It's a clean and spacious venue and Culinary Dropout catered the food here both times I have been here. And if you know Culinary Dropout, you know you're in for some truly tasty bites. If you're looking for a modern venue spot to hold all your birthdays; anniversaries; wedding(s), I'm not here to judge lol; work functions; baby showers; et cetera, look no further. We had beautifully decorated tables with assigned seats, fun music, a bar, and photo ops. The drinks were good - in my opinion they were pretty standard event cocktails. Definitely tasty, but not craft cocktail level drinks. When it came time to eat and we all went through the buffet, I had pretty low expectations since it is a buffet to feed over 100 people. I have to say though, the food was really and truly wonderful. Best event food I've had hands down. Overall if you're looking for a fun place for your next large party this is a great option. I'd be happy to have a reason to go back!

This was the perfect intimate venue and the night was absolutely amazing. Jonathan was extremely helpful suggesting a timeline for us and making sure the event ran smoothly. The fourth floor looks terrible -- there are empty, broken-down rooms and the hallways feel neglected. The carpet on both the fourth floor and first floor is in very bad shape and looks like it hasn't been maintained in a long time. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. The elevators are another concern. They make loud noises and honestly sound like they could break at any moment. There is also an unpleasant smell in parts of the building. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. This place used to be a great stay when we first came here, but now it's honestly pretty shameful to see how much it has deteriorated. The location and concept are great, but the hotel clearly needs serious maintenance and attention.

That means with down feather pillows that I come in contact with it could lead to a hospital trip. It was listed on my reservation.... always is... Didn't happen. I took pillow down to the front desk and dropped off. Aamil and the lady upfront apologizing... They were not the cause of my frustration. I do appreciate them and their service this night.... especially because they were pouring my drinks when I sat at the bar!! I thought an apology would happen at some point from management...not so much.. I will clearly chalk this up as a fail for Moxy Hotels.... as this seems to be missed by several of the Marriott chain hotels...and I continue to be loyal...(head scratching I know) The 2 star rating was given because the check-in experience was having me at zero stars...but the evening and morning staff working (Aamil, Kiara) was superb!! Smiling and friendly. Unfortunate experience So many choices out there ... Was told I was getting comped breakfast. Served each coarse with a pot of hot earl grey tea never running out. Food was scrumptious and well as visually charming. There was only the one choice of tea flavor as far as I could guess, but fine with me as I love earl grey. I wasn't expecting to sit with others, but that good for me to go out of my comfort zone a little and my Mom loves to chit chat with anyone and everyone. The servers were nonstop accommodating, moving and engaging. We will return for another tea. Also the gift shop was some wonderful trinkets. Will remember for holiday shopping. It's hard to list out all the reasons I love Mini Social: the event space itself, the customization that's possible, the location in Old Town Scottsdale, the kitchen, the storage space in the back, the lighting, 2 bathrooms inside, and all the options with the furniture (tables, chairs, couch, coffee table, etc) are all 10/10. Beyond this though, the team behind Mini Social is what stands out at the top of my list - they are truly so unmatched. You won't meet people more committed to making your event magical. While many people use Mini Social for private parties, baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, corporate events, etc, my experience has been with hosting craft socials for women's community events.
