Further, my dog is a greyhound from the racetrack and he didn't understand how to play with other dogs when I adopted him. This is such a great doggie day care! I bring my dog here at least once a week when I am working overnight shifts at the hospital. They take good care of my pup. And he looooves coming here. The staff are very good people, and I have many interactions with Randy and Bruce. I've been impressed with the cleanliness of the establishment and I never have seen the place be dirty when I pick or drop off my dog. They have separate indoor and outdoor areas. They also have pools outside if it gets unbearingly hot for the dogs. I usually buy their 5-10 day daycare package and supplement this with overnight stays if I need to. You save a few bucks with the packages which I like. A few times, my dog has come back with scratches on him from other dogs, which I would have liked to have known about at the moment, but my dog is also aggressive in playtime so I can understand. Anyway, for the price, I think it's a great place and I'll continue to come as long as the continue to take good care of my pup! read more

Started great - turned ugly Daisy's staff Emily was extremely helpful before I was an official client. My dog seemed well taken care of when I came to pick him up after 10 days at Daisy's while I was overseas. He was on antibiotics which should have been completed a couple days prior to my return. When I picked him up and asked how it went with the meds Emily said she'd been giving him 1/2 pill a day. The dosage was 1 & 1/2 pill a day. I was happy she was honest about their failure to administer the medication correctly. When it turned out the condition did not go away I had to go back to the vet for another round of antibiotics and different more expensive ones since the original prescription was not administered correctly and my dog was now likely resistant to those antibiotics. I contacted Daisy's to see if they would consider paying for the new medication and follow-up vet visit. Initially the owner Mindy Jernigan Black was aghast and apologetic and relieved I was still willing to bring my pup there. I even said I was willing to take credit for the amount since I anticipated using their services. Then I lost my job and needed the money I'd spent at the vet. I contacted Mindy via the same personal email she had responded to me with initially. From beg-Oct - end of Nov I tried 3 times to reach Mindy via email and never got a reply. I called Daisy's and on two occasions asked if the owner could please call me back. She never returned my calls. I finally saw her Facebook page was connected to the Daisy's Doghouse page and contacted her via messenger. She replied right away saying nobody had asked her to call me and how could she help me. She refused to reimburse me for vet and antibiotic bills and said it was not their fault and that he staff had done nothing wrong. I have to be honest that she did reimburse me for my remaining package of a few days I had left. Despite that, I felt bad and blamed even though her employee had admitted to mis administering the meds. Luckily it wasn't a serious condition and with the 2nd round of antibiotics it cleared up however it took from Aug 27-end of November due to having to wait 1 month in between treatments (per the vets recommendation) Mindy was unkind and blamed me. Emily the staff who had initially been honest then lied when I saw her next in person saying she never administered the meds incorrectly. Her husband was there the first time when she admitted it. I was shocked and confused that she would blatantly lie to my face after having admitted it the day I picked him up. I would be careful if using Daisy's for overnights. Make sure they enter the correct information into the computer. I had supplied the original prescription bottle as well as a 4x6 notecard with detailed instructions. Jay who also works there was excellent, kind, professional and responsive. Try to work with him. He has a great, positive and helpful approach. There are good things about Daisy's and I was a fan but this stressful situation when I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt while also losing my job was unnecessary and caused me a lot of grief loss of faith in people's ability to be decent, human and honest. This business is in a traditionally gay and diverse neighborhood. Of course I know people in this neighborhood are also TRUMP supporters and many are not. The owner of Daisy's Doghouse is a TRUMP supporter which is displayed on her Facebook page. I thought people should know who and what they are supporting when using Daisy's services. Knowing what I know now and the experience I had I would look for another business to support and care for your furry babies. read more

Actual Angels on Earth! When I heard that I had to drive to and from Houston, which was two hours away from me, for 30 days, I instantly thought of my Frenchie - Chanel - who had just turned one and is *high* maintenance. She is not used to being left alone a lot and since I was going to be gone 12 hours a day I was in a panic trying to figure out what to do with her. I had taken my other little one to this place years ago back when it was it was Daisy's and had a great experience. They got her in for an assessment and it became part of our normal daily routine. I have been so hesitant to let anyone watch her since I've heard horror stories of Frenchies getting hurt at Doggy Daycare. Well, these people turned out to be real life angels! Chanel ran in and jumped in their arms every morning, and I had to pull her away to go home in the evenings. These people really and truly care. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that she was being taken care of (and probably better than I do). We are back in our old routine and Chanel isn't quite sure what to do without their 24/7 attention and snuggles, but we will ever be so grateful this place and these people exist! read more

