They offer day training half and full days for dogs and full service grooming. I do the afternoon walk in for dremmel nail ($20) with Alissa since she's amazing. Had the worse experience dog grooming. Explained what I wanted and figured it would be followed. Was called half way through and said if I didn't call within 20 minutes she would do what she wanted or I could pick the dog up already cut at different lengths. Saved the voicemail never talked to like that from a business. Dog was butchered. No hair left on tail. face cut all wrong according to the breed. After 41/2 hours picked up my stressed dog. I am taking trick class with Dazi. Her son Lucas is helping her out. They are nice team. She is very friendly instructor who gives lots of encouragements without being pushy at all. In practice time in the classroom, she is watching you and your dog and gives pin-point advise which is very helpful. I was afraid to come to this dog training school because previous bad reviews about some instructor and overall management but I have no complains so far, except they can ventilate little better to get rid of doggy smell (well this is doggy place). read more

Alyssa (hope I spelled your name right) did an amazing job grooming my corgi mix. Hands-down the best grooming experience I've had so far. My dog has never looked so good at any other grooming services she's had (other places, Pet Smart, etc.). My dog has long hair on her hind legs, pants, and they always look a little botched, but Alyssa did such a perfect and detailed job. My dog Chloe is so fluffy, trimmed to absolute perfection, and is so full of energy because I know she had an amazing experience with Alyssa. Thank you Alyssa! read more

Took me a few times to figure it out but PupARazzi has absolute horrible practices. Not to mention the rudest staff I have ever come across. I have heard story after story of just how terrible this business is. Believe what you hear! On an additional note, Buster & Lily's (one location on Hwy 99 in Tigard and another on Cedar Hills Blvd) offers wonderful doggy day care. I absolutely LOVE this place. About 12 years ago I went here for dog training with my little lap-dog; the training was wonderful and the class was fun--my husband and I learned a lot! Fast forward to the last year, we got a vizsla pup (Maggie). Vizsla's are very high energy, so we have taken full advantage of the services that Pup-A-Razzi offers. We have taken Puppy Basics I & II (both classes were great), and we recently finished "Surviving the Terrible Teens," which was also a very positive experience. We have done the Saturday socials, which I highly recommend, because a trainer helps manage the pack, and offers great advice while all the owners stand around chatting and watching the dogs play. I finally decided I needed some daycare action for my very active pup, so I got us set up with the day training. I can't say enough good things about the day training service. Not only does Maggie LOVE going to puppy school (that's what I call it), it's the only thing that will finally wear her out. The trainers are so caring, friendly, and personable, I feel confident leaving her there. Also, I did comparison shopping before deciding up Pup-A-Razzi, and if you purchase their multi-visit packages, the prices are in line with other doggie daycares, but they also provide midday training for the dogs, which is not typical for doggie daycare. I have noticed the extra training has helped with some of Maggie's challenges, like jumping and pulling while on the leash. I have recommended this place to friends, and have done so with confidence. It's a great place, and I have always found the staff to be warm and friendly. (We haven't had need for the grooming services, so I can't speak to those.) read more

