ve been bringing my dogs here for about a year and never had any issues until recently. The staff has always been friendly, but this last visit left me very concerned. After grooming, one of my dogs came home with a severe rash all over her body and she did not want to eat poor thing was in pain, and my other dog was struggling to open his eyes. When I called to ask if any new products had been used, I was told it was just hair stuck in my dog's eye and that the rash was likely a flea bite. My dogs do not have fleas, and after bathing them at home, the rash disappeared the next day. That doesn't sound like a flea bite to me--it seems more like a reaction to something used during grooming. What's most disappointing is not just what happened, but how it was handled. Instead of taking accountability or showing concern, the situation was brushed off and made to seem like it was my dogs' fault. As a pet owner, that was very upsetting. Sadly, I can't trust bringing my dogs back here again. I'm sharing this so other dog lovers can be aware and make an informed decision when choosing a groomer. read more

Very friendly staff. As soon as I walked in the owner took my dogs and was very gentle and nice to them. I loved it, she was very communicative about the process, the dog bath, and called me when they were done. Honestly it did not take very long. I'm happy I finally got to try mercadog since they are usually very busy! When I received my pups they smelled good, vere fluffy, ears super clean, and they had little handkerchiefs on them, so cute! Highly recommend and cannot wait to take my pugs back! read more

MercaDog is the best. My mini poodle, JJ, used to get anxious going to our previous groomers. Found MercaDog years ago and haven't looked back. No more coaxing him. He goes right over to Alma. They are quick but not sloppy with his grooming. He always looks so dapper! It makes my heart happy to have kind talented groomers. read more

Owner is amazing! 100/10 recommend! Thank you for giving my doggie an amazing experience!

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOG WITH THEM! ANIMAL ABUSE! I left my dog there in the morning for a few hours and they gave us a call to pick her up cause she was ready and they told us to take our time, just to arrive and witness something horrific. My dogs eye was popped out of her eye socket and I was able to tell it was like that for WHILE because her eye looked fake, it looked like rubber just completely dry since she couldn't close her eye, and they did NOT bother to let us know until we picked her up. The groomer had the nerve to tell us "I'm not sure if you guys have noticed but there's something wrong with her eye" When we took her in the morning her eye was intact. The groomers there had no sympathy or remorse for what happened and just wanted to get paid already, so after paying I rushed my dog to the vet for an emergency surgery. The Vet said that what caused that to happen was that they tightened the leash WAY TOO TIGHT which cause her eye to pop out and excessive trauma. Even my friend who has been a veterinarian for 9 years said the same exact thing. This was explained to Alma (groomer) and she said "why are you taking the words of a vet over mine?" Clearly the veterinarians have more experience when it comes to trauma like that so I'll believe them over you. Please don't send your dogs here. read more

If you love your pet like it's your own child don't bring them here!!!!! I brought my German shepherd here to get washed but ended up getting a cut from their dirty equipment and got infected from all the bacteria on the tool. I didn't get a reimbursement and they didn't pay for the medical bill. read more

Don't take your dog here they don't do a good job and get mad if you ask them to fix it

I have a small dog with a big dog attitude. But when I take her to the shop to get groomed. She goes right into the lady and loves it there. And it's so hard to find a place where she'll get along with people. But they're really good. They're and the prices are great to. Right there by the Ramona village liquor store. My dog loves it. They're and they do such a great job. I just wanted to say thank you, Eric Abbott read more

This is a fairly new dog grooming business. I noticed this place when they where fixing it up as a new business (some other business used to be there before). Once I noticed it was open, I passed by and asked for pricing. The people there are very nice, knowledgeable and the place is clean. They have VERY good prices so I decided to take my dog there for a full groom. Wow I was impressed as to how well they groomed 15 year old cocker spaniel. He was very furry and had some matting, and they took care of him well. He looked like a brand new "old" doggie! I am so happy that they opened their business here, I have already taken my dog a few times to them. Every time, the place is clean and they welcome me and my pet with a smile. I HIGHLY recommend Mercadog Grooming! I am pretty sure you will Not be dissapointed and you will actually walk out with a huge smile once you pick up your furry family member. Sweet ladies who take care of my sweet pup. I love a good ma' n pa' business who have their heart into the product or business they provide. My dog is always scare of groomers. But the groomer spoke to him sweetly as I promised him that in afternoon he would get tacos. The groomer agreed, and reminded my dog of the delicious tacos he would get after it was all done. I laughed to myself because here are two grown women trying to convince a dog to take a bath in exchange for tacos. Haha it was a cute moment. It's a small location but with some good groomers. I definitely recommend giving them a go. read more

My precious little Mini Toy Poodle whom I take to work with me every day, decided today to find the only dog dropping not pick up on a perfectly manicured lawn at my clients place of business and decided to roll herself all around in it getting it everywhere in her fur not to mention the horrible smell she now reaked of. I have 3 words for this groomer and her establishment THANKS THANKS THANKS (let's add 3 more) I love you. Haha. Nice lady, quick service, good price, lifesaver. read more

Really happy! I'm so happy with the services that I received from MercaDog. I had been looking for a new place to have my dog groomed. I had driven by their business a few times and thought about inquiring about their services. I've used the same groomer for years but I was open to finding a new place for various reasons. I decided to go ahead and make an appointment with Mercadog. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived for my appointment, very welcoming environment and such a friendly greeting. They did an amazing job on my baby. They groomed her exactly how I had asked them to do and she wasn't there all day. Highly recommend! It's a little hidden gem, worth checking out! read more
