We love Here,Doggy! The owners are amazing to both dogs and humans. My dog has been going to them twice a week for day care and we've also done weekend stays and recently a long 2-week stay with them. I love that they think about the needs of both dogs and owners by providing live webcams so we can always see what our dog is up to, easy drop off and pickups and personalized notes about how our dog did during her long stays with them. The owners/workers always greet us with a smile and I appreciate that they're not afraid to tell us if they think something looks off with our dog. It shows they care. I am way way overdue for a review. My dog has been coming to Here, Doggy for almost 3 years. Even though we've moved further away, we still come back here for our daycare and boarding needs. We've heard about other doggy day cares from our friends and family and honestly, nothing seems to compare to the great experience here! My dog LOVES coming here and starts crying from excitement the moment we hit SSF. They have lots of room to run around, whether it be outdoors or indoors with beds and blankets, the entire time they're there. There's no "play time" that you have to pay extra for. Everyone is so sweet and they all know him by name. There's been a few times where they've noticed that he seemed unlike himself and/or tired/sick and I really appreciate that they noted that and let us know. I also really appreciate all the thought they put into maintaining a good and safe environment for the dogs. They do a trial run to make sure each dog is a good fit. They're conscious about the number of dogs too to ensure that they're not overpacked and the staff are not overworked. I will forever be recommending any pet owners to Here, Doggy! read more

The star of the show was Bethina (really hope I'm spelling her name correctly). We have a 4 mo. old pup, first time grooming. Bethina took her time & was kind enough to explain her process & rationale on her approach to puppies getting groomed first time, this is epitome of A1 customer service! Brought my baby dachshund here for grooming. She smells nice and clean. Nails are not really trimmed short. The place is clean and quiet. Not sure how many staff they have but when I came to pick up my baby, there's no one in the counter. Its says text Mauricio (which I did) and still none. After 15-25 minutes of waiting, he showed up and said he was grooming a dog and can't leave him by himself which I understand. Just hope this does not happen all the time. The groomer, Bethina is horrible. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO HER. She hurt my dog. I told her 5x before his first visit not to touch his anal glands, and she extracted them anyway without my consent and hurt my dog. I had to take him to the ER because he was so painful. I hope HereDoggy does the right thing and gets rid of her and gets a reputable groomer. My dog was prescribed 2 medications at the ER tonight, and I received the message below. I stand by review, and it saddens me to see such a lack of empathy from the owner. I am also concerned about how low their standards are. How many dogs does she have to hurt to the level of needing an ER visit before they take action? She did not make a mistake. She ignored my multiple requests. There is a BIG difference. I will be taking my business to a reputable groomer and hope Bethina doesn't do this again to any other dog. Oh my gosh, Mauricio is an absolute artist and puppy whisperer! We found Mauricio through our new incredible dog trainer (also a puppy whisperer), Marwa. It was so easy to book with Mauricio - Cryss helped answer our first time puppy owner questions and was able to snag us an appt within the week and shared clear instructions on how to check in as it was going to be on a Sunday. We instantly loved Mauricio, he listened, asked questions, he was so calm, so knowledgable, shared his much welcome advice and made efforts to bond with Maverick while we were talking. Fast forward 2 hours later and we were greeeted by Mauricio and the most fluffy, gorgeous and happy Maverick!! Mavs is a 17 week old australian labradoodle puppy - wiggly as all get out and does not like the shears! Mauricio left all the fluff as we requested and cut around his eyes/nose perfectly and his paws are the most perfectly groomed bear paws now! We can't rave enough about Mauricio!! He did the most amazing grooming of Maverick - didn't cut too much, but just enough and we have the cuttest little teddy bear even 6 days later! I have a co-worker who always steers me in the right direction when it comes to finding care for my dogs. After trying to find an individual to watch my dogs for an upcoming trip to no avail, he recommended I check out Here, Doggy. What a find! The staff here were great when I brought my two little ones in for an evaluation. One of my guys is very easy going and has no problem fitting in. The other has "small dog syndrome" with an anxiety level like no other. I was worried we would get turned down like at the individual sitters, but they were welcoming and willing to work with him to get him more comfortable. After a couple of visits, the two are doing great with daycare and even after an overnight boarding. I'm confident they will be left in good hands when we go on our long trip. Now they get excited, in a good way, when they know they are heading to Here, Doggy. I know they have a good time when I pick them up and they want to nap in the car (and I peek at them every now and then on the webcams). This week we brought them in for grooming and they came out with crisp cuts looking fresh and clean. So thankful for my co-worker's suggestion to try out Here, Doggy. This review is not based off the job that they do. They may very well do a very good job, however I have not had the pleasure of finding out. I was not going to leave a 1 star review originally, however the email I received today tells me how poor the communication is between the groomer and other workers. And it reminded me of how hard i tried to give them my business and was basically ignored by the groomer. I tried calling Here Doggy's groomer multiple