This is my second and last time coming to this place. They get one star because that's the lowest I can go but also for decent grooming. Other than that, the employees are rude and unprofessional. My husband walked into this business literally to hear the staff talking crap about us. I dropped my dogs at 11, and my husband came in before 5 to pick my dogs up for me. The groomer called me sometime after 2 to tell me my dogs were done and I told her I won't be able to get them for about 1 1/2 hours. Life happens, and I had an emergency, so I asked my husband to get the dogs after work. So yes, I was a little late but never have I been shamed for leaving my dogs for as long as I did. The woman gave my husband attitude and told him that our dogs have been there since 11. Yes, thanks for telling us like we didn't know. She acted like we were abandoning our dogs. This same woman rung my husband up and did it incorrectly (which he didn't know about because he was given a receipt to sign) so when she realized it was done wrong, she began rambling blaming it on him and GRABBED his card out of his hand and tried to swipe it again without his approval. Since he already signed a receipt, he was hesitant about that, so my husband asked her to wait while he checked his bank statement to see if it was charged. She rolled her eyes and acted annoyed with him once again. I carried my dogs in when I dropped them off, so I didn't have a leash for them. That woman asked my husband if he had any leashes for them, and he told them no. She goes "well they need to be on leashes." Again, treating him like he was stupid. I always carry my dogs in because I know how scared they are going into groomers. When I took them into other groomers, those groomers would have their own leashes to use on the dogs and give my leash back. My last complaint about today is about the fact that my dogs came home parched. They ran straight to their water bowl breathing heavily like they were dehydrated. The groomer told me that they'd be kenneled together and I was okay with that, but I would at least expect them to be decent and give my dogs water while they waited for me. Usually I would trust that my dogs would be treated humanely while they are waiting for me to pick them up, but apparently, they just acted like having them for a few more hours was a huge inconvenience. My first experience wasn't the greatest either, but I met my groomer through a moms group on facebook and wanted to give her business. She was great, but the other staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. When I was walking in, there were two employees just hanging out in front of the store smoking by the trash can. There was no other way I would've been able to walk in without walking through their cloud of smoke while holding my toddler. When I got in, the trainers looked lazy and hardly looked like they were doing any type of training, and the lady at the front desk was just unpleasant. Speaking with the "why am I even here" tone. I wish I got names because the two groomers that I worked with were sweet, but the rest of the staff just walked around and talked like they hated their jobs. I won't be coming back, and I suggest you find a different groomer too. There are plenty of other groomers who charge as much as they do but have much better customer service and actually treat your dogs with love. I usually to the groomers in Natures Pet on Murray Hill. I only tried this place because it's closer to my, but I'd happily drive past for better service and to know that my dogs are treated well when I'm not there. read more

I went into pup a razzi to wash my recently adopted 7 month old pup. I used to go there a lot with my previous dog to wash him as he was pretty tough to wash in our tub at home. When I walked In was a customer at the counters she was taking kind of a long time so the gal behind the counter asked if I was her for a self wash, nail trim, etc and I said both. She saw that my pup was a bit nervous just standing there so told me to just go ahead and get started. Very nice. I was having a tough time getting him up the steps and one of the groomers immediately asked if I wanted help and cam right over to assist getting him into the tub. When I was finished she came over and clipped his nails. He has had one other trim and was pretty scared, but she made him comfortable and he didn't even try to pull away. She really was pleasant and seemed to enjoy her job. Her name was Lauren and I will make sure she is there when I need to go back for a nail trim. I really appreciated her smile and customer service. Where to even start...I signed up for the foundations agility class full of excitement because my American Pitbull Terrier loves agility and it really helps him build his confidence (he's a rescue). Upon first arriving I made the mistake of entering the wrong door, because none of them are labeled, and immediately was yelled at for interrupting a class in progress from the trainer. Trust me if I would have know I was about to get scolded I would have chosen another door. I had a feeling she would be the same lady that was teaching the class I signed up for and sure enough she was. At that point if it wasn't for the semi-friendly lady running the receptionist desk I would have left (and I should have.) Now my dog has taken several agility classes before in other states and even though he is not food motivated he still excels due to the fact that he loves his ball. At the very beginning of the class I informed the trainer (Rise) that my dog was not motivated by treats and would be working with a toy. Her response to this was that it was MY FAULT that my dog was not food motivated...I couldn't believe she actually said that. I've had my dog since he was 4 months old and even though he eats regularly he is just never interested in treats (I have even tried steak!) After brushing that off we got started on our first activity, Rise came around to each person and explained what to do. Now when she cam to me and my pup we were told to watch how the rest of the class was doing it and then figure out our own methods since we were using a toy. Coming from a trainer that is awful instructions, are you not versatile in the sense that you can give tips to people that are working with dogs that learns differently? Why did I pay money for a class I would just have to teach myself? Since I myself am a dog trainer I used my own tricks to go about doing the activities. After the class I went straight to the receptionist and let her know the class was not suited for us, she informed me that she would leave a note for the owner to get in contact with my to discuss a refund. I waited all day the next day and ended up leaving 2 other messages for the owner to return my call, finally I called and she happened to pick up. She apologized and let me know that Rise told her she had informed me that she was willing to work with me and my dog, I had to correct her on what Rise actually said to my face and she seemed a little surprised (big shock). Even though I did sign a contract stating that class fees were non-refundable the owner did write me a check for my class fee, that's about the only positive thing that came form my experience here. All in all Rise is a wicked woman who should not be around animals or people for that matter. I was completely offended just listening to her talk to the other ADULTS in the class. Its amazing they are still in business. Not to mention even if you don't like a specific breed such as pitbulls at least treat them the same as everyone else in the class. read more

