Peter and his crew do exactly the work discussed and clean up after themselves. We added work while they were here and they were easily able to fit it in the same day. We've had them out twice and will continue to use them for our additional electrical needs. All nice guys. read more

Peter and his team probably don't even need another 5 star review, but we can't say enough about all of them. What started out as a simple flush mount installation in our rental house three years ago led us to call them re our newly purchased home in Livermore trying to figure out why a light switch would trigger our dishwasher. Peter and his team were diligent, helpful and positive throughout the troubleshooting and resolution process, which actually bordered on the ridiculous because the problem was so obscure. They have our highest recommendation! read more

Peter and team did a full 200A electrical service upgrade, new main and sub-panel, two Tesla wall chargers, and fixed a couple outlets that weren't working. Work was super fast, well done, and his team are extremely courteous. Peter is very communicative and honest about trade offs in how to complete a project such as what's worth spending money on. My biggest recommendation working with Peter is TRUST his years of experience, capability of his team, and just let him do his thing. read more

We have been loyal customers for 6+ years. Recently we had all our light fixtures upgraded to LEDs. The team of 3 that came did an excellent job. Slight miscommunication regarding the dimmer for one of the rooms. They will return to reinstall and upgrade. They are very busy, they can schedule you for a confirmed date or place you on a waitlist. read more

I have used Peter Irving Electric multiple times and finally want to write up a review for them to share my praise. I have nothing but great things to say about the company. Very punctual, fair prices, and they do really good work. The entire staff is very friendly and always maintain a level of professionalism. Not long ago I had a wall outlet installed in my living room for a wall-mounted TV that was going to require removing an old receptacle and filling. They did a great job on both. The repair of the old hole you would never know was even there. Most recently I needed a 240v 50amp outlet installed to charge my EV. I was able to get scheduled and have the outlet installed in under a week! So thankful, especially during COVID. I highly recommend Peter Irving Electric A++. read more

my outdoor light bulbs went off every thirty days. after way too long, I saw the sign that said 'not intended for exposure to moisture.'

I called PIE to install some under cabinet lighting and a Ring doorbell. They did a great job. I was impressed with the service from beginning to end. Communication was great! read more

I've used PIE for several home automation projects now, and I've been very happy with their work. I'm relieved because I have been struggling with finding a good, reliable and cost efficient electrician. I used them first for wiring a fireplace insert. They did an amazing job. I called them back to install a Nest Hello doorbell which was tricky because the wiring run needed to be replaced. I have no idea how they ended up doing it, but it's all set up and working like a charm. I brought them back a third time for hard wiring motorized window shades. Really good crew and very responsive. read more

Full disclosure, I didn't end up using Peter Irving Electric (yet), but I plan to. I had a really great experience scheduling an electrician through Peter Irving on a short timeline. The customer service I received was truly excellent--and this was for a small job on a rush, which typically doesn't garner the time of day from most electricians. But Peter Irving treated me like a valued customer from the start and gave me a time slot that was very reasonable given my short timeline. I was very impressed and plan to use them in the future. read more

Easy to work with the office, responded quickly, fit my small job in the next day. Great crew, got here on time, did what they said they were going to do, kept me informed, all for a fair price. read more

Peter and team just completed a job of swapping out lighting in our kitchen and den along with fixing an electrical short. They were TERRIFIC! Did an amazing job, reasonably priced and Peter said it was going to be about a 4 hour job and they were done in 2. Will definitely be calling them back out to do the same work in our bathrooms. Thanks Peter!! read more

I can't say enough good things about PIE!! We called them because two outlets weren't working. You would think that Fidel who came to fix it would stop after finding the loose wire in one outlet, and just tighten it. But no. Like a true problem solver, he was able to ascertain that four outlets were connected, so they would all eventually fail if he didn't address it properly. He was so patient in answering all my safety concerns, and patient to explain what he was doing. Also wonderful to know that Fidel has been working for PIE for over twenty years. A testament to the workforce Peter Irving has working for him. read more

Great service, good price and good problem solving when we wanted to add grounded outlets to an older poolhouse. Recommended!

I hired PIE to replace the cam lights in my kitchen. From start to finish, they were great - prompt, courteous, efficient, friendly, reliable and professional. I'll be hiring them again. read more

I picked Peter Irving Electric at random from the Good Service Guide and I'm so glad I did. They are great and if I could give them more than five stars, I would. They are by far the most professional team of people I've dealt with when it comes to getting work done on my house. They responded promptly to my initial inquiry, did a walk through with me to identify the work that needed to be done, gave me a WRITTEN estimate within two days of the walk through as promised, arrived at my house EARLY on the day that they were scheduled to do the work, and completed the work on time and on budget! Prior to finding Peter Irving Electric, I spent a lot of time trying to get other electricians to just call me back. I also stayed home from work one day waiting for another electrician who had an appointment, didn't show up, didn't bother to call to tell me he wasn't coming, and didn't follow up afterwards to reschedule. Ridiculous! Well, no more of that nonsense now that I have found Peter Irving Electric. I have already recommended Peter to one friend and won't hesitate to recommend him over and over again! read more

