I do not recommend this place. I tried their self service dog wash. Their tubs are too flimsy for large dogs. And their shampoo's are so watered down that it just squirts out like tapwater. If you do go, you need to bring your own shampoo. On top of that, the "shampoo" smelled like something that's used commercially to mop floors. I've never smelled that smell before and a shampoo. God only knows what I was washing my dog with. When I asked the guy why the shampoos were so watery, he said that "they were running low so they added some water so that they would go farther until their next shipment arrived." Despite my better judgment, I also brought my Shih Tzu there for full grooming because she needed a haircut. When I dropped her off for her APPOINTMENT, the person that was going to groom her told me it would take a couple of hours meaning she would be ready by 11am, having a 9a appointment. At 11:15am I called the store to see if my dog was ready. The Store manager answered the phone and informed me that she would be ready around 2 PM because "they had a lot of walk-ins and other dogs that needed to be groomed too". I said well that's why I made an appointment and that the lady that was grooming my dog said that she would only take about two hours and would be ready at 11 AM. This person on the phone continued to argue with me about "you don't know how dog grooming businesses work," among other abrasive comments. I had gone out to run errands during these two hours and was nearby which is why I called. I decided to go ahead and go over there and pick up my dog - in whatever condition she was in. I figured if she was going to be another 3 hours, she was probably still in a cage waiting for her bath. When I arrived, they brought up my dog, who appeared to have already had her bath and haircut, Which made me extra confused - if she was already finished why did they tell me that she wouldn't be ready until 2 PM? When it was time to pay, one of the employees had to go back and ask what the charge would be for the grooming service. He came back flustered and said it would be $90! For a 15 pound Shih Tzu! I asked why it was so high, and he just said that's the price he was told. I asked to see a price sheet and he acted like he didn't know if one existed. Then he pulled out a price sheet that was laminated on a chain right there by the cash register and told me how these were "old prices from years ago" when he first started even though it was on a chain and laminated and right there dangling from the cash register. The price sheet for a Shih Tzu said $65 and up. I would certainly like to know why I was charged $90! Of course, there was no explanation. I cannot emphasize enough how much I do not recommend this place - self-serve or full groom. Save yourself a headache and possibly injury to your pet and go someplace else! read more

We've been loyal customers of Paws For Elegance for five years and have even recommended it to others--but after my most recent visit, I doubt we'll be back. I took my dog in for a simple nail trim, but when she was brought back to me, the receptionist casually mentioned that the groomer had also expressed her anal glands "because she smelled so bad." I was never asked if I wanted this done, even though I was right in the next room. To make matters worse, I was then charged for both services without my consent. In the moment, I was too shocked to argue, but on the drive home, it sank in just how dishonest and unprofessional this was. Performing and charging for an unsolicited service is completely unacceptable. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of, and this experience has seriously damaged my trust in this business. Thankfully, I hear Scenthound is opening in Sherwood soon, so I'm glad to have another option. read more

On our way home from McMinnville and/or wine country we always stop in at Paws for Elegance when our dog is with us. It's the easiest, most convenient self serve dog wash we have ever visited. Everyone working here is very kind and helpful. PFE has great amenities including shampoo, conditioner, brushes, and low heat dryer. The bowl is easy for my dog to get in and out. The nail trims are super quick and well done. Even though my dog does not like baths, we love Paws For Elegance services and amenities. read more

Beyond thankful I found paws for elegance! I used to go to other groomers but they left a bad taste in my mouth when I'd pick my dog up and he would be fully shaved and almost acting scared when all I wanted was a trim plus my dog is the most submissive and super easy to work with as I've trimmed his hair in the past so I don't know why he would be acting scared to go back to those other places. This place knocked it out of the park for me. I used to just come here for the self wash stations where I'd cut his hair and give him a wash but now I think I will be using their grooming services from now on! I love the bandana and little flower they put on him, he smells and looks fantastic! they dremeled his nails and did the glands. The charge was $120 which seems to be the normal now in days. Went here the first time for a grooming on my chow chow and English cocker spaniel and will not be returning. During pick up I didn't realize any change in my chow chow expect her tail looking rounder, from afar my cocker looks good we asked them for a shave since she was covered in mats after a trip to the beach. After closer inspection at home I see uneven shaves in my cocker, the most noticeable is a big patch right on her chest. It's been a couple of days and both dogs are unhappy, it seems as though not only have their appearance have change but also their personalities after the trip. I haven't seen my cocker and chow smile after the trip and I'm starting to question what could've went on bts. read more

Have been a customer for about 10 years. This last experience was the worst. Always had good service in the past. My dog had an accident #2 while waiting for someone to come out and greet us. My wife went out to the car to get some paper towels. We cleaned it up and continued to wait. A short haired young girl finally came out. She told me I would need to take the poop bag outside to dispose of it. Saying there is a receptacle outside. Not that I could find?? I explained the the accident happened in her waiting area and she held out her garbage can, thx! Told her this is Roxie and she is here for a dremal. She proceeded to take her back calling her buddy?? My female dog is almost 15 years old. She came back and asked me to assist which is fine. I'm glad because the groomer was told incorrectly by the same front desk lady to use nail clippers instead of the dremal i requested. They should definitely find a better greeter/cashier! read more

This self serve dog wash is half the price of other full grooming services with all of the humor of a TV sitcom! You know, the kind where the kid is washing the big fluffy dog, reaches down for more shampoo, and the dog shakes, giving you your second shower of the day? Good times! This place is clean, the manager was friendly, specialty shampoos, dryers, hair removal brushes, etc... Nothing was knotted with old hair or rusty. The only thing that keeps them from 5 stars is the lower-ish bath tubs (I'm 6'3"), and the tubs not being mounted to the ground. As I bent over to rinse my dog, when I would bump the tub, it would slide and become off center with the drain. Not a huge problem, but the lower back takes a toll here. read more

