I took my dog to day camp and she had a blast. There are webcams so pet parents can check on their furbabies while at camp. The pet hotel staff were great - super knowledgeable and friendly. All staff seemed to be well trained in how to approach dogs and make even the most skittish/anxious ones feel comforted. The cost is also very affordable. This store used to have some very well trained employees. Not anymore. The employees do not carefully net the fish and the fish usually die from shock when taken. Home. The fact that they have a guarantee does not negate the cruelty of wasting these beautiful fish. Furthermore, The fish tank lights are turned off over an hour before the store closes. This is for the grooming department. We took our dog in today. Told them what we wanted in terms of hair cut. We get a call 2.5 hours later saying our dog was ready? I felt this was oddly too fast. They usually take longer. When we get our dog she is all shaved. We did not ask for that. She didn't even have a lot of matting that required that short of a cut. No wonder they didn't take long. They were lazy and decided to shave her instead of taking their time. When we complained the groomer sarcastically said "you can take her somewhere else if you don't like it" We also noticed some of my dogs nails were cut too short and they had clearly bled. I'm conflicted about PetSmart as a brand because of the questionable care of their animals, but this location is convenient and occasionally has good deals that can't be found online. Staff is decently friendly. Checkout always seems to take a while because there's only ever 1-2 lanes open, even when it's really busy. Most of the time the items here are overpriced and don't even match their own prices online, so be careful! Typically buy online and pick up in store is the way to get the best price. read more

This review is solely for Eliot H, the groomer. I accidentally booked her instead of Ibrahim and didn't even notice my mistake because my extremely anxious dog was okay with being taken to the back by her-- no whining, barking, or even looking nervous. 30mins later, she called me to pick my dog up because "he was freaking out" and "wouldn't let me touch him". Weird, because he was just fine when he went to the back with her. I picked him up in a matter of minutes -- he was kept in a cage, all wet and had choppy trims all over his body. I inspected him when we got home and found so many cuts on the underside of his body and that area was nearly shaved off down to his skin, which wasn't even the length that I chose.. Pretty sure my dog became scared after being cut so many times by Eliot H. Would've been nice if she had noticed that as his groomer instead of making it sound like he "started freaking out" out of nowhere. read more

Hear me out...I've bought two lovely cats from you guys. Today I popped by because I know cat visiting hours are 12-5 pm (most of time). I saw someone cleaning which I understand but the staff walked out and locked the door behind her. She kinda gave a rude look. They were suppose to be open according to the schedule. Do better guys, some people come just to visit with the cats through the cages. That's how I've adopted two already in previous years. Can't you clean before visiting time or after. And if not clean but don't just leave to do other things around the store and lock the door behind you. More interactions more adoptions. We will follow visiting hours but those doors better be open when it's our time to interact. read more

Unfortunately I gave this petsmart a second chance to groom my dog and I have to say Jane did a horrible job on my dogs grooming. Not only was he in there for 3 hours but he came out with the worst cut I have ever seen. She went too high on his head, didn't trim his ears at all, didn't squeeze him because he smells like fish, she also cut the hair around his eye way too low and he was bleeding where he was neutered. I could have done this haircut at home honestly and maybe would have done a much better job. Sorry petsmart grooming, I will never be returning because you wasted my $100 read more

It's always tough to rate chain stores since the staff and policy and products are always changing. This is for my personal experiences from January 2025 give or take a few months before and after! I see horror stories from many people about chain pet stores but when i came here to buy a reptile the staff were very knowledgeable and honest. They weren't trying to just make a sale rather they were teaching me the resources a bearded dragon would need. In fact i wanted a chameleon at first and the employee helping me was realistic about the care and steered me towards a beardie. Then when said employee had to go on lunch a second employee (manager i think) informed me further about the resources and space i would need. I actually came back on a separate trip days later to actually buy because i had to do some research! Even after i called and had questions the staff were very patient. Even on many other visits for dog items and bugs etc the employees have all been very polite and helpful. Lucky to have a good store nearby. read more

