Lots of toys, beds and treats. They have an ok selection of fish which I always cruise through when I go in. They also have vetinary services, dog training and grooming. Good overall service level. I only shop in the fish and reptile sections of the store but the staff is always helpful and educated. The free water testing is nice if my at home kit isn't up to the job. They always have stock in supplies, food, accessories, etc. The fish selection isn't always great and I have lost a couple of fish over the years. I assume they were purchased in poor health. Overall, good success rate though. Very similar experience in the reptile department. Never lost a reptile purchased from here. Petsmart is a solid choice for all your basic pet needs. read more

My experience here has always been great. My fiancé and I just started going not too along ago when we got our puppy Taz. But I wanted to put the spotlight a little on one of their cashiers today. They're all so friendly in general and welcoming but Natassia in particular was so wonderful today she had such amazing energy to her. She was so helpful, informative, and friendly. She let us know about discounts and made us aware of peanuts in one of the dog treats for our puppy without us having to ask her, just to make sure we we aware of it and that we weren't allergic and even though we aren't allergic just that right there was impressive it shows how much she cares about customers and about doing her job right. I think people like this deserve more recognition considering not everyone is always as eager to offer customer service the way she did. read more

Overall this location is good. Had an issue once with the grooming dept though. Had called to make an appointment, then later realized that I needed to change it. So called to have my appointment moved to another day. Was told that it was moved and I was good for the new date and time. Show up on that day/time and was told that they didn't have me down for an appointment. I brought updated shot records and everything. I was very upset about this. They said that the soonest they could schedule my puppy was the following week. It was a big waste of my time, whoever I talked to over the phone about rescheduling my appointment clearly deleted the appointment I set for my puppy. The grooming salon gets 3 stars in my opinion, because of has customer service. Aside from that, I love this store. They have clearance sections for cute doggy clothes that I love to raid. And for Christmas they took a picture of you and your dog if you donated. The pictures came out adorable!! My puppy had fun taking pictures and running around the store. My daughter-in-law had an interview with the manager Nicole. She was the most rude and unprofessional person. She made her sit for 15 minutes before even acknowledging that she was there. Then she says that her interview was scheduled for a different day and it actually didn't even matter because the position was filled. Today I took my two dogs for grooming. After more than an hour, I received a call from the store manager that the groomer accidentally cut a small part of Molly's right ear! The store Manager Ryan was so apologetic and gave me updates as Molly was in the next room (clinic) for treatment. We all know for a fact that accidents happen and that no one can predict it. Katie (one of the mangers) is amazing!! My husband and I just got a new puppy and we needed a few things. I was in the store less then 5 min, wondering in the aisles, kinda clueless about what I needed, when Katie approached me and asked if I need help. I told her I just got a new puppy and I need to replace a toy she ripped up, sign her up for puppy classes and get a few things. Katie stayed with me during the entire shopping trip, giving me advise (wow is she super knowledgeable) on what products I needed, going with me to different areas of the store to get them, and she even found the monkey toy I needed!!! She helped me save money by recommending the booklet with coupons and then she went through it with me to help me pick the items that worked with the coupons. She was so friendly the entire time that I felt like I was shopping with a friend. She charged the door to get to the treats last visit. Today she patiently waited for her treat and the young cashier had to b asked for the treat even though my little girl was politely begging. One wasn't enough and my little girl wouldn't leave. I asked if she could have a second treat and was refused. My dog has never been refused before!!! I will never take my dog there again! Today my 16 1/2 year old Jack Russell who is 80% blind and deaf went to have his nails trimmed. My husband told the groomer that he was abused in his previous life before we adopted him and he is extremely fragile with permanent injuries to his body. The groomer pulled on his little feet and legs and he wiggled around. The groomer was too busy chatting with another groomer across the room that my little old man wiggled his way out of the neck leach and fell 4 feet to the hard floor. I witnessed all of this happening as I approached the viewing window of the grooming room. As I rushed over to him the groomer said" sorry, he wiggled out of his neck leash 3 times". ( I only witnessed this one escape since we were walking around the store shopping as we were told it would be about 10 to 15 minutes until they were done) I took him right over next door to the vet to have him examined. Thank God, no broken bones. As of this moment he walks with a shoulder limp, holds up his back right leg and has a head tilt. He is on pain meds and I hope tomorrow will be a better day for him. Groomers should NOT be allowed to EVER look away from their animal to talk to another groomer about their personal life because this could easily happen at any time to any size animal. Petsmart grooming dept has our phone number on file and six hours later from incident we have not even received a phone call checking on his health since his fall. Shame on Petsmart !!! DO NOT GROOM YOUR PETS HERE. It is a complete waste of money. We brought our two dogs to get the deluxe grooming here and they called us in 15 minutes to tell us they were ready. We couldn't believe how they were supposed to give them a bath, express their glands, dry them, clean their teeth, clean their ears, and cut and buff their nails in that short amount of time. When we saw our dogs, they smelled wet and not fresh/clean. Their ears were both still very dirty. Their teeth were definitely not cleaned. I asked if they expressed the anal glands and they said "a little bit". The anal glands were dark and looked dirtier than before. It was very disappointing for the amount of money it cost. The manager gave us $12 off the service for the inconvenience so it cost $44. Such a waste of money. Not to mention, we had to come home and do the job all over again. We will never come back here again. If you are looking for quality groomers, I highly recommend you find another place. read more

