I don't know why people are dogging this place (pun intended), but I've always had a good experience here. It's our first dog, so maybe I don't know better...maybe the evil Petsmart corporate folks are scheming something that I don't know about? There's a wide selection in the store and I spoil my dog with the good stuff. I take her here for a nail filing once a month - it's like $10 and it would probably take me much longer if I did it myself. The best part of my experiences have been the service and the return policy. I've always been able to talk to someone who was friendly and willing to help me. I've returned tons of stuff my dog didn't like and there were no questions asked. They even cleaned up the pee when my dog decided to pop a squat...what's there to hate?? read more

We got our fur baby groomed here on a whim. It was very last minute and turned out to be great! Renee was our groomer and took the time to get to know our pup before we left her. It turned out that our dog didn't like the blow dryer and they couldn't do the full grooming package that we asked for, so they didn't charge us! We thought that was fair and we were happy that they didn't force our pup to do anything she didn't want to do. We are very happy and will definitely be back to visit Renee for our next puppy haircut! read more

Ashley G is awesome! I've been taking my mini schnauzer, Ruger, to get groomed with her for a while now. Ruger is high maintenance and Ashley is patient with her. Ruger also seems to like her well enough to give her kisses during her groom. The best part is, Ruger's hair looks great. read more

I have had The Booze Hounds (a Great Pyrenees, the SnowBeast, and a WIGGLY chocolate lab, The Brown Hound) groomed at this location 5 times. I LOVE the service! Everyone that works in this location is very friendly. I've had either Rachael or Sara as my groomers each time I go. Those ladies do a FANTASTIC job! Grooming The SnowBeast is no small task, but the ladies are always so happy to see him. I can tell they genuinely like my dogs and take pride in making them look so good. The dogs come out smelling like heaven, tails wagging, big smiles on their faces. An extra thank you to Sara for today's grooming job! The SnowBeast is getting tested to become a pet therapy animal tomorrow so he has to look his VERY best. I told Sara about the test and she did a super fantastic job! Every single hair on his big, goofy body was perfect, right down to his paws and the fur between the pads of his feet. He looked like a soft, puffy, white cloud and he smelled like a summer day. On the way out of the store we kept getting stopped by other customers so people could pet him and touch him and hug him, he just looked that fantastic! Oh, and I thought his Rock and Roll Bandanna they gave him was a nice touch. When you are that beautiful, its good to have some manly accouterments on! *** Quick Update*** My hound passed the test and all of the judges commented several times on how fantastic he looked. One woman even stopped me after the test to find out who had done the grooming. Out in the parking lot a man stopped his pick up truck to ask about my dog, " He's beautiful! You don't often see a dog that white, that clean," he said. I'm telling you, the groomers at this location do a REALLY good job! read more

I'm not sure if I'm hard of hearing in my "old age" or what but it's impossible to hear you when you mumble something at me. If I have to ask "what's that?" 3 or 4 times it probably means SPEAK UP. I ran in for some dog food today and the kid at the counter was slumped over his register, arms folded. Didn't ask if I wanted help, gave a quick "hey". I grabbed my dog food and checked out which is when the mumbling started. I'm not asking for a red carpet treatment but a smile wouldn't kill you, would it? I feel like asking when the manager works, that's the only time I want to shop here! read more

I took Samuel here today to get his nails trimmed. I had to try out another PetSmart because I didn't like the people at the 35 location. I was a little bit frustrated when I got there because I had to call Banfield myself and get them to release Samuel's vaccine info. It's very odd to me that this location doesn't have a Banfield. This location is much better than the 35 so far. Since this was our first time I'm giving it 3 stars until I we go back another time. There was a lady that greeted me at the desk and told me to call Banfield. I stepped away since it was a bit noisy and a lot of people were coming in and out of the salon. When I walked in there was another lady that was there that was going to verify all the info and get our profile setup. She was much nicer and was the one that did Samuel's nails. I was happy with her and she did a good job. I'm such a terrible puppy mom because I can't consistently keep up with Samuel's nails. I'm looking forward to going back and hoping that we get the same kind and friendly service. read more