I discovered this wonderful place from a Google search. It's a little off the beaten path but it is well worth the effort. The staff are super friendly. After stating that I wanted to wash our puppy, I was given a basket of towels at a wash station. I appreciated the preset temperature for the water and the shampoos and conditioners to choose from. The dryers are perfect and work very well. An overall excellent self-service at a very affordable price. I highly recommend this business. read more

I have been using this place for years. The past 2 years I noticed a turn for the worst with regards to the groomers, trainer and Rude/nasty spirited OLD lady at the counter. They will say anything even to the point of flat out lying to get you to sign up for classes take your money then once you have paid you are treated badly/as well as your dog, the so called employees take on the attitude if you don't like it too bad your not getting your money back. The so called groomer (short chunky girl with short black hair), talk about un professional and flat out cruel. I walked in late morning to drop off my dog for grooming and she was talking about how most dogs in training need to be drugged instead of trained. She then went on to say she cant stand most of the #$%$ hole dogs she deals with and their owners. I was so disgusted by what I hurd I turned around and walked out have not and will not EVER return . My advice is if you care for your dog stay clear of this place! Seriously shocking they are still in business. terrible.... read more

Used the "self wash" for my dog. Get there early so there's less competition with the groomers. Only tub open was dirty and the groomers were taking up the other tubs. Groomers were placeholding the drying tables so my large dog had to fit on the smaller table. Shampoo is watered way down so don't feel bad using a ton of it. Finally there was mention about a tip when I was paying. I washed the dogs myself and literally everything involved with that is built into the price. What exactly would I tipping for? read more

Nice facility for all your doggie maintenance and training needs. Locally owned and operated and clearly by people with a heart for dogs. My family and I just adopted a dog a month or so ago. We took her her to use their self service wash. Easy and not too expensive with all you 'd need to do the job provided including shampoo, towels, blowers, sinks, etc... They also provide an indoor play park, training classes and a very small selection of merchandise. The young man working the desk looked to be in his late teens and he clearly did not want to help me understand the store. I had to drag information out of him of where the wash stations were, when I should pay, etc... but he seemed mostly like a bored kid with his first job then someone who was truly being rude. read more

Communication is poor - the trainer told me specifically to take a certain class while the front desk told me not to. I ended up taking the class, but often people did not show and there were only 1 or 2 dogs which doesn't provide a distracting environment to practice in. In addition, classes don't start on time and you have to wait outside the building until you are told you can come in, regardless of weather. The agility prep course is always full time after time and yet is only held once per week for 6 weeks. I was told "Check back in about six weeks to see if we are going to follow it up with another." I've tried that, guess what it's already full. At the very least I should have been offered the wait list. When I asked if I could test out to move to foundations (the next agility class which is frequently open) since my dog is a service dog and highly obedient, they replied "It IS preparation for agility. It is not covered in other classes." While that may be true that the exact class is not offered anywhere else, it certainly doesn't mean that the things mastered in the class cannot be learned elsewhere. It is due to all of these things that I will no longer be attempting to take classes at Pup-a-Razzi in Beaverton. read more

