Experiencing the candy cap silk pie bonbon was genuinely the best thing that happened to me today and potentially this week

Läderach took over 34 of Godiva's leases in the U.S., after Godiva closed all of their brick & mortar locations. We tried a few of their chocolates but ended up going with the milk chocolate hazelnut to take home! Very delicious. I also got one of the truffles/bonbon to try: pralines pravé Trinidad and I'm excited to try it later. Our total was ~$16 for both items. They have a lot of options to choose from, which I love! Everything seems to be well made & tasty. One of my favorites we tried was a strawberry chocolate & seemed like they used real sun dried strawberries to make it. Highly recommend trying Läderach if you haven't yet!

We walked into a clean, minimal space that was very visually polished, with displays of chocolate bark, truffles, and bars that immediately felt high-end. What stood out right away was how interactive the experience was, with staff regularly offering samples that let us try different flavors before committing to anything. The sampling approach made the visit feel welcoming and exploratory rather than pushy. The chocolate itself is the main reason to visit. We tried a few pieces and found everything tasting rich, smooth, and noticeably higher quality than standard chocolate shops, with a strong focus on texture and freshness. The fruit-forward and nut-based options, like strawberry, orange, and hazelnut varieties, were especially memorable because they balanced sweetness with more natural, layered flavors. Even the simpler milk and dark chocolate options felt more refined than what we normally find in most retail chocolate stores. The chocolate bark, with its thin layers and evenly distributed toppings, stood out as a signature item that showcased the craftsmanship behind the brand. The biggest thing to be aware of is the price point. It was very easy to spend more than expected here, especially since the samples made everything feel worth trying. It felt less like a casual snack stop and more like a place where we picked a few pieces as a treat or gift rather than doing any kind of regular purchase. Service was friendly and attentive, and the sampling approach made the experience feel welcoming instead of pushy. Staff were willing to explain different flavors and help guide choices, which made it easy to explore the selection even if we were not familiar with Swiss chocolate. Overall, Läderach is a high-end chocolate shop best suited for gifting or occasional indulgence. The quality is excellent and the tasting experience makes it fun to explore, but the pricing keeps it firmly in the "treat yourself" category rather than an everyday stop.

Oatmeal raisin is never the choice when chocolate chip is around, but Levain's oatmeal raisin is incredible. There are definitely less raisins now than there used to be, but I'm fine with it because I'm really only in it for the soft, cookie dough goodness anyway. Service is quick and speedy since there's always an outrageous line, but well worth it to gain 4lbs in 25 seconds.

The more it sat, the more I was able to taste it. And the mocha they use doesn't seem to be very chocolatey which I'm not a fan of. It's more on the bland side. Maybe it would be better iced but since it's cold outside I wanted something hot. The girl who took my order and made my latte was very nice and very kind. She had a really good vibe coming off her which I love. Five stars for her! So the mocha gets 3 stars, the girl who helped me gets five stars. I may get a cookie to go but haven't decided if I wanna spend $5.75 plus tax on a cookie. The mocha was $5.25 plus tax alone. And the cookies really aren't as big as people say they are. They do look good but I'm not sure if I wanna spend that much on a single cookie. Maybe I'll come back another day. Edit to say I did go back for a cookie. I got the dark chocolate peanut butter chip. The same girl helped me and this wonderful sweet girl gave me an extra cookie. Forget the five stars, she gets infinite stars. I hardly ever have people be that nice to me and she deserves all the recognition and thanks. Been in Boston for literally two hours and I'm already having the best day!!

Honest thoughts: The cakes were indeed beautifully crafted, but $13 was overpriced. The cake quality didn't meet the steep price. The cafe was self-service and some furnitures were quite worn out. From their ig, I saw the price tag was ~$9 last year. It was aggressive to raise $4 within a year.....It would be more reasonable to charge at or under $10. *Autumn Leaf $13 * This seasonal special was my favorite. Spiced sponge and pecan crunch were wrapped inside the subtly sweet maple mousse, with a hint of banana flavor coming through midway. The spiced cake tasted like fall. *Geometric Apple $13 The geometric apple is their bestseller but I found the flavors didn't match well with one another. The outer layer was cheesecake mousse, while the center was filled with apple compote, caramel, and chocolate cake. The cake was quite sweet, and the sourness from apple put me off. The chocolate crunch inside was too hard to eat.