times, leaving messages to find out a quote and perhaps a new regular groomer and boarder. I never heard back from Mauricio. I tried creating an account online to find out more info, but was unable to schedule an appointment. I reached out via Yelp and received responses that were very informative on the boarding but still unable to get a firm quote or appointment for grooming. I was redirected to call Mauricio again, which I did. Once again he did not call back so I reached out through Yelp again. I was then told he had been sick, which is understandable. I was also then told that if he didn't call back it probably meant that he did not have any vacancies in the near future and to try again. This is all fine and dandy, except I was never contacted by the groomer himself! I never received any return phone call or voicemail. Fast forward to over a month later...for some reason I have now received an email requesting that I pay for someone else's dog's grooming session. This was after never even being able to complete an account online since I had never been into see them. I am sure they are a great facility due to all of the amazing reviews, however my experience to even get a quote and set an appointment has been far from even acceptable. read more

My lil Frenchie LOVES here doggy. He will bring me his collar when he see's me put my shoes on so he can come with me. He always comes home happy and tired...and a tired dog is a happy dog! I take him here several times a month to get him out to play with other dogs and get him out of the house. My dog NEEDS this stimulation and its been a wonderful experience for he and I both. Here, Doggy! is a godsend. For so long, we'd been getting away with having friends watch our anxious husky puppy Oz, who isn't the best with all other dogs. There came a weekend when no one was available, so it was time to take the leap of faith. Our good friend recommended Here, Doggy! which I hadn't considered because of its location in South SF. We don't have a car, so getting here can be a bit of a challenge. I had an intake phone call anyways with one of the staff members and setup an evaluation appointment. Jess (the owner) is very professional and firm. She really doesn't mess around. She was blunt when it came to telling me what our dog needs to work on and the process for easing him into the Here, Doggy! community. We scheduled a few more test daycares and boardings. To my surprise, Oz passed! Watching him ACTUALLY play nice with other dogs over webcam is such a joy. The trainers are amazing and their use of different techniques to manage so many dogs is impressive. I'd given up on taking Oz to the dog park because he kept getting attacked and became reactive himself, but this place has helped me understand him better. He's far more amicable towards other dogs, and I feel more confident as a dog owner. Scheduling daycare and boarding is a breeze online. Pickup and dropoff is easy. We've been coming here for about a year and I initially loved it because it HAD that mom and pop business feel. They have only one groomer on site and for the past year, he's done really well with my dog, but lately the quality of the cuts have been inconsistent. His groom time has gotten significantly shorter and that could be a combination that they've become familiar with each other, but given the uneven cuts, the lesser time on him shows. Regarding the day care staff, there is one lady with short brown hair that whenever I have to explain why I'm there, it's as though she's not paying attention. I have to repeat myself several times and she'll repeat back something completely different. There were other concerns that I expressed in-person and thought everything went well. Fast forward to a couple of weeks and every time I call to schedule an appointment, I'm told that there's no availability. I usually come in on days that are less busy and now all of a sudden, they're completely booked?! Now my calls aren't getting returned and after a few days of trying to make this appointment happen, I'm moving on. I really don't like having to shuffle my dog around especially after he's acclimated here, but it's apparent that because I expressed concerns, I'm now met with resentful and unprofessional reciprocation. It was never my intention to offend anyone by bringing up a concern. I used to witness similar things like this from the corporate world, an employer who didn't like a staff member would reduce their hours because the employee voiced an opinion that differed from theirs. Sadly it seems that it's better to stay quiet than to speak out and risk some form of retaliation. This has been really disappointing because it affects my dog and I'm disgusted at the moral and spiteful behavior from the staff. read more

We started bringing our dog, Gus, to this daycare since he was a puppy. When we first started bringing Gus to Here, Doggy!, we definitely got the mom and pop feel, and really felt like the owner and sitters care about the dogs. Over a year later, while there has been a lot of growth and change at the daycare, including a reasonable price increase, one thing that has not changed is that we can still tell that everyone still cares and have the dogs best interests in mind at all times. We bring our pup to daycare on average of once a week, and he has boarded a handful of times, as well. Gus is quite naughty and gets time-outs VERY frequently. Despite this, he starts barking with excitement the minute he sees us drive up to the building, and literally drags me inside every single time. He begs to be let into the back asap, and does not even look back to say, "Bye, mom!". We love checking in on the webcams throughout the day to see how our pup is doing. When we pick him up, he is a happy, exhausted (albeit dirty) dog. Our pup loves this place, and we are happy to have found a spacious, affordable, convenient daycare that Gus loves. read more