It has been a little bit since I lived in Portland and took my standard poodle to Pup-A-Razzi, but it has been on the back of my mind to write a review about them since my experience there was so terrible. We attended the foundations in agility training with Risë Quay, and I can easily say it was easily one of the worst purchases I have ever made. For someone who trains dogs for a living, Risë is impatient, has a very sour personality, and appears to take pleasure in frustrating dogs and their owners. We learned absolutely ZERO agility tricks...most of the class was spent learning trivial garbage such as how to walk around a cone VERY VERY slowly and jumping up onto the owner (which is very bad practice I might add since it took my dog several months to break the habit of jumping on me after Risë told us to do this in class). Additionally, I was astounded how Risë would contradict herself. She would tell us to approach training one way and then get irritated with us for doing it the exact way she told us. When my dog was not meeting her standards at one point in class, she came over and started barking commands at her. Of course, my dog had no clue what the commands meant and ended up rolling over on the ground in frustration. I don't know that much about agility training, but I do know that is NOT an effective way to train a dog. Lastly, I'll add that any normal person would lock the side entrance into the training room so customers of the next class would know to use the front door. Not Risë....she would leave the door unlocked and then scream at well-meaning customers that they were interrupting her class when they mistakenly used the side door. Overall, this class was a huge waste of money. After the 4th class, I stopped attending and started looking up youtube agility videos instead. read more

I went in for the first time today. My husband and I just moved to the area and our 3 dogs were sorely in need of baths so we figured we'd give this place a try. I took 1 dog to start off in and was greeted warmly by the women working at the counter. They had a good shampoo selection and it was easy to bath and dry my dog. I was able to run back home and get the other 2 dogs in that same day. The women working there was very helpful and understanding of me running back and forth to get different dogs. The price for all 3 of them was very reasonable too. I will definitely be making this a regular spot to come back to read more

Pup-A-Razzi staff were amazing to work with. We have a 3 year old Aussie that can be a handful during grooming. We called and scheduled an appointment for a "tidy". He had some dreadlocks on his legs and dried sap knots on his chest from playing at doggie daycare. The groomer was great with him and he came out looking wonderful and very happy. I've taken my dog to this groomer twice. I almost did not bring her here due to the reviews which is why I'm giving my review today. I originally went to see another highly rated groomer. I dropped off my dog and because my dog has anxiety and will snap... they weren't able to groom her. On a whim I decided to go to Pup A Razzi. I'm so glad I did. My dog is still extra cautious going in and is very nervous but Kristine (Christine?) does a fantastic job with her and tells me she has no issues with her. This morning (approx 915 am) while waiting for my coffee at the coffee kiosk in the parking lot, I witness an employee hitting a lab and dragging the lab by his leash in the parking lot. I called Pup-A-Razzi and the employee who answered said "okay, I will let him know". There was zero concern for the safety of the animal. I repeated this several times only to sense there was no concern about her employee hitting another person's pet. I hung up and reported the incident to Beaverton Police Department. read more

