First of all, AWESOME local business! I am incredibly glad that a place like this has opened in the Springfield area. Real authentic decor, music, dancing, and atmosphere! I felt as though I was in another country. The staff was friendly, and most were clearly not of arab decent which i enjoyed, considering they had a vast knowledge on the hookah, the flavors, and the city Petra which the establishment is based off of. The guy who made and tended to our hookahs was incredibly nice; constantly checking on us throughout the night and asking how the hookah was doing for us. I met the owners wife who works there on busy nights, and she's a doll! Friendly owners that love to interact and dance with customers, they are always looking to meet new people and spread the word, and you can tell they have true arab genuine hospitality. This place is the farthest thing from corporate standard fake restaurant hospitality. When you walk through the doors of Petra you automatically feel apart of the family. Like your a brother or sister of the owner, and no matter who you are they are willing to go above and beyond to make you feel special. Back on the hookah topic though; **They even provided these awesome bubble trays! You would inhale the smoke from the tobacco and blow through water bottles dipped in soap to create smoke filled bubbles! I have been to many hookah cafes around the US and the middle east and this one tops them all! Other cafes either lack in authenticity or variety. However this cafe excels in both. Many flavors and combinations to choose from, decor and atmosphere is amazing, and like iv e said, great staff! Also noticed they're building a restaurant next door which i cant wait for! Overall i give the place 5 stars! I'm happy that a place like this opened up in Springfield, and my friends and I will continue to be regulars every week! :) read more

I'm not sure if the two previous reviews went to the same place? I visited Petra with my girlfriend on 9/14. The atmosphere was awesome and our waiter, a nice and friendly fella from Jordan was just as cool as all hell! The two of us shared a well prepared hookah with lemon tobacco and ice as well as some particularly delicious sage moracan tea. Not once did we feel pressured to add extras to the bill nor were treated in anything but a welcoming manner. Upon leaving, the owner stopped by the table to thank us for our business. It was one of the better experiences we've had while out at a local business here in Western Mass. My girlfriend and I are overjoyed to have something new and cool to do here as there's been very little new business opened in this area in a very long time! We look forward to going back again and again! Also, the prices were MORE than fair and NO gratuidity was charged. read more

I went to petre today and the manager or owner!!! Rude ASF!!! I drove alll the way from CT!!!!!! I have come here many of times!!! I have come & in paid on my tab spent hella money this run down dumb for this man to stand in my face and act like it's a problem to allow me to enter hookah because I needed cash when normally you can just use your debit or credit card with no issue. When I explained I have no cash on hand he was very rude and dismissed me. You old fat fuck. I will never come to your establishment again! And my sister had cash on hand but because he was sooooo fucking rude never will I return again. Fuck petre hookah lounge .!!! With your run down furniture and overly rude staff! read more

Y'all trash asf with the racist ass ugly guy with the beard. He said he's the "boss" btw. Which he is not. Don't charge a $5 entry fee of hookah still has to be bought. Everyone does not smoke hookah. Stop pressuring ppl to buy things especially reoccurring customers. Y'all racist asf & i hope y'all go out of business for mistreatment of customers cause it ain't like y'all get many. $20 to bring a bottle. They'll just sneak theirs in. Nobody's doing that. Be realistic. These new rules trash. Keep the same energy. Don't waste your money ppl. They're reading read more

i love hookah. The atmosphere is great. There is like this chill vibe to the room. It was my first time there and the waitress showed me how to do bubbles. You would have a good time with anyone who you go with. All the flavors are really good but my favorite are mango and watermelon. All i can say is that you must try it. The music that is played also goes along with the vibe of the room. i have introduced my friends to hookah and they all love it too.. read more

Everytime I've gone to Petra I've enjoyed myself. the atmosphere is cool but not intimidating and most people there, waitors and customers, were extremely nice. a hookah last for quite a whole and the price isn't half bad! the people working there were really efficient in changing our coals and kept asking how wee were doing. we all really enjoyed the place and I don't see how this place could get 2 stars because it doesn't deserve that. Thanks Petra! read more

Really nice place. I have been been there a few times already and I am pleased that the place opened in Springfield. This is the only place in town that a person can go and have a relaxing smoke. The decor is authentic and the prices are reasonable. The staff is always pleasant. I spoke to the guys who makes the hookah and he told me that he did it for many years in his native Egypt. Worth trying even if you are not a regular hookah smoker. read more

I Love the Petra Lounge. I love the hookah flavours. I like how the waitresses and the owners are very friendly. The atmosphere of the place is calm but it gets better after 11pm. I do however wish that you did not have to pay 5$ before sitting. Other than this no complaints! read more
