This has been on our bucket list for ages, mainly to try their burger! We finally went for my husband's birthday celebration and it didn't disappoint. SERVICE 5/5 Our server was so great! The perfect level of interaction and letting us be, with some great recs. APPS 5/5 We got the cucumber and pepper with goat cheese apps, and they were delish! On the small side for sure, but great complex flavors. That cucumber dish foam - so unique. And the fries?! 5/5. Incredible aioli dipping sauce with it - we had to order a second round they were that good. DRINKS 4/5 I really liked the flavor of my Spoilsport cocktail, but for $15, it was mostly foam. BURGER 4/5 We came here for the burger because it had been so hyped up. It was good, but...SO many long stringy onions? Like a distracting amount of long stringy onion pieces - not really carmelized and not with a ton of flavor. We both agreed that this wouldn't be in our top 5 burgers in the Twin Cities rankings. I know a lot of people love it, but the onions just weren't our vibe! AMBIANCE 5/5 The vibe in here is great! Upscale yet casual, with bar seating, bright spots near the windows, and moody booths towards the back. Great date night or special occasion spot.
Surprise visit to one of the restaurants on my Yelp wishlist for our anniversary - YAY! I had no idea we were coming here and it was such a pleasant surprise. Petite Leon is a bar/restaurant in Minneapolis with a cozy, elevated feel. The dark, low lighting makes it perfect for dates or other intimate gatherings, and the food is outstanding. We ordered the Steak Frites Au Poivre and Le Cheeseburger which were SO good. I love a burger that melts in your mouth and I can't stop thinking about the crust on the steak. Incredibly flavorful and well balanced. My margarita was also top tier and I actually loved that the side of the glass was coated in salt. Our server was amazing. Friendly, professional and attentive. We got the wrong check at the end but they called immediately and are getting it resolved. It can easily become a splurge, but if you're looking for the lounge-like feel of a speakeasy, good drinks, and really impressive food, Petite Leon should be near the top of your list.
Reservations were made. We found street parking about a block away. We were seated immediately and the service was fantastic. We ordered a bit of everything - the peppers with goat to start, fry bread, a salad, the pork belly. The peppers with goat cheese was served warm. The fry bread seemed greasy and the ricotta served with it was surprisingly spicy - I was expecting more honey based on description. The smoked beets were a bit overpowering. The salad was delicious with charred flavor, cinnamon pears and gorgonzola. The pork belly was under whelming. The sauce was basic, overly tomato. The slaw was listed as apple but not apparent. Instead good mustard taste. I wouldn't avoid the location, but I'm not running back. It also wouldn't be high on my list of recommendations, but it might be in a consideration set. I might try to make my own version of the apple mustard slaw at home... It was a nice night out - overall, check it out. It might just be for you!
If you haven't been to Petite Leon make this the next restaurant you go to. From the incredible drink menu, to the intimate booths, and everything in between this place is so well composed. Go with someone who you will share with and get something from each section of the menu. We started with the Piquillo Peppers and loved them. Next up was the Cabbage with mushrooms. This was a special dish and I hope they decide to make it a part of the menu. We added the Pork Belly but it could easily be a great vegetarian option. Next dish was the Brick Chicken. Generous portion and the Huli Huli glaze is delicious. Really enjoyed the rice dumplings in this dish, a little crispy on the outside but delicate on the inside. For dessert we ordered the Arroz con Leche. This might be one of my favorite desserts. The fruit is seasonal but the Cardamom and toasted Coconut are perfect in this dish. Lastly, I have to mention their Old Fashioned....one of my favorites in the Twin Cities! The staff is amazing! We sat at the bar and everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed so comfortable with what they do. Again, if you haven't been, make it your next meal out!
Why have I not been here before? Awesome food. Not super fast service (at least this server). It's a small limited menu but perfectly executed.