This place is the only place outside of our home/back yard that our dog has been to in the last 3 weeks. Sad state of affairs. First of all, the most disturbing thing is they have an abusive "trainer" working there. Rise Quay is her name and she's the old one. She treats the groomers as lower rank employees even though she herself is nothing more than an employee. While grooming my dog (I was the only on there along with the hired groomers), I witnessed her enter the room where the grooming tables are and there was a dog in a crate that barked at her. She KICKED his crate hard, and angrily told him to "shut up". I was shocked, and the groomers were too scared to say anything. I also overheard her speaking a derogatory manner about a dog that was being left there for some sort of training purpose. He was an English Bulldog, and is owner was not around to hear her. I let her know what I thought when it came time for me to leave. She didn't take to it too well but she needed to hear it from someone...You DON'T kick a dogs crate because they don't happen to like you. How is that behavior any way positive reinforcement? Too much ego. I can see why he barked at her, and for doing what she did---I barked at her too but Rise wasn't about to kick me. Makes me wonder how mean she is when NO ONE is looking? Their self service grooming...The location is convenient for me but I'll never go back. Besides being dirty (shampoo basins dirty while mean "trainer" sat at front desk) they got rid of half of their grooming supplies (no rakes, no scissors, no nail clippers, just dirty combs) they give you 2 old towels that you must ration out. I need 2 towels at least for drying (my dogs have hair!), and one for the table that they stand on while I work. They want another dollar per towel! ***Go to Dog Gone Clean if you want to do your own grooming. You have as may towels as you need, combs brushes, rakes, scissors, clippers. Plus they are even friendly. And finally--- To the customer that is trustingly leaving your personal rake at Pup-a razz, the owner is handing it out to other customers to use while you aren't' there....because they wont get any of their own. read more

Yikes. I wished I had remembered to check yelp before I took my lab here to be groomed! We have gone to Petsmart for years and since I was getting my hair cut a few doors down, I thought I'd give them a try for convenience sake. True to others, I couldn't tell which door to enter, and when I did go in, I was not greeted, but felt like I was walking into a wrong business. Half of the lights were off (they said it was the dogs nap time) and though I had an appointment, I felt like an intruder. The grooming itself was good, and not any cheaper (though they said it wold be) but the attitude of the groomer was AWFUL! We usually hear how well our dog did, and they absolutely love her laid back personality at Petsmart (unless they tell everyone that) we've never had a complaint. We get our dog shaved and the groomer immediately said "just look at me, look at all of this fur I have all over me! Now I have to go ALL DAY with this stuff on me!" and I thought she was joking..I mean. you are a groomer, aren't you used to having dog fur on you?? Then she continues, "your dog is AWFUL! I tried to cut her nails and she is the worst dog in the world." I was stunned. I have never heard a list of complaints regarding our sweet senior dog. The groomer was so obviously irritated and angry, and our dog was so very anxious to run out the door (also never happens). Needless to say, there is no killer Groupon in the world that would ever entice me to return. read more

took our dog to the area dog park on Friday and he was SOOOO filthy that we didn't even want to bring him back home until we got him bathed. our usual place wasn't open so we took him here. it's also a training facility, which was packed, but the wash part was pretty empty with only one other dog getting bathed. we had to ask a few questions about the different types of shampoos and were a little annoyed that the woman helping us didn't know which one was safe for the dogs face. they also only had one table that was long enough to dry our dog on (he's about 50 lbs), so we had to wait for the other lady to finish with hers, then I had to clean off all the dog's hair. the place got the job done and we left with a clean and happy dog (even though the area around his face is still a bit greasy because we didn't want to use an irritating shampoo there). honestly, the only reason I'm giving them the extra star (I'd rate it around a 2.5) is because they support Project POOCH, the place where we adopted our dog. read more

My husband and I have taken my little rescue dog, Melody to Pup-a-razzi since we got her in 2015, she had been poorly socialized and requires special handling and medication for her anxiety. In spite of her challenges we have been able to trust the staff there to care for her kindly and have never worried about her safety or mental/physical health while there for her weekly play sessions. I am disturbed at the recent false allegations and online bullying directed against the business. As a fellow animal care business owner I empathize with business owners who have little recourse especially on a platform like Yelp which really does not care what is true and what is BS. We've been taking our dog Cinnamon to Pup-A-Razzi for several months now. Cinnamon is a rescue dog and was not comfortable with other dogs or strangers in general. The staff there has been wonderful in working with her. Dazi and Joseph are usually her trainers. Dazi always has great suggestions which are very helpful. Our dog loves going there and we are certainly very thankful to have a safe and caring environment for Cinnamon. I also would like to mention that the staff has been very accommodating with my crazy schedule and always willing to change weekdays for me as needed. read more