From the moment I stepped in she spoke to me with a lot of attitude and in a very condescending manner. If you want returning customers you should really check on your attitude and the way you speak to others. I have been going to this grooming salon for years. It's safe to say I will not be going back. I will not stand for someone giving me attitude and not providing at least a decent customer service experience. Hi, I would like to ask if you can please assist with getting this story out to other consumers, so it doesn't happen to them. My dogs were dropped off clean, healthy and playful on February 1st, 2025. All began to transpire February 4,2025 and have continued. I picked up my two dogs hurt, filthy, both with cones. They were not themselves; Chat was scared (tail was between his legs) and you could tell he was in pain, he could not sit down or lie for more than a few minutes. Chuy seemed very lethargic. I asked if he was depressed or did the medicine make him sleepy. Nicole read the bottle, and she said no, it doesn't make him sleepy. (bottle says yes) I picked them up February 7, 2025. I also need help getting answers from PetSmart as to what really happened to both my dogs. Below you will see I got a few different stories. I have asked for a copy of the incident report; I have asked them to review cameras, but they don't have cameras in the kennels. No one heard or seen anything, yet they have a few different stories. I also didn't receive any paperwork at pick up, from PetSmart like their paw-gress report I received the paperwork from the vet. 3 meals (that means they were not fed 3 of their meals.) I sent them the invoice of my vet that examined my dogs the next day after picking them up. If you can give us a call back as soon as you can that would be great thank you...." Not sure who left the message as they did not identify themselves on the message. We returned the phone call at 4:55 PM we were on hold 6 minutes, we hung up and called back at 5:02 PM and spoke with Dona, who said Chato bit Chuy in the ear, I asked when did it happen? Dona said it happened last night and we ( not sure who we is ) noticed it this morning. I stated and you are notifying me now at 5:10! I said this was not acceptable. I let her know I have never had any medical issues with Chato and have had both Chuy and Chato from when they were puppies and the have never done this. She said that Chuy needed to be examined. Said I wanted to speak to a supervisor she said she won't be in until tomorrow. I said these are like my kids and a call till tomorrow is not acceptable I want to speak to someone now. Dona asked me to hold ( note this phone call was 34 minutes long 11 minutes of that call was on the phone with Dona and 23 of it was on hold for a supervisor) as I was on hold, I received a call from Tristan at 5:37 saying he was told to call me I let him know I was actually on hold over 20 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor. Thankfully it healed and my dog didn't have any issues after i put a cone on him. So i was a little scared to leave my dog with a new groomer at pet smart again, But im so glad I did! I got my dog's grooming done by Kiley. She was so nice and attentive. My dog has separation anxiety and has a lot of skin tags and came out happy with no cuts or any issues. On Tuesday, June 17, 2025 I brought my dog in for a bath, cut, and nail trim. Regular price is $66.00 but I was charged $72.00. I asked the grooming manager and he said that corporate likes to add on charges during holidays. June 15 was Father's Day but not a holiday and June 19 is Juneteenth Day but I went on June 17 and not on a holiday date. Great way to gouge your customers, PetSMart. read more

I've brought my dog to this PetSmart for grooming twice now and she always comes out a new doggo! The staff are nice and Orson does an amazing job - she is pretty elderly and has warts on her body but he makes sure to take his time and nothing is irritated. I showed him a reference photo of her previous haircuts and he was able to get her looking how I wanted her to! She also smells so good with the entire bath and haircut package. It usually takes around 1.5-2 hours to get her groomed and I just hang out in the area until she's ready for pickup. The lines do get long at this location, but the staff make sure they go relatively quickly. This location is definitely popular and I can see why! read more

Writing this review for the grooming team: I've been bringing my maltipoo, Garbanzo, to the Daly City PetSmart grooming salon for the last two years and I don't see myself going anywhere else. I've had the best service from the store leader Jarren and everyone else on his team, namely Ibrahim and Jade L. I took Garbanzo to a mobile groomer just once, and he came back with horrible clipper burns, bleeding nail beds, and a chemical burn in his eyes. Ever since then, he's been terrified of grooming visits, but Ibrahim, Jade, Jarren, and the team are so patient and are excellent at comforting him. Thank you Daly City grooming team!! read more
