Review Title: Dangerous Defective Product, Overcharged, Zero Accountability, Avoid at All Costs I am extremely disappointed with Petco and will never purchase from them again. I purchased what was advertised as an insulated outdoor cat house for an outdoor cat. Not only was I overcharged by $45, but the product I received was completely defective and unsafe. The structure had sharp, jagged edges, and I severely injured my hands while handling it. This is a serious safety hazard for both animals and people. My cat will not go inside it at all, which tells me everything I need to know about how unsafe and poorly constructed it is. An insulated outdoor shelter should provide protection and security, not danger. I immediately contacted Petco and provided all required documentation, including purchase date, delivery date, and clear proof of the defect. I also contacted corporate three separate times. Each time I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did. Instead of taking responsibility, Petco told me to contact the manufacturer. That is unacceptable. I did not purchase this item from the manufacturer. Petco took my money, Petco sold the product, and Petco delivered it. Responsibility does not get passed off when a product is defective and dangerous. Petco claims to care about animal welfare, yet they sell unsafe products, overcharge customers, and then ignore serious safety complaints. This demonstrates a complete disregard for animals and for the people who care for them. I am posting this publicly so other customers are warned. If you value your pets and your safety, do not buy from Petco. If you want a company with outstanding customer service and accountability, buy from Chewy instead. My pet just disappeared on me again. Where did my Petgo? This is the Petco on Wirt Road, and it's a little smaller and right next to a Kroger, and it's useful because it's right on the way home from the gym for me, so I come here now and again and will continue to do so, usually when there's a pet emergency because for regular pet stuff, Walmart or HEB or even some local stores are much cheaper than Petco and Petsmart. In any case. It works out well and I'll probably come here in future as well, although it's a little expensive. And by a little I mean a lot. They were wonderful for a return we had to do today so I'm increasing it. read more

Third time I take my moms dog to bath him , this time I was disappointed because the bathtubs ( at least 2 ) had to be cleaned while I was waiting , shampoo and conditioner were too diluted , thankfully another costumer offered me to use hers , towels need to be bigger and they look old ( kind of dirty looking ) the floor had so much water and plastic mats were not in place , tried to enjoy the time with my moms dog regardless of the trouble getting the supplies while walking very carefully on the wet floor read more

I went for the grand opening weekend and it was.......not crazy. Of course I went the second day of the grand opening weekend which was on a sunday at around 11:00am so..thank goodness. The people are friendly, they say hi and smile and what-nots which was great but the best part were the grand opening coupons!!! I used 3 coupons total. $20 purchase = 7lbs of natural dog food for free. SCORE!!! TEAM BLUE BUFFALO. 20% off your entire purchase and a free 1lb bag of treats from their bulk selection. The store is new, clean, brightly lit, and colorful. They also have a self-serve "dog wash" where you pay $10 and they provide the shampoo. conditioner, towel, EVERYTHING!!! This is so much closer to my home, it's friendlier, I believe they only stock or mainly stock limited ingredients, grain-free, organic, etc etc. You can check the website for a list of the brand they carry. Unleashed is a new concept by parent company Petco. It's basically a smaller pet supply store but in the back is the main attraction: self serve dog wash. Take your pup of any size and you're provided with clean tubs and all the essentials, even a blow dryer. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. They even helped me pick out a supplement to fatten up my skinny German shepherd. My one complaint was that 3 tubs can make for a long wait. read more

This location does such a great job of always making me (and my dog) feel like welcomed customers. I usually pop in at least twice a month to load up on snacks. If my dog goes with me, she always gets showered with attention and offered treats. I've never used their wash facility, but it looks well maintained. The prices for certain things may not be the best, but I'm willing to overlook that for the service. You can probably find better priced toys at Marshall's/Home Goods. Mainly I go for the treat selections. My only complaint, which really isn't even their fault, is sometimes my dog's favorite treats go out of stalk for a few weeks. I think that's more of a supplier issue though. I believe that they recently paired up with a rescue to host an adoption event to rehome some lovable pitties. That brought a smile to my face. Love knowing people are trying to destigmatize pit bulls. I've yet to try out any of their training classes. It seems like the instructors do a good job of connecting with the patrons and their dogs, at least from over hearing a few sessions. I think when I have enough money set aside I'd like to put my dog through a course to work on some of her commands. Great job, Unleashed team! read more

EXTREMELY NICE AND FRIENDLY STAFF will greet you at the door!!! This store isn't exactly like a traditional Petco as it carries more unique items for pets. For example, they carry plenty of super fancy looking dog treats (I honestly thought that I could have one, haha ...), high quality pet food and other pet accessories. Amazingly speaking, they even have a self-serve dog wash area!!! I sort of wonder if I could bring my kitty over there for a bath. From time to time, this store offers pet food samples/coupons. The staff seems to know what they are doing very well. If you have any concerns with your animals, please ask away! Don't forget to use your Petco card for more discounts and savings. I was carrying my 12-week old border collie and the girl escorted me to the Blue Buffalo, and then carried it for me! Awesome place. Highly recommended. We drive 42 minutes to visit this Petco and have been twice this week to wash our dogs at the Self Serve Dog Wash Station. It's totally worth it. The tubs are always spotless and have everything you need! The staff is usually very sweet, helpful, and make great treat recommendations. This time a young employee was pretty rude when I asked to return a dog tag that had fallen out of the packaging before it could be engraved. (It has to be in the package to be engraved) She seemed annoyed that I had interrupted her asking another employee about her hair and made a big show of explaining how difficult the return process would be, and insisted the original tag could just be popped back in the packaging and still be engraved correctly. I let her know that I wasn't happy with that alternative and she did eventually make the return for me. Hopefully it was a one off situation, as our experiences at this location are usually very fun and enjoyable. read more

