Made my puppies appointments at the Blaine location with a groomer named Amanda. Asked for bath, nails, and shave their behinds and genitals. Husband went and picked them up and my male puppy still had hairy genitals and behind and poop stuck to his butt. My girl pup is also still hairy. Which tells me they didn't bath them or shave them. Will never bring them back there again. read more

Nice new clean store. Seems smaller than other stores I remember, but no biggie! Petsmart is more expensive for some things than other stores, but they have a huge variety. They will price match their online prices, which is nice. The cat food I bought was $3 cheaper online so I saved a bit. I don't know how animal adoptions are handled there but there were 4 cats available. Hopefully they are well taken care of and adopters are well vetted. read more

If I could give zero stars I would... underweight, emaciated, dehydrated ball python. They claimed they were giving it soaks, but stuck shed should come off with proper soaks. Stuck shed over the eyes. They said they were feeding it pinky mice or fuzzy mice, which is waaaay too small. Sides of the snake were sunken in. Could not believe they were displaying a snake in such poor condition for sale. I asked if they would be willing to discount it so I could rehab it, and that was a 'no, we'll just have it see a vet'. They acted like I was trying to scam them into giving it away for cheap. My concern is that if they actually sell that snake to anyone inexperienced, it will most likely die. read more

This store is always friendly and always has what I need! The grooming salon seems knowledgeable about their breeds, as my pug was having trouble with a nail trim and they didn't push the issue and knew they couldn't muzzle him being a short nose breed. We also put him through training courses and Nicole the trainer was great! She did awesome with all the dogs and made sure we all knew what she was doing. Was sad to see her leave as I would've liked to continue on with her. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. I brought my dog in to see Rachel for a full grooming. The grooming manager called me before the appointment should have been over and told me that the groomer slipped, but it was just a small scrape and couple layers of skin and nothing to worry about, however, they could not finish the groom and I had to come pick my dog up. When I arrived I saw the "scrape" was actually a V shape with a gouge taken out of the center. Their manager came in and told me that they would have to transport my dog to Coon Rapids Banfield to be looked at. The vet explained how bad the cut actually was and that my dog would need to first get skin cut off and burned down before being able to be stitched back together. The girl who cut her was crying and seemed to feel really bad so I was trying to be as forgiving as possible. The grooming manager at that time said I could bring my dog in to finish her grooming at no cost at a later date and she would check back with me to see what else she could do to make up for such a horrific accident, and of course they'd cover the vet bills. I was set at ease at that time at least that they seemed to care. The grooming manager called back the next day to see how the procedure went and said she would follow up again in 10 days when we had stitch removal scheduled. She never called to follow up. After my dog healed and my husband called back to fix her lip sided hair cut, they acted as if they had no idea what had happened or that we were told they'd at least finish the grooming. My husband then spoke to the store manager who was not any help and when he mentioned to her calling corporate the store manager to see if they had to at least stick by their minimum word she claimed, "they are just going to call and talk to me and you're going to get the same response so it's just like talking to me anyway". read more

Zero stars. We had the worst adoption experience ever. We were going to adopt a cat and was told that we could come in the next day to complete the paperwork and when we got there staff told us someone already adopted the cat we were going to after they told us we could. A staff member told us another couple adopted the cat. And when we asked to speak to the staff member that told us we she would put a sign up for us saying the cat found a home she never came over we sat there waiting until a manager came over or at least looked to be who then proceeded to tell us there was four other interest and one of the other interested people already came in filled out the paperwork and adopted the "cat" (that we were told we could). Very unprofessional, staff was rude and did not know what was going on. read more

We have had a terrible experience with the grooming salon at this PetSmart as of recently. The last two times we have booked appointments for our dog, they have turned us away. We were told her vaccinations were too close to the appointment (which has never been shared as a concern prior to us coming) and then we were 20 minutes late to our appointment (which is our own fault, but life happens) and they would not take our dog. After several discussions with different employees, they were rude and would not hear us out. We will not be going back to this PetSmart. I am extremely disappointed with how we have been treated. We have been waiting for 3 months to get our dog a grooming appointment and now we are still out of luck. read more

While, I do like the work that they have done for my dog. I will say that the 48 hour waiting period between groom and vaccinations is a little excessive. Petco policy is 24 hours. Unfortunately they were also not willing to trim my dogs toe nails which is a little excessive also. Just be aware of their policy. This store is so clean and the employees are helpful. Would be 5 stars but they are smaller so dont have as much product specifically the prescription dog food but otherwise, easy to find things clean inside and out. I have had problems with groomers i. The past and the 2 there are amazing, Ashley was so nice and my dog looked great, as well as the next time i went in i saw Jessie and he still looked amazing and she was up beat and seemed to actually care what i wanted and about my dog. The cashiers are nice sometimes hard to find but the girl Kathy always comes out to check me out. This is a amazing store, close to my home, and friendly staff read more