TL;DR: I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. I am so grateful to have found the Ruff-House. Not only is the staff wonderful, but the facility is great, clean, and offers both indoor and outside play. My dog loves going to daycare, and I love the results (a happy & pooped pup). The staff are extremely responsive; they send me cute pics/videos; and they even catered to my dog's adjustment to a new daycare--trying all sorts different methods to make her comfortable. Thanks to their patience, my pup can't get enough. The Ruff-House is the place to go if you have a high energy puppy that just wants to play all day while you're off bringing home the beggin' strips. We love Ruff House! But more importantly, our dog loves Ruff House. We use them mainly for boarding and appreciate that they are crate free since our dog is never created at home. She actually runs up the steps with her tail tagging to go in. Other places we'd need to carry her in. It is so clear that everyone working there loves dogs and treats them like family. At night, dogs can even sleep in bed with one of the owners "just like at home." We used to dread having to board our dog so we could enjoy a vacation. Not any more. The staff at Ruff-House treats my dog like family and she enjoys hanging out there with her friends. My dog has separation anxiety, and daycare has helped out so much. When she hops in the car for the morning ride, she knows exactly where she is going and can't control her excitement. Once we get to daycare, she darts through the door and doesn't look back. I suppose I should be glad that my dog leaves me without a look back. I love Daisy's! I've taken my pup here several times, and she always comes home happy and tired. Everyone is extremely friendly. I've spoken with Emily several times over the phone and as soon as I mention my name, she remembers my dog. When I drop my dog off, they always know I'm coming and confirm that my dog's food (portions are noted in the computer) has not changed. Though the daily rate is more expensive than other boarding places, I've found it's worth every penny and that I ultimately save money. I found at other places, I had to pay for walk time, cuddle time, etc which always made the daily fee more expensive than initially posted. At Daisy's, the dogs are never kenneled, always able to play with other dogs that have been vetted to be friendly. In order to board here, you must have up to date vaccination records and your pup needs to do a day of boarding, like a doggy interview. read more

Discriminates against select dog breeds, when asked about availability, got a short response of "we don't do pit bulls" my dogs are just as, if not more well behaved than any other dog I have ever met. They are sweethearts who just want to play and cuddle but because they are a certain breed, they will not even be considered to stay here. Words cannot express the love I have for Daisy's Doghouse. My mini dachshund, Sadie Mae, has never liked going to daycare or boarding. As soon as we pull up to Daisy's my love bug wiggles her entire body in excitement. Not only does Daisy's offer cage-free daycare, but boarding is cage-free as well. At the end of the day Sadie Mae is tuckered out from all the playtime. There is a huge backyard with a playset, tubes and toys for the dogs to enjoy. End of march/beginning of April was the first time Bruce and Ivy were left Boarding. I was very hesitant and worried to leave them for the first time two weeks in a row. Bruce had gone thru surgery from his broken leg and needed special care. My Brucey was treated like family and was able to heal well, all the staff took the time to provide medications and extra time to him, they also made sure to email me plenty of pictures!!! I am very pleased with the service provided by Daisy's Doghouse my pets will definitely come to daycare and Boarding when needed. We LOVE Daisy's! I am (admittedly) a helicopter dog mom, and I was so nervous about putting my dog in boarding for the first time while we were out of town on a week-long family vacation. (She has some anxiety and can be a handful when she's stressed out.) After looking into quite a few places around town, we stopped by Daisy's to check it out and were so impressed! Their staff is so friendly, the facility is extremely clean, and they really do care about all the dogs in their care. We did a few days of day care and a "practice" sleepover before our trip, and they were always open and honest about how my dog did while she was there. When we were away on our trip, they posted lots of photos and updates on Facebook -- it was great to see what they were up to throughout the week! I've been bringing my dog to Daisy's now for a few weeks and he absolutely loves it. They are so friendly and really make me feel comfortable leaving my dog all day while I am at work. They are also very flexible when I call last minute in the mornings to bring my dog by. Daisy's is also a dog bakery and they have the cutest doggy cookies, cakes and treats. My baby loves this place! He hops right out of my arms whenever they open the door. Little rascal won't even say bye! I'm so glad I found a place that keeps him happy and safe while I'm at work. This was our first time leaving Onions at Daisys Doghouse and we were very nervous because it was for twelve nights. Not only because Daisys was new to us, but also we had never been away from him for that long. But I couldn't give them a higher rating! While I was on vacation far away I could log onto their Facebook page and see pics and videos of him playing and having a great time. I can't tell you how that eased our minds! Besides that, their overnight guy Jay was so super nice and emailed us personally as well. We have 2 fur babies and hated the thought of leaving our "kids" in a kennel at the vet, but luckily we found Daisys! Our girls stayed there while we were on our honeymoon for 6 days.
