It's going on 12 years since I posted a review here, but after visiting Smiles On Olive again yesterday, it occurred to me as I was driving home how lucky I was to find them all those years ago. I mean, honestly, I'm an incredible man-baby. I used to be nervous just driving past a dentist office. But now, well, the fact that I'm still going there is HUGE testament to their practice. It's crazy to say, but now when I go there I feel like I'm walking into a friend's house. I know that may sound cheesy, but it's true. I keep waiting for someone to break out a six-pack and put the game on. Consider their starting lineup: Dr. Eliza, Jescik, Jarmen, Javier and Martha. They're all so warm and kind, of course. But what's really important it that they all know their roles and work so well together. Maybe Dr. Eliza should do a Ted Talk to teach other business leaders how to properly put together a team, because I'd take her starting five any day over, say, the 2000 Lakers even. (Okay, maybe none of the Smiles team can dunk, but that's here nor there.) Anyway, as I probably did back in 2013, maybe I'm laying it on a little thick, but whatever. This is not a paid endorsement. Myself and my teenage daughter both come to this dental office and we LOVE our visits. The staff is always on time, welcoming, and work with answering all our questions. My daughter is almost done with her braces here and they have helped tremendously influence our dental hygiene practices from when we first came 2 years ago. My family and I have been going to Smiles on Olive for dentistry for the past 5 years and 15 years before that where the doctor practiced in Encino! I would go anywhere Dr. Eliza goes because I trust her so much and she is so gentle and caring with any procedure! The staff from front office to back office make you feel so comfortable and they treat you like family! My son is extremely picky when it comes to dentists. We have tried many different facilities but nothing has stuck. All of that changed once we found Dr. Eliza!! From the moment we walked in, the staff was all smiles and very friendly! They have also been very accommodating with my crazy schedule. The entire staff from the front desk to the hygienist are incredibly professional and do an amazing job with the cleanings. Dr. Eliza is wonderful as well; had to remove some staining because we just removed his braces and she did an amazing job. We also had to order a sports mouth guard through them and it fits like a glove so far. No complaints at all!!! My son finally loves going to the dentist!!! read more

Its odd to look forward to your next dentist appointments but i do! Walking in it's apparent that their entire goal was to make sure that my experience was completely perfect. And with the inexorably kind Jarmen helming the front office, your guaranteed the perfect start to the experience. There are two rooms - personally i prefer the one with the frosted glass, both with tv, cable etc and always soft jazzy tunes wafting about. First of all the office is absolutely beautiful and it felt so warm and comforting. Since I had called in last minute and explained my situation of how much pain I was in pain, as soon as I walked in I was taken care of. Dr. Eliza has been my doctor since I was a baby. Her hands are light as a feather. On March 29, 2016. I found out that my cavity has led into a root canal . I was so afraid it was going to be painful. Dr. Eliza was phenomenal . I didn't feel any pain. She even removed my 3 nerves and I didn't even feel a thing. I didn't even had pain afterwards. It was a piece of cake. All you guys that are afraid and think it's painful. Trust me it's not. She's a specialist . Also, besides the doctor her staff are kind, welcoming, and very helpful. Very sketchy business practices. They are so friendly but I should've been more cautious after my first visit when they said I had 4 cavities (only ever had one cavity when I was in high school). Then every time my husband or I had an appointment they would always try to reschedule last minute which was very frustrating. One time they even had my appointment written down for the wrong day but I had the appointment card with me to prove otherwise. These things don't seem all that bad but if you add them all together it started to get frustrating. It gets worse. We would constantly get paperwork form our insurance with all these procedures they were doing but we never had these things done! And we were never billed by the dentist. I asked about it and they always blew of off but I realized after talking to my friend who works in the dental field, they were just trying to get all the money possible from insurance so then end of year we had to money left when we needed it. What really blows my mind is on my last visit they said I had another cavity. Well because they had used all my money I didn't want to get it drilled until the new year when my insurance would reset. I was so annoyed that I went to a different dentist in the new year. And guess what? No cavities. Smiles on olive was just trying to take my money and now I'm thinking i had my teeth drilled for no reason. So unethical and unprofessional. read more

Dr. Eliza is the best dentist I've been too. Every member of the staff was informative, polite, and patient to help. Their technology is current and super advanced compared to other offices. This was my first dental experience where I felt calm. I had a crown done yesterday and today I don't feel any soreness. Office is super cozy, everyone on her team was very professional. Smiles on Olive takes really good care of me. I appreciate that a lot. The doc and the staff are really nice, caring, skilled and passionate. One if the things I like is that they don't wait for me to ask and provide answers in anticipation of a question. Their passion shows through in many ways. For example: The hygienist put me on notice for having stained teeth. She said "stained teeth make it easier for particles to adhere to the surface of teeth" (paraphrasing) so I need to take better care of that. We talked about what could be causing the staining and how to resolve it with ease and on subsequent check-ups I got her approval. Really great place! read more

Brought my son in who suffered a facial Trauma and broke his two front teeth. It was a Saturday they were closing but they waited for me to arrive to check him out and they were so caring. I was unable to afford their services but they were absolutely kind and provided great services. They even offered to break the payment up for me. Dr. Eliza is the best! She made me get over the fear and anxiety I would face at the thought of needles and the dentist in general. I'm not sure if this is because of her experience as a dentist or if her hands are simply made of magic but I felt absolutely no pain or discomfort when she was administering the anesthetic shots. I've gotten 8 cavities fixed by her and I'm currently getting my Invisalign treatments by her as well. She is professional, informative and she is the farthest thing from pushy. Horrible.. probably the worst dental experience I've had in my life. Was charged almost 50,000 for 3 family members and they never finished the jobs they had started.
