Petbar - Looking good thanks to PetBar WhiteOaK - Pet Groomers Near Me - Houston, Texas

I took my pet in with Vee. I can't recommend this groomer enough! They always do an amazing job, and my pet comes home looking and smelling great every time. The staff is friendly, professional, and truly cares about the pets they work with. It's such a relief knowing my pet is in such good hands. Thank you for the excellent care! read more

First time grooming at Petbar and we will be back. Usually use mobile groomers for my baby because he gets seen right away and doesn't have to wait or be kenneled. Or surrounded by anxious dogs barking. The minute I walked into Petbar, I noticed how quiet the place was. My pup was taken back and tended to immediately, they don't kennel here or keep dogs waiting around. They also have multiple groomers working together on one pup, which cuts down the grooming time and speeds things up significantly. Everything is by appointment and you drop your pup off at your appointment time only. No early drop offs means no dogs waiting around The staff was also very friendly, educational, communicative, and attentive. Highly recommend. read more

Website states self wash stations are open with last wash starting 30 minutes prior to close. Only to arrived near 45 minutes before close and the attendant tell me a new corporate policy change moved it to 1 hour. Thanks for the updated info. read more

I needed a new groomer, so I contacted Petbar through Yelp to get a quote, and they directed me to their website, where I was able to set up an appointment for that same week. Once I dropped her off, they estimated she would be ready within three hours, but they called me 1.5 hours later saying she was ready. They did a lovely job on my 54lb Golden Retriever. For a bath and haircut, total came out to $145 before tip. I felt it was a little pricey, but I am satisfied with the end result. I will certainly use their services again in the future. read more

Nice poodle groom. Doodle also. Communication was a little difficult, in part because it was noisy

Katrina is always so kind and gentle with my pumps sensitive skin, her staff is always kind and helpful as well.

I went here to use self groom and to get a quick face shape up for my dog. Everything went really well staff was super helpful and friendly After that I went back again for a full groom. My fur baby looked so nice. You can book online or call. Either way it's good services. read more

The neighborhood I am staying in is a cul-de-sac.. and there was poor dog roaming around for almost a week. She was severely under weight. The neighborhood took turns putting out water and food for her. She kinda looked pregnant so I was a bit concerned since the hoa said they would have her euthanized... so we took her in for a week now. And fatten her up ;) After calling many non kill shelters, and vets to get her the correct medical treatment she needed...I was getting discouraged since so many programs were full. When we reached out to PetBar through yelp about the situation... not only did they answer within two hours but they were so incredibly kind! Their groomers are top notch! I can tell they were professional because they knew how to handle her ... it seems like the dog was beaten because she was scared and very on guard... every time you try to pet her she would flinch :( and duck. I didn't know how she would deal with the stress of grooming. We can't afford to keep her and I am allergic to most dogs and cats. So our best bet is to get her all squared away health and cleanliness wise for the best outcome. I didn't have much hope since I called so many places... yet... Pet Bar has exceeded our expectations of quality skillful professionals with kind hearts. One of the best grooming places I have been to! They were so sweet and the owners were so generous with providing "sweet pea" with all the hygienic care that was long overdue. I highly recommend this outstanding establishment! From the owners to the staff in the front and their groomers. Trust that your lovely fury friends are safe and more than loved here. Once again I would like to thank the owners on behalf of sweet pea! After her vet appointment on Monday she is in her best attire to find a loving home! :) thank you so much again guys! Have a wonderful weekend! read more

VERY rough with the dogs. I've been there twice to use the self wash for my large breed dog. Both times I've witnessed the staff being unnecessarily rough with the small dogs they handle. A dog shouldn't be crying out in pain for 5 mins straight while the groomers have earbuds in and completely ignore/don't give the dog a break to calm. It's disturbing. Another time I saw them drag a dog who froze in fear across the floor like a mop to the grooming area. They are far too rough with the dogs, especially the ones who are terrified. I didn't even finish drying my dog because I couldn't bear to listen to the dog that was screaming. I let the manager know my concern, but they couldn't be bothered to reply so I'm left to post it here. read more

Their self wash stations are very convenient. I was expecting less because of the low price but everything was great and provided all you need to groom! Definitely recommend read more

They really do a great job. A little more expensive than others but the pup is squeaky clean and happy. Great staff. Very helpful. They also have self wash so I can offset whenever I need to. read more

I don't even wanna give them one star, my small dog wasn't cut properly and I paid 90$ for nothing. when I picked up my dog the groomer was not there. I was supposed to come back the next day but family emergency so I called when that was over and they said I will have to pay more since it's been 2 days. horrible. my dog left smelling like other dogs. not sanitary read more

My pup went in for her very first groom and Katalina (the groomer) was so gentle with her! I previously took my puppy to another groomer, but the groomers energy was bad & it rubbed off on my nervous puppy. I brought my baby in to Petbar and had a totally different experience! They were kind to me over the phone & also kind to my pup! They even asked me if I was satisfied with her cut or if they could make any adjustments! I will definitely be back. read more

My wheaten was shaved the first time because he was matted, we had no choice. The second time he wasn't and was shaved again and not done right either. His face was way short as well. I'm getting the impression they have no clue about wheaten terriers and if you don't know, don't work on them. I won't be back read more

My issue is with the membership. Be sure to read the small print. The ONLY way to cancel is in office! if you are no longer in the area, they will tell you that that you must come in. I had two months of unused grooms. THOSE DO NOT ROLL OVER. If you don't use them, you lose them - with NO REFUND or credit. They could care less that I was a paying customer who had the membership for a good while, and even transferred to their location from another site in a different city. In short, I cancelled the membership and will not be returning. read more

Horrible experience, they couldn't delivered the hair cut I asked, they're not professional pet groomers.

