This Petsmart is on the smaller scale. Some parts of what we are used to seeing in Petsmart, the areas were smaller and not many materials provided or sections not there ( ex. My family is absolutely DEVASTATED by how terrible this haircut came out. This is the second time we brought him to Petsmart for a cut and can't believe they had the audacity to do such a thing. First of all, he's a golden doodle but I'm sure you can't tell because of how RIDICULOUS he looks. Second of all, they cut 3 out of 4 legs down, who TF even does that? He was left with patches all over his body. Only 1/2 of his face was shaved, and one eyelash was cut. He came home in the most sad/depressed mood ever! He's the happiest and friendly dog ever and to see the shame, embarrassment and sadness in his eye was just heartbreaking. This is wildly unacceptable, if the groomer doesn't have the skill level to cut the dogs hair this is something that the manager needs to handle professionally and 1. Assign someone who has the proper experience 2. Reschedule the appointment for when someone is available to actually do a great job 3. STOP the haircut once you know that it's not going to be what the client is asking for and expecting. Third of all, the store manager called us stating the grooming appointment could not be completed, mind you this call was made after Milo had already been there for 3 hours. Make it make sense! Then the groomer STEVEN let's us know the haircut was "completed" but when we arrived to pick Milo up, he told us that he couldn't finish the cut and didn't give an explanation as to why. I can't help but think about what Milo endured during this disgusting experience. To make matters worse, I know it's hard to think about this getting worse but Steven told us to "have a good day"! HOW Steven, how could we possibly have a good day when you made our dog look like he has no home and he's been struggling on the streets. My family dog was brought in for a simple grooming, 3 hours later he was picked up and brought come looking like a complete disaster. The groomer, Steven, had my cute innocent pup for 3 hours!! Why didn't he finish the grooming? I don't know! Why did he think this was okay? I simply cannot know. It's been a few days since the incident, and my pup has since recover but boy, was I upset! Won't be going back and my poor dog has had to deal with me trying to groom him (poorly) since our last visit here, but I feel more at ease knowing he isn't getting hurt when I "groom" him. Last time I brought him here about 4 months ago, he was returned to me with styptic powder on his genitals (my dog is not neutered) as he was clipped there with scissors accidentally and not a word was said to me about it. Since I was ultimately going to see it, they should have just said something, but as they pretended everything went great, I don't trust their care anymore for my dog. I'm on the hunt for a new groomer since my buzzer work on my dog is so uneven and figured people should be informed about this dog groomer before making an appointment. read more

We took our dogs to get groomed and instead of being helpful, we were told to leave. Two Germans shepherds, and instead of helping us and facilitating service. They asked us to leave. Customer service is suppose to be helpful they are suppose to help the customer not embarrass and make a spectacle of the customer. They are only receiving 3 stars based on their kindness with sales, they actually deserve a 5. Grooming large breeds - hell no. 0 if possible. This review so solely based on grooming. They are not equipped whatsoever to handle large breeds and had the nerve to question me repeatedly on where she was groomed before and maybe I should go back to the other groomer. While they refunded me 100% after coming home irate and my car filled with more hair than when I brought her, I lost my mind. I brought my yellow lab during pandemic because she was awfully shedding and my original groomer was short staffed and extremely over booked. My usual groomer never once complained, but the first time I brought my lab here they did the crappiest job ever and blamed my dog for constantly jumping out of their tiny tub. Here's a hint: don't take on large breeds! My lab swims freely during the summer and we groom her personally without an issue, but obviously they had no idea how to make her feel comfortable and attempted to groom her in a small breed tub which freaked her out. I will continue to buy my ProPlan food here for convenience and their sales staff, but I will never bring any dog I own here for grooming! And I own 5 in various sizes and breeds! Staff is not that helpful and they are very finicky about accepting coupons at this location. They analyze it for 10 minutes before accepting it. Also, there's way too many fish in their tanks and they're sickly. Goldfish need at least 20 gallons per fish and gravel/plants to feel like they're in their natural environment. They're going crazy in a glass box trying to fight for space to swim around. read more