I have taken my 2 year old Maltipoo Pucci to PetSmart since he was a little pup. His vet/ grooming services have been provided by them since that time. I took a chance at a different grooming location once and it was a horrible experience my dogs ears were injured by the grooming. (This occurred 1.5 years ago) Since then I have never gone anywhere else but PetSmart. This week I called to schedule an appointment to have my dog groomed. Keep in mind the previous grooming appointment I was told he was fussy which is normal because he is sensitive around ears because of one horrible experience but other than that the said he did well. When attempting to schedule this appt I was rudely told that they would no longer groom my dog because he seems to become stressed when approaching his face/ears area. (This was never mentioned when he was picked up from his last grooming) Pucci never bit/ or scratched them, he would move his face as mostly all dogs do and whine. They basically did not want to have to deal with him. I was taken by surprise by this because like I mentioned he has been going there since he was a little puppy. It is upsetting to have been treated this way after being a loyal customer for so long. read more

I have been using the best groomer ever for 5 years now Rachel she is fantastic she takes care of my little pain in the butt Yorki Super spoiled diva dog. She has so much patience with Riley and love and always doesn't force it just gets it done he always looks beautiful and she also takes care of her big German Shepherd And if ever you've had one of those you know how bad the hair is she gets it all out. I highly recommend her I move to Georgetown recently and still drive back to the petsmart where IKEA is I would follow her anywhere please give her a try I think you'll be impressed she has the patience of a saint thank you Rachel for all you do. read more

I brought my dog here to be groomed at this location for the first time and had a great experience. Making the appointment was an easy phone call and the groomer Cedric was super friendly and did an amazing job! I love the bandanas they put on the dogs and the pawgress reports they send home! After paying, I went back to pick up my dog and Cedric was sitting with her on his lap and petting her. I've never had a bad experience at any petsmart grooming! read more

Today I came in to pick up cat food. One of my cats has been getting sick often and by switching his food to a sensitive stomach food has helped. I wanted to try a different brand to see if it would help even more and as I was looking extremely confused amongst all the cat food options I was approached by Nathan. He was very helpful and helped me fine a new food for our cat. I dislike running errands after work but the customer service from these employees made it bearable! Thanks guys! read more

Aly in grooming is WONDERFUL. I brought my dog in to get her nails trimmed when unfortunately my retriever decided to absolutely freak out. I believe she is stressed as we are in the process of showing our home and moving so a lot of things are changing for her but Aly was very sweet and understanding and actually recommended us coming back to try again. I was beyond mortified with how my dog reacted but Aly (and the rest of the groomers in the shop) were all smiles and even lended a hand out trying to pet our pup to calm her. I cannot say much on how good of a job they do because I was unable to actually get her nails trimmed but as for customer service it's 5 stars from me! read more

Normally my pup, Wasabi, goes to the Petsmart by Lakeline, but they were booked and couldn't fit him in for Saturday. So Wasabi and Rerun (my roommate's pup)thought they would try this location. I am so happy that we did! As soon as we walked in for their appointment, we were greeted right away, even with all the barking from a dog being checked in. Sara was able to get all Wasabi and Rerun's info from our normal Petsmart right away, which I was happy about because I forgot to bring Wasabi's paper work that he was up to date on his shots. Since she had never worked on Wasabi or Rerun before, she came out and introduced herself to them. She bent down and greeted them gently, which they both seemed to appreciate by wagging their tails. She gently picked up Wasabi and took him to the back while petting him, and did the same for Rerun. I thought this was very professional that she took the time out to make sure they were calm. As pet owners know all too well, some dogs do not respond well to going to the groomers and it can be a very traumatizing experience for them. This was not the case at all! Sara was able to finish both Wasabi and Rerun in 2 hours, which she had originally estimated 3 hours. So great, especially for a Saturday! Both pups were perfect, handsome, and happy customers! Wasabi and Rerun will be coming back to see Sara for their next round of haircuts! read more

We took our dog in for a grooming and when we picked her up her ears weren't cleaned and toenails weren't clipped. Normally I would overlook something like this, but the cost was $55 for a 5 pound poodle. Ridiculous. Not to mention the groomer specifically discussed cleaning her ears and clipping her toenails. For this price, I expect much better service. Note - the haircut was fine, but to miss the other things that are standard with all grooming services is unacceptable. We have used other services in the area that are cheaper and more thorough. Won't be taking Boogie back to Petsmart. read more

I haven't done much here beyond bringing my toy shih tzu to their grooming salon. I wanted to post a review because my puppy is beyond difficult to groom around the face - she's a fighter - and every other groomer I've taken her too has done a sloppy, dismal job as a result (understandable, but ... disappointing). The groomers here manage to groom her head/face FLAWLESSLY every time. I love them. I am a a loyal customer at the grooming salon as a result (and my puppy gets excited everytime we walk in the door - so she seems to enjoy the process too). read more

