesterday. I returned the dead fish to PetSmart and was told that there was a problem with a recent ick epidemic. (I had noticed a few dead fish in their tanks...) I was advised not to replace the fish due to the epidemic and was given a refund instead. The reason for the 2 star rating - why was I able to purchase the fish yesterday if there indeed was a concern about the health of the fish? Now my entire tank may be affected... From now on I am purchasing fish at a store devoted only to aquarium fish. Stephen C. read more

okay..... I was looking for a new cat to bring into my life. I looked many places and found one here that I was interested in. We talked with the petsmart employees and they said to come back around the same time the next day to adopt one of the cats from C.A.T. adoption team. GREAT!!! so we left. The next day I wanted to be there right when the rep would be there to pick up my new fuzzy roommate. I called and got a woman on the phone..... she was rude and condescending and of no help what-so-ever. She advised me she had no idea when they would be there and I needed to go to CAT adoption to get my cat. ummmmmmmmm. wow okay no reason to be rude but okay. So I did, I went to CAT adoption and they were Horrified that the reps from petsmart were so inept. I filled out the paperwork and was told to go back to pick her up. When I got to petsmart.... there was indeed a CAT rep there and yea they gave me the kitty I wanted but also said that all the employees needed to do was give me a phone number to call the rep or better yet...... look at the schedule to see when they would be there. As it was the rep told me if CAT main store had not called when they did to "reserve" my kitty she would have been adopted out ..... since the employees didnt even mention that someone was in there interested and called about the one cat. After I got the cat I was looking for specific treats and the employees were of little help either telling me the wrong isle.... okay that happens.... or just pointing in the general direction and walking away. I will go anywhere else but here in the future. read more

We left our dog there in June. They charge extra for almost everything! We think our dog was not even walked anytime when she was there for 2 weeks. We took our labradoodle to the groomer to get shaved and they cut his hair down to the skin. What we originally thought was razer burn was actually ringworm. We have been members of Banfield for almost 20 years. We loved the care we received for our two shih tzu's at their Tigard medical facility. We have used the Petsmart Hotel facility in Tualatin for a number of years. We are very disappointed they stopped accepting providing hotel care for our older dog at 14-15 years old. They would only allow overnight stays - nothing longer. We signed up with Petsmart expecting complete care for our dogs. It is sad they refuse hotel care for older dogs. If you have a dog, I would suggest you find a different doggy hotel that will accept old dogs - no matter their age. That way, as the dog ages, they will be be able to stay in facilities where they are comfortable. As a customer, we should expect more from Petsmart Hotels. read more
