I normally don't take the time to do a negative review. This is not my style....however, this was so appalling and shocking it had to be noted! I will NEVER do business with PetSmart at any location. My daughter made an appointment for you Corgi Puppy at this Flagstaff location because our home location in Sedona did not have any availability. We called that morning to verify our appointment and to ensure the documents required were completed. I said we will see you soon to reconfirm our time. The drive to Flagstaff took us about an hour, we ran 15 minutes late. We did not receive any courtesy call to from a PetSmart employee. We all three walked in and waited about 10 minutes for someone, to address us. The woman looks at the clock and says "You were canceled" You can imagine my disappointment and ANGER! I did not cause a scene and asked why. We had not received an email or phone call in regard to the appointment being canceled. The staff had zero attempts to resolve the situation even after explaining our drive. On another note: The Manager had no resolution and did not try at all to fit us in. I gave him suggestions of what Good Customer Service would look like. That would be to make every attempt to accommodate the customer and communicate prior to canceling the appointment. It did not appear he had ANY training in customer care. My hopes it that he would have made every attempt to accommodate and keep our appointment. I suppose my time, gas and effort does not have any value. read more

I want to update my review. While I do still enjoy coming to the store and looking around at their items and animals for adoption, I am not happy with their breed-specific discrimination against pit bulls. However, I do appreciate that they have not sold feeder rodents and they are meant to be adopted as pets. read more

Love, love, love this store--the staff is the best! I got my dog just short of a year ago, when she was about 7 weeks old, and I've gone to this Petsmart for everything from grooming to buying her a crate to taking puppy class. The trainers are great, and the staff really knows their stuff. I've bugged them with a slew of questions, from leash & doggy backpack suggestions to curbing puppy behavior, and they've always been able to help out. read more

I love coming here! All the employees are SUPER helpful and knowledgeable. I asked one of the managers who approached me what should I look for in a good dog food and listed off every single thing I should look for in a good dog food. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars is because their prices are more expensive most of the time compared to Petco. read more

I will never return! I have been taking my dogs to get groomed every 6-8 weeks for over 2 years. I always bring my own whitening shampoo and conditioner so I won't get charged an additional $14.00 for each dog. Well today I was told rudely told upon check in that I would be charged an additional $7.00 per dog for them to use MY supplies!! I asked to speak to the manager, who was also very cold and unfriendly and was told that from now on I will be charged the extra fee. I explained that I won't be returning due this policy and he acted like it was no big deal. Has customer service really gone so far down hill for a manager to respond this way?? Since my business is of no importance to Petsmart I will also discontinue shopping there all together!! No big deal right?? Well in my immediate family alone there are 14 dogs, 3 cats and numerous large fish tanks and PetSmart was used for all of them. Guess what ?? PetSmart will be losing all of this business as well. I will also be sharing this info with all of my friends and coworkers. Bad news travels fast! YOUR LOSS PETSMART!!! And by the way I checked with Petco and they do not charge anything extra if a customer's own products are used!!! read more

I had a very bad experience here. It started as soon as I picked my dog up she seemed so excited to get out of there and wanted away from the groomer and was petrified I proceeded to ask if there were any behavior issues I should know about, this is something I do every time although the answer is always the same she was a very good girl very tame and sweet, this time she said she bit her 3 times so this came as a surprise to me because she has never bitten anyone. The groomer asked me how I liked the cut she didn't even touch her face or her tail but I figured I can fix those at home and not make a fuss. I soon left and discovered that one of her nails was bleeding and as I looked I saw 3 were bleeding so at this point I was furious there is no excuse for this so I proceeded to call and during so I noticed the side of her nose was bald and bleeding as well so the groomer probably went to trim her face nicked her and decided to do no more. I proceeded to call the manager when I talked to him he kept defending his groomer as if she did nothing wrong I could not understand how he could be so negligent he finally offered me a refund and will never return read more

We came in for a muzzle for our 100lb male shepherd whose had problems in public yanking on his leash, barking at other dogs and people. He's such a sweet dog who acts terribly in public sometimes. The sales associate at this store, Dan was incredible. He gave us great insight and alternatives to a muzzle and was extremely informative, best petsmart experience thanks to Dan, you're the man. read more