Parking was a little tricky to find as it was street only. COCKTAILS I had both the Christmas in July cocktail and the Verde. The Verde was the standout here, with mezcal and some citrus, it's the perfect drink for warmer weather! The ice was too large though and kept hitting my face when I took a sip haha. FOOD Piquillo peppers were the surprise favorite. I would return just for these! Perfectly cooked with a delicious goat cheese. Beets were also tasty! They came out cold, which I didn't expect. They also were a little sweeter than expected. For entrees, my partner and I split the cavatelli and brick chicken. Cavatelli was delicious. The flavors were perfect. Though the peas were slightly undercooked in my opinion. The portion for the chicken was huge! I loved the sauce that accompanied it. Wasn't a fan of the rice cakes, but just a personal preference.
With a relatively small menu, this establishment eliminates the potential concern of not knowing what to select. I was actually able to order a whole bunch of dishes under their dinner menu, which was great because I got to try a little bit of everything, but it also showed how much their portion was relatively small for the price, which would be a minus, at least for the entrées. Out of all the dishes I have tried, I will strongly recommend the beets, the piquillo peppers, the brick chicken, and the two desserts: Arroz con Leche and Tarta de Queso. The beets conquered the controversial earthy flavor by incorporating whipped feta, serrano peppers, and red wine vinaigrette. The piquillo peppers, by using goat cheese along with the peppers, achieved a new pleasant flavor profile. The brick chicken was both crunchy and juicy with the duck fat pan sauce, with the only caveat being that $29 for just half a chicken with no sides on the plate was a bit too much. And for the desserts, I don't have any additional comments other than that they had both flavor and texture. The cheeseburger was good in terms of quantity and price and definitely could serve as a solid option for many, but it wasn't something that one can't find elsewhere. Everything else I would say is solid as well, just not spectacular, but I still would recommend them to whoever is craving for, for example, fish or pasta or cheese. I know that this establishment has more items on the brunch menu and it seems like its brunch dishes may be some of the highlights, so I would love to return for brunch one day!
Been meaning to try this place out for a while. The wife and I met up with a friend for dinner on a Friday night. We had a reservation for 6 PM but were running late. Called the restaurant to let them know and they were very accommodating. Good start and already a pleasant experience with their customer service. Once we got there, we were seated right away and the server came over with waters and helped us decide on some drinks. She was super friendly and courteous. Ordered a couple of drinks to get the evening started. The place has a old school casual vibe. Bar seating with a bunch of tables and booths that gives a classy vibe without being pretentious. We ordered the Piquillo Peppers for a snack and then ordered a bunch of appetizers. The peppers stuffed with goat cheese were excellent. The eggplant tostadas we also very good although a little on the oily side. The beets had a great balance of flavors between the creamy whipped feta and the serrano. The broccoli was the weakest of the apps I felt. It wasn't bad but not really standout either. For entrees, we shared the Steak Frites and Pollo al Carbon. Both of which were good. Even though a lot of places make Steak Frites or a similar dish, the béarnaise aioli and bordelaise chili sauce that came with this were what set it apart. Definitely would have that again and this would be something that would come to mind whenever I think of Steak Frites. The chicken was moist, cooked perfectly, boneless while retaining the shape of bone-in. The piri-piri sauce covering it had subtlety of flavor and enhanced the chicken in the best way. Definitely a delightful take on chicken. We finished off the meal by sharing a slice of the basque style cheesecake. Definitely a big enough of a piece to share between three people. I enjoyed the bitter basque style although it could have used a little more flavoring. The cream cheese overpowered the other flavors and even though the crumble helped, it wasn't enough. Overall, the service was great, most of the food was very good and the cocktails were enjoyable. I would go back for the peppers and the steak and give some of the other appetizers a try.
Brought my mom as she wanted to try somewhere good in the city. I was recommended Petite Leon from a number of people and had a good experience. Food was plated nicely and tasted great. Server was good and I liked the THC options. Will definitely return. - Anthony
We finally got to Petite León for our anniversary; we ended up getting bar seats for our reservation, since we booked late. Honestly, it was a fantastic experience! The bartender was super attentive & helpful without being overbearing. We were given a couple of glasses of champagne (for our anniversary), which was a sweet surprise. I also had the Istanbul cocktail, which was delicious, then the Freak on a Leash, which wasn't my favorite but was still tasty. I tried my husband's Negroni, which was "the best Negroni [he had] ever had", & it was amazing. We started with a Grilled Radicchio salad as an appetizer, which was the perfect fall salad & was delicious. For dinner, I ordered the Cavatelli. It was fresh & really tasty, & I would absolutely order it again. All in all, the space is really cute & cozy, the service is excellent, & the food is 10/10!