I took my yorkie pup Toby to get groomed and specifically asked the groomer (Angela) NOT to shave him. I asked for a light trim around the body to preserve his puppy coat as well as cleaning around the eyes and trimmed nails. I went to pick him up and my dog's fur was GONE. They shaved him to the point where he is no longer fluffy! Not to mention, he has been here before and did great, but this time I was charged extra because Angela said Toby was "difficult and stubborn" which is very uncommon for my dog. Angela also said that she couldn't trim his nails well when another groomer from the same location trimmed and filed his nails 6 weeks before today. I was expecting to be charged $56 for a puppy bath and brush. Instead, I was charged $90 for "special handling" and a shampoo I DID NOT add to his service. When I complained about his haircut and the charges, Angela told me to make sure I'm more specific so she doesn't get "lost in translation". Today I experienced HORRIBLE customer service and I basically paid almost $100 for a bald dog with untrimmed nails. DON'T bring your pups to this groomer, especially if they are going to have an attitude like Angela's. I don't mean to be rude, but today I was pushed to my limits and she made me feel as if I left my dog there and said "do whatever you want". The "Grooming" Staff is incompetent. I have multiple dogs. I schedule them together to make life easier. They call to cancel one of the dog's appointments. I tell them that I do the appointment together and that if one is canceled then the other must also. The lady on the phone then put me on hold, then the phone call is disconnected. She calls me back again and cannot comprehend that my dogs get groomed together and that she needs to reschedule both of the dogs. I again explain. Again I'm put on hold. Again the phone disconnects. I get another call from the store and I let it go to voicemail. They canceled one of my dog's appointments but not the other. SO thank you Petsmart for wasting my time and still not comprehending that my dogs go in pairs. In the future please hire competent people to actually work at your store instead that can understand simple english. Oh and thank you for wasting an hour of my time while I'm trying to work from home. read more

Warning to dog owners considering using the Pet Hotel services. I left my bulldog her for 4 days this week and when I went to pick him up they made no mention of any issues during his stay. When I arrived home within 15 minutes I noticed that the entire right side of his neck had been rubbed raw and was oozing pus and had dried blood & pus caked in his fur. I immediately contacted the manager and was told that it was from the rubber identification collar they place on dogs in their care. My issue with this situation is that no one bothered to closely monitor my pet to ensure he was okay while he was there and then when they removed the band again, no one bothered to notice and/or inform me of the trouble. Additionally I had requested that a dialy cleaning of the tail area be performed due to ongoing issues and was told that would be no problem. My bullys tail pocket was completely encrusted with secretions causing him obvious discomfort. I should have trusted my instincts after the 1st visit in which my bully came home with a severe rash / outbreak all over his tummy area due to the cleaning chemicals in use at the facility, which again the staff neglected to mention when I picked him up. So pet owners, do your homework to ensure your fur babies are in good hands - this location in my opinion, is not providing top notch care. read more

Normally the grooming department has been very patient with our senior dog. However, we recently had a very bad experience. We have an almost 15 year english springer spaniel. We have been very clear with the grooming department that he needs extra time, that he can't stand the entire time and that we were not concerned with a "perfect" groom but just needed a bath and cut to their best ability considering his age and his lack of ability to stand for long periods. He is a very sweet, easy going senior dog and they could get the majority of the job done while he is laying down. We dropped him off and literally before we could make it home (about 10 minutes later) we got a call to pick him up bc he couldn't stand long enough to groom. My husband turned around to pick him up and they charged us $42 for shaving his back. No bath! No full groom! But $42 for a 5 min back only shave! They did NOT take the time to spend with him to complete the job and then had the nerve to charge us $42. After calling the manager to complain they agreed to refund this amount. However, I will not be using their grooming department for any future needs as this was unacceptable customer service and treatment of senior dogs. read more

