Despite the slightly worn exterior, this place is legit. We dropped in because of the ratings. We had cocktails that were poured with a heavy hand. We had several rounds. Had a nice little lunch here one day and decided to come here after our wedding! We wanted to take pics in Isleton so we decided to have lunch here as well. I also love the Asian decor that they have in the restaurant. It's super cute. They were really nice about letting us go upstairs to take some pictures on their roof too. Might be a good place to hold a private party sometime. The first time I came in, I had the steak sandwich. This was very good. I would totally have this again. Hubs got the fish and chips and those were pretty tasty. The crawdad sando was also very good. Don't think you could go wrong with any of the sandwiches here. Nice place with a homey feel. This was the first time we have been to Peter's in maybe 10 years. The Service was great & the food we ordered wasn't bad, but it did leave something to be desired. We started w/ the crawfish cocktail appetizer & it was as good as we remembered. My husband & i shared the Ribeye. We ordered it medium rare but i think it came out more medium. Also the menu states that its 14 oz & even though i know thats the weight before cooking it seemed a little thin to me. For $49 I'm expecting a perfectly cooked thick steak. Aside from that the flavor was on point so it was seasoned well. We regret not getting the prime rib though. We saw a few of those come out & they looked amazing! & thats what Peter's is known for. Our girls got the prime rib french dips w/ fries. One loved it, the other not so much. I tried it, it was just alright. The aujus is good & the fries are perfectly crispy. Ambiance is classic. This Prime Rib house is in a very old building on the water in the cute sleepy town of Isleton, CA. I have been there almost a dozen time over the years!! I brought my New Jersey fiancé here for a great dinner in September. It was a Tuesday--normally in restaurants you can only get Prime Rib on the weekend, that is not true here!! We knew the waiter -who is the son of the owner--when we wanted to share a meal he suggested the secret menu!!! I am all in on SECRET MENUS! We ended up ordering a 3 POUND hunk of delicious Prime Rib to share. Added a soup and a couple of drinks. Our bill was way lower than most fine eateries and was fantastic!! My guy is a BIG eater and we finished it all!! If you are in the area stop by for a great lunch until 4 p.m. or splurge for the excellent Prime Rib--you will not be disappointed!! The Food is really delicious here and the service is usually great however we had a waitress that was a character which made the experience a little weird, when we ask for napkins she quoted how much they cost per napkin, when we asked for an extra straw she said she only gives straws to people who wear lipstick and she put them in our glasses with her hands, unwrapped. Stopped by for dinner on Monday night and it was amazing!! Walked in an we were seated right away. Service was outstanding the entire visit. I had the Steak Jessica with crawfish sauce and it was cooked to perfection. My super picky daughter had Alfredo and announced after two bites she's already ready to come back for more She loved it! My father had the trout and said it was amazing. My husband had the prime rib which is his favorite and said it was one of the best he's ever had. All came with a salad and two sides. This establishment was clean but in need of an overhaul. The padding in the booths were all but gone leaving us sitting on plywood covered in Naugahyde very low to the table. The Crab Rangoons were undercooked so chewy not crunchy. We tasted no crab or seafood taste whatsoever. I ordered the Prime Rib which I have to say was outstanding. Very nice Ju and horseradish on the side. Cooked perfect rare and perfectly seasoned. Cocktail was a big disappointment. I ordered an Old Fashion with their top shelf Whiskey Makers Mark. (Not top shelf). The drink was made with the bright red cherry and a fair amount of the cherry liquid as the simple syrup. It seemed the warm ingredients were poured over ice and stirred in the glass which made for a watered down drink. Finished with a lemon wedge. Missed on all fronts. The service was friendly but nothing exceptional. My Wife's Entree came out quite a bit before mine as my Prime Rib portion size was smaller than I had ordered and our server had to get it fixed.