I used to really like this place. Today, I took my dog in for her monthly bath and nail trim. I asked for the Dremel tool to be used on my dog , as her veins run long in her toenails, and she's an easy bleeder. While I was setting up the tub, I heard my dog screaming from the grooming room. I ran back and looked, and the woman was cutting her nails not dremmeling them. I asked what the fuck was going on, and was told that it takes too long to Dremel so she was cutting the nails first. That's why I pay extra for the Dremmel- it takes more time. When I tried to get my dog off of the grooming table, the leash around her neck was so tight I could not get my fingers in to pull it off over her head. I have not had bad results there before, but that woman will never touch my dog again, or I will be putting the noose over hear head and pulling it equally as tight. And then I'll cut HER toenails. read more

Haven is the most professional and caring groomer I have found. Most the time my little one is nervous but with Haven we both feel comfortable leaving with her. Her skills are amazing and when I pick up my little one she is absolutely beautiful. I have filled Haven during the last eight years from Petsmart to here. She is well worth it. I am so dissatisfied. I took my mini schnauzer here to be groomed as per usual and my usual groomer, Molly wasn't available. She saw a different groomer, Anne I think, and it was terrible! She is shaved damn near to her skin in some places, not even touched in others. I will have to wait a couple of months for this mess to grow out before it can be fixed. Totally disappointed! Just got Leo groomed for the first time and I am SO pleased! My dog is happy, I am happy! The experience was amazing from start to finish, he was so comfortable, and picking him up he was so happy. Love this place!! When I'm in Oregon this is the only place I'll take my Pomeranian for his lion cut. I'm really specific with how I like his mane and tail and they always nail it. I don't even have one groomer I request bc I've been happy with all his cuts. He already comes back to me looking dapper, smelling fresh, and rocking a new bandana. I think the girls get bows. Worst place to take your animal. Please be very careful. Anywhere is better then this place to be honest. Groomers are super rude. I went there for my first time and it took them 5 hours to get my dogs haircut. It was the worst haircut I have ever seen on my loved one. Nothing I asked for, not even close. When my wife came in, they brought out the wrong dog to her as well. Super disorganized and unprofessional. The worst part was when we picked him up we put him in the back of the car, once we got home we noticed a pool of blood coming from his nails and they even nicked him on his belly and we had to take him to the emergency care. PLEASE TAKE YOUR ANIMAL ELSEWHERE. The prices are high, the groomers don't have a clue what there doing, and the owners should close shop. Petsmart or petco are way cheaper and I've never had any problems there. read more

We've had great service here and not so great service. One groomer did a perfect cut on our pup- and even wrote notes for us. Last time we went back and our guy was hacked up and uneven. His nails weren't even trimmed. Seems the groomer this time didn't bother looking at notes. Also, even though our pup has a short cut for the summer, we're still being charged $65/ cut. IMO not worth it when all we need is a face trim and a pawdicure. If we do come back here, I'll be sure that our grooming notes are reviewed, and that we are very specific. read more

My dogs have never been scared or had anxiety of a groomer before. After the last visit both of my dogs were skidish and showed physical signs of anxiety but figured it was a one off experience. Make an appointment over a month ago and when they are dropped off it was clear they were low priority even with an appointment. After waiting 2 hours called for an update to find out my dogs had been left in a crate the entire time no access to go potty and no access to water and they had not started there baths or anything. I then went immediately to pick up my dogs where one was physically cowering, ears down, and pulling lead to exit the door while whining to leave. The other they had tried to speed through a bath and was turned over to me soaking wet still where I then drove to Petco for a towel to dry them off. Terrible treatment and terrible staff the new manager seemed to not care at all about the situation as if it's normal occurrence. Do not recommend! read more

The one photo isn't even justice. He is completely butchered, essentially, with a guard. I wanted him shaved with a guard and yes he's got thick hair but there is no excuse that this is how he was sent home rather than smoothed and evened out. He has several spots (4/5) that were completely missed and not even shaved or left 3/4 inches long while he's supposed to be ONE INCH all over his whole body. His butt was shaved so far down that it's blood red, rash, and he's dragging himself all over the carpet and crying because it hurts and itches. He is going to the vet over this, per the veterinarians request. He was basically handed off to us and a "have a good night". Not a how is it? Was the service good? Is the haircut okay? Nothing. Here's your dog, bye, is basically how it was. I have given this establishment more chances than I can count because they are supposed to be legitimately trained groomers and not just those "I read a book and cut dogs hair" groomers but after yet another useless $80 and awful, awful haircut we will not be returning. There is no excuse as to why he wasn't evened out or smoothed out to one inch and was sent home like the photo attached ALL over his body. I even spent 10 minutes consulting with a lady that wasn't his groomer about how I wanted the cut and what was different from the last cut and she was writing it all down. I have to go pay someone else yet again to fix the embarrassing mess. So ashamed and let down and absolutely no excuse for it. To me, it's a hack job that was done while rushing to get probably 2-3 more dogs done in the same time frame before closing in less than 2 hours and she doesn't work until 2pm. How can she successfully groom a dog during her shift that is 3 hours? When she has 4 dogs to do which is what seems to me is happening. That's overbooking her and not allowing her to spend enough time per client for the money their owners are spending without being rushed to get them all done. We went from waiting 4+ hours on a shear cut to be done on him previously to not even 3 hours for a rushed hack job? We truly hope this is an issue that is addressed and fixed so that other clients don't get sent home to their owners in this condition.
