We were looking to upgrade our old kitchen countertops to quartz, and after reaching out to several vendors for quotes, a problem arose: our kitchen is on the second floor and the turns in our stairs leading up would make it impossible to carry the stone up in one piece, meaning it would require seams. This was a dealbreaker for us, and Marblex was the only vendor that was was willing to work with us to find a solution! Ozzy was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire coordination process, and on the day of the install things went as smoothly as I could've hoped. The technicians arrived on time, were respectful, and took great care to get our countertops onto a crane and then get it from our balcony into our kitchen. We are extremely pleased with how our new countertops turned out, and we're now scheduling another install at my in-laws, using our old granite that Marblex was able to salvage! We have a tiny kitchen that needed new countertops. The whole affair with Marblex was painless, and surprisingly simple. We talked to Marta the sales person who was attentive, responsive, and professional. She was great. She sent pictures of materials they had that fit our descriptions perfectly, she sent us several examples of sinks, and found one that was reasonably priced and met all of our criteria. No upsales, no hey what about this option which is different from your original idea, she was very helpful. They sent out a measurer who was on time, professional, pleasant and quick. Once we decided on a material (from remnant) they sent us scanned picture of the exact material with the cuts mapped out so we could adjust the way the countertops looked if we decided to. The installers were on-time, and again super pleasant and professional. They installed the countertops perfectly, even given some weird tile and backsplash issues. All in all the whole thing was very painless, took little work, no stress, and was done 95% over email which is both shocking and impressive. read more

Marblex - Buyer Beware Update I am upgrading to four stars because things had to be adjusted from the initial installation. The Marblex technician came over twice to work on the vanity top. He was able to slightly enlarge (elongate) the hole for the faucet and move it forward enough to clean between the faucet and the backsplash. There is now room for two #2 pencils behind the backsplash. Unfortunately, the vanity leaked water from the surface of the vanity around the faucet because the gasket in the faucet no longer met the vanity surface. The technician returned a second time and filled in part of the hole with white epoxy. As before, he did an excellent job. The leak from around the faucet is gone. I was pleased that Marblex stepped forward to remedy the initial installation issue without me having to ask them. Everyone was very nice to work with. The end result is a beautiful quartz vanity top. read more

I used Marblex to install a stone facade around our fireplace. It took me a long time to decide what type of stone I wanted.  I visited the showroom perhaps eight times, and each time the designers were helpful and patient.  After I finally selected a stone, Marblex promptly sent a professional to exactly measure our fireplace.   After measuring, Marblex was able to create the facade in about two weeks and schedule a prompt installation. The installation was meticulous.  Two talented craftsmen spent hours getting the stone facade installed.  They even made an adjustment to the gas fire insert that we had just had installed, so that it too was perfectly level.   I am very happy with the entire transaction with Marblex. read more

During the past several months, Marblex renovated a powder room and the master bathroom in my condominium and the final results are absolutely beautiful. Both rooms now have amazing custom features such as a tear-drop shaped, green marble sink and vanity in the powder room, a green laser-jet cut medallion in the center of the powder room floor to complement the vanity, a stunning mosaic tile mural in the master bathroom and white floor with silver and gold flecks arranged in an optical illusion box design. With all the unique designer touches, the rooms also meet my basic needs for more storage, better lighting and new, upgraded fixtures. I selected Marblex because they had supplied granite countertops for a kitchen renovation and a marble vanity in my dressing area about 10 years ago. I still receive numerous compliments on the color, design, cut, quality and beauty of those earlier products and would not have turned anywhere else for my bathroom renovations. The range of colors, options and beauty of Marblex's natural stones made choosing among them one of the most difficult parts of the renovation process. The designer who worked with me carefully explained the advantages of each type of stone and its care needs to assist me in selecting what was most practical for my rooms and circumstances. The installation work in both rooms by Selcuk Once and his team was outstanding, from the wall tiles to the flooring, wainscoting and wallpapering. The wallpaper seams in paper with a delicate pattern could not meet any more perfectly, including at the corners of the room, and the tiles on the powder room floor are laid so that abstract lines flow perfectly from one tile to the next. The contract team worked with me to meet key deadlines and stayed into the evening to complete items like the wallpapering and installing a challenging showerhead on a Friday evening so that I would not be without a shower over a weekend. They also repainted trim on the wainscoting over a weekend to stay on schedule when we decided a different color would better highlight the room. It is probably rare that so much custom work goes without a single glitch and we did encounter one significant problem with the mosaic tile mural. Ozzy Oguz worked with me in an open and positive manner to address my concerns through a solution that I believe was fair to both of us and ensured that, in the end, I obtained the mural with the brilliant colors that I was hoping to see as the centerpiece of my new master bathroom and I could not be more pleased with the final result. Based on my experience, I would encourage homeowners who are incorporating unique custom design work to do extensive research to understand the effects of all selections, even ones like grout colors that might seem insignificant, and participate actively in every decision with your design team and contractors.