Love this place! I've lived in Houston almost 3 years now and have tried a few groomers. Petbar delivers the exact cut we request each time. My favorite aspect is that they have individual appointment slots so our dogs go in when it's actually time for their cut. Most groomers just take all the dogs in the morning and let them sit in crates all day, screaming, while they await their appointment. This doesn't happen at Petbar. We take the dogs in at the designated time, the groomer comes out personally to get them and then takes them directly to a private grooming room. When I go to pick them up, they are waiting together in a fenced-off area just for them, not crated behind closed doors. Love this place. It's my forever grooming spot in Houston! read more

My dog had a great time and her haircut looks fabulous! We have found a new groomer at a great price.

I'm come here for the self service wash & every time I get greeted by the super friendly staff. I have a double coat dog and usually takes two rinses and a leave in conditioner to her coat clean and never do I feel rushed. The showers and blow dryers are always clean. Definitely recommend taking your pet here! read more

Amazing!! They were very nice and gave a great haircut. They called before cutting because our dog was more matted than expected and they wanted to give us a head's up that she would be cut pretty short. Easy checkin/check out process. Extremely walkable for the area. Self wash stations include towels, a few different soaps, blow dry station, ear cleaning, and brushes as well as aprons for the pet parents. read more

Really nice work for a first time experience. I worked with Karina, who was an excellent groomer and got my boy looking really good, despite his nervous disposition. My guy is friendly and loving, but very shy. We first went to Petbar on Tuesday and apparently he was so afraid they couldn't cut him (he was jumping off the table and evacuating his bowels a lot. So they didn't charge me and offered me another time with Karina, a very experienced groomer. We came back and Karina was very nice and helpful, she took us in right away and let me stay with him so he would feel comfortable. He had no accidents and was generally calm. After a bit he grew comfortable with Karina and I was able to leave. He looks much better now and she got rid of all these terrible mats that had developed. read more

Crazy busy, but they got me in. Cooper looked and smelled good. They cleaned up his face very well. Also, onion creek was a great place to hang while he was being groomed. read more

Highly recommend this place for dog's spa and grooming. Our golden doodle dog loved being there from the moment we entered the location. She came out looking with gorgeous locks and smelling beautifully. Easy online reservations. Staff is very friendly and happy to answe all questions and concerns. First time bringing my three huskies to Petbar for grooming. Amazing de-shed service for my three huskies. Will be returning for grooming!

Crystal the groomer did an awesome job with my new poodle mix puppy. It was her second time being groomed and she did exactly what I requested - and my dog looked so cute! She was very fast and the price was really great. I use the Self Service wash as well after a visit to the dog park. Highly recommend! Every staff member has been so friendly and helpful. read more

Took my doodle to get a wash and just a trim around the eyes yesterday and she came back with the bridge of her nose shaved. I specifically told them when I dropped her off just around the eyes. I even mentioned not to touch the bridge of the nose because this has happened before and it took a long time for it to grow back. I will not be going back. :( read more

Decided to bring my dog for the self service after work today. I also wanted them to trim her nails. I ended up walking in at 5:15pm and the woman working said I need to arrive at least an hour before closing. However their website clearly states it is 30 min before closing (screenshot below). She did say I could wash my dog if I was done by 5:45pm but no one else is there to trim her nails. I get it, it's the end of the day but how are they not staffed? Just disappointed. I think if you visit this business you should call before just to be sure they meet your expectations. read more

Just a warning. The dogs aren't put in a kennel while waiting. My puppy got hurt there, he jumped over the door of the waiting area and has a long road to recovery. It has been challenging to say the least. read more

Charged 120 for the most mediocre haircut my dog has ever had and she doesn't even smell good. If i'm paying 95 dollars for a routine grooming on a medium sized dog that doesn't shed I'd expect the haircut to be included??? Will not be returning. The staff was nice at least. read more

Love this place! The staff is amazing and always so helpful! My two babies enjoy coming here for their weekly bath! The girls at the front are so helpful and always remember the boys when they walk in. The price is amazing too, only bad part is the initiation fee. read more

First time using a self service dog spa and couldn't be happier I chose here! My (almost) 11 year old rescue desperately needed a bath that couldn't wait for a grooming appointment. Was in around 3 pm and was able to get in immediately! They were busy but the right amount of busy they have different selections of shampoo and can opt for conditioner (which made my husky/shepherd feel softest she has since her puppy years! The blow dry station is easy to use, dog deodorant and ear cleaner as well. We were in and out in about 40 minutes! read more

Great service, wonderful staff. They always take great care of our dog and we love the monthly membership options.

I have been coming to Karina for years she does an amazing color and groom for Nola every time! Best hands down in Houston!

i will never ever ever big my animals here again. brought my cat in for a trim and this is how he was returned. i called the owner and stated that i will be bringing my cat to a urgent care on her dime and also filing a civil suit for future payment. the er vet stated shes never seen nails that bad! why tf and how does this happen. fucking livid! 0 fucking stars read more

Facilities and staff are great. But I think they could do a bit better for customers who wait. That waiting area made up of a few chairs by the wall was awkward and uncomfortable that it felt better for me to just stand outside in the sun. read more
