I am appalled at this office. AVOID AVOID AVOID! I started the process of getting my son braces beginning of October. We went in for a consultation and got a quote for $4185. Which is fine because I have insurance and I knew that they cover a good portion of that. I then realized that I needed a referral from my dentist for the insurance to cover it. Fast forward a month for our dentist appt for a cleaning and a referral. We get our referral and Jennifer S. (The girl who deals with the financials there) said that this is still the price and that they gave us a discount. (Which was 10%) We called our insurance, Delta Dental, and they confirmed that the Ortho office needs to send in the quote for Pre-Authorization. I called Jennifer back and said they need to sent it in for approval. She was like...oh okay no problem I'll send that over. Keep in mind it could take up to 3-4 weeks for an approval. I was like okay no problem. Fast forward another month no word. I called in to check Jennifer is like Oh I have no idea what's going on, let me call Delta. So we went back and forth a bit but and found out they never received the quote. She sent it in again. Magically they got it in a week and I found out last Monday when I called Delta Dental that it was approved and my new amount to pay is $1340. I call Jennifer all excited like "Hey Jennifer! It got approved and you should be getting your letter today in the mail" She was like "Oh great!" So I thought we were good to do. The VERY next day I get this email from her and I quote " Hi Michelle, After speaking with account today, I was informed starting January 1, 2021, we will no longer take your plan. I want to make sure you're aware the fee would go back to our regular fee. We would love to have your son as a patient here but it would have to be as a cash patient. Thank you for your understanding. Jennifer S." What the.....I am speechless. Why bother to go through the process of trying to get this approved from our insurance if you want to charge us full price. SCAM SCAM SCAM!! DO NOT GO HERE! I have no idea why they have good reviews! The orthodontist wasn't even that pleasant when we had our consultation. I decided to go to BrightNow here in Burbank and got a same day appt. In and out in 30 min with the consultation and already know what the insurance covers and what my payment is. WAY BETTER SERVICE!! read more

I've had my initial braces with Dr Zand in Burbank back in 1999 or 2000. They turned out ok but she uses very old style almost dinosaur age retainers that won't keep your teeth in place. Almost immediately my teeth started moving and she wouldn't want to fix the retainer. I ended up going to Dr Hudson in Glendale after a few years and he put in a permanent wire on the back of my lower front 6 teeth and those stayed stable and everything else moved. Long story short I came to Dr Brenn to get his opinion and see how we can proceed. He recommended Invisalign and we were supposed to finish and fix things with 14 trays but he added I think 12 or 14 more trays to make sure I'll get my desired outcome and even after that he added 9 more trays to fine tune everything and keep me happy. He's an awesome orthodontist and wants to make sure you're happy with your results. I'm not done yet but I'm sure I'll have an awesome outcome once I finish these last 9 trays. His staff is really nice and they all have a smile on their faces every time I went in. I wish I didn't have a bad experience before and didn't have to do this 3 times but I'm sure this is going to be the last time and I'm confident I'll have amazing results. read more

