If they give you Rm 317 with 2 queen beds - wait for another room. Its decent but beds are horrible…read morewhich is the worse thing about not being able to sleep good. I was initially supposed to get a king room, but they wouldn't have one for another hour or so. I agreed to a room with 2 queen beds. Normally, Marriott Brand hotels have the most comfortable beds. It was just me in the room, I did try both beds. They were terrible. Felt like boards underneath the mattress pad. The bed near the window- you could hear the creak of the bed just by pressing on it with you hand. I did try to lay on it, but it was worse. Every night I had the worst sleep and could hardly get out of bed, my back hurt so bad. 3 days after checking out I'm still taking ibuprofen and icing and having to use heating pad. 2nd note, there is free breakfast. I only made waffle bc it was hot food. The eggs and sausage were not good. The bacon was just red and uncooked- not sure if they just put in microwave for 2 minute but looked like a pile of red worms. Only had coffee 1x. My co/workers and I stopped at a coffee shop after we had breakfast that day. Next day we didn't have time. I just didn't want any coffee from the hotel.

We stayed here for business. It's a good location. We could walk to eat at plenty of restaurants…read more There's every cuisine you could wish for within a mile radius. Sushi, Mexican, American, Italian, even African. There's also several museums within walking distance. The ASU campus is a block away. Chase Field is half a mile away. You can take a 10-20 minute drive to see lots of different attractions- the zoo, parks, botanical gardens, trails, etc. There is a free shuttle but it only takes you within a 2 mile radius. There are a few homeless people around, as with most downtowns. The breakfast is the same as every Marriott. This is a no frills hotel. The pool is very small, and we never used it. The rooms are clean and comfortable but nothing fancy. We had a nice view of the mountains and Chase Field from our window.

I wouldn't call this a resort, but it met what I needed/wanted for a one night stay by the airport…read more The staff at the desk were friendly and I was checked in quickly. The room was as expected and clean. My only criticism is my room was right up against the road so the cars were definitely loud. Glad I had my noise machine. I did not want to Uber anywhere for dinner after a long day, so I took advantage of the Happy Hour. Score for the 3 free drinks! Friendly bartender. I went with a double of a Cabernet, grabbed some food (pretty basic with pork sliders, Mac and cheese). They really need some veggies. Got a seat in the back to read my book, eat, drink, and then back to my room for bed. Wish you could make the room temperature lower than 68*. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. The coffee was way too strong, so I got some at the airport. You sign up for the shuttle at the front desk which runs every 30 minutes. Overall, not your destination hotel but it was clean and the added extras (when it was just me) would prompt me to stay here again.

The next room had a stained bathtub...but better than the first room. But there were also holes in the walls, duct tape in vanity area, stained curtains and walls, and dirty floors. The Motel6 corporate website and phone number were useless. No effective way to file a complaint. I am not a neat freak...this place was just gross. Never again. Update: After 8pm some stranger was pounding on our door. We said, "we don't know you and are not opening the door!" Then we packed up, was refused a refund by the front desk, but was able to cancel our second night. Found another much nicer location a few miles away in Glendale. will request a refund for our first night from Motel6 corporate...if we can ever figure out how to reach a human being.

The air conditioner works well and it's 100F tonight. It has a desk in the room, a mini refrigerator and it doesn't smell like smoke. THE BAD The check in and check out desk staff are slow. While checking in, a couple of guests have been involved in some kind of situation involving the police. One guest was complaining that her room had all kinds of issues making it unusable, the staff just kept saying, "I won't have a maintenance person until tomorrow". This guest and staff went back and forth until they finally agreed to give her a different room. She had just checked in. When checking out, there was a line at the desk. The staff person heard some commotion coming from outside and left the desk to go to the door to watch, then came back with a gleeful smile on her face saying, "I have to check to see what's going on". No WIFI password was provided. The initial experience with the front desk was so bad, I didn't waste me time going back to ask for it. The light switch in the room at the door turns on the TV power but not the lights. The room was pitch black, a major hazard. I had to go back to the front desk to ask how to turn on the lights. They sent a non-English speaking security guard to show me how to turn on the lights. The room lights are tiny little inconspicuous black switches no one could easily find. (I tried before I went down stairs to the front desk). It's next to a rail road and trains pass by multiple times during the night and morning. The mini refrigerator looked clean but mades a strange sticky sound when opened. The bath tub shower enamel is worn out and the plumbing looks broken. (It function fine) The room had 1 roll of toilet paper and one towel. The people staying at this motel are sketchy looking. There were people walking up and down the walk ways all night, people hanging outside the rooms talking, men and women screaming at each other, next door a man continually pounded something in his room while yelling. There was prostitution going on in the parking area. There are no luggage Carts, you have to carry everything to your room up a flight of stairs. Don't risk leaving anything in your car here. The noise, car alarms, people yelling and fighting continued until around 5 AM. I only got 5 hours of sleep during a 15 hour stay. Total waste of my money and time and I ended up having to pull off the road to sleep twice after checking out, because I was so sleepy. I don't recommend this place to anyone, ever. I needed a place to stay because I can't currently drive at night. As a Wyndham member, I made my decision based on their available motels in the area and their ratings. I made a regrettable decision.

A different breakfast each morning catered to your taste! the entire house and the grounds are a study in itself with collectible pieces from different parts of the world and from various eras. Don is an amazing interior decorator. The bnb was central to everywhere we were and and safety and traffic was never a concern. I liked the fact that the nightly price was all we paid. no hidden service fees, cleaning fees or taxes. the bill was exactly the price of 3 nights listed, not a penny more. a first to not experience a high bill with all the hidden fees. this bnb was well worth the money and far exceeded our expectations. Don and Tom have have interesting stories from the various professions in which they've worked, and will gladly chat with you during breakfast and/or dinner (at your special request) while you enjoy a six star culinary experience (all food is prepared by the more than competent Chef Don!). We slept in the Oriental Room. The mattress was every bit as comfortable as our own (we didn't miss a wink of sleep once we laid our heads on the pillows); and the light blocking curtains on the French doors allowed us to rise when we were ready. We were also pleased to relax on the patio adjacent to our room, with a cheerful fountain gurgling happily for ambiance. Each evening, we enjoyed sipping wine and relaxing in the comfortable backyard oasis with the fountain bubbling and flowing into the koi pond as Don prepared our savory dinner. We were especially thankful that Don cheerfully transported us to and from Sky Harbor airport, and even made a stop at Target for us to pick up some necessities on our arrival. But this wasn't the only time Don helped us with the details of our vacation. He is a very friendly, helpful and capable concierge (and I mean that in the most respectful way) - there is just no end to this man's talents! We are looking forward to future visits at Don's Elegante Bed and Breakfast.