Dim lighting and very nice atmosphere for an evening dinner. Good for party of 2 and maybe as many as 8 comfortably. Started out with some small plates for appetizers and my top two were the piquillo peppers and the Le petite cheeseburger (yes we split a cheeseburger as an appetizer lol). For the main course we shared the steak picanha, skate and pollo Al carbon. All three were great but the skate would be my number 1 recommendation followed by the steak. My espresso martini was ok not great but the Paloma was really good. Overall very nice restaurant and we were very pleased with the experience!
Great experience! Came for dinner in a group of four. We started with the Caesar salad, smoked salmon, and cheeseburger. Then two orders of the pollo al carbon. Most of the pollo was packed to go. Delicious, but we were full after the shared appetizers. However, the pollo was delicious, even after reheating it the next day for lunch. Honestly, everything tasted well, and our server was pleasant. We are definitely looking forward to going back.
My friend and I met for happy hour one snowy evening recently and she picked Petite Leon. I didn't know much about it except that I cleverly surmised that it might be French. When I showed up I was pleasantly surprised. The room itself is large but still cozy, with lots of dark wood and high booths. T?here's just enough light but it's dim and would be a great date place. Cocktails were good. No complaints there. Food wise we sampled a bunch of stuff. -Steak tartare. I love a good tartare and this one got an A+ for presentation. It's served with a large square crisp on top... it's big, like maybe 6 or 7 inches square. And you are supposed to use your spoon to crack it and then you use it like crackers. Unique and fun, as well as tasty. -The mussels were very good and the portion was generous. The broth was really flavorful and it was served with a perfectly grilled piece of bread that was actually the size of Texas. -We had the gnudi which are like soft dense dumplings ... if you've had the gnudi at Snack Bar, same idea. These have a better sauce. -And we got the beets which come with an interesting granola on top and a yogurt sauce. I thought it was good but my friend really disliked the granola topping. Our server was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Would do again, looking forward to returning.
Good food, but not up to all the hype. Pollo carbon didn't have char (it looked deep fried?). Steak tartare was good. Best part was the mahi-mahi which was perfectly done and delicious. Good service at the bar. Nice ambiance. Just expected better. read more

Amazing meal! Better than 5 stars. I wanted to update my review after visiting last night to give this more stars, only to realize I had already rated it 5 previously. Well, now it is a much better 5! The dine-in experience significantly topped the prior take-out experience and I loved all of it. The atmosphere in this restaurant is so cool with vintage light fixtures, cool old booths, dark moody wood throughout, yet a fresh feel to the whole vibe with plants and art. Very fun. I was also happy to see it was absolutely packed on a Friday night with no visible seat to be had. Recommend making a reservation in advance. Service was friendly, helpful, and incredibly attentive. Drinks were so delicious! I had the Brawndo followed by a Margarita, and my partner had the Moon Dog followed by and Old Fashioned. Good to the last drop. The food tho... I haven't even started raving about the 5 courses of amazing eats. Piquillo peppers, toast with romesco, falafel, hamachi crudo, and gnudi. To summarize: Yum, yum, yum, yum, and more yum! Hard to choose a favorite among these. The piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese were perfect. The gnudi had a nice little kick of spice and the mushrooms so unctuous. The falafel may have been a surprise fave, light and bright tasting with lots of cucumber and other fixins, and I could eat that green almond hummus everyday. Oh, and the leche de tigre with the crudo was superb! We truly enjoyed our entire evening here and absolutely will be back. read more

This place has been on my list for a long time and it lived up to the hype when I finally went! For cocktails, I ordered the Moon Dog which had mezcal, green chartreuse, tamarind, and lime, but I think I actually preferred the drink my boyfriend got: the Brawndo. I had never had a cocktail with avocado in it but it played so nicely with the tequila, orange, lime, and habanero, and added a nice creaminess! Our server highly encouraged starting with the goat cheese stuffed piquillo peppers which were slathered in a delicious red sauce. We split the bison tartare and mussels with smoked ham and country bread to start. It was a VERY generous portion of mussels! For our entree, we split the Al Pastor which also was a very large serving and enough for 2 people post-apps. We did have to ask for extra tortillas (I think it only came with 3), but it was some of the most flavorful meat I've ever had and the smoked pineapple was perfect with it. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience. Make a reservation and go! read more