On 9/22/16 Fidel and his assistant performed an outstanding electrical improvement on our house. They were very efficient and did not take as long as I thought it would. Both were very courteous and helpful with my questions. read more

They got back to me almost immediately after I filled out an online request. Scheduled the walk-thru based on my availability and had the proposal ready for me to review the day after. The proposal was clearly laid out, how much total cost was going to be and, if there are any unexpected work/material, I would have to be consulted before getting it done. Everything worked out great --- no surprises in the total cost (I paid what I was quoted) and the work done is excellent. Very neat and no unnecessary visual sore. I was also asked before running any line or pipe to make sure I was in agreement about their placement before proceeding. I consulted with another electrician before Peter and was quoted only a tiny bit more, but the main thing that made me go with his company is the fact that he didn't tell me he'd have to punch holes on the walls and I would have to repair and paint them myself. He figured out a way to do the job with the least damage possible. I highly recommend them! read more

We had a dead animal smell in the back bathroom. At a moment's notice, they sent a team who removed the air duct of the exhaust fan with a dead rat which has crawled in the exhaust (hard to believe), and installed a better, secure system. They accommodated our crisis with cheerful and professional workers. They also succeeded where exterminators were at a loss. They lived up to their usual high standards in an unusual assignment! read more

Each morning when I get up and switch on a light, or turn on the quiet bathroom fan, or plug my iPad into my new charging station, I think of Peter Irving and his team. And, when my programmable front porch light timer helps to light the night or when my laundry can be washed and dried at the same time without tripping a switch, I quietly thank Peter Irving and his highly motivated, competent, hard-working, and creative team. They showed up on-time each day for 2 1/2 days ready to perform their magic providing quality service for their customer. Now, I thank/commend Peter, Donna, Fidel and his crew through this review. It all began with research through various publications culminating with YELP!, whose respondents confirmed my research and provided me with the confidence to proceed with this company. From the initial contact, walk-through of my home, through completion of the job, our contacts have been totally professional. I provided a plan of my home, built in 1945, which was the starting point for all discussions and creative suggestion-giving. Within a few days, Peter submitted a clearly written proposal and estimate. After my review and a few change submissions, the proposal was signed and, approximately 3 weeks later, work began. Fidel, the foreman, and his crew of 6 arrived, before the agreed upon time of 7:30A each day, ready to begin. They attacked this complete electrical rewire in 3 phases, making certain that service was reestablished through the night. This was great because I could test the work completed and, if required, could be corrected the following morning. Fidel and his crew took necessary precautions to minimize dust, which is part of any construction, and cleaned the work area of debris at the end of each day's work. Any questions I had along the way were clearly explained to my satisfaction, either by Fidel or Peter, who checked in daily. This total electrical rewire involved disconnecting and removing as much of old wire as possible and installing new wire throughout the home. Installing new and additional outlets and switches in the interior, exterior (GFCI), and garage. Installing smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in bedrooms, hallway, and parlor. Installing a more powerful and quiet bathroom fan and fan capability in bedrooms. New circuits in kitchen for lighting, dishwasher and garbage disposal. New lighting and furnace circuits in the garage. Installing an additional 2-20 amp circuits for future expansion needs. Installing an additional doorbell transformer, plus all the features noted at the outset. But the most important work this team did was to find and remove a long-standing electrical hazard that would have been detrimental, if conditions were right, to me, my family and all those who visited or were guests in my home. A day after the total rewire et al, Peter came to hear if all was working to my satisfaction, as designed, and per my expectations. It was only after my input that payment was requested and happily given. This; however, was not the end of our contact. One week later I received a follow-up email saying, "just wanted to check and make sure all is working well." It still is and I am grateful. Based on my experience with Peter Irving Electric, Inc., they are a consummate professional organization, trustworthy, honest, and with a competent, dedicated office staff (Donna) and work crew. I rate their Quality of work - exceptional; their Dependability/reliability - exceptional; their Communication - outstanding; and their overall Customer Service - exceptional. read more

I found Peter Irvng in the good service guide 13 years ago. Peter, Donna and their team are a well oiled machine. They are incredibly efficient: knowledgeable, resourceful, and timely. Directly, he did incredible work with my home by installing recessed lights and my plasma tv. All are in great order still. Indirectly through a contractor, his work on my jet tub and electrical for my two bathrooms and kitchen were exceptionally done. Today he mounted my bedroom television, replaced all florescent and halogen lights with LED lights in my garage, bedrooms and kitchen. In addition, he took care of a troublesome relatively new ceiling fan light that was installed by a handyman. All of his work is absolutely amazing. I'm thrilled. I found the prices very reasonable. What's more, his team is extremely responsive. Emails and calls are returned quickly. I often have to call services several times before hearing back. read more
