I've tried coming here a few times for the self-serve dog wash because the signs outside say walk-ins are welcome. Every time I show up, I'm told they only take appointments. It's frustrating and honestly feels misleading when the signs say one thing and the staff says another. At this point it really seems like a management problem. Fixing signs and giving clear info isn't complicated, and it shouldn't keep happening over and over. Corporate needs to come in and take a look at what's going on here, because nothing is changing and customers are the ones wasting their time. I recently moved to area and have now tried to place 2 online orders for my pet's food. Both times, after I entered my payment info, my orders were cancelled by the store without any explanation. The first time it happened I couldn't even reach the store - no one answered the phone (I let it ring for a solid 3 - 4 minutes) and eventually hung up. I contacted PerSmart customer service - they were the ones who informed me the store cancelled the order. The same exact thing happened when I attempted to place another online orders 3 weeks later. I was able to reach the store this time and was basically told they had no idea what happened and that I must have placed the order at another store (I even verified their address to match my order, and they still insisted I placed the order at another store). I was forced to drive to the store (less than 10 minutes away) only to see that 1/2 of the items I "ordered" wasn't even available, even though the items were listed as "in stock". I had approximately 25 - 30 small cans of cat food and some miscellaneous treats and toys to ring up...the associate at the register seriously asked me if I wanted a shopping bag for my purchase. How else was I planning to carry all those items from the store to my car, then my car to my home? This was the least customer friendly experience I've ever had at PetSmart. As inconvenient as the situation is for me not being able to shop at this location, I'll drive out of my way to either Hurst or Grapevine where I know my shopping experience will be significantly smoother. read more

The older blonde lady with medium length hair working in the fish department this evening was a bit rude when telling some people which fish they could and couldn't purchase. Then another blonde lady with a headset (assuming the manager) walked over to her and mentioned how busy the store was to which this lady replied something to the effect of "I don't know why people don't understand that we close at 7. But I'm going to make an announcement in about 15 minutes. " It was 6:30, when she said this for several customers to hear. Why is it such an inconvenience for customers to be in the store 30 minutes before close? Don't work there if customers are such an inconvenience. Avoid the grooming department at all costs! We recently had our cat groomed and it was comically not worth the money. The groomer was 30 minutes late to work and didn't even bother to call in and say she'd be running late. The store didn't even call her until we showed up to drop off our cat (right on time). When she did finally arrive, she did not apologize for being late. There was no attempt to make it right by the groomer or by anyone at the store. Then the groomer left early without printing out a receipt, so when we went to pick him up we had to wait again for someone to figure out how to check us out. No discount, no apology, and no professionalism. Poor job on the actual grooming as well. Completely unacceptable customer service. We will never be back! read more

I took my dog here to be shaved yesterday and they did the most horrible job. They left entire parts of her unshaven and didn't bother cleaning her ears or her behind. However, the worst part is that they injured her skin and gouged her, leaving her with a horrible painful rash around her neck. I called the store manager, Tom, who instead of saying he'd address his groomers told me to bring her to HIS vet (no, I have my own) to prove she was injured and then let HIS groomers fix it (the same ones who injured her). I said that was not going to happen, I just wanted it addressed and he started yelling at me. This store is horrible. I will be contacting corporate and it will be addressed. I literally paid $90 to have someone injure my animal. Edit: after contacting corporate, it was actually handled really quickly. I had two much nicer managers contact me and say they were addressing the situation. I don't know that i would go back, but at least they sound like they're going to try to make the salon better. read more

I came here to get my Shih tzu groomed after the last time they messed her up and even tho she was very matted Shauntel did an amazing job

So I made an appointment to groom my mini poodle and was Quoted $55.00 and told to bring a picture of what cut I wanted and when I got there they gave me the run around that they could only do a little trim not a full cut as they were afraid that because it was going to be her first time that she would move around snd be scared! If they are professional groomers they should know how to deal with her. Specially that my puppy is the sweetest and very calm Puppy! They also told me that she was too big for a mini poodle and tried to tell me that she was a doodle which was insulting not because they says she was a foodie but because she is a beautiful pure breed poodle. I know how foodies look because I happen to have two beautiful ones at home too! I will not return to groom any of my puppies there unless they send me coupons and apologize for the way they wasted my time. read more

It's not the best but we haven't had any awful experiences. I will say they are not as trained in specialized cuts for breeds. Most dogs come out shaved. We have an solder dog so keeping her shaved is easier so the service is fine for what we need. I'd say if you need a detailed groom try somewhere else. The staff here is really nice though. As I read through the reviews, I'm shocked that I didn't take the time to read prior to taking my Rain there. We relocated to Haslet in the summer and prompt to, we were going to a different Petco. Just as others have stated, my dog loves going for grooming prior to coming to this site. Rain is a very playful and loving dog and wants nothing more than to sniff and make you play with her toys. Since (appx) the 2nd visit, she has been very hesitant about going inside this location. We have to almost force her. I read in one of the reviews that an employee was let go due to mistreating the fur babies and I wonder if she had any contact with my Rain...and is that why she refuses to go for grooming there. I have a standard Goldendoodle who I have taken to Petsmart for the past year for her grooming and bathing needs. This visit was the last chance to redeem themselves as the last cut she got there, they left all the gooy stuff in her ears and they nicked her shoulderblade and did not tell me about it. She always gets a teddy bear face and lamb legs with the body cut down. However, this past visit with Katie J. I was also charged an additional $10 for removing mats. I completely combed my girl out before she went in, so I knew this had to be a mistake. I questioned it, and she told me that it was for her lamb legs. Katie stated they usually charged $20 extra, but since she was such a good girl, she only charged me $10. I told her I had never had an additional charge for this, but she wasn't budging. They brought my girl out, and OMG she not only did not get a teddy bear face, clean cut but not what I asked for, she also COMPLETELY CUT OFF HER LAMB LEGS AND CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE AS WELL!?!?!?!?!?! WTF!?!?!?! Not to mention, she didn't even cut them off evenly. There are long, scraggly hairs mingled into the short hairs. Never again. So unhappy. read more