I took my dog in to get her nails trimmed and the guy said he had to wait for another employee to get there because he couldnt do it alone..no problem. i waited and then a girl(not in petsmart uniform) came to help. i left my dog and went to get her some food. i hurried back and saw through the window that the girl was YANKING on my dogs leg. I mean jerking her unnecessarily! My dog had a previous injurie on her leg so i ran in and told the girl to please be gentle because of that. She grunted at me and nodded so i walked back out to watch from the window. I pretended to not be looking and Again the girl was yanking my dogs leg roughly and then my dog who until this point was calm..started to yelp and cry. I was getting really upset...then they took my dog down and she was ready to go. I walked her to the check out so i could pay. When i reached for my wallet i noticed a trail of blood...from my dog!!!!! The girl had cut my dogs nails to the quick! causing them to bleed badly! I was in shock and the lady was prompting me to pay...When I said"my dog is bleeding" Then a manager came and took my dog from me(so i could finish paying) and brought her back to the grooming station for something to stop the blood. I quickly paid and went back there. I got a half ass I'm sorry and that was it. I will never bring my dog here again! And unless you like animal cruelty you shouldn't bring yours either! read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! We got the WORST service ever. We have taken our one dog to get groomed at other Petsmart locations and at this location once and had no issues. But this time it was our first time with our 7 month old puppy. When we walked in we weren't greeted with any sort of friendly hello. The women at the computer (I later found out her name was Danya D) just glared at us until we said we had an appointment. Unfortunately, she was the one bathing our puppy. After a rude interaction and her not even looking over our dog at all to consult with us on the services (since this is something we had done at other locations this was frustrating because we don't know what exactly needs to be done we were open to suggestions). Once we got her back we had to bring in our older dog (they are both larger breeds so they couldn't be taken care of at the same time) and she was just as rude if not ruder when we walked in. For our older dog we had booked a bath and fulminator and a teeth brushing, he has a lot of hair and picks up everything outside so we really needed him brushed out. Again Danya just had us sign a waiver and then grab him and pulled him into the back, honestly she was harsh about handling him. She wouldn't give us a time estimate and just told us she would call us when he was done. Approximately 3.5 hours later we finally heard back (which wasn't a huge deal we understood he was large and took time) but when we picked him up it looked like she threw him in water, dried him and brushed him maybe 3 times and thats it!! He still had grass and stickers stuck in his butt fur and mattes behind his ears and on his butt fur!! And he still had huge clumps of shedding fur on his back end!! She did literally nothing!! And we spent over $100 for a half assed job. As soon as we picked him up she ran out the front door to go home (apparently we were holding her back from leaving, which I think plays into a large reason why she cut corners and barley helped us). I have ZERO desire to EVER return to a petsmart for a grooming. I would rather pay more money and get a good job and have my animals treated with respect. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Whoever hired her really made a big mistake, she shouldn't be anywhere near animals I was concerned the whole time my dogs were there that she would neglect them and I would get the most awful call in regards of what she has done to my dog. Never again will we return!! Biggest waste of $200 in my life!!!! Just spend more money and go to a real groomer! read more

REGARDLESS of the bad reviews on here I still took my dog here to get him groomed. I set an appointment at 3 and directly told them he's very hyper. (Melissa) said she'll try her best. 10 mins later after dropping off my toy poodle she called me back and said she couldn't handle my dog today and to come back another day. Which made me very UPSET. I live 30 mins away from here and on top of that there's very bad traffic on the way and back here. As I walked in to pick him up I notice (Melissa) was yanking on the leash roughly to the point my dog couldn't breathe. After I got a hold of him he was having a hard time breathing for almost 5 mins. I felt as if the workers here don't really care much for the dogs. Melissa repeatedly said "sorry" but how can I be happy after what she has done? I called and complain to the manager here and all I got was another sorry ass apology from her. As a pet owner I wouldn't want any other pets to be treated this way, So if you love and care for your pets I recommend taking it to a different pets mart. read more

Don't bring your dog here for the grooming department! I made an appointment a week before to bring in my lab for the bath package. We have been to other locations in the past and had no problems. But this location and employees are horrible! We show up for our appointment and the 1st thing they say is, your here for an express grooming, correct. I tell them no and don't even know what that is. So the girl calls someone else over and she looks at the screen and tells me that the box is checked that I agreed to it. When I tell them I have no idea what they are talking about and have never heard of express grooming, she starts saying because my dog is older that is the only way they will groom her. They tell me it would be 38.99 plus an additional cost to have another person assist since she's old. What the hell. I was not told any of this stuff while booking her appointment. They told me it would 28.99 for the normal bath package, when I booked, just like all the other times I have taken her to other locations, with none of these extra stuff they said I had to do. They told me it was a call center I talked to when I booked and not them. So that means the call center has no idea about anything? Whatever. My dog is old yea but she doesn't have any problems standing by herself, doesn't freak out if we put her a kennel, or anything else they insisted on. What a waste of time I drove 30 min to just have to leave, because i was not paying 20 extra for something i did not want and was not going to deal with those rude employees. They need to get everyone on the same page, so they quit wasting people's time. Go to a different location, dont go to this one! read more

Our dog gets groomed at this PetSmart location and he is always happy to go. He has health issues, but they don't mind that and are very easy to work with. We try to get Rachel every time because she does a great job and she's good with him, but we've occasionally had to schedule with other people there and I've always been pleased. read more
