Diesel enjoying his post grooming chill time!

Beyond thankful I found paws for elegance! I used to go to other groomers but they left a bad taste in my mouth when I'd pick my dog up and he would be fully shaved and almost acting scared when all I wanted was a trim plus my dog is the most submissive and super easy to work with as I've trimmed his hair in the past so I don't know why he would be acting scared to go back to those other places. This place knocked it out of the park for me. I used to just come here for the self wash stations where I'd cut his hair and give him a wash but now I think I will be using their grooming services from now on! I love the bandana and little flower they put on him, he smells and looks fantastic! they dremeled his nails and did the glands. The charge was $120 which seems to be the normal now in days. I will 100% be coming back! Peeri did an amazing job.

    Big patch on chest

Went here the first time for a grooming on my chow chow and English cocker spaniel and will not be returning. During pick up I didn't realize any change in my chow chow expect her tail looking rounder, from afar my cocker looks good we asked them for a shave since she was covered in mats after a trip to the beach. After closer inspection at home I see uneven shaves in my cocker, the most noticeable is a big patch right on her chest. It's been a couple of days and both dogs are unhappy, it seems as though not only have their appearance have change but also their personalities after the trip. I haven't seen my cocker and chow smile after the trip and I'm starting to question what could've went on bts.

Molly and her husband are terrific, always do a great job with my tall toy poodle. She always works with me if I need to change my appointment and always gets my Dolly washed, groomed, nails clipped and painted when needed as well as brushes her teeth. It takes her just 2 hours and Dolly comes out looking terrific. Love this place and these people. The receptionists are helpful and accommodating too.

Picture of spot for reference (before bath didnt have an after sorry!)

Really neat place. I do nail trims myself on my own dog, but I don't have a place in my home to bathe him besides my back patio but thats cold water. Its very fun experience with my partner and my dog. Although he isn't a fan of the drying part he did so well with us throughout most of it! I forgot to ask if we could bring our own shampoo but if we could bring our own stuff that'd be neat!!

So fresh after her Grooming appointment!

Krysta always does the best job! Our pup is so happy to go in and see her, and leaves so soft and fresh, looking perfect! Krysta is so loving towards Millie and has great attention to detail. She cleans Millie's teeth, files her nails and does the works! Her cuts consistently come out looking great and we couldn't be happier. Today she added some sweet little bows for fun and the whole family loved it. Paws For Elegance offers a great value to their services. Thank you so much to Krysta for being the best!

I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately I feel obligated to for my dog's recent grooming service. For being $95 and taking 4.5 hours, my pup came out looking like a bengal tiger. You can see every single line from the clippers. I am so disappointed, and I will not be coming back.

    Cute cut, love the kerchief

First time, great experience. Kim did an awesome job on my Pomeranian Reggie! We will definitely be back!

This self serve dog wash is half the price of other full grooming services with all of the humor of a TV sitcom! You know, the kind where the kid is washing the big fluffy dog, reaches down for more shampoo, and the dog shakes, giving you your second shower of the day? Good times! This place is clean, the manager was friendly, specialty shampoos, dryers, hair removal brushes, etc... Nothing was knotted with old hair or rusty. The only thing that keeps them from 5 stars is the lower-ish bath tubs (I'm 6'3"), and the tubs not being mounted to the ground. As I bent over to rinse my dog, when I would bump the tub, it would slide and become off center with the drain. Not a huge problem, but the lower back takes a toll here.

All clean to show off at the park.

Love that there's also a self wash seeing as there isn't anything like that in Wilsonville for when we're in a pinch.

Overall, our experience was very good. From the prompt and personal response to our email request for a reservation, to having the paperwork in order when we arrived. The only downside was the location, a bit of a drive for us, and it also seemed a little chaotic. But, in all fairness, we were picking up on a holiday weekend, so some chaos is expected. I should note that I chose Windy Ridge based on a glowing recommendation from a regular customer with the same breed of dog. They've been very happy there for years and based on my experience, I also consider them to be a good option. I found their rates to be reasonable in relation to other kennels in the area: Rent 1 run for 1 dog: $28/day Rent 1 run for 2 dogs: $45/day Rent 1 run for 3 small dogs: $56/day These daily rates are charged just like a hotel. You pay for the day when you bring your pet in, and checkout time is 12:00 noon the following day. Any checkout after 12:00 noon will be charged an extra day. There were also a couple things far superior to the kennel we used for years with our other dog. They are open seven days a week, so we could pick up our pup on Sunday, which is great emotionally and financially. They will also give your dog medication (orally, not shots), two times a day at no additional charge and a free bath after seven days. It used to frustrate me to no end to pay a per pill charge every day at our former kennel. We ended up finding another kennel closer to home, that was on a smaller scale and just feels a bit more comfortable for our "baby." However, I wouldn't hesitate to board her at Windy Ridge again if my first choice was already full.

We used Tails and Trails 3 times with mixed results. Important to know- you create detailed notes with the owner (Jeff) on how to access your building, routines, where leashes are, etc., etc., when you have your introductory visit. Our instructions ask that the handler only feeds the cats their canned food, nothing else. 1st time, week-long trip (June 2024)- handlers were 2+ hours late regularly. While this wasn't the biggest issue, we don't have a doggie door and that level of lateness pushed the pup's bathroom breaks longer than we're comfortable. But, we liked the service offered and adjusted how often we scheduled handler visits for the second and third visits. 2nd time, 1 week of walks while both of us were gone for longer than 8 hours (September 2024)- Great! Annie (I'm not disclosing employees' full names for their privacy) had no problems and was very helpful. 3rd time, overnight away- 4 visits requested: Sat afternoon and evening; Sun am and afternoon (October 2024)- Day 1- We left the house at 8 am and scheduled feeding/walk visits for about 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Around 1:25 pm, Chloe (office manager) texted me to ask if we had scheduled for 7:00 am that day. When we said we hadn't, a communication between Chloe and a handler led to the 1:00 pm visit being skipped. We talked with Chloe that evening and she said the handler would roll the afternoon and evening visits together, apologized for the miscommunication between herself and the handler, and credited our account for the mistake (all great). The handler arrived around 7:00 pm. They had a difficult time accessing the building so Chloe texted us to say the handler would hang out for a little longer before leaving if they couldn't get access. Once they did get into the building, they couldn't find the food or leash. The access information, food instructions, and where the leashes are were all in the instructions. The handler fed the pets and took the pup for a 15-min potty break. Since we were only gone for a night, we didn't book anyone to stay overnight. We considered cutting the trip short and wish we had. Day 2- Oscar was our handler. We got notifications that both visits were completed and everything seemed to have gone smoothly. When we got home, a glass jar with cat treats had been taken from the closed closet and left open on the counter. When we got home, there were treats all over the counter and SHATTERED GLASS MIXED WITH TREATS all over the floor. All three cats had engorged stomachs. While Chloe apologized and said she'd speak with Oscar the next day, we didn't hear back from Tails and Trails' manager or owner. We'll be anxiously monitoring our furbabies for a few more days.
