I just started taking my fur babies to Petsmart grooming 2 months ago. My old groomer went up on their price and I couldn't afford they're cuts every 2 months. I have been very pleased. The groomers have done an excellent job both times. Petsmart does keep my dogs there a bit longer than the previous groomers but I'm ok with that if I can afford to have them groomed every 2 months! The one thing I don't like is that the central booking will change the groomer after I have made an appt with someone. So watch the confirmation email because I didn't pay attention to the name. I ordered one of the 42"L dog crates for curbside pickup at this location. When I arrived to pick it up, I went into the app and tapped "I'm here", got out of my car and lowered the seats since the box would be long. I also left my trunk unlocked and waited in my car as the app instructs. A younger lady came out pushing the cart that had the crate on top, accompanied by an older lady wearing glasses. The older lady didn't even come to the window to greet or verify the curbside order. She took one look at my face and then stood there with an angry look. Even the younger lady saw it and laughed. I leaned out my window and asked "For Nicholas?", the older lady huffed a response, and I told her the trunk was open. She literally flings open my trunk and damn near throws the crate into my car, but she was smart enough not to slam my trunk back. Now, maybe she was upset that I didn't lift the crate myself, but that's not how curbside service works. Regardless, she was a rude you know what and her little childish behavior needs to be corrected. I don't know what her problem is, or was. All I know is if you hate customer service that much, quit. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! If I could give the grooming salon a negative number then I would. I've been taking my toy poodle to this Petsmart location for years with no issue. First I walked into the grooming salon and wasn't acknowledged for a few minutes although no one else was present in the lobby area but myself and my pet. There were 2 young girls chatting behind the counter. When they finished their conversation then my presence was acknowledged. The Manager, Angie, was present and didn't say anything. She just sat on one of the grooming tables. The groomer Monica Monzon assessed my dog. She pointed out the obvious things like her age, which was noted in her paperwork, and that her skin had 'moles' which was due to her age. She's had them for years and has never been an issue. Monica kept stating negative things about my dog. I felt uneasy leaving her (which I never felt when left with a different groomer who we were familiar with was not available) but I know she needed to be groomed. Her regular groomer was not available. Monica confirmed the details of her cut and my phone number. A whole HOUR AND A HALF later I get a call from Banfield Hospital stating my dog was showing signs of stress: panting. REALLY? What dog doesnt pant? I was told to come and pick up my dog or find someone else that could. Monica was VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL over the phone. She lacks basic customer service skills. I show up to pick up my dog and Monica brings her out soak and wet like she just sprayed her down with water. I asked Monica to blow dry my dog because it was cool and windy outside. She refused. I took possession of my wet dog and assessed my dog's condition. She was still dirty, her ears weren't cut and the bottom of her body was not cut. See pics. I took the pics while in the grooming salon. I spoke to another employee outside of the grooming salon for a contact number to corporate. I explained the situation to him and he provided the number to corporate. He stated the grooming manager Angie and the store manager would be in contact with me. We'll see. I won't hold my breath. This review is long overdue for Abbi in the grooming salon. My 9year old havamalt Michael Jackson has been going there to her for almost a year now. I won't take him anywhere else, and Abbi has grown so fond of him that she personally works in him from start to finish. He always fusses when I drop him off, which I expect from a dog that basically wants to be in my line of sight all the time. However, Abbi always makes him soft, gets him clean and cute. As an update, Michael has an infected anal gland. Not sure if this is a grooming issue but he hasn't been groomed in a little while because of it. read more

The salon here is TERRIBLE. Groomers dont seem to care. If i have my dog in someone elses care i would want them to see it as more of a job. They just tie him up while he tries to wiggle his way out because hes so scared! He would cry and i would think its because he wasnt used to it. I've had some issues with my former groomer (basically they did their own thing and she came home with cuts every time), so I decided to take her to Petsmart because I had a good experience there with another dog years ago. I was hoping that this would be an excellent experience...and it was. Katie, the groomer, also had a tri-color cocker so she already loves the breed. My dog looked very similar to her sweet boy so I know she enjoyed working on her. She came out beautiful! I have a long list of particulars because I'm not overly fond of the typical cocker cut. It's not difficult list to follow, it just requires attention. She was exactly how I wanted her to be groomed with no cuts and no modifications. I know nothing about fish, like at all. I was sent here by my boss to have them test a water sample from our tank. (We have had 4 fish that increased in size over the past few months, so I suggested getting a bigger tank. With that, he also brought in some new fish. Everything seemed fine and then basically overnight, one of them developed white spots (i.e., ick or ich) and is started spreading to the others). I walked in and Tom was a literal angel!! I understand so much more about fish now and he was super detailed about the solutions to our problem. You