I searched high and low to find the best furbaby sitter when we were out of town. I decided on Boat Club Pet Resort for many reasons: Very clean and staff very attentive to us humans and especially our fur babies. Price! They're a heck of a lot cheaper than pet sitter that enters your home....when you're not there that always made me nervous. Location, Location,Location! Easy access from all parts of Fort Worth area. Daily I would receive Report Card on Lucky, with all info on his day, mood,eating,etc. they took pictures of him too! Side Note: we were so anxious about leaving our love bucket, we had a death in our family and a week later our daughter was getting married.....our stress level was to the max .... however, not once did I worry or wonder how Lucky was getting along with the staff or other dogs. I kid you not, The resort became our extended family! Go up anytime and ask for a tour, get their prices and meet the staff - you can bet they have what you are looking for, your fur babies will thank you!

I have a different dog now - a Maltese puppy named Maxwell - who is just over a year old. I started bringing him for Day Camp in the first quarter of 2024. He was very timid and unsure of what to do, but the excellent "camp counselors" at Pawhootz were so patient in doing their evaluations and making sure he felt safe and secure. Now, he acts like he owns the place! When I ask him if he wants to "go play," he goes berserk! And as soon as we pull into the driveway, chaos (the good kind) ensues. He has a little BFF that attends regularly, as well. When I pick him up at the end of the day, he is happily exhaunted. I confess that I balked a bit at the price and having to pay all at once at the beginning of each month; however, Maxwell attends day camp three times per week - when I can't work from home and must be in Dallas all day, I have real peace of mind knowing that he is well taken care of. Also, I love peeking in on the Webcam to see him playing with his buddies - it's the best part of my day! The management at Pawhootz is excellent - they are very responsive to questions and concerns, and they actually listen! You can tell that they have a heart for animals, and they treat them as if they were their own. We have been learning about boarding during the holidays. I was confident that he was safe and well cared for during the holidays. And they are working with me to find ways to alleviate his anxiety - puppies get anxious sometimes when we're away for longer than they are used to! We have not had a full groom here yet, but Maxwell got a luxurious bath and blueberry facial recently! They did a lovely job of brushing and cleaning him up - he was a happy peppy puppy when they brought him out to me. In summary, I highly recommend Pawhootz as a reliable, safe, secure, and trustworthy place to board fur babies. Between the creative enrichment activities and the amazing employees, they are a fun place for a few hours or a few days.

It honestly looks like whoever groomed him either doesn't know how to cut dog hair or simply didn't care. Some areas look hacked with random layers, while other spots weren't cut at all. It looks less like a professional groom and more like it was done with dull paper scissors. To make matters worse, she dropped her dog off at 7:00am and didn't hear anything until 3:00pm and that was only because she had to call and check if he was ready. I understand they may have been busy or backed up due to reschedules from the ice storm, but that's not an excuse to deliver such poor-quality work. People are paying with their hard-earned money and deserve proper care and a basic level of professionalism especially when it comes to their fur baby. This experience was frustrating and unacceptable, and won't be returning.

I found Pappys after moving to Fort Worth, and I have boarded my 2 dogs here twice now, once at Christmas and once while on vacation at the beach. Both times they were cared for with love and attention by competent, knowledgable staff. They have a lot of options for kennel size when boarding. The first time I opted for the Hound Hotel with the webcam to put my mind at ease. He second time I chose the same kennel without the webcam. I opted for the doggy day care twice/day during their stay, and I was able to watch them having fun playing with all the other dogs while they were there. It really put my mind at ease. Also, their grooming services are excellent. Most importantly the staff here are incredible. I had really specific instructions for feeding one of my dogs who is overweight, and they fully accommodated her diet needs and seemed happy to do so. The doggy report cards are a nice touch, they give me assurance that my fur babies are being given attention. I drive 45 minutes each way to board my dogs here and pass several other kennels to come here. Their prices are reasonable and they offer savings if you buy combined services.

We had gone from boarding here to using Rover, which proved really inconsistent and not good for our pups. The staff are much more helpful and provide good feedback about dog behavior. One of our dogs in particular is pretty anxious and doesn't always do well with new people or locations. While the feedback was largely the same from our initial visit, the delivery was more helpful and allowed us insight into what was going on and how we could possibly help him. We ended up going to the vet to get him some anxiety medication for the boarding visits, which seemed to really help. The only negative I'd say is not always seeing the dogs on camera. When we've paid for the camera lodges, we'd go from being able to see them to seeing them removed, then not being able to find them in any of the play areas. I'm not sure where they go during these times or if they're let out in other locations. It's more a curiosity than an actual complaint, and to be fair, I could ask. Overall, our experience here is night and day. We use them routinely when we head out of town and our pups seem happy when we drop them off and pick them up.

I'm not sure if anyone has this issue, but we've had such a hard time finding a groomer who can give Tillie the "poodle" cut. She was given to us by someone who didn't want her, and it was entire learning process figuring out how to keep her well groomed. I already have two yorkies and they are a bit lower maintenance than toy poodles. The first two groomers I took her her to basically buzzed her and gave her a very uneven hair cut even though she wasn't matted. Anne's has always made Tillie look so beautiful and I've been so happy with how she smells and her haircut. I think my girl loves going to see the staff as well! They are always so welcoming and friendly. I'm finally taking my yorkies tomorrow and have no doubt they will look fabulous when they walk out!
