This may come as a surprise to those that find out we frequent here, but we have no pets! What we do have is a gaggle of little kids and a need for indoor activities! The parking lot is always busy in this shopping center which I know well because of Trader Joe's. You can find parking, but it's very busy and not my preference with a ton of little kids. Petsmart does have a dedicated spot or 2 for online pick up! If you haven't guessed yet - we come for the animals! We typically start with the fish! There is a large wall of them. They aren't all full and sometimes we catch floating fish, but mostly my littles don't notice. They have live crickets, but I'm the only one that notices those. Towards the center are the reptiles, birds, and rodents (at least that's what I call hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs). Finally there are cats for adoption on the other end of the store. They have a dog training area which I have yet to catch dogs being trained, but it's over by the fish! We can kill an easy 20 minutes here and it isn't far from our house. Sometimes they have more for sale than other times and they aren't always the best kept enclosures, but it does in a pinch and it's a lot closer than the zoo and aquarium! Sometimes we run into other parents doing the same thing so I know we didn't invent the idea. But it's a great way to entertain little humans in a pinch! read more

Do yourself a favor and please steer clear of this grooming salon. Some, but not all of the staff, are rude and lack any compassion toward your pet. They also frankly don't groom well any longer. In my experience with this place, the grooming salon, has gone downhill over the years. My only regret is that I didn't find somewhere else a while ago. Recently, I was told my dog was too old and "to not to come back." literally told: do not come back with her unless you want to "visit." The lack civility toward paying customers is honestly astonishing. What's worse is that one of the managers I spoke with about my concerns and corporate PetSmart doesn't seem to even give a damn about any of it. Anyway, all I am saying is that there are plenty of other places to put your hard earned money in order to get your pet groomed well, this place is not one of them. read more

This is my local PetSmart store. They have an incredible selection of pet products. They have many different types of food, treats and toys for dogs and cats. There is a Banfield veterinarian clinic inside. We have brought both of our dogs there for years. The Vets and Techs are patient and supportive. My only complaint is that the prices at PetSmart are fairly high. If the prices were more competitive, then I would probably shop there more frequently. read more

This is my favorite petsmart. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The store is always well stocked and super clean. I actually live near another one but I prefer coming here because they always have plenty of help. This petsmart has a Banfield Hospital attach to them. I've not used this particular one before but in the past I have used them from time to time. I have cats so I prefer taking them to a veterinarian that specializes in feline. This is a personal preference and it does not reflect upon Banfield's services. When I used them in the past. They were very good. They share a parking lot with Trader Joe Office Max, Honey butter and Cakes By Darcy. So at times parking can be a hassle. Watch out when you are backing out of your parking space because the spaces are a bit tight and during peak times they are pedestrians everywhere especially children!! Does PetSmart have a decent amount of cat toys and cat furniture. Do you have a good selection of alternatives cat liter such as corn, walnut, and paper. I come here for Hill's Science Diet urinary food. This particular food used to be prescription only. So I am very happy that I can buy a right off the shelf. My only complaint is sometimes they only have one cashier working and the lines can get a bit long but if you say something to them they will open up another line. read more

Very very disappointed with the groomers here, I had taken my Shih Tzu to this location to get a haircut for her birthday and I'm thinking since this location is in a much nicer area of Roswell, perhaps they will do a good job. I WAS WRONG! I was in a rush to pick her up, I didn't have time to inspect and explained them how bad of a job it was. I was ready to go. When I had picked her up, she wasn't even done. Her nail polish looks like a 5 year old did it. I mean you had her there for nearly 5 HOURS! They charged me $120 for wash, haircut, nails and some holiday special package. Which I'm not even sure what it was especially with the terrible job they did... I just asked to give her a facial since her eyes are stained from her tears. Don't even get me started with the haircut. I asked for a teddy bear face and it looks like they just cut a few pieces of hair, I mean her ears aren't even trimmed! I could've done a better job than them. Again very very disappointed and NEVER going back to this location. read more

