My husband and I were in the market to purchase a duplex with our close friends (and neighbors of many years). Our other friends had worked with Peter and referred him, so I already felt more comfortable. Peter is who he says he is and he comes through; he brings himself to the table and there are no secrets or shadiness in his intentions, though there were times we wanted more things in (formal) writing, which I think was difficult given the constant back and forth with the seller's agent and developer (phone, text, etc). He's excitable and passionate, very outgoing and personable, respectful, and honest. He has high standards for himself, for others, and for the craft of building and maintaining a lasting home. We have literally no other comparison, but from my understanding of a real estate agent, Peter went above and beyond just showing us a few houses and then bailing. He walked us though the entire contract of buying a house on our first in-person meet up and explained everything in detail. He also answered most, if not all, of our questions, even if it took some prodding. (I understand we're not his only clients, but we had a lot of questions and didn't necessarily fully trust the developer we were purchasing from.) Our situation was a bit tricky, and I think that given all the complexities, Peter was there through it all. We don't know what it was like working with the seller, but I will say that I am fortunate that I did not have to be the point of contact or person handling all the logistics and communication. He is super responsive and on top of the process from start to finish (and beyond), and I personally am so appreciative of him and his support through this very stressful and exciting time. We are in our home now, which we love, and he's still following up to get information we requested weeks ago! read more

Peter was incredible to work with during the process of buying our first home. His knowledge, energy and discernment got us the house we wanted and at our exact price point. He was always up front, communicative and personable during the entire process. We love our home and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peter to anyone looking to buy or sell. read more

Peter came highly recommended from several friends who he had recently helped with buying their first homes in LA. I learned so much from working with him and with his guidance, I was able to find a house that checked all my boxes, was within my budget, and had some room to grow. I've now been living in my home for a little over a year and I couldn't be happier with it. I can't thank Peter enough for helping me find exactly what I was looking for, make an offer and get it accepted in spite of having steep competition (12 other offers to be exact). If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, patient, well connected, easy to work with, and just an all around good person, look no further! read more

This was our first time buying a house and he started the process by explaining what we could expect from start to finish. He walked us through a real estate contract, which was very helpful, and was patient with us throughout our year-long search. We ended up becoming very close friends which speaks to his vibrant personality and look forward to working with him in the future read more

We are so lucky to have Peter as our Agent. My wife and I were first time home buyers. Trying to find a place that was just right for us with a lot of really random needs that are not to common in a city like LA. There would be no way we could have had made it happen with him. Beyond patient, trustworthy, super helpful, and somehow always available to answer all of the questions that come up during the whole process. We can't thank him enough for guiding us through everything. It made the whole process as smooth as it could possibly be. He even went the extra mile to set us up with a great network after the purchase to help with all of the little things that pop up after we moved in. read more

Peter is an absolute gem of knowledge, process and integrity during our home buying experience. We would absolutely work with him again.

Finding an honest realtor in LA is harder than finding a needle in a haystack. Thankfully I was lucky enough to come across Peter. Not only is he an excellent, reliable and punctual agent, he is an incredible human being. No sales tactics with Peter. He is a straight shooter and honest to a fault. He helped me move my property and was so efficient through the process. All of his contacts from staging to lenders are on the same level as him. I couldn't be more happy with the service I received and would recommend him to anyone. He's my go to agent for life! read more

Peter goes above and beyond! We had the opportunity to work with Peter on our first home purchase, we loved his work so much, we called him again when we wanted to sell. As we expected, Peter again went all for us. He walked us through every step of the way. His communication is excellent and timely - he will always work to find answers to questions. If he doesn't know right away, he will find out. Peter worked tirelessly for us and helped coordinate all the moving pieces. His strategy, negotiation, and networking skills are top rate! Peter listened to our thoughts and desires and offered sound advice. He is beyond nice, and a true professional. Thank you Peter! read more

Peter helped us find a house in October of 2020. He was extremely patient and worked tirelessly and with great enthusiasm to find us something that checked as many boxes as possible while staying in the general area of our budget. As first-time home buyers, he worked to get our questions answered, and to steer us in the right direction when it was clear our lack of experience was going to harm us. He was willing to meet us at houses he wasn't crazy about just so we could learn and gather a reference. He was willing to find us something outside of his general working area. The guy really gave it his all and made us feel like we were his only consumer. Great guy, great attitude, no pressure, only helpful. Would work with him again. read more

