It was my first time dealing with the grooming department and I was not happy with their customer service. I walked into the grooming center and these two women looked at each other and then looked at me like what I was doing there... No greeting or anything. All they said was what's the pets name rudely as if I was a walk in and did not make an appointment which I did. We were 15 minutes early and she said we can wait until our appointment time. I had explained to her that I needed to goto work and if I could leave my dog. She abruptly said no, I'd need to wait because she was behind. I just left because I'm not dealing with a groomer who can't give me decent respect. What makes me think they will treat my dog in the same manner when I'm not there. Absolutely not. I went last night and they are charging all kinds of taxes on your purchases I purchased $28 was my total and they charged me $4.88 for taxes on $28 bill. They broke it down a city tax state tax county tax and two special tax's. I called corporate office and they couldn't answer me on why they're charging this. I was originally getting my pup groomed at the Petsmart Walnut location but I had to move to this one because I moved to the Chino location. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here. I've only been here twice. The first time I got my pup groomed she got a bath and hair cut. I was met with very sweet groomers and one of them even gave me a progress report of her behavior. My puppy left clean and no injuries. The second time I came, I went for a bath and trim. I wish there was an option for that on the app, but that's not something the store can control. I thought all was well, but when I came home, I noticed that a chunk of my puppy's fur was ripped out near her eye, exposing pink irritated skin. It was slightly bleeding, and she was pawing at it because it was irritating her. Luckily, the bleeding stopped and it scabbed over a bit. I was distraught. I have NEVER had this happen at a salon before. Usually her eye gunk is handled with care, especially if it's near her eye. However, this wasn't the part that infuriated me. I called this Petsmart the next day to ask about treating this injury. The person that groomed her answered the phone. She was very defensive and would not take accountability for what she did, and instead blamed me for not taking care of my dog's eye gunk properly. She also denied that she did not rip her fur out, and that the irritation is caused from the eye gunk. I felt like my needs were not being heard, and that she wasn't being empathetic with what I was trying to say. I just wanted to know how to treat this, and advice on how to prevent eye gunk buildup in the future. Regardless, this still has never happened with a previous salon before. I think the least they could have done for me is to inform me that this happened when I picked her up and how to prevent this from happening again in the future. I was told to just put Neosporin on the wound and go to Banfield if anything worse happens, which is an extra $70 out of my pocket. Petsmart, please properly train your groomers. I recognize that I'm not the only person here who has had issues with the groomers here. read more

I feel like a lot of the reviews shared on Yelp in general are people wanting to talk about the bad and never quite speaking up about the good when it happens, so I wanted to talk about the good! So far I've only taken my pup in to this location's grooming salon twice but I love how well he comes out and how he's treated! I had previously taken him to local small business groomers in Chino Hills where I felt like they didn't make an effort to ask me what I really wanted or how I liked the results, and during the last pickup I made with that local groomer, I saw one yanking harshly on the leash to get another dog to sit still for their cut when they weren't even acting out; needless to say, I now felt COMPLETELY uncomfortable taking my dog there if this was how they were acting with clients watching them from behind the counter. I made my decision to come here based off of the salon reviews on this location's Petsmart page which I feel gives a generally more accurate impression of the salon and it's groomers rather than the Yelp reviews. This is Mimo's second bath and cut with Kaitlyn and she treats him so well and makes sure I'm well informed of how things went during the visit too! This may seem minor to some people, but her report cards are really great too! I've been to other locations with other dogs where I would just get a one-liner about their visit, but Kaitlyn really goes above and beyond with hers. I came to this PetSmart because I was searching for a pet store where I can do a curbside pickup. The roadmap is very simple and here is what you do: Place the order online, call them to confirm your order (b/c the website will not send you a confirmation email), drive to PetSmart, park at the designated pick up spot, call the store again and tell them you are here while pop up your trunk. Lastly, wait for one of the employees to bring your pets' goodies out! Also, if you do pick up instead of delivery, you will get 10% off your purchase. So it makes a pretty big difference when you are buying pricy tick and flea meds for your pets! This contactless pick up just going to give you all the convenience and peace of mind you need during this time. The staff was super nice and friendly. Literally just saw a manager run out with a lifeless dog in his arms to the vet. It was coming out of the groomers section. The owner seemed confused and the groomer who I assume was telling him his dog was having a seizure. I appreciate the manager rushing out to a emergency vet but man that really left me with anxiety. I have small dogs truth be told, I'm terrified to take my dogs to any groomer. I hope the pup ends up being okay and reunited with his owner. read more