can tell that he actually cares about his job and the fish. This is for the grooming department. Took my dog (5 lb yorkie/maltese mix) to this location because another petsmart said they wouldn't take him because of a mat on his head. Figured i could ask. They took him for a bath, nail trim and cut and took about 2.5 hours. I thought they did a fantastic job! They did have to shave him down pretty low but that was okay with me. I told the groomer it was fine when i was there but she suggested something longer. Called me an hour later asking if she could go shorted. I am the sole caretaker for an elderly relative/ individual, and due to this Coronavirus pandemic, and recent news reports that there are "zero" ICU beds left in our hospital region, I decided on 09/06/2021, to place a curbside pick up order from the Petsmart located at North Austin (Parmer), 12901 N I-35, Bldg 7, Ste 700, Austin, Texas 78753. I have been a customer at Petsmart for almost thirty years now, and on this occasion, I purchased a thirty pound bag of premium Blue Buffalo dog food for my dog. Upon arrival at the store, I parked in curbside pick up area, and called the store to let them know that I was there to pick up my order. A Petsmart employee who's name I subsequently learned was "Bethany" brought the dog food out to my truck and placed it in the backseat of my vehicle, and then went back into the store. I decided to double check the bag of dog food to ensure that it was what I had ordered, before leaving the parking area. When I checked the bag and flipped it over, there was a substantial size hole in the lower part on the back of the bag. The hole looked like it could have been made by rats or mice chewing through the bag, and there was dog food spilling out of the hole, and into the backseat of my truck. Premium dog food is expensive, and I certainly have no intention of feeding my dog, food that has possibly been chewed into by rats or mice. While still in the parking lot of the store, I called the store back to let them know that the dog food that I purchased and just picked up, had a large hole in the bag, and to see if someone could bring another bag of the same type and brand out to my vehicle, in order to exchange it for the one that they had brought out to my vehicle, that had a hole in it. The person who answered the phone was "Bethany," the same person who brought the defective bag out to my truck. Bethany said, that they "could not do that," and that the only way that the dog food could be exchanged for another bag of dog food, would be if I came "into" the store, stood in line, and did an exchange for another bag of the same type of dog food that I had purchased. I tried to explain to "Bethany," why I made the "curbside" purchase concerning the elderly relative and the Coronavirus circumstances, and asked if someone could just bring another bag of dog food out to my truck, and just take the damaged one back, and she said, "Can't do it, if you want another bag you have to come into the store, and wait in line, and do an exchange for another bag." So, I had "no choice" at this point, but to go back into the store, stand in line with the defective bag of dog food, and wait for a cashier, and then leave the bag of dog food that I had just purchased with her, and then walk all the way through the store to the back of the store, get another "undamaged" bag of dog food off of the shelf, walk through the store to the front, stand in line "again" and have the cashier "authorize" me to get another bag of the same type of dog food that I had already purchased "online" for "curbside pick up" in order to avoid "all" of this. And the Petsmart cashier who did the return process for me, was literally wearing a single layer, cloth, cowboy style bandana "mask" over her face, you know the type that a five year old would wear, to play dress up; to "protect the customer's from catching Coronavirus." So, when I eventually got back out to my vehicle after all of this, I called the store to ask to speak to the manager, concerning what had just happened. "Bethany" answered the phone again, and when I asked to speak to the "store manager," she told me that "she was" the "store manager." When I tried to explain to her why as a paying customer, I was upset with what had transpired and how it was handled by the store, she told me that if I didn't like it, I could "contact the corporate offices." And then she told me, even though I was trying to express my concerns in a normal tone of voice. "I will not be yelled at. This conversation is over!" And she hung up the phone on me. Just to be clear, I don't "yell" at anyone. I am a grown up. "A grown up, hard working, paying customer, who cannot believe the unbelievably "bad" customer service that I received at Petsmart. "Bethany" is one of the "rudest" and most incompetent customer service people, that I have "ever" personally dealt with, in my life. And that is saying something. And, if she is a "store manager" at Petsmart, I think that I am done with doing business at Petsmart "ever" again. If this is how Petsmart treats their paying customer's, at this rate, it won't be long before you don't have "any." 09/08/2021. Just to follow up on this: I was contacted by "Petsmart" in less than twenty-four hours after voicing my concern, by telephone, email, and on social media. Everyone at Petsmart who addressed this complaint was very professional and polite, and this issue has been fully addressed and resolved. A+. read more

This rating is for the grooming salon. I have gone to Petsmart grooming salon for years and happy with their service until today. Ashlea, our usual groomer, has left Petsmart so we made an appointment with another groomer named Savannah. Twenty minutes after I left my dog, I got a call from Savannah that they can't continue the service since my dog's tongue has turned purple due to stress. When I arrived, Savannah has explained defensively that my dog is not used to blow drying and she has asked Abby to stop when she saw that his tongue has turned purple. I am not sure how they have handled him today that he came to that much stress. We have been visiting Petsmart grooming salon for years with several groomers handled him in the past. We have selected Ashlea in the past year since she had done a great job. But we definitely won't go back now since not only they don't know how to handle my dog, they also lost their customer service ability along with Ashlea. Very disappointing! read more