Nice enough and helpful staff. Store is kind of dim. The parking lot, bizarre. Matter of fact, the parking lot is so incredibly awful that it is noteworthy. I've seen this sort of foolishness elsewhere, so it isn't unique to Roswell in general, or this PetSmart store in particular. Acute angles, lanes and spaces situated as if the planning for the mess was done with a handful of Pixie Stix: some "architect" or other equally over-credentialed moron had a handful of Stix, threw them at a mock-up of the shopping center, and exclaimed, "Gobsmackers! That looks like a wonderful plan! Let's build THAT!" You should never hire weapons-grade retards to design your multi-million dollar shopping development. Anyway. When we called to say we were running late to appt (30 minutes) they said they had to cancel us and could rebook us for 3 weeks later. I've been there about 8 times and pleased but there was no budging or empathy. I called the east Cobb location and had three appt options within 24 hours of the call. I'm really disappointed in pets smart grooming. I took both of my dogs today and asked for them both to get a bath and blow dry, a sanitary trim, paw pad shave, and a small matt cut out from behind one of the dogs ears. When I went to pick them up they were still damp, the matt was not cut out (even though they said yes when I asked if they did it), they did not get a sanitary trim, and they did not get their paw pads trimmed. After I got back to my car and checked behind the one dogs ear and realized the matt was still in there, I went back in and had them cut it out. The woman I talked to was very friendly when I asked but it should have been done in the first place. I explained to them what each dog needed multiple times (on the phone when I made the appointment and when I brought them in). I will definitely not be taking them back which is unfortunate because they used to do a good job. read more

The groomers are horrible at this store. The last time I took my dog I was informed that she was not able to come back again because she was "too nervous". I was told that I should take her to a vet. What if my groomer was the one attached to their store, then where should she be taken? The previous time it was suggested to me that I should consider taking her to the vet instead but that I didn't have to. Knowing that the previous time was due to an infection putting her in pain, I chose to once again take her to get groomed here because of the convenience (we have been coming here for 7 years). The groomer seemed to think she owned the place as she charged $7 for my dog being "too nervous". Used to be pretty good, but not anymore. For the last several months they have frequently been out of stock of our dog's favorite treats (both in store and online). What they do have is pricey compared to others stores. Their grooming staff is not very experienced, and now you need an appointment just to get a nail trim.Lately, I check ahead online to see if items needed are even available before I make the trip...they usually aren't. This is for the grooming department. I made an appointment earlier today for my dog to get washed at 3pm. As I'm dropping him off with the grooming lady, I ask what time I should pick him back up. She tells me 2-3 hours. I ask if there's any way to get him done faster (because he's so nervous he's shivering like a leaf), and she tells me that she can wash him quicker for $11 more, so I left. All in all, the grooming here sucks. They pretty much torture your dog by making them wait while they putz around chatting or answering phones when they really should be cleaning your dog. I was looking to adopt a cat. I came in on a Saturday with my friend. They were pretty busy but I was allowed to look around and play with some. A beautiful cat caught my eye, we stayed for a good 30-40 minutes. A woman by the name of Gwen was working there she had a very dismissive attitude, but I understand because they were short staffed. I took the information about the cat down, did my research purchased the right toys and made proper accommodations. I researched the diet and grooming necessary for the dog, I submitted an application. The woman called me directly asked some questions about where I lived. She called two references and advised them that she thought I was irrational, unstable, unfit to take care of an animal. She racially profiled me and made some behavioral accusations when she looks after cats not humans. This was the most disturbing unethical morally repulsive behavior from any person working with animals. I took time out the day to make sure I made multiple visits. She called me back and told me my application was denied because of personal reasons. This is also pretty unethical she didn't like that I didn't say bye to her as I left. Everything was very malicious and pretty vindictive and I hope who ever is in Human and animal respirates takes notes on how to treat everyone with kindness. I did not want to give this lady energy but she destroyed mine. So the next time you feel it's ok to have an awful day and be miserable get another job. read more