When I decided to move from being a renter to a homeowner, I asked a friend for a recommendation. Thankfully, he had the good sense to draw on Peter's expertise during their search. Peter is ridiculously capable at not only navigating a bizarre market such as Los Angeles is, but he guided me through the process deftly, recognizing how I would respond and adjusting my focus on what truly mattered in the process. In adjusting to my new normal, he actually guided me toward enjoying the process and finding the intersection of what I wanted with what was available (spoiler alert: the end result was very little compromise on my end). I could not be happier with this process -- Peter's steady hand helped me to settle into a home that has me truly excited for the next chapter of my life. read more

Peter was such a huge help in finding our new home. He was available and responsive anytime we had a question or concern. We love the property we ended up purchasing. We will call you in a few years when we're ready for an upgrade ;) read more

For our first home and as first time buyers in the crazy Los Angeles market we knew we needed someone we trusted to guide us through it. Things move fast in this market and Peter navigated us through the process flawlessly with his signature empathetic and caring approach. He 'gets me' and I needed an agent who knew how to break things down in a way that I would understand and help steer us on the right path when we needed it. The attentiveness was so appreciated, especially when we got cold feet during the inspections process, it's such a daunting experience and on many occasions he really stepped up to keep us trucking along. I don't know how he was able to navigate our needs so well, but he did, time and time again. His transparency and honesty and genuine desire to fight hard for us from the offer process, through escrow and inspection/repairs process was the only way we made it through this process at all! Thank you Peter, we absolutely couldn't have done this without you. Happy to provide further details on request should anyone want to hear more! read more

We sold our condo with Peter as a realtor. While we sometimes challenged his suggestions, in every case, it turned out he was right! It sold quickly and well over asking. He made the process as painless as possible and we're friends for life. I'd highly recommend Peter for your real estate needs. And LISTEN to his suggestions! He knows what he's doing. read more

Peter is everything you would ever want in a real estate agent. He made a typically very stressful process very easy and fast. He was extremely responsive and receptive to any and all questions and concerns. When we went to sell our house, he had an exact strategy, timeline, and price goal, and within 2 weeks we accepted an offer. Buying our new home with Peter was just as painless. He's always available to answer questions and make sure to get all the info needed/set up the right appointments. You'll feel like you've known him for your whole life as he's also one of the nicest people on the planet. Can't recommend Peter enough! read more

From the first day meeting Peter my wife and I knew we found the person we wanted/ needed to navigate us through purchasing a new home. Professional and extremely knowledgeable about all angles of this (what I hear can be) difficult and tedious process, Peter has never let us down, as a realtor and friend. From setting up lunch meetings with our ever changing time schedules, aggressively contacting builders with issues, and recommending A1 class professionals to help with finishing touches in our home, even after the move in date. Peter DiVito is the one stop shop. And after all is said and done, these things mentioned above come in as a far second place to the character and human aspect that is Peter DiVito. Genuine and patient, you will feel comfortable. Informed and passionate, you will feel confident. Trustworthy and respectful, you will have a friend. There is no where else my wife and I will turn for our real estate needs. read more

Peter was an absolute delight to work with! We could not have asked for a better realtor. We always felt that he had our best interest in mind. He was never pushy, and was patient with us when we asked a million questions. We considered ourselves pretty picky buyers, and Peter never made us feel guilty for that. In fact he encouraged us to never settle for anything less than our perfect home. He was transparent with the entire buying process and made sure we were managing our expectations while looking in this competitive market. We definitely lucked out working with Peter!! We are confidently recommending him to anyone who asks for referrals, and we would absolutely work with him again! read more

Peter is the BEST realtor in LA! After making offers on 7 houses with another realtor and always coming in second, we felt like we weren't getting any guidance and needed a change. Peter helped us win the first house we tried to get with him, our dream home. He had great guidance and strategy and always knew the right moves to play and we felt totally confident in his hands. He's also highly connected in the industry which is invaluable in the LA real estate market. To top it off, he's just really nice and fun to work with, making the process as easy and stress free as possible. Can't recommend Peter enough!!! read more