What can I say? A huge place with tons of products and services for your pets at fair prices. Every time I come here, the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. I always look out for PetPerks discounted products. Once you sign up for PetPerks you can either show your PetPerks card or enter your phone number and get instant discounts! Not to mention you can get 1 point per dollar when you purchase that will give you future discounts/credit to use. I seem to like Pet Smart better than PetCo, mainly for the reasons I stated above. I feel there is a better selection and variety at Pet Smart and the prices always seem to be better on basically everything. I was unfairly treated and discriminated against while trying to return items that I no longer needed, with a receipt on Saturday, May 25, 2019. I walked in and explained briefly the reason for the return. The receipt was in my trash prior to, which I had to dig for the receipt as I wanted the return in the method that I paid for it with. The receipt had a little gunk on it and I tried to wipe as much off as possible. The whole receipt was still in tact and the barcode could still be scanned, easily. The employee, Ray, walked away to grab gloves and came back to the register where he then grabbed a bottle of water and smeared the receipt. Ray replied, "I can't take this, this is a fake receipt and I have to keep it (the receipt)." I was appalled, dismayed and confused. It was emotionally damaging, and felt as if I didn't have a voice, a chance or an option. Ray NEVER ONCE scanned the receipt but instead went to the measures of saying that I gave him a fake receipt. There was other customers behind me and I felt so embarrassed. I strongly felt this was a defamation of my character. I feel that had I been a person of another color, Caucasian, and dressed differently than what I had on; the employee would have scanned the receipt. Instead, he made an assumption and automatically assumed that the receipt was fake. I then took my receipt and items to another PetSmart where the return was done with no issues or problems. Discrimination is real and I WILL NEVER give any more of my money to this location, store or company. Not to mention, when I addressed the situation to Ray, he was LITERALLY going back and forth with me. I've worked in customer service for YEARS & that's the one thing you NEVER do. I would never make the situation worse with a customer, AND while standing in front of my manager. This store, Ray (the employee) and the manager should be ashamed. His belly was shaved all the way to the skin which I've never seen done before and clearly agitated it, it was bleeding slightly and oozing some sort of clear fluid. His privates were also hurt an he was bleeding from the tip of his penis. When we came back to confront them regarding the issue our dog was shaking uncontrollably after recognizing the store. Today we went to buy a cat condo. We were in the market for one of the 5' or taller kinds. Found one that we were *this* close to buying. What stopped us was that it wouldn't fit in our car. Before that we must have spent at least five minutes metaphorically kicking the tires to see how we would incorporate it in to our house. Then came a more pressing question: how would we get it from the perimeter of the store to the cash registers? Do they have those flat industrial carts like Sam's or Costco? Nope. A sales associate with some knowledge of how to handle situations like this? Not as far as I could see. If this would have fit in the car/trunk, without hunting someone down (which I'm not opposed to doing) our option would have been to lug it through the store. We work out, it could be done. Its bulk was the most forbidding variable. But then what about the bulky containers of food that were on our list? Exactly. Groomer Salon: ASHLEA was a God sent! I booked my appointment with a different groomer, met her and walked through the needs of my 7 month old, 50+ lb Australian Labradoodle, Jake. He's not good with the grooming situation yet. This was only his 2nd time and I was incredibly nervous for my dog and the patience of the groomer when booking this appointment. I handed the groomer a goody bag of treats, chew sticks and an anti-anxiety ointment to be applied to his nose. Walked out 'hoping for the best'!! Within 30 mins I received a call from a lady named Ashlea, she needed to shave my pup's ears, explained why and included some informative health precautions. I was confused as to why I was not speaking with the groomer I had dropped my dog off with but I liked what I was hearing and had read some raving reviews about Ashlea. She assured me Jake was doing great, sounded like he had taken to Ashlea, and she may actually not be cursing at him. Upon arrival. Jake looked great! He was happy and had no sense of urgency to bolt out of there asap. He actually was being affectionate to Ashlea. The goody bag I had sent didn't seem to be needed. She was able to do an entire grooming, which was a first for him! I literally expected to pick him up half done and write the experience off as progress. She was incredibly caring and compassionate, could not be more appreciative of her. As for Jake, he's been running laps around the house for over an hour now, is so hilariously happy, and is apparently 'loving' his new do. Not my first choice in selection to address my pet needs, but they are located in many places for convenience. Up front, I prefer to see my dogs Vet or go to PETCO, but still wish to give this place a "fair shake" of a dog's tail. Most recently over the