If I could give Wiggling Tails more stars I would! Their daycare is unmatched. They treat my 5 year old King Charles, Pippa, like one of their own/family. We first enrolled about a year ago and Michael and Martha did an intake evaluation to make sure Pippa would fit in. After that Pippa was enrolled in their daycare 2x a week. One fabulous thing about Wiggling Tails is that they do pick up and drop offs in the city! Michael, Martha, and team are excellent communicators and are willing to be flexible. I LOVE all the fun photo shoots they do. They are so creative and go above and beyond. I'm including in my post the Valentine's Day and Mother's Day photo shoots which they framed for me . In addition to the photo shoots they will take action shots and videos of your pup during the day. I have always felt safe sending Pippa to Wiggling Tails. There is just no better doggie daycare service. Wiggling Tails is family run, and they treat your pup like family. The fact they pick up and drop off is beyond what most people offer. While at WT, the pups run and play on real grass and interact with professional dog playground toys. I did not have a great experience with this service - our dog is a mini golden doodle and he would get fairly dirty after daycare, so after a few incidents of requesting some adjustments to daycare days to accommodate the weather, we were told our dog is "not a good fit" for them. Can't say enough great things about Wiggling Tails. I started sending my toy poodle Monty because he had separation anxiety and was very attached to me. To be honest it was nice for me to have a break from him as well! Wiggling Tails came highly recommended by some friends so we gave them a try! I was sold when I found out the pick up/drop off! This made my life so much easier. Monty LOVES going to daycare and runs to Martha squeezing when she shows up. Top notch service. We've trusted Michael and Martha with our beloved dogs for years. Our dogs have stayed with Wiggling Tails for weekends, daycare and for extended periods of time when we travel. They are strict about ensuring all dogs have their current shots/vaccinations which we really appreciate. They also send photos and videos of our dogs when we are traveling. My husband and I toured all of the fancy dog boarding hotels in the Bay Area and Wiggling Tails is just the best. Wiggling Tails has been an essential part of our family for over 2 years now. I can't stress how incredible Martha and Mike are with our animal. We use their day boarding offering and they come and pick up our dog around 8:00am in downtown SF and drop him off around 5:00. Thanks to them our dog gets to play during the day and we have the peace of mind that he's safe (and not bored in the house getting up to no good)! We have also been so pleased with their weekend boarding options (when we want to go away for the weekend). We were initially very nervous to let our puppy go to daycare, but Martha and Mike made us immeadiate my feel better with constant texting updates and numerous cute videos of our pup playing with the other dogs and having a blast. As dog experts they also let us know if they feel like he might be getting ill or something else. Martha and Michael are so great to Murray! They have a generous stock of toys and a deck/yard that the dogs can enjoy. We can tell that Murray is well taken care of because when he sees them, he's the most excited I've even seen him. They are very professional, reliable and effective with communication. Martha is exceptionally thorough, and spent over an hour getting to know us and Charlie when we first met her. Honestly, that first impression made me trust Martha so much! I always feel so confident leaving Charlie with Martha, and the fact that she has a key makes everything infinitely easier on us! My boyfriend and I both have extremely variable work schedules which change constantly, and sometimes turn into very long days. I feel awful writing a not-so-positive review. This might be my first one, however my experience was very strange with Wiggling tails. I had a great experience with Martha on the phone, but when both her & Michael came, it became awkward--fast. I'm writing more so that I hope Martha (& Michael) are a little better at communicating or at least less awkward. They didn't take care of my pets just as a disclaimer. We both didn't feel comfortable working with each other after our 1st encounter. I spoke with Martha on the phone, and she was quite pleasant. She was nice & asked quite a few questions about my pets. I made arrangements for her to take care of them the following week, which was great on short notice. She even offered to throw feeding my fish in for free; very sweet. I thought the pricing was a bit steep. $40/visit @ 2 visits/day (= $80) to feed my rabbits--this included cage cleaning, but I wasn't sure that was needed for the 2 days I'd be away. But hey, she was coming to me, so I got it. In the past, I've paid $25/day with 3 feedings, cleaning & all food & in the bay area, but I realize that's an awesome price. Martha even offered to charge less for days where she didn't clean the cage. Very nice! She was quite busy that week, so the meet and greet would be the next week--I had class soon after when she was coming, so I asked if she could email the forms, so I could fill them out to expedite our meeting. She ended up having an emergency, so she sent them to me just a few hours before meeting up. It was a work day, so I didn't quite have time to finish them. Again, not upset. It happens. Then she calls to