After having our previous petsitter hike their rates up beyond what we could comfortably pay, we reached out to Jessica for help and she was nothing short of amazing. She was able to handle our often unfriendly chihuahua without problem and we could tell she really cared for our animals. As a veterinarian, I have pretty high standards for animal care. Our pets are family and we are always nervous trusting a new person to take care of them when we can't be there. Jessica isn't the type of person to send a text or email each time she visits, but was happy to give updates when asked and responded promptly to messages. When we got back home, I found a stack of progress notes with sweet tidbits about the pets for each visit. We are so happy we found her and would recommend her 100%!

In the past, we used a local kennel, and each time we did, Angel was a nervous wreck when we picked her up. She was just miserable! This time we didn't want to do that to her, so the hunt was on for an alternative. Thanks to social media, I was already familiar with Jessica, the owner of Wags and Whiskers, due to me following her company on twitter quite some time ago. I have read her tweets, and read her great blog, and even purchased a toy she recommended for Angel that ended up being one of Angel's favorites! So, I decided to contact her and see if she was up for the task. I emailed her what I needed done, and she replied almost immediately with the answers to my questions! This was a great sign! Jessica requested that she come over and meet Angel to be sure Angel was comfortable with her, so we set a date a time. Jessica arrived promptly with a staff member and I could tell immediately she was passionate about her job. Angel and her got along great! We chatted about the details of when to feed etc, and I just knew Angel would be in good hands. When we returned from our trip, we were greeted by a happy dog! No nervousness or sickness like when she was at the kennels! On the counter we found notes that shared the things Jessica and Angel did during her visits...this was great!!! It was nice to know that Angel had a buddy while we were gone! If you are looking for someone who will come to your home while you are gone, and take care of your pets, I wholeheartedly recommend Wags and Whiskers for the job!!

Update on Brad Pittie! He had a rough night last night. He…read moredecided to eat one of Sasha's & Lexi's old cloth toy. Yep, went down like spaghetti!. We had to take him into Cypress Fairhaven Animal Hospital. They are not only my personal Vet Clinic but also the Clinic for the Rescue I'm with; Big Love Rescue out of Cypress TX. I couldn't be more impressed with our Little Man, Mr Brad Pittie! He took everything in stride, kissed everyone taking care of him & didn't skip a beat when we got home. A testament to Big Love Rescue which is a Non-Profit wanting the best for all dogs taken by them. Plus surprised me with a trainer! As As you all know I can't do much. I needed help getting him from car into the Vets & back to the car. Well check out this Video! Brad Pittie is a fast learner. His desire to please is enormous. It's a Pittie trait but his heart is one of the biggest I've encountered. The Trainer is Dawn Currie she owns K-9 Family Dog Training here in Cypress, Texas. Bernard & Annie De Lisi you 2 can contest to how hard he would pull on the leash. Look what he does in 15 minutes with Dawn. I couldn't believe what she accomplished with my dog on the first day, let alone after 4 days of training. Dexter, a rescue dog, who was taken from his momma at 5 weeks (currently 4 months old), needed to learn bite inhibition, and he had anxiety issues. He is a different dog; more calm, relaxed and so pleasant! He went from biting and barking and jumping (mostly what puppies do anyway, but the biting was getting more aggressive and a huge concern for me) to doing none of those. In 4 days, the majority of basic obedience has been taught. I can put him in the down position, drop a treat, say leave it, and he won't touch it until I say! I have always wanted a well-behaved dog, and because of her work, I have that!! And it will only continue, as Dexter will get to work with her once a week! I highly recommend Dawn - 2 HUGE thumbs up. You will not be disappointed.

I'm sad to post a bad review.:( we have been boarding our dog here for over 3 years and it has…read morereally gone down hill. I used to recommend Urban Mutt and now I will not bring my boy back. I'm not sure if management changed or what? The facility used to have longer hours (6:30am-6:30pm) and gradually the hours have shifted (7:30am-5pm) which isn't as convenient when you're traveling. This also makes a longer night alone for my pup:( this last visit he came home so thirsty, very stinky and exhausted. He slept for 2 straight days. Urban mutt used to post videos every day and there was not 1 post over the 4 days he was boarding. They also seemed short staffed. For these many reasons, I will be taking our dog to a new facility.

