My dog loves Molly's. The people there know every single dog and when we show up, they always say "hi Daisy!" (They speak to her not me!) She loves it. When she sees her leash and we head to the car she starts jumping up and down over a foot off the ground she's so excited! She loves day care and has a best friend there. She is so well taken care of and we've started adding agility training a couple days a week. She's very skittish still around people from her life pre rescue, but she adores everyone at Molly's! She goes every day and if we don't take her, she is not happy with us! We really love it. It's been so good for her confidence and exposure to more people. More like Molly's Butt House! They do you in the butt with their prices, and additionally; the quality is not consistent. They went up $10 in price to $110 last time my dog was shaved. This time, they reported a total of $120... UGH WHAT! I asked if the prices were yet again increased, and they told me the groomer tacked on a fee for "difficulty". Everyone my dog encounters is like "omg he's so calm", "he's so lazy", "I wish my dog behaved like Archie". This report of his behavior was totally surprising. Also, they never called me to tell me he was ready- I had to call after 7 hours to find he had just been sitting there ready. Hair cuts have been hit or miss. Go somewhere else- you don't know what you're going to get in quality or financially each time! read more

One of our dogs attends fitness day camp, and Jae and Kimberly have done an amazing job of helping her become more confident. I send my pup here weekly for day care and board when I'm on vacation. They're always attentive, everyone who walks through the front recognizes her by name as soon as we arrive. Have a few friends who bring their dogs also and everyone has had a great experience. There are other facilities on Shepherd, but this one closes at 7p which is great for my schedule. We love Molly's mutt house . They are always very attentive to our big doggies when we are away. I always call and check on them and they give me all the deets . I was especially impressed the other dog when they allowed me to drop my dogs off early since I had to go work at the hospital for 12 hours . Amaya made the arrangements and she was so nice and helpful throughout the whole process . She even gave me her information just in case no one was at the door . If I had a dog, I would take him/her here for sure! My brother left his beloved Chi-Chi here while on vacation. He had anxiety about leaving her so I stopped by twice while he was gone to "check" on her and send him a picture. The staff was super friendly and so very understanding of the thing I call crazy (my brother). Chi Chi seemed happy enough and they let me go back and visit with her each time and the young guy even told me about her day :) One time I stopped by and the guy actually was playing with her :) Everyone there from the front to the back were super nice. All the dogs seemed to be happy. They did have a couple dogs roaming in the back but they were more bark than bite. And everytime I came, there was cleaning going on. They also can take them to the park which I thought was cool. Overall, this seems to be a nice spot for dog sitting. read more

I love this place. Staff is always super helpful and pleasant. When I pick up Stu- my hyper Boston Terrier - from boarding, he comes back happy and his skin looks great. This tells me that they walk him and play with him and that his area is kept clean. He is a very allergic dog and is sensitive to everything. Their location is great for me too. Pricing is a little high but I trust them with my dog and am willing to pay for him to be well taken care of (and for my piece of mind). read more

If you're looking for a sign to not go here, this is it. My dog had a grooming appointment here, and I am so glad that we left before any services could be performed on either of my pets. Instead of taking my dog back immediately and making me wait to speak to the groomer alone, they had me wait in the lobby 10-15 minutes with my dog while numerous other clients came in. Additionally there were dogs shrieking (not just barking) all throughout the background making my dog more nervous by the minute. By the time the grooming staff came out he was barking but still wagging his tail and accepting treats. The grooming staff listened to him bark for about 30 seconds before telling me my dog is "too aggressive" to be groomed there. This is the same dog who attends doggy daycare 2x a week, has been groomed at other places, and I would genuinely let any baby approach him and not be nervous. Although they tried to play the whole "this is in the best interest of the dog" card, using the word aggressive multiple times to a new clients face is truly crossing the line. We would have left and came back respectfully on a day he was not as barky but not after completely misjudging a dog after a few minutes. I took both my dogs and will never be returning. Additionally, several of our friends had appointments over the next few weeks and have all cancelled after hearing about our experience. At the very least, the staff could be more professional and respectful. P.S. if you're looking for a doggy daycare, my car is bigger than their playroom so truthfully reconsider read more

Took our French Bulldog here while visiting family. They got us in right away and had his bath finished shortly after. We paid extra to have a de-shedding treatment that they offered which didn't really do anything. He was shedding like crazy right after and days after so I'm not sure if that is a real thing or just something they put out there to get more money. read more