Our attempt to adopt a dog through here was an absolute nightmare. On Monday we found a dog through North Animal Care, met her and fell in love with her. Immediately we wanted to adopt her but were told she was a lost dog and could potentially have an owner so we had to wait until Tuesday. We went up there right when they opened on Tuesday and they told us that PetsMart has first dibs on dogs, and picked her and the only way we could adopt her now would be waiting until Friday when she goes to PetsMart. We asked if there was anything else that we could do and they told us no. We called this location multiple times inquiring about the dog and were repeatedly told that the ONLY thing we could do was wait until Friday and be first in line for the dog as it is first come first served. We left our information and asked to be notified if anything changed. So, we eagerly showed up and hour before the store even opened and waited outside, only to be blindsided by Deborah, who casually mentioned that the dog had been adopted the day before. We NEVER got any phone call that the dog was going to be arriving a day early. No one ever even mentioned that this could even be a possibility. Both North Animal Care and this PetsMart had her arrival day as Friday. We called at least 5 times about this dog so they knew how badly we wanted her. The lack of communication, transparency, and empathy is disheartening. Everyone that we talked to seemed dismissive of us and annoyed with us for calling. We really just wanted this dog, we had already invested in her emotionally. This has been a very heartbreaking experience. read more

Also, extremely disappointed that when you book an appointment with a particular groomer, they arbitrarily switch things up, and a different person ends up grooming your pup, delivering a substandard cut. I took my dog Barron into see your groomers at the alliance town center pet smart in fort worth Texas on Sunday March 195th for a wash, brush and nail grind. I dropped barron off at 1230 and have the groomer a $10 top to be gentle with him. Barron is a very heathly strong dog, but at almost 10 requires a delicate touch. I asked to be called when he was ready as I had a family dinner that night at 5. I never received a call and took it upon myself to go pick him up at 5 for a status. He was ready when I got there and according to the paperwork had been ready since 330, but I never got a call. When we got to family dinner I noticed Barron was limping very badly and looked down at his paw and it was covered in blood. I immediately called your store, but received no explaination and got frustrated and hung up. On Monday when I got home from work I noticed he still had a very bad limp, but we would not let me inspect his paw for what might be causing the discomfort. Finally on Tuesday he let me look and noticed his one of his front laws nails was all but torn off and was just barely hanging on. I took him to the vet ($90) yesterday to have the toe nail removed. He's still in a lot of pain, but hopefully now that someone with compassion was able to treat him he is on his way to recovery. Barron and I had plans to leave for Colorado this weekend to do his favorite thing, trail hiking, but now I have had to cancel that trip in order for him to heal. I reached out to your customer service contact email, but I get nothing but canned responses from them. If I could leave no stars I would do so. I took my very sweet dog there to be groomed and was treated very rudely by an amplitude when checking out. A few days later my dog was seriously ill and had to be hospitalized. She almost died, I spent a tremendous amount of money for her to be healthy again. She did almost die. The vet had informed us that it could have been stress induced that she got very sick. I recently tried to take her somewhere else to be groomed and when we arrived I've never seen my dog more afraid. She was panting, could barely breathe, legs trembling so bad she can't stand up. I've never seen this behavior before as she has been groomed so many times in her life without problems. I then called the Petco to ask whom groomed my dog when she was there last. Come to find out Shay, the girl will groomed her no longer works there due to an incident where along the lines of her mistreating another families dog and was let go and no longer allowed to work at any Petco. Although the manager was very kind to me on the phone, I highly recommend you do not bring your pets here if you love them. My dog was there for a 2-night stay. I paid for him to be in the doggy day camp during the day. I have no way of knowing what they did with him on the first day, but when I picked him up in mid-afternoon of the second day, he was alone in his cage while other little dogs were playing in the camp room. They told me he was good and had fun, but I am doubting it. There isn't a reason for him to have been in his cage in the middle of the afternoon. I'll look for other options. read more

Went into the adoption center and pee was all over the floor, the dog that was in the "meet and greet" area was COVERED with ticks as well as the bench I was sitting on. Whenever I went up to the counter to let someone know Emily acted as if she did not care and heard it before and was not worryied about it. She did not care that she put myself, others, and the animals in the kennels in danger of getting ticks on themselves as well. I'm annoyed to see her still working there and has made me not want to adopt from this location, some people should not work with animals if they do not take care of them correctly or AT LEAST report to anyone above her of the issues within her store location. read more