No luck! We agreed to foster and she completed a basic screening and offered assistance with vaccinations and arrangement to have the dog neutered. We will foster the dog until a suitable family is found. Her communication has been great and we sincerely appreciate her help for these animals that are left on the streets.

I will say she got attached to me pretty quickly. She was terrified of a lot of things and people especially kids. But the next day she started to growl at my granddaughter when she was loud or even when she was running around. And she also snapped at my daughter if she got to close to me. If I didn't have 4 grandchildren that come over a lot. I would have worked with her. I ended up giving her back. I gave them all the information what happened and I got yelled at and said I didn't give her a chance and every rescue dog is like this. Now I have rescues, my daughter has a rescue and my mom has 2. Not all are like that. So obviously I know not every rescue dog is like this. I tried to explain that I can not do any fear aggressive dog bc of my grandkids. I will not take that chance. As a professional she should have understood that she was not the right fit and needs to go to a home with no young kids and nothing really loud. I was already sad that she wasn't going to work out and felt guilty. By yelling at me, she made feel worse about this and put me in tears. I just wish she understood I couldn't take this chance around my grandchildren. And by my 30 something years of experience I don't think she would have gotten over her fear with people. She would hide behind me and growl and at one point snap. She just really needs to be worked with and socialized with people. I am writing this review just because I got yelled for returning the pup the next day. No rescue should ever do this. Even when you disagree.

We've now visited three times. Once for labs, once for neuter, and again for a checkup after heartworm injections. Each time our foster was met with love and treated with care. With each visit I think the staff became more comfortable with him and our care for him, so our last was our best. They seem to offer services beyond veterinary care, training for example, and the property is beautiful. I'm sure I'll continue to bring fosters their way and at this pace, I can see our family bringing our own pup!

Wow! I feel the need to update my review after Hurrican Beryl. I happened to be out of town during…read morethe storm, luckily. Exceptional care of pets as always. When I was one of the lucky ones that went several days without power, Crystal jumped in with extra visits, no problem. GUYS...She even cleaned out my fridge and freezer of spoiled food! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Voluntarily, she got rid of perishables that were going to be a problem. Good thing, I didn't get power back for another 5 days! What a mess I would've had. She also improvised extra water for the cats through the outage and made everything work for the well being of everyone (physical for cats and mentally for me!). I am lucky to have found Crystal when I moved to Houston 4 years ago, would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

This is my experience with Crystal's Cozy pets…read more My family and I have used Crystal's Cozy Pets for the last two years. We have had various animals that they have watched through out the years but most recently we have a 7 year old German Shepherd and a 7 month old Lab plus a kitten and two cats. Our sitter has been Hailey. In the beginning, everything was great! We would leave on a 10 day road trip and Hailey would come 4 times a day to take of the animals and we would get updates on the animals plus pictures. After some time, we started getting complaints about our dog Leo, the German Shepherd. That he was jumping on Hailey and causing scratches on her back. After that trip, I asked the owner, Crystal, if they could can still handle Leo and the verified "yes" that he was no problem. As time went on, we got Oso, a lab puppy. We just left on another 10 day road trip and received nothing but complaints and nagging about Oso almost every time Hailey went to our home. She complained so much about him, my husband and I stop replying to her messages. She accused my Oso of nipping and bitting her, which he has never done with me or my kids. I have video footage of her yelling at him and being aggressive towards him because once again, I have a 7 month puppy that will jump on her. Which 7 month old puppies will do! Hailey literally complained about almost everything about Oso. Aren't you a dog sitter? You are supposed to love animals but we definitely do not feel the love for our animals at all during this trip. Hailey is not qualified or has the the patience to deal with puppies or big dogs. 7 days into our trip, we are literally thousands of miles away and Crystal, the owner, calls us to say they no longer can take care of Oso and we need to come home! Or find another arrangement of care for him while we are still on the other side of the country! Are you kidding me?!? Thankfully, we found a lovely young man that was able to do it and he has been wonderful and says Oso is a wonderful puppy and has no issues with him! WOW! What a difference! Thankfully, since our family trip was intentionally ruined with Hailey and her complaints, we finally got to relax our last two days with the help with our new dog sitter, Junior! Honestly, we were not going to book with Crystal's Cozy Pets this trip, but wanted to give them another try. Boy, I should have listened to my gut. When you on vacation, you should be confident that you leave your pets in the hands of someone that will love and take care of them like you would and in all honesty, I don't feel like CCP's can do that.