I have had one extremely bad experience with a groomer there named Rainbow, but the manager was very helpful so I continue going there. All the other groomers we have experienced were great. They even do my dogs anal glands when she needs them, for that I am very thankful! read more

Took my cat to get his nails filed and was turned away because I didn't have his vaccination paperwork. This would have been my mistake had I not called earlier and asked if I needed to make an appointment, they said no, and did not even mention needing to bring the papers. Was very disappointed that went through the trouble of crating my baby for nothing. They should really work on their customer service so that this does not happen again. read more

Worst service I have ever received. I will never go back. This store took about a $100 from me for a class, that didn't work out because we were not a fan of the trainer... And they refused to give us store credit, but for some reason we could exchange it for another class... We had obvious reasons why we didn't want to take another class from there. I have never felt so mistreated from a company before, and I will never go back unless they give us our money back. Petco's manager is much nicer, this just makes me a bigger fan of Petco. I would give this location zero stars if I could. The associates were nice, but I will not support a store with the worst management I've seen. Customer service should be a priority and obviously it's not. read more

I'm a senior citizen, brought my dog in for grooming at PetSmart Flagstaff with an appointment. Repeat customer. Rabies shots and vaccines all updated, (have documentation and tag, with the current tag on my dog's collar). Three girls who appeared to be in their late teens are present. I was told to produce the rabies document and replied that I didn't have it with me, however its easily obtained, so I offered to drive home and get it, as I live only 5 minutes away. I said I'll be back within 10 minutes. The teen said NO, I'd have to reschedule. I politely asked her to take into account my dog is wearing the current tags, that we're a repeat customer, on file with them, and I'll be back literally in 10 minutes with rabies form. No, she replied in robotic voice, "you'll have to reschedule". Again I asked politely if they would reconsider. I could even email it to them in 5 minutes, if 10 minutes is too much to ask. They were snippy, short, irritated and firm; I shared my disappointment, adding I would convey my experience with others. One employee said with sarcastic attitude: "You can do that if you want. Why don't you just leave?" I did. In my opinion, these employees sorely need re-training and reflect poorly on the management and the brand. I do not recommend anyone take their pets here. There are truly professional groomers all over Flag and I have found one. read more

This place does well with pet supplies, but I'd hesitate to get an actual animal there. The herps (reptiles & amphibians) are always either way overcrowded or out of stock. I've bought a few fish from there with only partial luck. The first couple did fine. Then I added a couple bottom feeders that developed a fungus the following morning. I managed to get them out of the tank before the rest of my fish caught it (though I ended up treating the tank anyway), and took the fish back to Petsmart. The employees said told me was ich, not a fungus, and I bought the appropriate medicine. Trusting their judgement over my internet research skills, I returned the dead fish the following day. I also recieved some horrible advice about which fish could be housed together. I have a fairly large tank and am usually good about resisting temptation. Unfortunately, two more dead fish were returned to the store shortly after I again failed to use my better judgement. On the plus side, they have a great return/exchange/refund policy and are conveniently located so returning/exchanging/refunding bad choices is easy. read more

After several weeks of having a good attitude about school, my parents allowed me to get a hamster. I chose two dwarf hamsters. I asked if the two brothers would get along. Two different employees assured me that they would be fine in the same cage. My winter white hamsters did not always get along, but I thought they were just playing. A few weeks ago I was giving them food and water in the morning. They had been fed the day before. I found that one brother had eaten the other one. It was so gross. I found blood all over the cage and bits of fur and intestines. I started screaming and my dad came running. He had to clean up the sad mess. A few days later I went to PetSmart. They were really rude. They did not believe me and claimed that the eaten one was sick. They said it had just been nibbled on after it died. I cried in the store and they didn't seem to care. They kept denying that this had happened. It was hard for me to ask to see the manager. This keeps bothering me. Recently I went to Petco and asked if winter white dwarf hamsters can be in the same cage. Immediately they said no because they eat each other. I've told my friends about this and none of us will be shopping at PetSmart again. I think your employees should know about the animals they sell. I also think they need to take responsibility for mistakes they make. Plus they need to be nicer to pet lovers like me. read more
