    Sangria de vino
    Jenny S.

Stopped by for drinks on a Wednesday night and were not disappointed. The ambiance was a lot of fun, our group of 3 was seated right away and we ordered 2 beers and a glass of cava. It was fun to sit around and hang out. Then we got a liter of sangria to share. It was decent, sweet, what you would expect to taste with a sangria. I wanted to try the sangria cava but we tried sangria vino. Maybe next time we'll try the cava!

This place was fantastic. We made reservations through TripAdvisor and receive 20% off our total bill on just the food items. We ordered the calamari with the Bao bun, croquette, beef tartar, duck and scallop. My BF has a big appetite so he always orders a lot of food (better for meeee ). I really enjoyed all the food besides the scallop. It was a bit fishy for me but my bf really liked it. The duck was the highlight of the meals it was very delicious. The service was wonderful, all the servers were very attentive and nice. I would definitely recommend you try this place if you're in the area!!

Mexican and Parisian oyster. Absolutely delicious.

Had a fabulous time here and the food was delicious. I'm visiting Barcelona single and it can get a little lonely because most people are in groups, but i met another American and spent the night talking to him and the bartender. Food is top notch. Wish I had someone to share the food with so I could try it all!

Oh we found a sexy restaurant in a edgy neighborhood. Eclectic and international patrons and clientele. Why is that the only food industry staff in this city, that are friendly, are expats? Not only were they so friendly and personable they were Multilingual and gorgeous. Was actually service with a smile, how refreshing. Because we had an entire bottle of delicious Spanish red most of my dinner is just a memory if delicious flavors. Definitely drink wine! The list is incredible and so inexpensive. The Cactus desert was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Like a mojito In ice cream formation. It Literally looks like a cactus and tastes like a dream. GThe service was impeccable (in many languages) warm and genuine and efficient. Our server knew the entire menu and wine list. Not sure we missed any flavors as we tasted so many at dishes. They were all Inventive, Creative. Would describe this place as Pan Iberian flavors with world influences. We even got 3 glasses of cava at the end of the meal to celebrate my birthday. What a sweet gesture. We were so full we couldn't finish them.

Croqueta de suquet de marisc amb salsa romesco. Tasty

The foods are good. Croquet was very tasty. Caneló D'alvOCat i Gambes was unique in taste with shrimp wrapped with Avocado. I particularly like the Fish of the day, Seabass. A bit dry but actually what I like. Our friends had the pesCaDO De la lOnja beef steak in medium rare, I think they like it but nothing extraordinary. Our vegetarian friend had the only main vegetarian dish quinOa neGra COn verDuras which was very tasty and delicious. A good option for vegetarian. We all shared the EL CACTUS dessert. Just for look, nothing extraordinary. The reason why I gave 3 stars instead of 4 is the service. Waiter was a bit impatient with us for trying to share among us so we have a good taste of each.

Very good food in a convenient part of town! A variety of fusion tapas which highlighted local specialities. The best dish of the dinner was the ceviches with catch of the day (tuna and octopus). Fragrant, fresh, creative and super tasty! Second best dish was the tapioca ice cream which was very refreshing and elegantly presented. Different than what you might find else where and highly recommended. Third best dish was the Tamal which was a pork dish served on a bed of polenta with pineapple salsa. Great deep Iberia pork flavors punctuated by citrus from the pineapple. Probably 4 stars but the excellent service took it over the top! Would definitely come again!

Let's start with dessert - the prickly pear cactus is stupendous! And the tapioca is pretty great. For dinner the chicken/foie grad cannelloni may have been one of the dishes we have eaten in the past 5 years. Also try the Antis Than A wine if it's still on the menu - it's amazing! A great find.

We had SUCH delicious food here, service, menu, scene...absolutely loved our first night in Barcelona bc of this restaurant. We will be back before we leave!! We had croquettes (seafood filled), ceviche as appetizers...puertorican tamal, aged beef for dinner. Every single dish was perfect. Michael was our server and he was attentive and adorable.

This was probably the most disappointing meal we had while in Barcelona. I do have to say, the decor, ambiance and service were all good, as was the presentation of the food, but it lacked flavor and depth. The wine was good. However, the chicken and prawn cannenoli was very bland, and a small portion of the price. My husband had the pork Tamal with pineapple and polenta which sounded promising, but was again very small for the hefty price tag and didnt offer the punch of flavor we hoped for.

    Cactus dessert! Amazing!
    Monica D.

The food was fantastic! Creative, beautiful, delicious dishes. We had the tuna tacos and they were as beautiful as they were delightful. My main meal was the Thai curry with shrimp added. It has the perfect amount of spice and I would go back for it! The dessert was tasty with both sweet, sour, and multiple textures. The cactus dessert is not to be missed. Our server was Walter and he was great. His suggestions were spot on and we enjoyed him.

The BEST tapas restaurant I have been, and actually one of the best restaurant in my all life! Everything is just perfect... I'm not living in Barcelona, but it's always a pleasure to come back and eat here. JUST GO!!! I have no real recommendation because every tapas are excellent! And take a cocktail too!

For a great funky atmosphere, top notch mixologists, and creative tapas look no further!! We came here on a Saturday night and couldn't get a reso until 11. When we arrived we had to wait another 30 min for our table but it was perfectly fine because the server helped grab seats for us at the bar. My favorite tapa was the delicious calamari steam bun, order it!!! The carnitas taco tapa was also delicious! Everyone was super friendly we will definitely return!

Nestled in an unassuming network of cobble stone lined alley ways are hidden gems worth discovering. We came looking for tapas, paella, sangria; and we found just that. Location: Plaza de España is within a 5 min walk, blocks away from shopping, and 30 minutes from the airport by way of shuttle. Used Google Maps with several sharp turns to find this local favorite. Service: the owner employs his pet Pomeranian, that follows the wait staff unconditionally. This is a no frills restaurant; grab a seat anywhere you like, and order off the menu. What we ate: Table service - pitted olives; briny and herbaceous. So delicious as an appetizer. Crisp Potatoes - served with aioli and red pepper sauce; so simple yet so comforting. Fried Calamari - can't go wrong with crispy calamari. Pork & Mushroom Paella - I know we're used to seeing seafood, but pork and mushroom with crispy rice is different, bold, and worth each bite. Sangria Blanco - I won't lie, it was heaven with the first sip, and it left me wanting more. Unlike its red cousin; white sangria is lighter and more fruit forward. So refreshing! After 18 hours of transiting; this was a delectable experience.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert.
