I picked him up and my dog is exhibiting fear based behaviors that include flinching, cowering and whining. I don't know what happened to him while under your care, I called to talk to someone on your staff, it was a male, hispanic. He didn't offer his title. He said he spoke to the staff but nothing out of the ordinary occurred that anyone could recall. I just now bent down to put on his leash and he flinched when I got near him. It breaks my heart that he's now acting this way. He is 11 years old and has never behaved this way. I just took him to the vet to get him examined and try to find out why he is acting this way. This dog never whines or is vocal. Please supervise your employees closely and make sure they are treating all of our animals with proper care. I don't have any proof that anything happened to my dog aside from his behavior after leaving the facility. I'm just stating my experience with my dog and your facility.

By seven months old, Ziggy had the run of the house and my husband and I were exhausted. We tried e-collar training (don't go to that place if they come up in your research) with zero results, which left me even more frustrated than before. No kidding, I was walking five miles a day, doing the dog park and STILL had the most hyper dog ever. Enter Houston DogWorks. Josh, Kennedy and the whole team really focus on education not just control. There is a process and if you do your work with your dog, it is REMARKABLE. They also explain the WHY behind things, which I love. I feel like I now have an actual relationship with Ziggy, and my husband and I aren't going on 50 walks a day. Ziggy understands expectations and I'm finally comfortable taking him places. He makes real eye contact while waiting for commands and isn't just begging for treats. We loved the learning process so much and have stuck with it. I wish I could give a million stars. Seriously. The team at Houston DogWorks will change the way you think about dog training. The way they train (you and your dog) is set up in a way that is absolutely best for your dog to live the most fulfilled life. Fun fact. What your dog needs is time with you that stimulates their brain and makes them think. I'm not talking about puzzle toys. I'm taking about training together WITH your dog. Not just a long boring walk.

This time, they reported a total of $120... UGH WHAT! I asked if the prices were yet again increased, and they told me the groomer tacked on a fee for "difficulty". Everyone my dog encounters is like "omg he's so calm", "he's so lazy", "I wish my dog behaved like Archie". This report of his behavior was totally surprising. Also, they never called me to tell me he was ready- I had to call after 7 hours to find he had just been sitting there ready. Hair cuts have been hit or miss. Let me preface this by saying that my husband and I have really admired the job that Puppy Chic…read moredoes as far as grooming. Our dogs don't seem to mind going there, and they always look super clean and cute when finished. Hence the three stars - four for grooming services and price, two for.... ...the customer service that needs some work. When we first started taking our pups there, about a year ago, we had no problem dropping them off before work and picking them up at lunch. Not sure when this changed, but now their drop-off hours are between 8:30 and 10am. Ok, well most of America has to be at work by 8am so that makes no sense. The last time we went there the owner advised she would be there early and that we could drop off before 8 - great! I showed up at 7:45 and nobody was there. Waited til 8:15...still nobody. I took my dogs back home and went to work (late). I called to ask what happened...just got that there was a miscommunication and we weren't on the list after all (???). Was told they could squeeze them in on Saturday morning as a courtesy. Ok, fine. My husband dropped them off Saturday morning and they got groomed. They don't post their hours anywhere, and I feel like it's because they don't have official hours, they just work when they feel like working and close up shop when they don't (as you can see in other reviews as well). Not cool. So today I called and they don't have any availability, plus the dropoff time is stillll 8:30 (seriously, why so late?). I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to be a Puppy Chic customer, but they make it so difficult. I give up. Made an appointment at Yuppie Dog no problem. Puppy Chic undercuts (no pun intended) them on price but I'm willing to pay a bit more to go to a reliable establishment.

I have been to a few groomers and have never paid more than $50... the money is not the issue, it is the quality of service! I paid these people $64 ( well scratch that, they took $5 off after i complained because I was a new customer ) They are professional, I give them that......BUT my dog didn't smell like anything when I picked her up. Her anus and vulva has been red, irritated, and swollen since I picked her up 3 days ago ( doesn't seem to be getting better, it's gotten more red and now I have to go and purchase cream because she won't stop scratching and licking and she isn't acting like her hyper self) For the amount of money we pay for these services they should be top-notch.... not half assed... also, they left hair on my dogs chest and belly.. and cut hair that I told them not to.. The only reason I went here was because my original groomer was booked for a week and a half but I promise, next time I will be patient... just because you are in the heights does NOT mean you hike up your prices and give half assed cuts... If you guys want an amazing groomer that will provide quality and more please contact me through messages, I will be happy to provide you with that info...

We needed boarding on short notice, and they were able to accommodate us once our dog's vaccination records were confirmed, which we appreciated. During his stay, there were no cameras available for owners to check in on their pets, but we did receive a report card update. Unfortunately, about three days after bringing our dog home, he developed a severe cough. We took him to our veterinarian, who diagnosed him with kennel cough. As a result, our dog is now on medication for the next three weeks and must be kept away from other pets while he recovers. We understand that kennel cough can be highly contagious and can occur even in facilities that require vaccinations. However, it was disappointing and costly to deal with immediately after boarding. While we appreciated the friendly staff and accommodations, this experience leaves us with mixed feelings about boarding here again.