Previously I gave Molly's a 5 star rating. My dog always came home super handsome, the complimentary bandanas were cute and they were great about all the specific requirements we had. Recently I noticed that they went from excellent, friendly customer service (shout out to Laquita) to an automated phone system, which is fine. However making an appointment now requires one to download an app in order to schedule. Annoying. Not only that now you also have to take that extra step and pay a deposit everytime. I chose this place due to the convenience of being located so close to home and the speedy service. There are 3 other places on the same street..... sorry to see them go. read more

I am disappointed with Molly's mutt house. I was excited in possibly getting a grooming appointment for my dog. I have driven past their location many times due to it being close to my home. After looking at their website and seeing that their prices were decent I gave them a call. The phone constantly rang with no answer before going to a voicemail. The voicemail said that if needing to make an appointment for grooming to send an email to manager@mutthouse.com. I sent an email and after 4 days of no answer on phone calls or email I gave up. I called at different times of different days and never was able to get a hold of someone. I find it hard to believe that you can run a business when you do not answer your phones or emails. read more

Queue the Sarah McLaughlin music, this place is horrible! We dropped off our 25 lb border collie on a Friday, and picked her up first thing the next Sunday. In those 64 hours, I don't know what happened, but I do know how she was received when I showed up to take her home. Her entire body and bed that we provided reeked of urine. I was told that she just went out right before I picked her up, and when we got home (eight-minute drive) she jumped out of the car through the drivers side (which she never does), and peed for an uncommonly long amount of time. The second she goes into the house, she rushes for her water bowl and drinks for almost two minutes! All the while, she's ignoring my wife, whom she loves way more than me! While I've been writing this review, my wife was bathing her. I let her out immediately after her bath, and she went to the bathroom again! It's apparent she did not enjoy her stay there. If we had received a phone call that she was covered in urine, we'd have gladly paid hundreds of dollars to have her cleaned. However, we received no phone calls about her at all. This place seems like too large of a factory-style operation to give our dog the attention she deserves. This is unsatisfactory. The lady that set up our pick-up time was extremely friendly, as she kept referring to Daisy as our "baby!" She seemed great, but that can't change the feeling that my baby was mistreated. :'( read more

I took my boston terrier here because I had a short notice emergency work trip and this was the only place that would let me board her overnight without evaluating her or making her stay there for a day first. While I appreciated that, I will not be taking her back here. When I picked her up, her whole nose/snout was bloody and I've never seen her more scared. She has been boarded several times before but for some reason this place traumatized her... I thought the staff was really nice and very receptive to all my questions, but I wasn't pleased when they told me they wouldn't be able to give me a tour of the facilities. They also weren't easy to get a hold of on the telephone. You can find a better boarder in Houston for a lower price. read more

I went to take my pupster for a hair cut because she was starting to look a little shabby. When I entered the shop I was warmly greeted and made to feel comfortable by the front desk. The groomer took her back and seemed very friendly towards my dog, so my first impression lead me to feel like these were a good bunch of people. Prices are reasonable too, as I think that this is a better deal than petsmart, I even got a 10% discount because it was my first visit! My only complaint that I feel like her cut was still a little longer than I had asked for, but she still looks really good. Definitely coming back! read more

The employees were very professional and helpful, and I could tell from the get-go that this was a place that the dogs would like. They both ran right in and didn't even look back when the man took them away. Everything here was well-organized, and I was impressed that the woman at the front desk had all of the dogs' toys, leftover food and dog beds organized in a plastic container, ready for me on the afternoon I picked the dogs up. My only criticism is that I wish the Mutt Cam showed the overnight boarding dogs from time-to-time. As it is, you can only watch your dogs online if they're there for day care. read more