Peter is a phenomenal realtor. Our experience with him has been amazing from start to end. During our first meeting, he walked us through the house-buying process, including the fine details and paperwork required. This was a very generous use of his time, which prompted us to hire him as our realtor. His efforts continued to be top-notch all the way through the process. He was extremely timely at every step, and fought on our behalf to get the best possible prices, not just for the house, but also on the services and work needed for the house. He and his team worked tirelessly on all of the elements of house buying including the inspections, contract work, escrow, etc. There was no point in which we felt lost. We recommend him 100% read more

I can't say enough about Peter. Not only is he detail oriented, diligent, and knowledgeable... But he's just an all-around good guy. I started dipping my toes into the Los Angeles real estate market around the May of 2014, along with what seems like the entire population of Los Angeles, based on how demand started to skyrocket then. I did not have great luck on timing, I suppose, but I can confidently say I lucked out big time with a dream team of Realtors. I worked with both Peter and his colleague at Teles Properties, Eli Karon. Initially, Eli was recommended to me since he knew the west LA market really well. As I started attending more open houses, Peter joined the fun -- between the two of them, I always was covered. Dynamic duo is an understatement. It took three years, but I finally closed on a place that I love last month. I'm so glad that Peter and his team were with me on that long journey to homeownership. I must have looked at 50 places in 2015, and we made strong offers on three or four, only to be beat out in best and final offer situations. The joke among the three of us sadly became that if I graced a place with a visit, it was guaranteed to go into multiples well over asking price. C'est la vie. When "80's fantastic" places (without updates) started going for $100k over asking, I folded and renewed my lease, once more. Again, Peter and Eli were understanding of my decisions, and never became irritated or pushy when I decided to step out of the market yet again. A place popped up in the fall of 2016, and we made an offer. We got close. Very close. But the seller's agent was aggressively trying to make us negotiate against ourselves (they had no other offers) and we eventually walked. In hindsight, I'm glad it worked out that way. The thing is, Peter or Eli could have easily pushed me at that point to say, hey, this is like $50 more a month, just get this deal done already. But they didn't. This was just one of many occurrences where they showed me that they had my best interests at heart, and not their own. Peter and Eli stuck to their principles, and recommended a course of action that, in effect, diminished their likelihood of compensation. I cannot stress enough how fantastic it is to work with people who actually uphold that fiduciary duty to a client. May 2017 rolled around, and Eli contacted me about an off-market opportunity. I was reluctant given how the market has been, but he and Peter knew the selling agent at Teles, and they encouraged me to take a look. I guess it was meant to be. The purchase process was smooth, and I have Peter and Eli to thank for providing me with the guidance necessary to navigate the purchase as a first-time buyer. Besides putting up with (literally) hundreds of emails from me, which received quick responses, Peter and Eli were readily available to hop on the phone to walk through options and discuss the process. We had to work out a few details during escrow with the sellers, but I had the best team for the job. Peter and Eli always offered great advice on which paths to take, but were very receptive to my ideas and concerns. They were my trusty sherpas as I ascended the stressful mountain of first-time homeownership. Peter is not only a fantastic realtor, but an amazing human being. A Zen-master. He's kind, jovial, optimistic, and has a phenomenal outlook on life and the world. You may wonder why this matters, but meet him, and trust me, you'll feel better having that kind of character on your side. I think perhaps the best example of the kind of person Peter is came two days before my move. Through some miscommunication, the sellers ended up leaving an old grill, a 15' potted tree, an insanely heavy plaster water feature, about a dozen potted plants, and two wrought iron plant racks in an enclosed patio. The only way to get it all out was through the front door, and that needed to happen before my furniture showed up. I was massively stressed about it, and I think Peter could relate (he's as, ahem, "detail oriented" as I am). Without a second thought, Peter told me he was going over to my new place after his showing to get the stuff out. By the time I showed up, he had already removed most of the potted plants and was hard at work getting the iron racks out. But for the lack of the right tools, I think Peter would have gotten the space fully cleared. I called a junk hauler for the remainder the next day, but the mere fact that Peter was ready to get his hands dirty on a moment's notice, with no personal benefit to gain, is an indicator of his character. How many Realtors would do that for a client? Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Eli's executive assistant, Danielle. She is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet, and she will gladly jump in to help make arrangements for various services needed during the closing process. She rounded out my Realtor team and was integral in getting to closing. In the end, Peter and Eli didn't just treat me like a client -- they treated me like their brother. read more

