We used this mobile grooming service for a routine appointment. During the nail trim, the groomer cut our dog's nails too short(deep into the quick), resulting in significant and prolonged bleeding. This was not a minor nick. The bleeding was substantial and not handled appropriately on-site, which is especially concerning given this was a mobile groomer operating independently. They did not inform us of the injury, nor did they trear the injury. We documented the injury with photos. We contacted the company to report what happened. Their response was to characterize the incident as an "inconvenience" and offer a $25 discount, while stating the service had been "completed as requested." There was no acknowledgment of the severity of the injury, no accountability, and no indication of corrective action. For clarity: this was an avoidable injury during a basic service, followed by a dismissive response. We used this mobile grooming service for a routine appointment. Our groomer Sam was amazing! Our cocker spaniel Domingo hates the groomers and it has been tough finding one that will accept him. Sam made sure that Domingo was comfortable and looked after. He came out very squeaky clean and handsome. The agency is very communicative and comes to your own home. We will be booking here again! 10/10 recommend read more

Easy to schedule with, fairly on-time (and was communicative about being in transit), quietly got a full bath and groom done in the 90 minutes he promised at the onset, and most importantly my dog went walking up to Martinho with tail wagging from the start and was calm coming out - this was also my dog's first experience with a bath and cut that we didn't do ourselves at home, so props to the groomer for being a dog-approved gentle soul! read more

I was experiencing difficulty finding a new groomer as I moved to a new area and a lot of the groomers around the area were not accepting new clients. I had heard about mobile grooming however I just couldn't find the right place, whether it was due to the price, reviews, or the grooming style. Just as I was going to give up and travel quite a distance to my old groomer, I saw that my neighbor uses Shine Mobile Grooming for their pup. Although I was a bit confused at first on how to book the appointment online as I thought a haircut and bath were two separate costs, I contacted the company immediately and they responded in a few minutes. Sam came by this morning (right on time!) and we spoke about my expectations. 2 hours later, my pup had the most perfect teddy bear cut. She was extremely matted and while other groomers would have shaved her completely, Sam was able to give us the cut we asked for. I am very grateful and happy to have found Shine Mobile Grooming and highly recommend them! read more

Schneider...was great! I have a Morkie named Zoe & she really needed a cut badly, so I'm glad he was available so last minute, I called that same day. I was a little hesitant because I've never used this site before, it was my first time. I only waited an hour and a half and he was done on time! I definitely recommend him! He was respectful with my specific instructions & I was very happy! read more

We've been looking for a new groomer after moving to the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco and recently saw Shine Mobile's van. We reached out to set up an appointment and they were very responsive and made scheduling a breeze. Sam arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and gave our two dogs a light trim and bath (their VIP package). Sam did a fantastic job on our American Eskimo and Australian Shepherd pups and we couldn't be happier with his service. Shine Mobile Grooming will be our new go-to groomer moving forward. Can't recommend them enough! read more

Our Aussie needed a grooming BAD! His fur gets matted behind his ears really easily and he was overdue for a snazzy new haircut. I was able to schedule a next day appointment and the groomer got to our house right on time. His appointment was 2 hours long and he came back a brand new dog! He looks so cute and clean and I am really appreciative of the work the groomer did. Thank you! We'll definitely use you for all our grooming needs for Kodak in the future. read more

I would have given 0 stars if that is possible. I told him full wash, cut but my dog is a corgi and the fur did not grow back fast. It should be a trim and do not cut short . He showed me a clipper and I said I do not understand clipper but do not cut short. I told him that fur do not grow back fur fast on a corgi He practically shaved the fur off my dog and upon further conversation, he does not understand English nor understand different breed of the dog. Now our dog will be cold in the body with a full head of fur. This is a guy in a van, giving bad groom jobs. I paid the guy and this is a real review. DO NOT USE THIS GUY. I am doubting the positive reviews. He threatened legal action on a bad review. read more

Overall it was a very convenient grooming :) I got the groom that same day when I called. Cash (my boy) didn't get any cut on his body which is a plus. Since he's was super fluffy, kind of matted and wanted to give him a quick summer cut (pictures below) he still look super cute but I'm just not used to the shaved look. He's happy now it looks like he enjoyed the his summer cut read more