Molly's is THE BEST. Period. I board my dog their regularly, and he is always eager to see his buddies there and wagging his tail when we arrive. I already liked them, but a recent experience showed me just how incredibly the people at Molly's are. I was out of town for the weekend and my dog was on previcox, a painkiller, because he was having ACL surgery the next week to repair his blown-out rear leg joint. While I was far away, he had a reaction to the previcox, and began vomiting uncontrollably and passing bloody stool in the middle of the night. The folks at Molly's took him straight to a 24 hour veterinary clinic and paid the bill to get the situation under control. They gave me frequent updates by text - I was totally beside myself, 1000 miles away, worried sick about my little buddy! - and even prepared special meals easy for him to digest while his stomach recovered. Having your dog get sick while you are away is a terrifying experience. I'm so glad he was at Molly's where he got the kind of care and attention I would be giving him if I had not been away. It's at times like this that you really see the value of a business like Molly's where the owner and the staff care deeply about the dogs in their care. I am so grateful to them for taking such good care of my boy. And we were just there for the day this week - even after that experience, he's happy and excited when we pull up in front of Molly's. NOTE: Molly's actually has a new location at Shepherd and 34th. I have been looking for a kennel for my black lab that is close to my house for quite some time. Most inner loop kennels crate, charge an arm and a leg, and don't have runs so I have been taking Bailey to a kennel close to my office and the airport. So you can imagine how pleased I was when I came across Molly's at their new location. I boarded my dog for four nights. The prices are a bit higher than what I have been paying, but the owner actually works behind the counter and I really like that. And she really likes dogs and the staff was willing to work with some of my dog's unique personality traits. You have to bring your own food and bedding, but they wash it before you pick up your pet. Molly's also sells high end dog food (Instinct and Wellness) in addition to toys and snacks. They also have a day board program and a pretty popular day care (there are dogs on a waiting list to get in day care!). I only had one concern after my dog's stay. She got home and was very, very thirsty. She went through three bowls of water in about 30 minutes. I'm not sure why that was, but it makes me believe she wasn't drinking or didn't have any water. Everything else with the stay seems to have gone well. And Bailey, my black lab, says: Four paws up for Molly's! read more

First and foremost the outcome of my fur baby's groom was immaculate. BUT, what it took to get there wasn't as smooth sailing. It all started when I dropped my youngest child off. The staff greeted me with a smile and thoroughly went through the services being provided. Then they took my child back to the grooming room. At this time I requested to talk to the groomer to explain the desired look. Since this conversation happened after they took him back. It was purely a vivid description of what I wanted to see my boy post groom. He agreed to understanding me, but unfortunately didn't really understand. When I came to pick him up he had received a light trim. His beard was still way too long! Very different from my desired look. Although he looked handsome and cleaner, I had to take him back for round two. At round 2, I had a new strategy. I explained myself to the groomer with my child present which left no room for error. After they took him back, I spent some time with owner discussing their amazing holistic food variety and care of large breeds. We will be adding a Great Dane to our family in January and she had wonderful insight for future care. I appreciated her time and professionalism. And despite the miscommunication on the groom I would recommended Mollys and will be taking my kiddo back! The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was due to the second needed visit. read more

My 2 year old puppy, Maggie seemed as though she loved it. Molly's was very accommodating. She stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday break. It was all booked and she had to stay in a crate, but didn't seemed to mind. I paid for extra walks and private playtime to get her out of the crate more, and didn't mind the extra prices because she's my baby. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the animals. As each puppy was dropped off, employees recognized the animals by name, and greeted each person. I felt comfortable dropping Maggie off for a few days. I was very nervous leaving her at a place she had never been, but she came back to me just as excited as I left her. I've read some of the other comments, and the only thing I see is that some people expect a perfect experience. Well to me, the men and women that work here were great, they took care of my baby during the holidays while I had to be out of town. I just want to say Thank You... I hear horror stories all the time about boarding facilities and I won't hesitate to use Molly's again. read more

So we have been bringing "Fergus" here for about 8 months now - over all very pleased. The problems with staff noted in reviews from last year have not been in evidence at all. Very friendly and helpful. It can get a bit frenetic at times with dogs checking in / out but the staff is consistent and us guests just need to show a modicum of patience - which most seem to do. Fergus loves coming here and is even fairly ambivalent about coming home to his big house where he basically runs the show anyway. This is a great place if you are going to board your dog regularly. The staff know us, we know them and they know our dog's quirks and behaviors. He prefers to be "free range" rather than in a suite or kennel, and the staff knows that. We wish there was a little more flexibility in drop off / pick up times but do understand that they need to run the business and scheduling people and pets daily can be a challenge. We are really protective of our little guy but have had to board him for over two weeks on one occasion and he was as happy and healthy when we picked him up as the day we dropped him off. I always feel the employees here really love dogs. The prices are a little higher than other places, but, I figure you get what you pay for. We bring our dog into daycare about once or twice a week, and he's always super-excited. We have been able to get boarding on pretty short notice, which has helped us out tremendously. We've had our dog groomed here twice and were very satisfied, especially since the last groomer we took him to just butchered his hair. The last time was a little more expensive than I'm used to, but they did a perfect job and he's stayed cool all summer long. read more