Happy Birthday to me! :) my boyfriend took me here to celebrate my special day under the impression that this is a French restaurant! For those wondering, I would not consider this a typical French cuisine restaurant. I'd describe it as a treat yourself decadent restaurant without all the fancy frills or pretentiousness that you may come across at other French restaurants. The food is delicious, and I think my boyfriend and I Just so happened to order the biggest portion items on the menu! The mussels were WONDERFUL, and came with huge pieces of bread. Split between two people this was an extremely filling appetizer that I had to force myself to stop eating in order to keep room for the other three dishes we ordered! The petite hamburger was one of the best hamburgers I've had, but I couldn't tell you what made it special - it's as if the chef too the essence of a hamburger and made all your favorite parts of it to the extreme- buttery bun, crunchy pickles, a melt in your mouth patty, and all the cozy feelings wrapped in a little burger. The chicken was one of our favorite parts of the meal - crispy skin and a sauce that takes you on a journey of spices and creaminess. I think it's a must try! Lastly I topped it off with a dessert of the chocolate brioche with fresh cream. It was fantastic, I was bursting at the seams and still ate the whole thing! Overall the ambiance was cozy but nothing extraordinary, and the service was quick and friendly. You absolutely must make a reservation and parking can be tough but the food is totally worth it if you're trying to celebrate a special occasion! For its price point I won't be coming regularly, and I was a bit surprised when the server mentioned giving something for my birthday but never did... might have just slipped their mind! but hopefully will be back to celebrate something again :) read more
A few weeks back I finally visited an eatery in the south Minneapolis Kingfield neighborhood that began building its accolades with its curbside fare when most people were staying home. With multiple James Beard award nominee Chef/Owner Jorge Guzman at the helm, this opulent eatery isn't short of artfully presented dishes that are commensurate to their flavors. The burger is an astounding feat that's taken the twin cities by storm, hopping into most connoisseurs' Top 5 lists as soon as it hits their palate. And admittedly myself as well as my table mates were no different. More on that fantastic beaut in a future post. But our table of 8 consisting of all first-timers, we felt it necessary to go ahead and run the menu on top of our burger orders. And each epicurean delight that came out seemed to be even better than the last, yet all the while us realizing they were all just that thoughtfully crafted to culminate our experience. In other words, tough to pick a favorite. But there were a few that stood out to my particular taste. What we ordered: Le Petite Cheeseburger ~ double patties * caramelized onions * pickles **this delicious masterpiece is now in my top 3 Twin Cities burgers. Perfectly cooked, juicy, rich cheese, perfect pickle acidity, and onion mashed and charred right into the patties. It's near perfect** Smoked Salmon Rillette ~ townhouse crackers * chives * crème fraîche **an outstanding starter with a nice smokiness that's then cut with a tangy bite of housemade relish and chive** Tartare ~ bison * roasted sunchokes * nori * smoked idiazabal * potato crisps **a unique tartar with some robust flavors. Nuttiness from the sunchoke, some splendid texture from the nori, and a bit of smokey creaminess from the idiazabal. A playful gesture of potato crisps to deliver the goods is a nice touch** Roasted Beets ~ pilpelchuma * labna * cashew * quinoa **another beautifully textural dish. You get sweet, heat, then cream from the beets, pilpelchuma, and labna, respectively** I'm Livin' to get back again and try some more delicious dishes since the menu typically changes seasonally. Speaking of, if you'd like to enjoy any of the aforementioned dishes, make a reservation soon! read more

Amazing dinner at @petiteleonmpls We absolutely loved each bite and could not get enough!!! Pictured in order: Tamales (These are not your regular tamales, they were melt in your mouth delicious), Piquillo peppers, Agua Chile (Beware of how spicy this is), Gnudi (This would not have been our pick normally but we were so so so glad we got this), Tarta de Queso (Would literally go back jus for this cheesecake) and the Pisco Inferno and the Oaxacan old fashioned. read more

