Our 17-year-old​ home was in need of some updating. Being heavy on entertaining, we wanted something that looked great while being sustainable. The first refresh project was a ​powder room with an overhaul of paint, tile, and custom vanity. Originally, we were planning on putting in a new pedestal​​ sink as we were afraid of vessel sinks from big-box​ Home Depot/Lowes due to many reviewers stating the prefabricated vessel sink kits are cheap and will start cracking. In working with Dan, he had provided us an option of a high-quality​/solid customizable cabinet, a ​variety of countertops​ (went with quartz), and a beautiful​ marble vessel sink bowl that would last a very long time. The next​ refresh project was the basement with an overhaul of paint and flooring. The basement flooring is well over 2,000 square feet and we wanted to make sure it was perfect. Dan provided us with many ideas and even introduced us to LVT flooring. LVT was the perfect fit as the product looks beautiful while being able to handle tons of foot traffic​, able to handle the environmental changes of a completely underground basement and be friendlier with my budget vs. real hardwood. Upon completing all this, we looked at our basement bath and hated it! Originally, it had a standard builder grade cultured marble and gold cabinet knobs. Dan knew we did not want to break the bank on this and recommended​ we merely change the stone on top of our old cabinet, use oil rubbed bronze faucet and cabinet knobs, change the standard flat finish mirror to something more designer, and paint an accent color behind it. The results are clear as day in the photos. Dan did not try and upsell us, he looked thoroughly​ at the cabinet's condition and told us there is absolutely​ nothing wrong with it. Our experiences with Top Marble and Granite have been positive and we would definitely​ recommend​ them. What a great experience from beginning to end. I called him Friday morning to tell him I had a countertop emergency and just wanted to find out if it would even be possible to get some quartz for my basement kitchenette right away. I told him it was small, 74", and I wanted something white. He asked if I would want grey and I said no bc my cabinets are grey. He said trust me:) He sent me two pictures, one white and one pearl grey and I loved the grey. He sent someone over within the hour to do the measurements and said they can install in the afternoon or the next day. About four hours later, I saw their truck in the driveway and they had installed the countertop with the sink! I couldn't believe it! The quartz is gorgeous and the installation was perfect. If you're reading this review then you already know how daunting it can be to find and choose contractors. Well worry no more because TMG is a one stop shop that can address all your needs! We had just put a contract on our dream home however going in we knew we would need to give the kitchen a major face lift. However it wasnt just the kitchen, we needed to change the powder room, all the flooring on the main level, light fixtures, chandeliers, etc. However, due to budget, we prioritized kitchen first. After our house went under contract, we knew we wanted to move quickly with these projects so I had many contractors come give me quotes for jobs but especially the kitchen job. However, no one could match the way Dan won us over. When Dan came over, it was clear from the beginning that he's not just any old contractor. He's someone who is a design consultant. Though we had a pretty good idea of what we thought we wanted, Dan was able to suggest things to us that we never would have thought about and enhanced our vision. At one point it I took a step back to allow Picasso to work! And the suggestions he makes aren't suggestions that cost more. It's practical and thoughtful. In fact we wanted to do certain things which Dan made us aware wouldn't be a good idea or good value even though he could have just accepted our ask and taken more money from us. And he's not pushy with his suggestions, if we still felt strongly about something he was all good with whatever we want. We were able to extend our island such that there was counter seating, add a wine fridge enclosed by a waterfall countertop. I would really encourage you to use him for his design expertise. The quote was the best part. Dan has all types of connections with suppliers for materials. He can pretty much find you whatever you want at a discount to what you would find anywhere else. He allows you to even purchase your own material and then he will install if you find something of better value. However after a lot of shopping his materials were the best value when factoring in quality and price. For instance we were able to get gorgeous oak luxury vinyl plank/tile which is waterproof but we have a dog and was worried about it's scratch resistant qualities. Well somehow he was able to find vinyl flooring that is scratch proof as well and absolutely gorgeous with realistic wood definition. It's not just printed on, if you were to touch it it would feel like real wood! Anyways I digress, back to the quote, the quote was so good we were able to get way more than just kitchen done. All of a sudden we had money to take care of everything on the list o mentioned earlier and we were able to do everything with Dan! Since we wanted to change all the flooring we were hoping to avoid moving in and then dealing with moving around furniture to accommodate installing new flooring. Well Dan was able to squeeze us in where as soon as the ink dried from closing, his guys were at the house and demo'ing the place and somehow they worked hard to get everything move in ready within 4 days!!! So were able to move on the following weekend like originally planned to new floors and kitchen and not have to worry moving around furniture. I really appreciated how he prioritized our project like that to make our lives significantly more easier. I'll be using Dan for all my needs going forward, not just kitchen and bathrooms. Shopping for countertop is definitely something I am not accustomed to. There are so many options out there that can be a challenge just to start. I gave Dan a call based on glowing reviews on yelp and I had similar experience with them.