weekend, on a Sunday, I wished to get my dogs nails groomed since I tend to either not trim them enough or too much (bleeding). So to avoid costly kits and tools, I bring him here for convenience as I am driving north on the freeway. All in all, the young ladies in the grooming answered my questions as I wished to make a walk-in appointment, or schedule one, but (not being a persnickety person..honestly) I was not impressed with their willingness to help in customer service, and possibly the body language displayed when they saw my 100lb lab (he is naturally a very big & tall dog). I understand that there are some days when we are all not at our peak & feel great, but in this case my instinct just recommended I go elsewhere. It seems that my jovial big buddy lab felt the same, as he stopped wagging his tail and just sniffed around. etc. (very odd and concerning for him) After all, if the ladies did not present themselves with concern or care (my feeling/opinion) I would not want my gentle giant to get involved with them and someone (person or animal) getting hurt. Animals are like people, we know this, they sense fear/confidence/anxiety/etc. It seemed like a burden for the ladies to attend to me and my dog on this Sunday afternoon, so to avoid any issues or concern.. I would rather just avoid the situation entirely. Made an online appointment for a cut and bath for my dog. Looking at the available dates and times showing online when booking, I scheduled the appointment for Friday, 6/4 @ 12:30pm. In the notes I wrote that my dog would get the senior service since he is up in age and we have been scheduling him for that service. 2 days later, I receive a call from tge groomer Monica telling me that the appointment would be canceled or rescheduled because she had another dog with the same service and could do both. I told her that I had selected the date available online.and had made arrangements at work to take my dog to the appointment. Yesterday I took Miranda to the grooming salon located at 12901 N. interstate 35 78753, at 3:00 pm, at the time I got to pick Miranda had long and dirty nails, I commented to the girl and said That same thing had happened the previous time, they had not done their job well, two of the workers had a bad attitude and one of them told me to leave the room while they told Miranda's nails again, when I got to my I saw that the legs were still dirty and there was a yellow spot on the neck. It is the second time that in this town they do their work badly, I want to know what will happen? Is it necessary to change Salon grooming? I like this petsmart. It's a smaller one and sometimes they don't have all the cool cat toys that the larger petsmart's have, but that's ok. The people who work here are very nice. I bought a large cat tree that I couldn't really pick up and they helped me load it into my car. My cats were very happy. read more

After an exhaustive week of helping a friend search for her new canine companion. She fell in love with a shepard, lab, retriever mix. Adorable little girl adopted on Chinese New Year. After adopting the little bundle of joy, it was time to go shopping for...well...everything! We arrived and found everything we needed for the pup, better known as Andi. A great selection of toys, food, collars, leashes, and crates at decent prices. Friendly staff and of course the best part is you can take your critters with you when you go shopping. One of our dogs is a long hair, we thought, mutt. She is beautiful but she gets shaggy pretty easily. For awhile we took her to a friend of my mother-in-law in Somerville but it didn't take long for that to become a hassle. So I called Petsmart. Their rates seemed pretty reasonable so I thought I would give them a try. They did a great job! The best part was the way that Macy strutted through the store on the way out. It was clear that she KNEW how great she looked. The last time I took her, one of the groomers was really excited to tell me that she knew Macy's breed. It turns out that she is a Petite Bassett Griffon Vendeen. Who knew? I really appreciated her taking the time to show me in the AKA breed guide even. Today after picking up my dog his face was still very dirty , didn't even look like they touched it, long ears and he still smelt like sweaty summer heat. This review is about the grooming services that my pup and I received today. I took my hound in for a pawdicure. She has thick nails and gets the wiggles during her clipping experience. I have seen countless groomers counteract this. The staff here did not seem to know how to handle a wiggly pup. When they called me back, they'd said they were only able to get her back nails and none of the front. They told me she got too anxious and offered a refund. The grooming staff neglected to tell me that they quicked my dog's dew claw and caused her to bleed. I understand that this happens, but neglecting to tell the owner you've done so is bad business. The grooming staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They're fast, do a good job, and put me at ease about leaving my little guy with them. This location also has a vets office and a pet hotel inside. I've never used the vet, but the hotel staff is very accommodating and friendly. The check-out staff has always seemed slightly rude to me, however. (Today, the girl ringing me up was talking on the phone and making gestures at another employee instead of interacting with me in any way.) I guess the moral of the story is to only come to this location for the services and purchase your pet products elsewhere. read more

They have management issues there is a culture of laziness and lying. We were told they have a product that is on a pallet the manager went back and got one refused to get more. My wife went back two days later they said they were out of that product. They didn't inventory and stock their product within three days, I recommend petsmart hire a consultant to teach your managers to manage or fire them. You have a problem with this location. read more