Dr. Brenn is one of the best, if not the best Orthodontist in the Burbank/Glendale area. Both of my kids had their braces done at his clinic and they just love how their teeth look now. Dr. Brenn is always available if we had any questions and he is really good with the kids. He knows and has a way on how to talk to them. The staff at the clinic are really nice and very friendly, especially Abigail who is always cheerful whenever we see her. She accommodates us when we need to schedule or re-schedule appointments and always reminds the kids what they have to do, before and after their appointment. Even when we had an emergency and had to postpone our appointment, she gladly helped us move it to another day. She's really awesome! As an adult going to get braces, I was a little apprehensive at the whole experience, but the front desk staff made me feel very welcome. I had a thorough consultation with Dr. Brenn and left feeling comfortable with the proposed treatment plan. Over the course of my treatment, I had very good experiences from all areas of Brenn Orthodontics. The front desk staff was always very nice and personable. Wow. I came in for an orthodontist's second opinion (I had already paid for an Invisalign treatment with my regular dentist) to see if I should pay for another teeth straightening treatment to finish the job and Dr Brenn was extremely helpful and caring. He even volunteered to call my dentist and give him recommendations for finishing my Invisalign treatment and recommended that I not pay for another treatment with someone else. I was really impressed by how helpful and accommodating he was. I wasn't expecting him to go above and beyond like he did. I feel most health care professionals have a 'So how do I profit?' attitude, but I didn't get that from Dr Brenn. Dr. Brenn is very knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Not to mention his staff (front of the office and the nurses) is attentive, accommodating, and welcoming. The office is extremely well maintained, especially with cleanliness. Proper precautions were maintained throughout my visit with COVID-19. My daughter got braces from a different ortho, she lost her retainer and her gap opened again. I took her to Dr Brenn because I was an adult patient of his and I knew he could help. He did, it took 6 months, he cemented a permanent wire bar behind her gap to keep it closed and her teeth were better this time then when she got her braces off the first time. And he took them off in time for prom! We are both so happy with the service and the result. The front office staff know you by name and they are very sweet. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. This dentist extracted four bicuspids when I was only 12 years-old and ruined my life by doing so! I wish I could sue him! I have had horrible TMJ problems and migraine headaches since he took off my braces 16 years ago! I finally found an experienced dentist who is now trying to undo all the damage he did and it is costing me several thousands! I would never recommend him to anyone not even for a cleaning! Dr. Brenn and his staff are AMAZING. I finally decided to get braces as an adult. I was referred to Dr. Brenn by my favorite dentist Dr. Macias. During the consultation, Dr. Brenn told me it would take approximately two years, and he definitely stuck with his plan. A year into my braces, I had to move back to San Francisco due to a job change, but I decided to stick with Dr. Brenn because I was really happy with the way he was treating my teeth. I ended up having to return to LA every other month for my orthodontic appointment, and Dr. Brenn was extremely flexible. During the holidays this past year, I happened to be in LA, and I had a problem with my braces. Even though the office was closed for patients during this time, Dr. Brenn actually came in on his day off to see me, and I really appreciated that. Dr. Brenn is someone who really cares about his patients. At every appointment when he evaluates my teeth, I can tell he is a perfectionist and will stop at nothing short of creating a perfect smile for me. It has been a month since my braces came off, and I can't begin to describe how much of a difference it made. I get compliments all the time, and I've been told that I smile a lot more often now. I definitely feel more confident and I'm generally a much happier person, all because of my perfect smile! I normally don't write reviews, but I genuinely recommend Dr. Brenn and his office to anyone thinking about getting braces. His staff is GREAT - I loved being greeted by my name every time I walk through that door, and they've helped me figure out financial issues when I had problems with my insurance. The office definitely feels like a family, and it's overall a great environment. If anyone is thinking about getting braces with Dr. Brenn, I'd say go for it. Honestly, Dr. Brenn is a nice guy, and a few of his staff members are friendly. However, his office manager is super rude and incompetent. I had gone to another orthodontist in Burbank as a child and came to Dr. Brenn because he was covered under my insurance. However, the caliber of Brenn's work pales in comparison to the other orthodontist. I called in advance to get my X-ray, paperwork, and my study models of my teeth before my surgical assessment. My dad picked them up for me on the following day, and I called on the way to the surgeon to tell them that they forgot to give me my models and could pick them up. They told me that he didn't need them, and I would be fine. I went to Kaiser and paid my copayment only to find out that the doctor only really needed the models and was really upset with me because I didn't come prepared. I spoke with Dr. Brenn's office manager and she told me that Dr. Brenn's office was locked, and they had no access to the office. I don't know why they couldn't have told me earlier. Anyway, needless to say, the surgeon and his staff were pretty irked with me since I wasted their time. I paid my copayment and Kaiser parking for nothing, but Brenn's office manager said that they would drop it off the next day to make up for it. A few weeks had passed, and I called my surgeon to see why we hadn't set up my surgery date yet, only to find out that my models were never dropped off. I called Dr. Brenn's office and they suggested that I could pick them up and drop them off to the surgeon. I was beyond furious. The office manager came on the phone and was really rude and insinuated that they could take them down there as a favor to me (which I get is a nice gesture), but there was no apology or acceptance of responsibility, or neglect in this case, on their part. At the end of the whole ordeal, I was still not satisfied with the results, and like another yelp review had mentioned, I had to wear them for longer than the projected time period. The weekend my braces came off, I lost my retainers at the beach, which was totally my fault. However, when they remade my retainers, I quickly brought it to their attention that they were not the same as my originals, and they dismissed me and said that the retainers would correct my teeth over time. I don't know if that is even possible. (Dr. Brenn said we could look into wire retainers if I was still unhappy.) But then I was called later because the girl who told me how much they cost was wrong, and I guess only charged me for one retainer instead of a set, but they offered to take $10 off. Again the office manager was really rude in how she handled the situation and couldn't accept responsibility for the mistake on their part. Overall, Dr. Brenn is a nice man, but I felt like I was the one who kept having to bring flaws to his staff's attention, and instead of relying on impressions or x-rays, they relied on my assessment as a guideline for what they would adjust or work on next. My teeth were decent, but I ended up going to another orthodontist who did a world of difference on my teeth. I definitely would not recommend this office and their staff based on my own experiences. read more

As an adult, getting full braces was a daunting concept. I was uncomfortable with the idea from the beginning. But the amazingly friendly and helpful staff at Dr. Brenn's office made it such a positive experience. Dr. Brenn is kind and professional. Explaining each step of the way the process and related treatment. The office staff and assistants are.phenomenal as well. They were always helpful with accommodating my appointments around a crazy work schedule... Always called me by me when I walked in....and even remembered about my job change and my kids, even with a full patient list and months between appointments! You know it's not going to be a good phone call when the person who picks up barely speaks English :| After a minute or two of trying to explain my problem, she puts me on the phone with somebody who speaks fluent English. After explaining that my bonded retainer needed a repair because some glue popped off, she told me it would be around $150.