I brought something for my cat and he popped it lucky I used my reward number because I throw away the box and receipt.. But I was told the can pull up the info through my phone number and I would be able to exchange or get a refund.. I haven't been to many pet stores, but I can tell you this one is great. As soon as you enter you are greeted and asked if you need any help. If you say yes, and what you're looking for they're happy to help. The locate the item and give a recommendation, if your pet is with you they will help size the collar/sweater/harness etc and place it on your pet. I have been to this Petsmart a few times and the staff are kind and very helpful. There are the basic pet items like food, harnesses, toys, shampoo, beds, etc. I do wish this location carried more products like pet clothes/ costumes, small animal items, and pets for sale. It is a smaller store than other locations, so only fish are sold there. There is a limited variety of items for pets other than cats and dogs. I would go to a different Petsmart location if you are buying items for small animals or reptiles. But if all you need is supplies for your dog or cat, it has the majority of what they need and it is very clean and stocked very well. read more

I bring my Yorkie here for grooming. Margarita is his groomer and has been for a few years now. She came from another location and I take my fur baby to this location just so she can groom him because she takes such good care of him and does such a great job with his groom. I trust her with him and his haircut always comes out looking great. He's always happy afterwards and so am I. I would recommend her to anyone. read more

I have gone twice to this location and both times disappointed. First time I only picked up cat food and they have a very little selection. Second time I went I was in need of a guinea pig/rabbit cage. They had neither. They had some guinea pig and rabbit food but that was about it. If I could give 0 star to the groomer Margarita I would! I used to bring my cat every week for grooming with Margarita. 2 weeks ago I received a text message saying that my appointment was at 3.30pm which was much earlier than usual. Without asking questions and to make sure not to miss my cat appointment I took the time off work and brought my lovely cat Shira at 3.30pm sharp. Margarita started to argue that she could not take her as she was not in the agenda before 6.30pm and that I should come back at least an hour later to check what time she could groom Shira. I insisted as I live 30min away from Lyndhurst and that I had planned my day accordingly and needed to go back to work. Margarita was very pissed and finally accepted to groom Shira. When I came back, Maragrita's associate gave me Shira back and told me that they were no longer willing to groom my beautiful cat because of their mistake! i showed them the text o my phone and they still insisted that they were not comfortable....now I have lots of difficulties to find a cat groomer and must drive even further to groom my cat at hours such as 7am in the morning....People, Margarita, are very cruel and do not care about the consequences especially when they are wrong! This is the meanest and worst service I never experienced and I would tell you to never never go to Margarita. She is the worst and meanest groomer among Petsmart employees and does not care about your pet at all. read more

I understand lots of frustration going on in the world but don't take it out on your customers and pets, today because I said I didn't want to order the special shampoo, the groomer got argumentative , said it was in the system how did it get there, I didn't know, then showed me some matting on my dog and told me she would have to totally shave him, I said I understand matting, do the best you can and do what you have to around and matting but I've been taking my dogs to groomers my whole life no ones ever made me shave my dog from a few knots, that was the last draw for her she told me she refused to groom my dog because my expectations are unrealistic, I wasn't going to be bullied into it ,She then got belligerent and the manger was trained not to argue with her and told me it was pet smarts policy and was rude so the groomer wouldn't stab her or something, my expectation was do the best you can! Super nice people at this Pet Smart. I had my Maltese groomed here and the groomer Margarita was wonderful with my Lily. I love the way she groomed her. Very warm and friendly and caring. The cashier was super nice too. I will definitely will go back to this store. I live in Secaucus and experienced very unfriendly and rude people that work in grooming at the Pet Smart in Secaucus. I'm so glad that I went to this location. I booked another grooming appt with Margerita. Can't wait to go back. It's nice to go to a store a feel cared for. I shopped at PetSmart in Lyndhurst a few times. They have a great selection and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. When I needed to return a big item, that was emotional and upsetting for me, I was met with compassion and understanding.