For serious burger lovers, this is the place. It is the best smashburger in the city. 100% It just can't get any better. Well, if you add the fries it does get better. End with that Basque Cheesecake and all of your troubles will seem to fade away. I can't seem to bring myself to order anything else since the burger is so good. I really do need to come back and try something else. read more

I recently has such a great experience while visiting for a birthday celebration. Petie Leon is a bistro located in the south Minneapolis Kingfield neighborhood. We enjoyed great drinks, food, and the staff was fantastic! It's a place that feels instantly welcoming . I absolutely loved the character, atmosphere, and of course the large mural on the wall. The drink list had me excited to order from classic cocktails, specialty, and even a beer and a Yellow Jacket menu which is a Modelo w/ various bump optionsz As for the food menu, I wanted to try everything! Luckily I was with a large group and we tried/shared a lot! I don't have a picture of everything I ate, but have some of my favorites form the evening. Le Petite Cheeseburger - When you hear the rumblings about this burger being one of the best in the Cities you have to try it! I am happy to say that it surpassed my expectation! This burger was made w/ two 3 oz juicy double patties, dukes mayonnaise, cheese, caramelized onions, & pickles on a toasted bun. These ingredients came together quite perfectly to create an outstanding burger. Frites w/ a side of turmeric aioli - To accompany my burger I wanted to try the frites which were thick and nice and crispy! I enjoyed the turmeric aioli as well. Great flavor! Tartare - I shared this Tartare with my friend and fellow elite Ralph. It was my first experience with a bison tartare. It was made with roasted sunchokes, nori, smoked idiazabal (cheese), & topped potato crisps. What a beautiful dish it was! It was full of textures that went so well together. Roasted Beets - When beets are on the menu anywhere that dish will be infront of me! I absolutely love beets. The dish was made with pilpelchuma, labna, cashew, & quinoa. I loved the little kick from the pilpelchuma. Great flavors! I share this dish with friends, but defiantly could have devoured it alone due to the awesomeness of how good this plate was. Dill Gibson - what a great cockrial and i love dill! This night was a was a flavor exploration for my mouth. The hype is 100% true and this is one of the best food experiences overall of 2022 for me. read more
I've been wanting to try this place since they opened so I came for my birthday this year. It was nice! I wouldn't say it was spectacular but we had a nice time. We had a reservation at 815 on Tuesday. We were seating right away. The waitress was nice but i felt like she was pushing us out the door. Everything was really fast and our bill came before we were done eating. Items that I would come back for: Gnudi (like soft pillows of ricotta) Lamb birria Oysters (so insanely fresh) In my opinion the lamb birria and Gnudi are must gets. Everyone talks about the burger but honestly I didn't like it. It was extremely greasy and lacked flavor, just tasted greasy and salty. I have other favorites in the city. read more

Three words: GET. THE. BURGER. Seriously! I have tried many burgers in the Twin Cities, and this burger just made my top 10 list. If you like the burger at Parlour, this tastes very similar to that one. Two smashed patties with American cheese, onions and a slightly grilled and buttery bun. It doesn't get much better than that. Get this burger and thank me later! read more

We needed to get dinner before seeing Steve Martin and Martin Short on Friday and wanted to try a new place from my wife's list of restaurants. Unfortunately we were only able to get seats at the bar, fortunately it didn't matter. We started off with the piquillo peppers. They didn't quiet our stomachs, they were delicious and made us ready for what was next. We got the burger and the escabeche. We've been looking for the best burger in the cities and if this isn't the best it is a photo finish second. My only knock on it is the pickles, the burger came out piping hot and juicy which was amazing with a great crust. It had great melty cheese, delicious caramelized onions, but the pickles on there were so hot(emperature) I was getting hot juices shot into my mouth. It's just a personal thing, I wish they were on the side to add at my leisure. The escabeche was a great as well. If you are looking for something on the flavorful side, but a little lighter I would totally recommend this. We also got an order of frites. I mention it know because they came out well after the burger and escabeche, in fact we were almost done with them. They were perfect...crispy outside, pillowy inside, perfectly salted, and with the aioli were quite tasty. We finished our experience with the basque style cheesecake which was quite scrumptious. My wife's cocktails were delicious! When we can make it back we plan on getting the peppers and putting them on the burger! *Side note, we sat at the bar and with the exception of the fries coming out late our experience and service was excellent, highly recommend it to anyone! read more