We've been bringing our Yorkiepoo here since we got him a few years ago. The grooming is usually pretty good, he's almost always cut a little too short but he grows into it pretty quickly. The reason for the 2 stars is the customer service and appointment management. It seems like I can never just make an appointment and let that be the end of it. They always have to call me and try to move the appointment earlier, later, or another day. Today they called me and told me my dog was the only appointment that our groomer had and therefore, she would not be coming in today. Well if that's the case, why was that date/time even a booking option? And how is it any of my business or concern how many other appointments a groomer has that day? If a certain date and time is an option for an appointment, then I should be able to select that date and time and be done with it. There really shouldn't be any reason for the staff to call me and try to change it. If the groomer doesn't want to come in for just one appointment, then she probably needs to open up her own business and run it however she sees fit. read more

All the groomers that my 2 Goldendoodles have had in the past, they did a fine job. Mine is a simple cut no fancy face, tail cut. I just ask cut short due to the heat and the brush they pick up from the yard. last grooming trip was with Cynthia, she did a fine job, but charged me $ 20 extra for matting of the hair, no other groomer ever charged me that. Charging me extra, then I'm forced to leave no tip. My tip is aways $20 dollars. Im out $ 40 dollars on top of my $ $200 for the cuts.......$240 dollars is to much. I will not tip if you add on extras, can't afford it. I made my appointment, and asked not to have Cynthia as the other groomers do not charge me extra. read more

The lady was nasty, rude and told my sister, and she refuses to talk to minors. When I walked in my sister was mortified. I told the lady, that my appointment is at 8:45. My husband and I recently purchased Neon Tetras, and we didn't notice until we arrived home that one of them seemed off. His eyes were bulging, and he kept his distance from his fellow friends. Yes, we could have paid closer attention before we left the store, but we trusted the employee and went about our day. The fish was twitching, keeping his distance, and his color was fading, and by the next day, he was unfortunately dead. We called PetSmart and were told to bring him back "Dead," they would do an exchange. We arrived, and the person helping us knew nothing about fish. We explained what happened, and he insisted that we probably did something wrong or it was our water, which is not the reason as our other fishes that we own are still living and are healthy! It took him about 10-15 minutes to catch one fish. We asked if we could get another fish for free, and he denied our request after all we went through the driving and the lousy service. We still decided to get another fish even if we had to purchase it, but we regretted that as it took him another 10-15 mins to catch one, so we decided to stay with one. We went to do an exchange, which took them another 10-15 minutes because they were charging us extra for an exchange. Why are we paying when they sold us a sick fish? The service from all three employees we came across that night was awful. Hopefully, things can start changing, and they can get trained to do their job and better customer service. read more

Ok so I want to thank the pet smart team here in Temecula Bc I had bought a new 36 gallon aquarium at another location and it was cracked when I got it home. The crack was hiding under the paper, anyway I called to get it switched out and they totally held the tank and switched it out so easily and even helped me wheel it out to the car. I really don't want to write this. But I've been a customer of PetSmart for about 10 years and have brought my dog Lilo to their grooming salon for the same amount of time. Half of her grooming have been in San Francisco and the other half have been in Escondido and Temecula. After moving to Temecula in 2014 I started bringing my dog Lilo to this location to get groomed. I was always happy with the service and my dog came back happy, pampered and looking super nice. Her main groomer was this big Polynesian (?) guy. (He looked like a mix of Chumlee from Pawn Starts and Skinny Pete from The Italian Job.) Anyways, Lilo adored him and he seemed to be a rockstar at his job. After he left, things changed. Both of my dogs were dragged in behind the counter after other dogs were being carried. I was scolded at like a child and basically told its their policy to drag dogs in. I was shocked. Lilo was never dragged in before - if she was I wouldn't have come back. I have proof (photos and videos) of Lilo being handed off and carried into the back. My sweet girl is not viscous - simply anxious and would never hurt a fly. Things changed after people started accusing PetSmart of shaddy behavior in the grooming salon. (Apparently, some dogs have died...?) And how they treat you seems to be a direct reflection of that. I want to give a thumbs up to their management though. The store manager on duty comped our groom and another called us to follow up on the situation. The silly part? I was raving about you salon for years. Urging my mom to bring her shelter dog and started to bring my other senior dog as well. I understand policy is policy. But don't yell at your customers that they are being recorded and meanwhile another dog in literally being carried in the back. While picking up Lilo I saw dogs be carried a handful of time which made me snap. Your red-headed associate needs customer service training or should be strictly used for grooming instead of interacting with clients because she will be the reason that pet parents go to Petco instead. Which is sadly, where Lilo will be going for now on. read more