After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a try for my cockapoo's hair cut. I had high hopes, but was completed disappointed. When I made the appointment over the phone I went into detail about how I wanted his hair cut, the lady said that sounds like a puppy cut with a Teddy bear face. This somewhat sounded like what I had describe to her. When I dropped him off I again expressed that I did not want his face rounded and to not blow dry his ears straight, i like them curly. Well I did not get a rounded face, but it looked like someone took a flow bee to his head and did not use shears to cut in a way that was in any way described as good looking. They did not blow dry his ears as I had asked, but they did not cut any of the hair on his ears, so now his face looks completely uneven. He does not look like any of the pictures on their website or on any of the reviews here. I am so unhappy about this $60 haircut. IF you really care about the way your dog's haircut looks and not just someone taking clippers and butchering it up, I would not recommend anyone taking their fur baby to this place for grooming. read more

My 3 little dogs are no stranger to grooming and I have never received a bad report. I took all three to get groomed one day at Molly's, first thing in the morning. They said they would call with an update at noon to see when I could pick them up. Well, 2 o'clock rolled around and I received no word. I called and they said I could pick them up at 3. I picked up my dogs and they have never been so traumatized in their short lives. They were silent on the way home and for the next two hours. I looked at my schnauzer and she couldn't open her eyes. It looked as though she was straining to see. After another hour, 7pm, both eyes were sealed shut with yellow goo. I immediately took her to Gulf Coast and $300 later she was diagnosed with an eye irritation from soap or powder. She needed eye irrigation, ointment and a retina test. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

I have been taking my dog to Molly's for several months now. We tried another day care and my dog did not enjoy it, I would have to drag her through the door. A friend recommended Molly's Mutt House and from the very first time we went my dog runs through the door and is so excited to be there. She was a crazy puppy when we first started going and they have helped her learn proper play and manners with other dogs. The grooming is great, I have to admit my dog has short hair so it's just a bath and nail trim but they do a great job! I have boarded my dog several times and they always make sure that my dogs has what she needs. The last time I boarded her I emailed to check on her because it was the first time boarding for a full week. They promptly responded and suggested adding a park walk which really helped her relax being there for so long. We go for daily walks and I forgot they offer the park walks. It was nice for my dog to get out and about while be boarded. Another thing I love is if you want a food or something they do not keep in stock they will order it for you if they can. In fact I am going to pick up a special food order today. I agree with the other reviewers, it is not cheap at Molly's but you get what you pay for. And it has been worth every penny! read more

This place has been recommended to us by several people, and is super close to home. We were going away for one night, and wanted to check this out to see the facilities and inquire about availability for boarding. I can't say anything about the facilities, b/c they were unwilling to show us around or even peek in the door for a quick look. When we went in to ask questions, we were addressed with indifference - told to check the website for prices and they were too busy to talk with us (keep in mind that NO ONE was in the reception area except someone who was waiting on their pet) - they did tell us that we could peek through the windows from the outside if we wanted to see what it looked like. COME ON! I am severely disappointed by the customer service. We might consider going back - and maybe another, more friendly employee might be around to help us. If that's the case, then i will come back and revise my review. So far....not impressed. read more

I first want to start off by saying how much I greatly appreciated Elizabeth (I think that was her name) arriving an extra 15 minutes early on a Saturday to accept my little pup so I could make my appointment by 8:30 - that was great customer service!! BUT unfortunately we have found another puppy daycare because I did not feel like this was going to be a fit. There were a few things that were red flags for me. -They were misleading in their prices - for about 34 hours, it cost $85/$90... that is A LOT of money for 1 night of daycare! -They also marketed services that aren't actually offered - they don't in fact have puppy cams that work. I tried every server you could imagine - PC's & Apples, iphone, ipad, internet explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome... not one of them worked. When I picked her up from daycare, I mentioned this to the woman and her response was, "oh yea Molly can't even access them... it's just an old system..." Uhm.... WHAT?! Your owner can't even access the cameras but I have to pay close to $100?? I feel like a puppy cam is something that is included in pricing, and I was very disappointed. -When I picked her up from her overnight visit, the only thing they had to say was, "she did great!" There was nothing else to say, aside from "she did great!" - our new home gave us a fully filled out report card and she was only there for 7 hours!! - She also lost 4-5 teeth and they didn't mention anything to me! This would have been something to say aside from "she did great!" - When my puppy came home, she had so much energy! I know my puppy and I know she should have been exhausted - it made me think she may have spent too much time in a crate when we did cage free boarding... I'm sure they have the greatest intentions, just not fit for us. Best of luck on your business! read more