Purchasing a home is intimidating. I had been using RedFin and other internet based real estate services and not seeing anything that had enough of what I wanted. Or if I did finally find a property that I liked-- it would already have a pending offer(s) by the I got to the proverbial table. However, that all changed when a good friend referred me to Peter. Peter used his real estate know-how / connections / skills to find me the PERFECT home. I couldn't be more pleased with Peter. If you're thinking of using a realtor, consider Peter; I know I got a better house for my buck all because of him. read more

Peter is phenomenal. We were incredibly lucky to work with him for our first home purchase. During escrow we hit some major obstacles due to a difficult seller and Peter absolutely saved the day. Peter really went above and beyond in representing my wife and I in buying our first home in Los Angeles. We were living in Chicago at the time, so on the few occasions when we could be there in person, Peter made sure all our showing were lined up and really worked with us to figure out our top priorities. We never got the sense that he was just working for his commission. He ALWAYS put our interests first. I fully recommend Peter as our experience with him was phenomenal. read more

Peter Divito is the agent to work with. Young, personable, extremely hardworking - we couldn't have been in better hands. He always made himself available to us, and was very knowledgeable about the different areas of LA and the different aspects of the home buying process. It was our first time buying a home and he really made the whole process very manageable and straightforward. Our lender was a bit of a nightmare, but Peter was there to act as a buffer, a confidant, and our biggest cheerleader. The whole experience felt incredibly personalized, and at the end of the day - he helped us find the perfect home. I wouldn't recommend anyone more highly. read more

We can't say enough great things about Peter Divito. Peter sold our condo and we couldn't be happier. We had purchased a house first from a different realtor before we sold our condo. It was a completely different experience. The other agent was untrustworthy, unprofessional, and did not have our best interest. Needless to say, we didn't use him to sell our place. Peter was the complete opposite and again I can't stress what a completely contrasting experience it was. Purchasing and selling a house is one of the most eventful things in one's life. Buying your first house should be stressful but joyous and exciting at the same time. It was all stress and anxiety. Even months after, we were still dealing with the repercussion of the first agent. We wish Peter was our realtor for both. Peter and his team are top notch professionals. You can trust that Peter will do his best for you AND it is about YOU. His attention to details is insane, he is a perfectionist. As great of an agent he is I think he is even better as a human being. It is who he is, a person with integrity, kindness, patience, optimism, that will carry-on over to his work. Anyone out there who has someone they dislike and needs a realtor, I can give you the name of the other guy @ Keller Williams. But if you're looking for someone who is an expert in his field coupled with integrity- Peter is your guy. I want to mention he sold our place in 3 weeks and at a figure that we were happy with. We would use him again (obviously) and recommend him to anyone. read more

Peter is the man!! I have never seen someone go through greater lengths to hand hold, lift the veil, and even carry every person involved in the transaction to the finish line. His honesty and integrity are bar none, I am blown away at his transparency and how humble he is. Got an agent on the other side who can't get things done, Peter will step in and do the right thing every time, even if it means doing the other person's job for them. Peter cares about people which is such a rare and genuine thing in the real estate industry. Every interaction with him felt like it was about us, not the transaction. Look I never leave reviews, the exceptional person and service Peter provides compelled me to do so. If you are lucky enough to meet Peter, just trust the recipe and go with it, he will take amazing care of you!! read more

My spouse and I were on the hunt for a second home in the neighborhoods spanning from Silverlake to Glassell Park with a specific vision of what we wanted. We've vetted a few realtors before deciding to work exclusively with Peter. We've come to realize that Peter is beyond accommodating, insightful, patient and substantially knowledgeable of real estate all around. Like I said, we were a bit picky when it came to properties and Peter was aware of this. He diligently and patiently worked with us until we found a property we loved. Long story short we were out bid for the property and had a sudden career opportunity that relocated us to the east coast. I'm sure this sudden shift would detour other realtors, but not Peter. He was extremely accommodating and shifted gears helping us find a short term renter for our loft in Silverlake. Yes, he can even help you find a place to rent or a renter for your place, he is that good! I cannot recommend Peter enough. read more

It was a real pleasure to work with Peter! The process started with Peter's checking out open houses for us based on our guidelines and sending us notes for each property we visited. Once we decided to make an offer, he helped us to present our offer in the best possible light. He was always incredibly responsive, available, and clear in his explanations.