I have been reading about Petite Leon for a while. When I noticed how close they were to some other great restaurants I created a progressive dinner consisting of food only. Petite Leon was our first stop. Since we knew we would be getting a lot of food we had to "try" to limit ourselves some. So we began with their double cheeseburger (Le Petite Cheeseburger). There is nothing petite about this double cheeseburger. This was a solid cheeseburger. Fresh bun, the burger had a nice sear and was still juicy. The cheese was melted perfectly. Loved the caramelized onions and there was some pickle to break up the richness. Didn't really blow me away, but still a solid burger. We also ordered the chicken (Pollo Al Carbon) and the Tarta de Queso which is their basque-style cheesecake. The chicken was very good. Flavored well and cooked perfectly however for $26 I feel it's over priced. The chicken is also very small. For $26 I would expect some sides or at least more chicken. This was good chicken but not for $26. Maybe it's "petite" chicken? I've been eating cheesecake for like 40 years, never heard of basque-style. I had to Google it. Basque-style doesn't have a crust. Instead of cooking it slow, the cheesecake is cooked fast to caramelize the exterior forming a natural crust. What's not to love about that! The cheesecake was excellent! Creamy with a slight caramelized flavor from the natural crust. Overall a good place. I'd return for the burger and cheesecake. They also have some other items on their menu that look tasty. read more
This place was added to the list of one of the many restaurants that opened in the past year and the burger got tons of hype. Smashed patties, a queso blanco cheese with caramelized onions and pickles sound like a winner! Now I don't doubt that this is a great burger from everything I've heard, the execution lacked a bit for me. The burgers were cooked a little too far with more char than desired and the onions were on the burnt side. On a good note, the queso was perfectly melted and oozed with every bite and we absolutely demolished the fries. read more

We choose Petite Leon as our first in restaurant experience after eating at home for 14 months and WOW was it a good choice. We made a reservation ahead of time (recommended) and there was plenty of street parking available. From the instant we walked in the ambiance was warm and welcoming. We selected a bar reservation and it was great. We got to meet Travis, the owner, who served us at the bar. He was friendly helpful and kind. We started with some fancy drinks, the asparagus and the meatballs - moved into the chicken and steak, with some fries and ended with the cheesecake and some marsala which paired beautifully. Everything was perfect. It was clear each dish was careful created and executed like a work of art. If I HAD to pick a stand out, it would be the chicken which was the best chicken I've ever had in my life. I cannot wait to return to try the mussels and the burger. Bravo! I wish I could give 10 stars. read more

I have only been here once...but I can tell you I can't wait to go back! We went for dinner on a weekend evening and I loved the atmosphere. Top tier service, great vibes all around. We heard a lot about the burger, it was good, the bun and patty was a bit to charred for my taste but I would give it another try. The short ribs were absolutely fantastic, melt in your mouth. The goat cheese stuffed peppers were so good I started making my own at home! read more
We had a reservation for dinner 6.15 at the bar on a Wednesday. This restaurant has a well known chef and the food did not disappoint. We started with a couple of their specialty cocktails and ordered the very popular pequillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese- very tasty. We shared our two main dishes - Tamales and a cheeseburger. This is no ordinary cheeseburger- it's small but double stacked, caremized onions and peppers- it melts in your mouth. Ordered the fries as well which had a very flavorful aioli dipping sauce. Tamales were good too- not something I have very often - creamy texture- lime mayonnaise sauce. We finished with the Arroz Con Leche- a good coconut flavor- my wife enjoyed it (her choice), the cheesecake looked inviting- (I should have ordered that to go). Good atmosphere, very attentive server- lots of staff there- we were through our meal in less than an hour. The food was reasonably priced despite the 20% additional living wage surcharge- our tab was a bit spendy due to the two cocktails and two glasses of wine (the pour could of been larger on the wine given the price) We brought home most of the dessert and left satisfied and not overfilled. read more
