    Date and Brie rolls

Really enjoyed this restaurant. I was able to get a reservation same day by emailing them, which was great because it's a small place and they were full. The food was great. As a vegetarian they were able to suggest things for me that worked for me and even modified one dish to make it vegetarian. I had the puff pastry date rolls which were really good. Then they specialized the black rice dish to be with vegetables for me. That dish was delicious. Great restaurant and very cozy.

Best food in Barcelona!! We had the most delicious octopus, beef tenderloin and duck! We were trying to get into another place but there was a huge line honestly this place should have a huge line outside!

It is very cozy local restaurant. We were lucky to find this place. With the quality, taste and service, price is very reasonable. Group of four ordered various menu and every dish was soooo delicious. My best lunch in Barcelona.

(4.5 stars) I don't think we could have found a more perfect spot for lunch in El Born. Aside from having English menus which was super helpful, the food is extremely solid and the menu del dia (drink, first course, second course, and dessert) was super reasonable at only about €12. And bread for the table was only €0.60 total! (It's becoming increasingly frustrating having to pay a euro or more for each slice of bread, which is just bonkers.) The scrambled eggs and cheese first course was great, not too heavy on the cheese yet nice and hearty. The turkey with coconut and curry sauce surprised me because I didn't know turkey could be so good. First the sauce was super flavorful, a nice light curry. Second the turkey was crispy and not dry at all, which I was expecting since turkey is pretty much always dry. Third it was super light, so the whole lunch was filling yet didn't slow us down for the rest of the day. The dessert though was enjoyable (bananas and chocolate) but nothing special.

Beautiful restaurant from the outside and on the inside. We tried both the Cauliflower and the Asparagus soups. They were delicious. Big portions. We also had the sea bass and the cod. Many of the food items change frequently based on what is fresh and in season. This was a real find in the Born District that I would highly recommend

This cute restaurant is located in the Barrio Gothic area of Barcelona and is a bit hard to find. It's located on the back side of the Santa Maria del Mar (famous church). I came here with 2 others for lunch around 3:30pm and they still took us. I ordered from the menu del dia which served a 3-course meal with a drink for 12 euro. If you chose to order from the regular menu, each dish was ~5-8 euro, which is very reasonable considering the quality and taste of the food! I got the tuna salad appetizer which was delicious and came with mixed greens and artichokes. My main dish was fish, which was quite tasty, and my dessert was a mango cake with ice cream, so tasty! Overall, it was great food for great value in a nice, off the beaten path restaurant. I would DEFINITELY recommend coming here again- it's not too touristy :)

This place was so amazing and the best priced food we had while in Europe. Everything was blasting with flavor I never wanted to stop eating. We ate: Zucchini carpaccio, guacamole and toasted corn Duck confit with potatoes in red wine sauce Salmon with vegetables, coconut & curry sauce Fresh pasta with apple & duck liver sauce All fannnnnnnntastic. Another place when I go back to Barcelona I will for sure go to again. Without a doubt!

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

We were treated like locals with a warm welcome. Tables outside on the patio as well as cozy indoor seating. The house made lemon cello was a finishing treat.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish.