I had hoped the horrible grooming stories were false or exaggerations, but they're not. Worst experience ever!!! I literally cried at the fact I let them touch my fur baby. She's a miniature schnauzer who typically gets shaved and they leave the skirt and trim her beard (at other groomers). I was desperate and everywhere was booked until August, so I figured I'd try petsmart out. They called me an hour after dropping her off, I'm thinking, "wow, that was fast." -No, they nicked her under her arm and it flayed open to where they had to take her next door to the vet to have it glued together. The lady on the phone made it seem as if it were a small nick. Let me tell you, it was huge, it's as long as my finger tip! I rushed over there and demanded to speak to the vet. As a nurse I knew what to ask for; I needed antibiotics and pain meds for my baby, I know things can easily get infected. They couldn't finish the groom, so my baby has a full head of hair and a shaved body, she's a little black lion. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Petsmart Johns Creek GA Grooming Department Terrible customer service. Have had issues with booking grooming services for my boxer-mix for months, but always resolved in the past. They now are "changing the rules" to limit the times that express service is available (every time I call they are more limited), and are very rude on the phone. I complained to the store manager, but not much else you can expect when the store is run by teenagers. Agree with another reviewer who called it the "if I ignore you, you will go away" customer service plan. I already changed from Banfield vet service last year, because they were charging me for services and drugs that were unnecessary. Now am moving grooming away from them. I brought in my dog in to get his nails trimmed and the groomer who did it was the worst I've ever dealt with. First she trimmed the nail too short so she made my dog bleed and when I asked if she put anything on the nail to stop the bleeding she said "I didn't make him bleed". There were blood stains on the table where my dog was and I was standing there the whole time watching her. She had absolutely no compassion towards my dog. I spoke with the manager after who was very apologetic and refunded the money but I might just try to find another groomer instead of dealing with incompetent people. read more

Dropped my sweet little chihuahua-yorkie 10 pound mix baby girl off to be groomed and nails and bath. I dropped her off at 11 and told me she wouldn't be done till 3. WHAT? 4 hours!? She is 10lbs!!! Anyways they did it in 2 after I seemed so alarmed (we are very attached this dog and I). I was charged $40 for the services and her cut was choppy and uneven around her face and ears (she is a yorkie mix) still had her beard and long hair on feet. Brought my bichon for a nail trim. First, when I presented at the counter--with 4 people behind it--I stood there for several minutes. One young lady looked directly at me, then turned away to do something else. When a clerk finally checked me in, she charged me for the more expensive grind instead of a simple nail trim without asking me which service I wanted. I had to get that corrected. As the groomer finished my dog, I noticed that there was blood on the platform. She saw that I saw it, brought the dog back on the platform to try to stop the bleeding. She said she took care of it. I found the manager on the sales floor to request a refund pointing to the streaks of blood on the floor. He was kind enough to give me my money back. read more

I have been going to this Pet Smart for years. I loved the groomers there who always made my elderly dog look and feel great. My dog is over 14 years old and is far from spry but I have never had problems before. I dropped him off with a new staff member and explained that this old dog makes old man sounds and not to worry. He loves being bathed and groomed and makes old man sounds when he gets excited. Three hours later I get a call that they are not comfortable bathing my dog but he's been groomed. The (new) Store Manager was worried about the health of my dog if he were to be bathed (based on no medical basis), and no amount of assurance on my part would change his mind. My dog is old, senile and incontinent but does not appear to be in pain so, I live with his aging issues. The grooming job they did was horrible! the nails that were supposed to be ground, were clipped and left with sharp edges, the hair in between the pads was not cut (as I had instructed to be done) and the top of his paws were hacked. When I was waiting to check my dog in, this same groomer was explaining to another dog owner why there were problems with that dog's grooming. I just hope that when these people get old, their families decide that it won't cause health issues to bathe them. BEWARE! read more