My dog was a little scared but she's been abandoned, pretty much her whole life. So of course I felt horrible leaving her. They said they tried reaching me but All they did was send a Tex to me at the time my appointment was scheduled which they sent after I was there I was there 10 mins earlier than apt and gone before 9am. I take my, I mean my wife's, Yorkie to Petsmart on a regular basis for grooming. The staff is friendly, and they routinely cut our dog's hair and nails exactly how we request. Appointments are available, and they allow you to drop off early if necessary. Our dog seems happy with the services at Petsmart, and she is not stressed by the process. Petsmart always makes our dog look her best. Many of the prices for supplies at Petsmart are reasonable. Although Petsmart allows dog (obviously) inside the store, this store is very clean and organized. We are very satisfied with this store, and professionalism of the employees. read more

The manager I talked to about the dead fish said there's nothing they can do they lose a lot during this time because of the weather! Wtf your suppose to be the experts adjust things so this doesn't happen. It's actually really sad how much they don't care. Do not give Petsmart your business! They are so rough with your pet. The groomers don't even pretend to be gentle when they comb the dogs hair!! They refuse to brush the hair out like civilized people and just jam the comb thru the poor dogs hair like jerks. I asked the girl what she would do if her hair stylist combed through your hair like that!! She just laughed. They are totally dishonest and always claim AFTER you leave that the dog has "knots" or matting and you'll have to pay $40 extra if you want them to "gently" comb them out, otherwise it's free to rip the comb through their hair while the dog cries...which one would you like? Liz IS A TERRIBLE GROOMER. She should not be working as a dog groomer. You can tell Liz is inexperienced and timid when it comes to larger dogs. We have a 50 lb medium sized dog and she clearly cannot work with "larger" animals. We dropped off our dog and didn't even make it out of the parking lot before she called us for pick up. Our dog has been groomed for 7+ years and has never had an issue. Not to mention he's a fully trained service animal!! Up front and already noted on his file we told her he does not like his front nails trimmed so try but if he's not having it just don't do it. Rather than starting the bath and groom she went straight to his nails. You would think she would want to gain trust from the dog as this was her first interaction with him, but no she went straight to the one issue he has with grooming. Liz made a comment that we were her last client and that she would be done quickly. It's almost like she didn't want the business and intentionally canceled us. Terrible employee. No words to express but angry . I placed an order this morning to come into the store with it still not being ready took me two seconds to pick out my two items myself . Very rare that this situation has happened but I have no hesitation to grab my items it's the satisfaction of it being ready for pick up . Due to my items not being ready I asked the girl if I can grab them she then voices over to her manager he confirms that I can . And as soon as I got up to the front the girl let's me know I have to pay again and they'll refund the order or I can come back in TWO HRS I explained to her my two items were in front of her and I seen no issue as to why this couldn't have been scanned it. smh ! I'm infuriated. All we wanted was a bath and a nail trim. Simple right? Does it warrant a 4 hour stay with my rescue being put in a kennel?!? Why are you scheduling multiple dogs at one time for one person?? I made an appointment for a reason. There is no logical way to multi-task here. I can't wrap my head around this procedure. Perhaps if I could, I wouldn't be so pissed. I was told "it's a 2 to 3 hour procedure" which in itself is ridiculous. When I go back at 3 hours and I'm told "he's no where near being done!" How? Please explain how it takes 4 hours for a bath? They repeatedly said it was because they take multiple dogs at one time. Again...how does it make sense to do that??? You're one person?!? You don't have 8 arms!!!! And then when I finally picked him up after 4 hours, I'm told he wouldn't go back in the kennel so I'll have to pay extra for "express" service next time. Would you go back in the kennel after spending the entire day at a pet store when all you wanted was a bath?! I also do not believe he received any water to drink during the whole 4 hours. He was dying of thirst when he got home. Never a friggin gain. It's far less traumatizing bathing him at home. It ruined my entire day and traumatized my poor pup. I'll never forgive myself for putting him through that for a measley bath. Do it at home. Save the money, the time and the trauma. read more