This place rocks! It is the last day of their grand opening and you can wash your dog today for just 5 bucks (reg $10)! They have nice stainless steel tubs to wash your pooch in. They give you a basket of supplies which includes shampoo and conditioner, brush and comb, and a towel. They have scrubbers and leads to tie your dog off so they stay put while washing them. There is a VERY powerful dryer as well...think Excalibur hand dryer but for your dog...water literally flys off! The rub has a removable door so when your done you just slide it and they can step out. Unleashed is about a third of the size of a normal Petco store and it is filled to the brim with excellent choices of dog and cat food and supplies. I will be back! The only issue I had was that there was only one girl working and it is a grand opening. Poor girl.... They need at least two employees there today. read more

As soon as I signed for my new furry family member Pillow, we walked into Unleashed to meet one of the most dedicated, understanding & honest person I've ever met. Carrie if you're reading this thank you for all your kind help!!! She linked all of Pillow's info to our existing Petco account & walked us through all the best deals & even helped us with a coupon book. At the end of all our shopping Carrie helped save us over $50 while providing excellent tips & honest reviews on essential products. She even introduced us to the stores dog trainer & showed us plenty of clinics & vets that would be of great assistance. My experience at this location definitely deserves 5 stars. read more

Just washed my dog here and since she's a shorthaired dog it was really simple and they had everything I needed! Also got her a frozen treat and replaceable bees for her hide a B toy! They also have a great natural selection of treats and food. read more

My 4.5 year old and I took our pug to wash him on Sunday and had a much better customer service experience this time. The women helping us start the bath was very nice and friendly. We gave puggy a great bath and even picked up some gluten free treats for him. They were even understanding and helpful when said pug knocked over a display! I was in town visiting my parents when they mentioned a new pet store opened near them. Seeing as my dog is my baby, I had to take her in. The store is still relativity new so we were given a quick tour of the store and given some great advice about the little "snack bar" area they have. My dog loves them, heck, they look so good, a human would mistake them for real treats! The store is medium sized, think of it as pets mart/petco meets boutique. It's great for those of us who love to spoil our pets. Great selection of food, treats and doggie clothes. Leashes, collars and clothes were better quality than the typical stuff you'll find in petco or pet smart. I don't live near, but I'd go back if I did! read more

I came to this location to use the washing facility. They were helpful but they're shampoo/conditioner was so water down it was useless to use. My dogs smelled the same on the way in as on the way out and I had to pay $20 for two dog baths. For nothing since I'll have to repeat at home. What a waste of money and time. I told them about the issue and they said they have shampoos for sale there. Not the point. I have them at home I came there because everything should be available for you to use. If you go there bring all the stuff you need to use. read more

So easy! You walk in and they give you a basket of shampoo, brush, towel and other essentials. Dog hops up in the bath and is leashed to the railing for safety. Scrub him down, rinse, blow dry and you're done! Friendly knowledgeable staff. So much better than the bath tub in the house or back patio. Great dog treats too! Came here today and it was a 36 minute drive bc where i live theres no pet unleashed... i got here and had to wait about 20 minutes bc there was a lot of people here washing there dogs. Well the people who work here are extremely helpful and nice and give you everything you need and just awesome and i love that. The only thing is , is that its a really cramped space and one dryer. Bad thing is theres hair literally everywhere on the floors walls matts tables and flying in the air while im washing my dogs it was raining hair.. i understand there still expanding and stuff but the hair everywhere was rediculous and gross. I really wish they would provide better towels bc there not much bigger then hand towels and there extremely spiky feeling which i was telling myself why! Like why would i use this on my dog and its tiny. But anywho they work really hard and face paced which is great i love that. Kinda rare these days having great employees that work hard and more but one more concern i had which really upset me but i didnt say anything was the other customers there were very snotty to me. I had my blue pit with me and hes very nice hes my profile pic lol.. loterally very nice dog and i can control him very well but this couple were walking up to the check out and im at check out and my pit and my two other dogs start barking at them and my pit was growling. I had total control of them but the people stood there and make nasty mean faces at me and my pit like i was a disgrace. The guy behind the counter was telling them hes open and they wouldnt even go near me to go to register. They literally went around going through the aisles. It made me feel like im a horrible person or something. I could see the hatred in there face towards pitbulls and they look at me like im some bad person criminal or something. It just made me feel like crap. Well its a nice place beside the customers. I wont come back here again i cant deal with that crap. We tried the self serve dog wash. The stainless steel baths are sanitary and clean but make a loud noise when the gate is closed which scared our dog badly. Additionally the floor of the bath has a grate that moved when she stepped in the wrong place and that scared her as well. We will go back but if you have a big scared dog just be aware. read more