Beware of adopting animals from petsmart. I adopted a 7 month old cat in good faith and it turned out this cat has severe dental issues where all the teeth need to be pulled. This will cost thousands of dollars. The adoption people had to be aware of this issue with the cat, yet they adopted her out anyway. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. read more

On good friday evening my dog had the appointment when he left our homes was healthy good puppy active So when we get came out and got the puppy? About 15 minutes they came back out and told us our puppy not gonna make it. So I believe they give my dog a shot and he reacts to it. But they did not told us that because they know there's a big lawsuit. And they gave us our dog was very weak could even walk so I carry him in my arms when I got to the parking lot there was blood coming out. His mouth and poop from his bottom. So I took my dog back in and tell him. He's bleeding from his mouth so they took the dog back from us and taken back and put him on oxygen that did not help him my dog die. I was there just watching him fighting for his breath on oxygen he was suffering. I will not take my dog back to that vet petsmart That is not Good vet over there. My dog name was Kai. I have been taking my dogs to Petsmart since we moved here two years ago. But last week in desperate need because my maltipoo was so dirty I agreed to let him be washed by another groomer, since my main groomer was not in. I take my fur baby and drop off. I get a call within 20 minutes from Lily that his one ear is matted and she will not wash him unless I agree to have his ear shaved down tsp skin. She goes on to tell me she is uncomfortable washing him and brushing. My only two choices is to pick him up or let her shave his one ear . SERIOUSLY LILY! Your only solution is to shave my dogs ears off. It's pure lazy and not even attempting. Don't got to lily - lazy worker. And the male manager was not even finding a solution. He was only looking for an easy way out & kept saying "he has to assess what's best for my pet" and that shaving what's best for the dog. Just pure laziness. My main groomer has never called me with issues . Ever. And btw - they didn't tell me that LILY had already started to trim my dog and they kept quiet even after my husband picked up. So I asked the older lady who owns the puppies and are trying to adopt them out show big the puppies will get. She then very rudely replied how would I know idk who got her pregnant as if I was to know she didn't know the dad! I then tell her that I was interested in the puppy for my grandfather because he lost his companion and she told me that she don't adopt to old people! They offer no contact curbside pick up which is so very helpful as we have health issues and have to isolate. Makayla was kind, patient, and informative. I appreciated her taking good care of Audara, despite her unwillingness to comply with bath time. I am very disappointed with the way they handled this situation. I stood in line waiting for the customer in front of me to check out. There was an issue on the price of one of her items, so she was told to go back and take a picture of the price and come right back. You could see this customer wondering around the store to try and figure out where she eventually picked up the item. Meanwhile more customers are standing in line waiting and waiting and waiting to check out as this customer is wandering around the store. I left my goods on the counter and left the store. There has got to be a better way to handle situations like this than to have everyone wait in line until sometime tomorrow when the customer finally figures out where she picked up the item. read more

Placed an order online to pick up in store and have been waiting for hours. I have attempted to use this before and had to wait until the next day for the e-mail to state it was ready. I called their corporate number and they told me it is a store issue. It may be true, but I have had to wait way too long at 3 different stores for similar items. I try to use this service as the prices are on average $5 cheaper for a bag of food. Popular brands are usually low in stock or none at all. UPDATE: Store closed almost 2 hours ago, no e-mail. Order was 10 hours ago. They also claim, "If you placed your order less than 2 hours before closing time, it'll be ready the following business day." I guess I should have ordered 121 minutes before closing time. read more

Can I just say BEST PET STORE in the whole world? Those words don't even do justice! My kids and I found a stray bird that was definitely a pet. We brought it to them late on a Thursday night frantic and totally clueless about birds. They were SO patient and kind. Took a ton of time giving us bird info and helping us pick a perfect cage. It was busy in the store too and yet these 3 workers, managed to actively and wonderfully assist us and still take AMAZING CARE of all the other guests and pets!!! As a former customer service worker I know how many tasks they handle. Yet they multi tasked, spent personal time with each guest, and were professional and thorough throughout the whole time! These particular three are: Supervisor/ assistant Page, Natasya, and Jordan. At one point we put bird in cage and realized it needed a bigger one. They were so nice and not cranky at all about having to return the smaller cage even though we had put it together and all. They were truly concerned about our pet and our experience. We found perfect bigger cage after and everything was just great when we got our birdie all situated at home. My son and I even thought about naming our bird after then! Also, they gave us a handout about our kinda bird which was super helpful. These guys go OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP GUESTS. They should all get praised. I hope corporate knows what a phenomenal store they are! The bar should be set this high for all other stores. They should literally be the model store for PET SMART. Thanks guys! read more

Isaac is any old boy & was a bit traumatized earlier this week having to have 5 teeth extracted and his remaining teeth deep cleared. (We were more them a bit traumatized at the cost for that!)