We have an "interesting" rescue dog and between our long time dog walker moving away and selling our house - being in transition for several months - this place literally was a life saver for us. Am due for an update to my review from last year because Here Doggy continues to impress and we continue to love taking our dog here! We have been bringing our dog here since when these new owners took over from the old business that used to be here (Planet Pooch) and we continue to be very happy customers! Jessica and her husband do a fantastic job running this dog daycare and it's clear they **care** about the dogs they watch and also care about making sure their employees are well-trained and happy. It's impressive to watch how much these new owners have spruced up the building and facilities with nice paint, fun designs, interesting things for the dogs to play on, and a classroom. They cleaned up what used to be a big bland airport hanger style building and continue to work on it- there is something going on and each week I pick up my dog there are new updates or cool new touches. One thing that is awesome and impressive is the staff here actually know our dog's temperament and seem to pay attention to how he's doing. I was really thankful to hear when he was acting a little sick from them because it not only was remarkable how the employees were watching and paying attention to the dog and demonstrates they really do care about the woofers who hang out there all day. Another great change for Here Doggy from the old owners is that now the webcams are on and reliably work!! The only place they were offline a lot or down, kinda fuzzy and you could never see the dogs. It is really fun to check in on our pooch and see what he is up to and how much fun he is having running around. I recently at work put the dogs playing here up on my giant conference screen at work and it was very cute we were all enjoying watching them play :) Overall, I think this is one of the best dog daycare facilities in the Bay Area. He has a big personality and I'm a helicopter dog mom and I know it- I watch the webcams, call to check in and send him with a lunch. The safety and happiness of my boy is the most important thing to me. He has separation anxiety so leaving him at home while I'm in the office was never an option. The team at Here, Doggy brought us into their family. Always reassuring an anxious mom and giving extra scratches to my boy. He was usually there 5 days a week, but with COVID, we don't go into the office anymore. Highly recommend this great daycare for pups. I bring my two young Doberman's (Cody and Shelby) here on a fairly regular basis - at least twice per week for the last few months. As far as engagement with the owners- I can tell you that Jessica is the best I've met so far, and I've dragged my two pups to quite few places in the last six months. First, a couple notes about my lovebugs, they are littermates (Brother-Sister), large breed dogs that get fairly rough when playing. Jessica knew exactly how to maintain peace between the two of them and goes out of her way to really get to know your dog's behavior. Second, I love the ease of booking, dropping off/picking up and paying. It's all ONLINE and very easy once you and your pup are approved. Truly the easiest and most convenient I've found out of five other daycares. Third, and this is most important to me, I am able to monitor my pups all day long via the live camera feed. I can watch to make sure they are not chasing each other too hard, see when they get pulled out to take their naps and/or get fed. It's the best and easiest way for me to make sure my fur babes are having a good time! Finally, in November my pups went through a rigorous 4-week training with a private trainer in San Diego, so they have the eight commands down pat. However, sometimes being in an unstructured daycare could derail that training, and when I spoke with Jessica she totally understood our goals and my pups continue to maintain their good behavior when they get home. Big props to Jennifer and crew! Love the indoor/outdoor space, it's super clean and very well maintained. Groomer onsite (even the weekends) and they are very accommodating with odd schedules like mine. My pups are so thoroughly engaged that they can barely stay awake in the car on our way home! Here, Doggy! daycare is by far the best daycare I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot. The owners are amazing and took the time to get to know my dogs. I loved watching the video feed and seeing them getting pets from the workers. The space is huge and they have separate areas for dogs with different energy levels. They have time out areas when the dogs get too rough (One of mine was always in there and deserved it lol) I also have to give them a huge shout out for allowing my long-term foster dog to visit once a week. This review is for their grooming services. I booked this place pretty last minute as my dog needed a huge makeover. They were able to fit me in on the day I wanted (about 3 days later). I vaguely told the groomer what I wanted, which was everything.. wash, shave down to 1/2 inch, nails. When I picked up my dog, she was noticeably happier with her new look and she looked so good. My girls (two poodles) both just love Mauricio, one is older and very skittish (basically fearful of everyone) and I see how gentle he is with her. Not only does she look and smell great; she isn't traumatized or anxious afterward. My other dog is more sociable and easier to handle, but he is great with both of them. I see how Mauricio inspires trust in my dogs--and that makes me trust him with their care. I have been going to him for a few years now (worth the drive!). I want to make sure my dog is well cared for, and has all the space he needs to run and play. When I stumbled upon here, doggy I found just that. Jessica and her team genuinely care about each and every dog. They are compassionate and love what they do! My 8 year old golden came back tired and happy after a full day of daycare. We were supposed to board with them but due to a family emergency had to cancel, but we will definitely reschedule! I love that everything is online as well. From booking to inputting my dogs medications, it can be done easily online. Also, they respond very quickly to emails and phone calls. The webcams are a plus too!