Wonderful! The food was very unique and delicious, service was great. The pollo al carbon really surprised me with a quite addicting buttery, spicy sauce. The tamal frito was also an unexpected favorite, perfectly crisped exterior with an impossibly smooth, silky masa inside. PL's burger has quickly risen to the top 5 or so of Minneapolis/St. Paul burger lists and rightfully so! The onions stand out and work perfectly with the melty queso. Make your reservation now! read more
The food was FANTASTIC. Service was great. But it is PRICY - the bill went way above what we anticipated for what we got. But the quality of food and flavors made it worth it for this "treat". Fantastic choice for a spendy date night - the atmosphere is very cozy and "date nighty" Piquillo Peppers - 5 STARS! Duck Confit - I've had better mole but this was a great duck confit taco! Arroz con Leche - fantastic flavor combination. The cheesecake was recommended but this was a sleeper especially if you like coconut and pistachios! read more

This has been on my list forever and I'm so happy O got to try it. It's in a great neighborhood but lots of other restaurants. Their drink selection and cocktails are excellent. If you like mezcal or Tequila this is your place. We had the moon dog which was declicious and very smoky! I was expecting the Brawndo to be more spicy but it tasted slightly waterred down. Maybe it was just my drink. Food was delicious! The piquillo Peppers tasted like elevated jalapeno poppers but like sooo good! The brocolini was also sooooo good, it was charred just right and the sauce was so yummay! read more

Incredible restaurant! Everything we ordered was fire. We opted to try 5 small dishes and share and I think it was well worth it. We tried the pan con tomate which doesn't sound exciting but is absolutely amazing; a giant piece of toast slathered in mayo/seasoning/tomato. The elote salad was very good; it did have a strong sour/like taste which may not be for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed. The falafel/hummus was cooked perfectly. The crudo was a great starter and very flavorful. And then I ended with the icing on the cake: the burger. This is an incredible burger. Smash style burger, very similar to a red cow burger but without the sauce. Definitely a top burger in the cities and I would definitely return just to have this. All in all incredible spot and would definitely recommend! read more
All the reviews here were really good, the menu looked amazing and we finally got a reservation to go and I was so excited. Well.. all in all. Not a great experience. Let's start with the cocktails, they were good, no issues there. For apps we had the royale and the tuna and both fell flat. The royale was legit quality sliced deli ham slapped on a plate with some fresh salad on the side, that was good but not notable. The tuna was quality meat served with some baby tomatillos and thinly sliced chilis with some thinly sliced radishes on top. It was good but the way it was served was just not the greatest. We also got the burger, we had specifically asked for it sliced in half.. well it came not sliced in half. The burger itself wasn't bad but nothing stand out. Also got the fries with turmeric aioli.. good, not great. For the mains we got the striped bass.. this was the diamond in the rough and it was so good. Hot and tender, just a good dish. We also got the gnudi.. it came not hot and had a hair in it! So we got a replacement gnudi that was hot and sans hair. Again.. good but not that great. To end it all, we got both desserts. I love cheesecake and this one was good. A little more dense but still good. Could have done without the rice pudding to be honest. Service was ok. Towards the end the waitress started talking to more people longer so we weren't a priority (or it felt that way). Don't need to go back at all. The ambiance was cool and the atmosphere was exciting and lively but the food quality and the service just wasn't there.. a miss for me. read more
Intimate setting in this casual fine dining restaurant. I was sold when I saw Brawndo and asked the waitress if it had what plants crave? She immediately responded with "yeah...it's got electrolytes"...my kind of people. Had the Oysters, hamachi, stuffed peppers, Elote salad, cheeseburger, steak, and basque cheesecake with my Sister. All amazing but standouts were the peppers, salad, burger and cheesecake. Sister said it was the best burger of her life. Cheesecake was also amazing. read more
Came here with the family for my husband's birthday and it was our first time dining here. The cocktails were great. The food was good but not great. Our app was probably the best thing we ordered, the hamachi crudo - melt in your mouth and full of flavor. Get it! My son had the cheeseburger and it was dry. The mussels were ok, a little fishy. The pork chop was pretty good. I was bummed they didn't have anything that sounded good for dessert. I'm giving 4 stars for the yummy crafted cocktails, hamachi app and the great service we experienced! read more