say she's at my house. Cool. I come out and it's her & Michael--hadn't heard of him before, but no worries. I greet him, & he had this air of seeming like I was lucky he/ or they (still not sure what he was doing at my house) were taking care of my pets. Again, whatever, some people don't always have good first impressions (which is what I think he thought about me). So I tell them about my fence being a little weird to close. Then I take them to the house and say, "so here's the key in the lockbox." Martha tells me they don't do lock boxes, because it's inconvenient for them, & they like to take the key. I might've seemed slightly irritated--I've had tons of sitters both professional & friends, & they're all fine with it. I then said that they could take the key, and if they could just return it to the lockbox, that'd be fine. Martha tells me that's fine, but they have to do it when I'm home from my trip & it'll cost $25. But usually they hold onto the key (something I'm not supposed to do--I rent). I said that I was fine with them leaving it when I wasn't home in the lockbox. They say that they can't do that, because what if I'm delayed, how will they get the key. I say in the lockbox. They tell me it's not secure, which felt a little insulting, because it is a choice I've made. I asked if I could pick it up at their office, which they said yes, but at this point I'm just in shock that this is going so horribly so fast and I've known her and Michael all of 5 minutes. After a bit of back and forth, which was extremely awkward, Martha mentions she could maybe waive the $25 fee this time, but then seems to take it back. I told her that this just made me uncomfortable, because I only have two keys, and I don't have time to make another spare before I leave, & I'd prefer not to leave a key with someone indefinitely--I haven't used them before, so I want to reserve the right not to without having what feels like my key is being left hostage. And what if she loses it? I tell them that now I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable with this exchange, because I wish Martha would've mentioned this in the phone call, esp the $25 key return fee. She says it's all in the paperwork she sent (the one sent a few hours before on a *work day* that was 14 pages). I looked at the paperwork, and no where did it say they didn't allow for lockboxes. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think it's fair not to want to leave a key with someone indefinitely you've met the one time; and a big part of why I was feeling so uncomfortable was because they sounded very irritated with me for what I feel is reasonable, and continued giving each other alarmed glances. I used to work as a vet tech, and I get how crazy animal owners get, but I like to think I'm not one of those. At this point Michael jumps in and says that he thinks we should part ways, because clearly we both gave each other bad first impressions. I agree, but it was still so strange the way he said it. I think this whole thing could've been avoided. I just don't think this is how you do business. If when I mentioned my concern about having the key and being charged $25, Martha could've just offered to leave it in the lock box the one time or waived the fee right then. Crisis avoided, and potentially a long-term client with dog, fish, & rabbit sitting plus daily walking. read more

I travel a fair amount for work, and recently adopted a dog. I needed to find someone who could both board my big rescued Coonhound when I'm out of town, and also provide day care when I'm working in Pacifica. Who to call? Enter Martha and Wiggling Tails Pet Sitting Service. I found Martha through Task Rabbit, and she helped me out on very short notice. I needed her to come pick up Hank from my hotel every morning and drop him off each night, and she dealt with my crazy schedule with ease, and I each night I had a very happy and relaxed dog. The second time I need Martha was for a boarding experience, as I was going overseas. Once again, Martha worked with my schedule, and I dropped Hank off at her comfortable home. Throughout both experiences, I got video and photo updates (which, let's face it - one of the highlights of my day), as well as emails about how he was doing. Both Martha and her husband took Hank on many walks, which is essential for my never tires out endurance pup. It's always a little nerve wracking when you try out a new pet sitter, so I'm very glad that I found Martha. Her rates are affordable, and my dog adores her. read more

Martha is very kind to our extremely old Yorkie (15 years old) and our young cat. Since our dog is a senior, he requires a lot of special care and extra love, which she definitely seems to provide, and because our cat is almost always outdoors with no litter box, she doesn't charge us for his food / water services. Martha is very diligent about ensuring she understands the processes and expectations we have for her before we leave for a trip and making sure our dog is safe. She always sends us text messages during her visits to help ease our minds while away. When we come back, our little ones seem content as can be after leaving them! Payments are also easily handled online with my credit card, which I appreciate much more than check! The only small issue that is hard to get used to is giving Martha a key, which she keeps 24-7, instead of providing one for her only during visits. If I had it my way, I would prefer to keep a lockbox instead, but so far, we've had no problems with the arrangement. read more