We had a wonderful experience today and will definitely work with shine mobile grooming again! We have a goldendoodle but like him cut short. Most groomers never listen to what we ask and give a typical teddy bear cut. This was a much better experience and we got exactly what we asked for. read more

Really fantastic experience. Groomer arrived 7 minutes before the appointment time, easy to communicate, no hassle, and my dog Jima looks better than ever. Highly recommend and would definitely book again. Edit: I also want to add that when the groomer came back to my house after the groom, my dog appear relax and happy. This doesn't always happen; the groomer must have been very kind to my dog. Just highly recommend! read more

This was Charlie's second grooming and I was nervous about his behavior as he was very fidgety his first time, but the groomer ensured that he will do his best. After the service, the groomer mentioned there might be areas that are uneven due to Charlie moving around a lot but he turned out great! Our groomer did an amazing job. Will be using them again for future services. Thank you Shine Mobile Grooming! read more

It's really nice having the groomer come to your house. It's even better when they come quickly and they know what they're doing. Schneider and his helper (sorry, dude, I didn't get your name) are very responsive and eager to please. Most important, they do good work. It's a little more expensive than taking your pup to a brick and mortar shop, but it's worth it to keep your dog close to home in an environment he's used to that's a lot less noisy than a typical doggy salon. My little poodle Buddy is a sweet old pup who turned into a nervous wreck when I had to drop him off at (old groomer.) Schneider took good care of him and gave him just the clip I was looking for. In the end, we were all happy and I didn't have to leave the house. I've got a new groomer! One thing: Schneider speaks Portuguese and his English isn't great. He can get by, but if you have detailed instructions you should have Google Translate handy. Then you shouldn't have any problem. read more

This was our first time using a mobile grooming service and we couldn't be happier! Our Joey is as handsome as ever. Schineider and his partner did a great job. They did exactly as I asked and were friendly and accommodating. We definitely recommend Shine Mobile Dog Grooming! read more

They did a great job with my puppy's bath and trim. My puppy is feisty when it comes to baths and grooming in general (he hates everything). The groomer was able to take care of him and did a great job. I was specific about what I wanted and they completed my request down to the last detail. My only additional request would be that they brush him off after the cut to get any loose hairs off. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the end results and would definitely use their services again. read more

I don't remember the guy's name that came to groom my pittie. But she was well taken care of. He did a great job with her!

I am so so glad we booked! Best grooming the pups have had in awhile. The dogs get groomed every 2-3 months. I was a little apprehensive since there were not many reviews but I am so happy we chose Shine Mobile. They were on time, efficient and professional. Schineider did an amazing job with our pups! They look SO good. I have pretty specific guidelines - showed a few pictures and he did a really great job. We wanted a little mohawk on our smaller dog and he nailed it. I can usually find some missed patch or something I think could have been done better - but there is nothing for me to even mention here. It really is the best grooming they have had in quite some time. I feel like our pups were in good hands. I highly recommend trying them out if you are looking for a new groomer. read more

I am so incredibly pleased with the service from Shine. My labradoodle is 10 years old and our long time groomer moved out of the area. Great experience for 8-month-old Labradoodle puppy Luna. She has a lot of energy and had been challenging to get her groomed. He did a great job, in a timely manner, without waiting for hours. Showed up right on time and did a beautiul job with our Husky. Ella seemed happy and relaxed and after a brief step away from the van for a pee, was eager to greet Schneider again (signs to me that he treated her well and she wasn't afraid to pop back into the van). Did a really wonderful job. Would use again and highly recommend. Our dog is reactive on the leash so taking her into a multi-dog grooming shop is less than ideal for me. The mobile option was so nice and it only takes 2 hours vs 1/2 of your day! read more

Wow - top rating for this service! I booked a visit online for the following day for our cotton de tulear - she is very nervous and her coat can be a challenge to groom. This was my first mobile dog grooming experience and it was a great one! Shine Mobile Grooming will be our new go-to when it comes to our Tibetan Terrier Harley. The price was a little more reasonable than other mobile groomers and Schneider was so nice and so good! Harley got a great cut and just the right length - I asked not too short - as many groomers shave him too too short. One of the best haircuts he ever had. Thank you so much for your service. My appt was 3 weeks ago- my groomer's name was something like Chiago and I'm probably getting that wrong. Anyway, I want to use him again as he did a fantastic job on my mini aussie doodle and cut his hair just the way I wanted it.
