"I am extremely disappointed with my puppy's grooming experience. When I dropped him off, both of his eyes were perfectly fine. After I picked him up, one of his eyes was noticeably red, which was very upsetting and concerning. He was also there from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which seemed far too long for a puppy grooming appointment. I understand delays can happen, but I would have appreciated better communication throughout the day. As a pet owner, trusting someone with your puppy is a big deal. I left feeling heartbroken and upset about what happened. Because of this experience, I will not be bringing my baby back. Berkeley's been really sad since losing his big sis last week, and I knew he needed a little pick-me-up. From my first call with Oscar, I felt totally at ease--he was warm and reassuring, and I just knew Berkeley would be in good hands. At pickup, I met Trini, who was so kind. once again, this review is long overdue since it's been three years since the last time I did one. Oscar and his family at pampered pet are amazing! The care and special handling of all pets they work on is exceptional. My two scaredy-cats adore them and they always come out beautiful and truly pampered. It is difficult to find anyone who will groom cats and give the same outstanding service that dogs consistently get. We do have to admit cats are difficult and mine can be very difficult yet Oscar handles them with kid gloves, and they truly look like they've been to a beauty salon. My long hair cat gets a lion cut, which is difficult to achieve, but Oscar makes her look like the queen of the beasts every time! read more

I really hope I'm wrong, maybe it was his dog but I was sitting in my car waiting to pick someone up and thought how cool young guys with a dog grooming shop. Until I watch the dog get fussy as he was trimming the face. He shook the little dog, I don't know if the dog nipped him but then he grabbed it by the neck. I honked my horn. He looked at me and continued on, a guy who was standing outside wondered why I honked but walked inside and said nothing to the groomer, who was still trying to trim the dog's face. Again, I really hope I'm wrong but I did see how he was treating the little dog. This coming from someone who had a groomer as my dog started getting older nipped her, she comforted him and gave him a kiss as I watched from outside. read more

Oscar is great! He provided excellent service. I used to go here since my dog was a puppy. My dog got his first grooming experience here and Oscar was very gentle and treated my dog as if it was his. I have no complain except when Oscar is out when I have an appointment. I went there for appointment and his parents charged me almost 3 times of what Oscar normally charges me. And when I question it, his mom always say everything went up and she gave me mean look. I understand that rent goes up but to the point charge customer 3x the normal price, that was outrageous!!!! Then I called and did speak to someone and set up an appointment. The day I went to the business at the proper time there was no one there. And I waited for about half an hour and no one showed up. Injured Cat! Went here for the first time since I was trying to book a flea bath ASAP for my cat. Flea bath services included a nail trim as well. Came to pick up my cat 1 and half hours later and found MOST ALL OF HIS NAILS WERE BLEEDING. Guy doing the services lied and said was because my cat did not like the water and was trying to claw everything to get out. I unfortunately paid for the services and left. So distracted by the nails I almost forgot to go back in and ask about the flea problem! Soooooo very upset and cried on the way home. How can you work at a grooming place and not know how to trim a cats nails?!?! Please don't take your animals here. read more

I've been here several times and never had an issue until yesterday. Maybe it was a different groomer, I don't know, but I just got back home from Tahoe and had my dog taken in for a cut before Christmas. Groomer gave me back my dog with two nicks and he was still actively bleeding when he gave our dog back to us. Terrible - and upon picking up my dog back up, they didn't even apologize for cutting him. Could've lead to an infection if we didn't put ointment on him in time. DO NOT come here unless you want your dog to get cut and abused. Go to the place on the same block, Le Chien Fortune. That's where I'll be taking my dog to instead. read more

This is the WORST pet groomer. If you have an appointment at 10am they won't call you to pick up your dog till 3PM...Not just that, they leave ur dog in a cage for HOURS before even starting on their haircuts. If my appointment is at 10am and they don't start on my dogs cut at 1 Pm why is my dog waiting in a cage for that many hours?? If that's the case why can't my dog and I come in when they CAN start .. Having dogs wait in cages for more than 4 hours without food and water is ABUSE . I called the place to let them know how I feel and how it's wrong and he hung up the phone on me. This place is VERY unprofessional and dirty inside as well. They will lock ur dog in a cage for hours before they even start on them. What are they doing with my dog for that long? read more

We were recommended to them by Karen Luchessi,as she & I started talking "dogs",while I was recouping from hip surgery.She mentioned this groomer,as they are very close to our home.Nugget,our now 6+ yr old Chi-mix,is a very 'unsocialble' ,barking,snarling mess of a dog,who constantly needs her 'bum-squeezed' (if ya know what I mean!) We walked in,sat down,Oscar (or his brother,brother-in-law: not sure),which one,greeted us,listened to out concerns.Nugget is a very timid,shy 16 lb Chi-mix,we adopted from SFSPCA 4 yrs ago at the onset of covid.Dont know if that had anything to do with her 'sheltered,kind of personality even to this day' ,but she did & continues to allow them to handle her,take care of her/our needs & without any fussing,snarling or barking as she often does even to me when I kiss her! Let me start by saying we love our cat but she's an acquired taste. Like with most cats, she is very particular - she owns the world she lives, very outspoken, and she can count her friends on one paw. That said, we were more than a little worried about her first trip to the groomers (will she hiss? will she scratch? will she get along with the groomers?). But alas, we had no choice. She recently stopped maintaining herself to the standard she's used to and started getting matted patches. We tried to comb them out but we just couldn't! My fiance recalled that his family used to take their family pets to The Pampered Pet in Millbrae so we gave them a call. The person who picked up was very friendly and understanding of our concerns. He even offered to let my fiance watch the grooming process for the first 30 minutes even though it's not their standard practice. This eased our minds and we booked an appointment! My fiance brought her in for the appointment. There was another cat being groomed when he arrived. The cat was just quietly staring around which calmed his nerves. When asked if this was normal, he was told that it was. He felt comfortable enough to just leave our cat there without watching (huge positive sign). She ended up getting the mats combed out/cut away and her nails trimmed. The whole process was pretty quick since we got a call two hours later saying she was all done! When asked how she did, we were told she was very (unexpected in our book) well behaved. She had an accident while there and the groomer noticed that she was very hesitant because she didn't want to get her fur wet so they trimmed her bottom as well. Overall, the most "traumatic" part of this experience for her was the car ride and had nothing to do with the grooming process. It's been half a week and her fur is still super soft, her nails are trimmed down, and even her liter box trips are shorter! She was returned to us smelling powder fresh - something I didn't quite care for but my fiance really liked. I really appreciate the attentiveness and care (I'm sure patience as well) with our cat on her first trip to the groomers. We'll definitely be back. read more

My sister brought in her dog and someone at pampered pets had the coronavirus and they told us to come back another day and for the inconvenience they would give us an another appointment on the house. And she is from LA and I sent her there because she was visiting. I'm a first responders Registered Nurse and he treated me with the upmost disrespect while I'm out trying help the community and the the son of the owner said I was "hostile" over the phone, when I brought up free grooming and then hung up the phone. We are in a Shelter in place but our Beagle really needed his nails trimmed. We call his vet and the said that they couldn't take him because it was a non essential service but they gave us 2#'s to someone that could help. We called one no answer, So my husband said I think there's a groomer in Milbrea that he's seen. We drove there and it looked plain and it was closed, so we called and they answered immediately, we made an appointment for the next day. Brought our Beagle and the place is small very clean affordable and the guy was so so pleasant we were so happy to have experienced a service here. We will DEFINITELY be back.
